Just thinking. Gaster had been in the void for quite a long while, surely long enough to where he was used to not seeing anything. So when Sans teleported him out, I feel like suddenly having light in his eye would've left him hissing in pain as he shields his eye, and all the dialogue that's in that scene gets put on hold for several long minutes XD

TRULY THE GREATEST PUNISHMENT OF ALL assuming eye sockets work for skeletons like that, haha.

Gaster swearing is like :o but I was thinking about that one older comic where he swore in front of the brothers and they started copying him, much to his dismay. Not a common thing, but sometimes!

what if gaster in a future chapter calls out the audience for speculating so much about him. the guy canonically has some amount of access to Real Life Social Media. like i started this mostly as a joke but there are definitely some real metanarrative opportunities for a character with recklessly curious impulses, and possibly a fragile sense of self, having nearly limitless access to streams of debate over whether or not he’s a bastard. rude to talk about someone who’s listening etc

What are your current thoughts on Gaster’s motives with the Secret Bosses, if you had to give your best guess?

To be completely honest, I'm of the mind that he doesn't necessarily have malicious intent with breaking their senses of reality (if he is the one doing it), but he severely misjudges how they're going to take the information he gives them.

So he's less of a villainous force, and more of a cryptid that flits in the corner of your eye, and as soon as you turn your head like "What? What was that?" your croissant has gone missing.

Doctor, as an entity/NETWORK who has only recently managed to … break into a Dark World, would you mind indulging me in how you had so easily asserted your presence/NOISE over the unfortunate few that were the jester and the puppet? I personally found sending simple messages from the void/ISN’T to be a difficult task at best, and yet you were very capable of maintaining a clean connection.

Are you ever going to make a character reference for handplates gaster

My first thought was like "of course I've done a ref sheet" and then I thought wait... have I? SO HERE IT IS AFTER THE COMIC HAS ALREADY BEEN FINISHED my timing is impeccable. I THINK this should cover everything... I guess if I forgot something I can add it later, haha.

Edit: People seem startled that he's shorter than Undyne! I just headcanon her as very tall lol.
