Just listened to that new Kate Nash song Germ and honestly… it’s complete dog shit. It sounds like some beep-boop propaganda track Big Brother would blare from the loudspeakers. It completely misses the point of radical feminism. Instead of giving you any grit or heart, it just reads like a list of sanitized slogans. The message boils down to “cis men are the problem, not trans people,” while completely ignoring the fact that trans-identified males are still men and yes, women do experience violence at their hands too. That’s why radical feminists speak up in the first place.

The song awkwardly rattles off rape statistics like it's doing feminist homework, then turns around and whines about male feelings in the same breath it admits how many women are murdered. Like....do you hear yourself? Feminism is for women. We’re not here to coddle males in dresses or out of them. It tried to serve riot grrrl rage and instead gave us a sad, soggy lecture. Awful.
