The Friesian Horse
1. A photograph of "Sneek 500 jaar. Wedstrijd ringrijden" from 1956, and by Wim van Rossem.
2. A photograph of "Circus Strassburger. Regina Strassburger hogeschool dressuur" from 1948, and by J. D. Noske (1902-1972).
3. Friese hengsten (c. 1954) by Kuno Brinks (1908-1992).
4. Een Fries paard by Tethart Philipp Christian Haag (1737-1812). Fries paard is the Dutch name for Friesian horses.
5. Paard uit Friesland Phryso (in English: Horse from Friesland Phryso) from c. 1578 - 1583 and attributed to Hendrick Goltzius, after a design by Jan van der Straet. Even though not referred to as a Friesian this is a horse from Friesland - the Dutch province that Friesians orginated in - that shows the same features and likely gives a sense of the breeds earlier origins and appearance.

PLEASE NOTE: I made these fan redesigns before SSO announced their plans to make an actual Gen 3 Friesian. This can be corroborated on my Instagram account.
Any resemblance my designs might have to the Gen 3 Friesian, or their coat concepts is completely coincidental.
This was my own fan redesign of the "Jorvik Friesian" we have in-game. 🐎
Colors: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]
This sixth color is a flaxen chestnut with some slight dappling. As stated previously, chestnuts come in all shades and Chestnut Friesians have been slowly lightening up in recent years. While I have yet to come across a purebred Friesian that is a super light chestnut, I figure it's only a matter of time before one shows up.
Since different coat shades are not discriminated against in registries this variation is a very plausible outcome. This coat also sports a nice stripe on its face. While typical Friesian registries do not allow for any markings other than a small star, American registries allow for white markings. Dapples can occur on any coat and do not prevent Friesians from registration.
I used O. Redman Of RF as reference for this coat. He was a Friesian Stallion raised by Beddingfield Farms.
Redman wasn't actually as light as the coat I ended up making, but he was so pretty in this particular photo that I couldn't pass up the chance put it on my redesign.
