Spots like this one in the woods of the White Mountains have such a profound beauty to them that I always think fondly of when I am away from the mountains. Isn't there something wonderful about how while we get busy in our day to day lives these places just keep churning with wonder 24/7 and all throughout our changing seasons?

I sneakily uploaded all of the photographs from this year's Anime North Kimono and Case Display onto Flickr a few weeks ago... and then promptly forgot to post about (sorry!). So, for your viewing pleasure, be sure to check out our wonderful lineup of kimono and treasures! The theme of the kimono display this year was "The Secret Language of Plants" and focused on the symbolism behind, you guessed it, plants! The display case also held some very unique and valuable treasures (especially some karyukai ones) and its theme was simply "Asian Treasures." You can check it all out by clicking here ^^

OKAY i was sooorta hesitant to upload this considering i dont have everything figured out yet but since i have most of the main cast figured out i felt like i might as well show you that so!

yeah if you couldnt tell the swaps here are focused on two things mainly: 1. bringing some side characters into much more relevancy 2. just kinda wanted to be batshit insane with these i'll be honest LOL i promise these swaps make more sense once you think abt them a little more so i'll be sure to explain character dynamics and all that!! i want this au to be different from most of the other swap au takes ive seen :3

designs will come... eventually! i can at least say i have plenty of ideas and school should be slowing down sooner or later so! stay tuned!!

Anime North Time!

Sorry for not answering questions over the past few days, but it's Anime North time once again! This year's kimono exhibit theme is "The Secret Language of Plants" and explores various plants and the symbolism behind them. I'm also doing a panel on my upcoming book "The Guide To Kimono" that will be taking place at 6pm in the Berton Room in the TCC South Building on Saturday. You can come check out the book itself and learn all about various kimono and Japanese clothing items, how to date them, and how to price them for insurance and re-selling purposes. There will be a kimono for sale for charity and some other items for charity as well, so come and check us out ^^!
