Ok do you guys know the card game spoons? Cause I played with some friends today and God this is some shit that Saturday would eat the fuck out of and if we've ever said they have like weekly or biweekly game nights I'm retconing the entire history of this fandom and pretending like we have cause it'd so be in their game night rotation

#they would also absolutly have game nights #anyways spoons is so fun #but v e r y chaotic #i was introduced to the game in like 3rd grade which i think is year 4 in the not murica at an after school program #and i loved it and also hopped elementary schools quite a bit #so whenever we had indoor recess id wip the game out cause its fun and you just need a deck of cards and a stand in for the spoons #if no actual spoons are available #and i got this game banned from 3 different classrooms and two different schools and got it banned at the after school program at the second #cause the girl pops got too rowdy about spoons #we also did mild gambling in the last classroom so that one was understandable #but based on the insanity of 16-18 year olds playing it today it mustve been buckwild with a bunch of elementary kids #like the shrill ass primal scream one of my guy friends let out 💀💀💀#if this gets out #itgo

One of my DnD kids wrote me a “thank you” card and gave me a bad for my dice that has cartoon cats on it. 😭💕

#the bag says “people I love: cats”#so that is my vibe apparently #i also let the kids bribe me with cat photos to go easier on them when they botch their rolls #and have a giant weird die that is the “die of shame” for when the bad rolls keep on happening #so #they are good kids #they deserve for the game to be fun not punishing #this was our last session before they age out of the program at the library #against all odds i am going to miss them

not to make the most pivotal scene of Mockingjay about boys because ew and that's never the point but I also think Katniss is undoubtedly motivated throughout the entire series (as we all are) by the need to protect and defend the people she loves. And while in no way do I think Gale is the main reason she shoots Coin. I do think there's a part of her that sees Coin as the woman who manipulated Gale just as Snow manipulated Peeta. Not in the exact same way of course, but the end result was the same, wasn't it? She couldn't recognize either of them. Them, the two people she loved most in the world apart from Prim. So while she kills Coin because she sees the evil Coin is willing to perpetuate and encourage, do I also think it was incredibly personal when she pulled back that arrow? Absolutely. She was thinking about Coin destroying Gale destroying Prim.

I've been watching videos lately on pokemon rng manipulation and holy crap its so cool. Makes me want to try and catch locked event pokemon, and get myself a copy of pokemon emerald

#shut up me #Ive been watching a lot of videos on pokemon math and programming lately and i love it #I love glitches in gen 4 and below pokemon games SO MUCH. I used to watch so many videos about them as a kid #(though now that I think about it- are there any interesting ones in gen 5 or 6?)#anyways. I was fucking terrified of bad eggs and I still kind of am lol #The duplicating eggs slowly taking over your pc boxes and effectively corrupting your save... the punishment for your hubris in playing god #Ahhh. On a slightly related note I think im going to try shiny hunting rotom in pokemon diamond #no rng manip but also i think rng manip is a pretty valid way to get a shiny. to be honest #like some of the glitches you have to do to rng manip a shiny are CRAZY and I think are commendable in a different way #I need to learn more about glitchy speedruns i love this stuff

im also just rly enjoying how the groundwork to the reveal that this is all the fault of Big Real Estate is laid out i think it's just enough to be subtle and clever about it while also enhancing replays because now you get to spot all the lil billboards/ads and one-liners and posters and other things and go ohhhhhh.......

#like i think that the thing about the fraud being completely based on siphoning money from a vet program wouldve went over my head if #camille and gavriel weren't already like holding my hand and doing utena pointer fingers during my first playthrough #and it's not like i was a kid playing it i was well in my 20s and i think i wouldve been too stupid to Get It if i was by myself LOL #but that's also kinda made me realize that a lot of people who have played and replayed this game still dont get that it's about real estat #........#the newspaper flashbacks also definitely feel WAY more relevant WAY earlier on. imp #imo****#also i guess it's biased sample size but everybody else i talked to irl about this game seems to think that it's about a dope cop mystery #so hmmm.
