A disgustingly economic discussion that is far more clear about the realities of covid than what our governments are telling us
“There is a huge delusion at the moment that COVID is over and when we talk about it, we say ‘when the pandemic happened’ but actually it is still happening,” he said. “So, insurance companies need to be very conscious of that and to be thinking ahead. Swiss Re has a powerful role across the market to make sure that this is being thought about. “In our view, there are a range of scenarios, but most of them anticipate a return to normality in five to 10 years, depending on your level of optimism. And we think that because of the other more fundamental movements happening around cancer, lifestyle risk and eventually Alzheimer's, to name the three biggest ones, that mortality improvements will also return over the longer term.”
By Mia Wallace
“COVID-19 is far from over.”
A recent Swiss Re report suggested potential excess mortality in the general population of up to 3% in the US and 2.5% in the UK by 2033 in a pessimistic scenario, highlighting the lingering impact of COVID-19 – both as a direct cause of death and as a contributor to cardiovascular mortality.
Discussing the report with Re-Insurance Business, Paul Murray (pictured), CEO of L&H Reinsurance at Swiss Re, outlined some of the key ageing and mortality trends shaping the life and health reinsurance market today. “Of course, we saw excess mortality when we were locked down and experiencing the pandemic but now we’ve returned to normal life, we think it’s over and it’s not. People are still getting ill with the COVID infection and they’re still dying.”
The debate for the market now is how long that trend is likely to continue, and whether its impact will fade over time – with Swiss Re’s recent report offering multiple scenarios into the reinsurance giant’s viewpoint on that question. Top of mind is understanding the key factors driving future mortality trends and changing life expectancy statistics – and how these influencing factors may change going forward.
What are the top trends driving future mortality trends? Pinpointing some of the key considerations driving future mortality trends, Murray underscored the need to look at historical data. “The headline for me is always that there has been a phenomenal period of mortality improvements, of life expectancy extending. This is probably one of the biggest social transformations that the human race has been through.
“One of the main drivers of that has been cardiovascular improvements. Smoking cessation helped a lot towards that in the 20th century and is continuing now as well. There’s also new technology that enables low-intervention cardiovascular surgery, like stents. We’ve shifted from a lot of surgery having to be open-heart and high-risk in an operating theatre to in-and-out in a day with injected stents. It has been completely transformational.”
Where do medical advances go next? The ”plumbing” of the human body and the way it’s protected and healed by modern medicine has been largely optimised, he said, but now some of the benefits of that is starting to level off. Looking to the future, he sees that there is still the potential for some further improvements as a factor driving increased life expectancy, particularly amid improving access to information and education about healthy living choices – and improving intervention techniques.
“When we look forward, I anticipate the area where we have the best chance of improvements is on the cancer side,” he said. “Comparatively to cardiovascular risk, improvements to cancer treatments have been relatively low in the past. Of course, it’s very complex as 'cancer' is a bucket term which combines 200-plus types, but we are seeing some very promising technologies emerging here that will help address that.
“Take mRNA vaccines, for instance, which are not new but became very prominent in the pandemic, specifically as it helped us develop vaccines very quickly. mRNA capabilities, combined with immunotherapy, are currently in trials, and showing very significant improvements in outcomes for cancer patients in specific causes. And we've only really started scratching the surface of that. Looking 10-to-30 years out, which is the duration we have to think about as life insurers, we think that’s a prominent contributor to future improvement.”
Alzheimer's is another pressing area for consideration, he said, as, with people generally living longer, this is becoming a much more significant risk. Due to a myriad of reasons, more people than ever are living with Alzheimer’s today and society is being increasingly challenged to deal with it and to support those living with the disease. “Again, improvements in dealing with Alzheimer's historically have not been that great, and I think this is one area where there's the potential for a meaningful breakthrough, and we're starting to see some signs of that in scientific research.”
Understanding the impact of lifestyle factors on future mortality trends An interesting element shaping discourse in the life and health reinsurance market is the question of the impact of lifestyle factors on future mortality trends. Murray noted that if you characterize overall mortality rates into lifestyle or non-communicable diseases, between 30-40% of mortality is driven by lifestyle choices – including such factors as what you eat, whether you smoke, whether you exercise, how much sugar you eat, and how you manage your stress.
The insured population are typically quite happy to engage with that, he said, and Swiss Re is seeing improvement on those metrics, but there remain large swathes of the overall population who don’t engage in that conversation. As more data emerges over time, he believes the market will start to see stronger connections between activity and outcomes which, in turn, will help it to drive better results.
“An interesting area here is diabetes and Swiss Re is taking a leadership position on this globally,” he said. “We regularly engage with policymakers around the world – with doctors and thinkers on nutrition and food policy in particular – to [highlight] how your diet has a big impact on your health, but also to assess whether the current advice is appropriate for the future.
“Obesity and diabetes continue to increase. That debate has a long way to go, but if it continues to evolve positively, it will have a positive impact on mortality.”
Poor metabolic health drives obesity and diabetes, which are offsetting previous advances made by treating cardiovascular diseases and smoking cessation. The emergence of GLP-1/GIP weight loss injectables has shown early promise in reducing weight and improving baseline clinical risk factors, when combined with long-term lifestyle alterations. Although long-term data doesn’t yet exist on the impact of GLP-1 drugs, in the short term these medications are showing positive results in reducing all-causes, and specifically cardiovascular mortality. In addition, the drugs appear to positively affect a range of other conditions such as cancer, liver and kidney diseases, and even neurodegenerative diseases.
When will excess mortality return to pre-pandemic levels? Underpinning the broader conversation is the big question on the minds of many across the life and health reinsurance market – when, or if, excess mortality will return to pre-pandemic levels. Swiss Re’s recent paper posited both a pessimistic and an optimistic scenario because its role is not to say what will happen, but rather to encourage people to think about the tail risk of the COVID crisis and how it might play out.

Donation Found!
Remember Ryder? The SoCal pretty boy who was depressed that his life was a vapid, superficial, and party focused existence? He contacted Turnaround Technologies to ask, nay plead for a new body and a new life. See his Donation Request Form.
If only it were that simple. Turnaround Technologies utilizes some of the most advanced science on the market. When a body is fully adjusted, it's a slow and sometimes torturous process! If it was as simple as switching brains, that would be one thing. But the subjects have to physically transform into one another, and then brainwaves are overwritten. Chemistry, genetics, biology, and psychology are all involved in this elaborate process.
So Ryder had to come up with the $325,000 fee. Luckily, he had money saved and he was able to sell off the red Mustang convertible and his yellow Yamaha Sport Bike to meet the target. The final straw was giving up the deed to his WeHo apartment. Don't tell him, but his donor bought the items! Isn't that funny? He covered the rest with personal loans! Well, a little bit of debt won't hurt.
Let's remind you of where Ryder is starting his journey:
Tumblr media
And now let's the see information plate for his donor. I think he'll be very pleased! After this, he'll never have to worry about being surrounded by vapid, beautiful people and fending off pesky pool party invites! Yes, this is the ideal swap partner for Ryder.
Tumblr media
Meet Dr. Pervus Fondler. And wouldn't you know it? Dr. Fondler was a doctor in Ryder's hometown! They actually know each other. The good doctor cares very deeply for Ryder and was pained when he heard about his current circumstances. He decided that his job as a physician meant he had to step up and give the ultimate sacrifice! You know what they say: First Do No Harm.
Donor Statement: While I am nervous about the process, I am confident that I will give Ryder a new future, one where he won't have to worry about all that vanity and his gym obsession. True freedom for the boy!
Thank you, doctor, for going the extra mile for your patients. Turnaround Technologies will prepare the Exchange Chambers. Both subjects will be stripped down and cleansed before being placed in metallic, moisture wicking bikinis while our technicians prepare for the process:
Tumblr media
Now that Ryder is dressed and the drugs are injected into his system, it's time to introduce him to his generous benefactor. I hope he has a positive reaction to the kind of man he will become. Let's check in!
Tumblr media
Patient Statement: No! Holy shit! No, not Pervus the Perv! You can't put me in that. Don't force me into that body! I'd be going from a perfect ten to a zero. Please! No... LET GO. Please, oh my God. No, I thought it would be another buff guy like me. I change my mind, I changed my mi--**UMPH HRRMPH**
It's not clear why Ryder objected so strongly to his partner. Maybe it was the shock of knowing who the doctor was from earlier in his life. At any rate, he paid the fee and signed the paperwork so there is, quite literally, no going back. Swaps of this nature are once in a lifetime and, of course, quite permanent.
Subject had to be forcibly gagged and sedated.
Add another $125,000 for the service. Ryder sure is going to pay a lot of money for his new life!
When he came to in the chamber, Ryder was pounding on the door. I think he was crying. His oversize genitalia were mashed against the glass in his silver pouch. It was quite the sight. When the whirr of the machine began and the paralyzing blue light hit, his eyes went crossed. He fell backwards and pumped his hips in the air. Well, the erection is to be expected. I've heard the process somewhat erotic, though painful.
It takes a couple days and the exchange unstable during that time, but I am happy to report the following:
Tumblr media
Donor Report: I feel good. Very good. I'm probably going to move to SoCal, sort of take over Ryder's apartment. I'll probably start using his name now too. Don't wanna confuse people. I don't even have my old, perverted urges. I hope he's comfortable with the mental traits foisted on him. Oh... he wants to take picture of me? Ha, okay. I'll flex for $100. Recipient Report: What do you mean I can't go back *whimper* why do I feel so strange. I'm already out of breath. Give it back! What do you mean a name change is included in the package *sob* MY NAME IS PERVUS NOW??!?! Oh. I have to take his medical practice in my shithole hometown? Oh God! I just... oh goodness, seeing it from this angle it's such a fine body. So tight and firm! At least flex for me, my boy? A little. So I can snap a few pics and... use them later. Eehehe. Oh God, what have I become?

Gabriel Sherman at Vanity Fair:
In the past week, Donald Trump has signaled a desire to rule like a strongman rather than a president constrained by constitutional norms. Last Friday, Trump’s vice president, JD Vance, scolded democratic NATO allies and met with the leader of Germany’s extreme-right AfD party. On Saturday, Trump declared on social media: “He who saves his Country does not violate any Law.” This Tuesday, Trump blamed Ukrainian presidentVolodymyr Zelenskyy for the brutal war that was launched by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. “You should have never started it,” Trump falsely said of Zelenskyy, when in fact Putin invaded Ukraine in February 2022. The US president then doubled down on the feud Wednesday, calling Zelenskyy a “dictator.” Democrats are in the minority in both the House and Senate, which means the federal courts and congressional Republicans are the only guardrails on Trump’s second term. So far the judicial system seems to be holding—though a Trump-packed Supreme Court is now destined to rule on all manner of alleged overreach in the coming months. (And it’s an open question as to whether Trump will actually abide by rulings that go against him.)
Republicans in Congress, however, have consistently folded—approving all of Trump’s Cabinet picks, such as Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard, with only a faint whiff of pushback on some of their boundary-scorching backgrounds. The confirmations predictably short-circuited many Democratic observers, but the rolling headlines of late have even some Republicans decrying the seeming erosion of checks and balances in recent weeks. “These are the heirs of the Greatest Generation, and they turned out to be the worst generation,” says Stuart Stevens, who served as a chief strategist on Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign and has since left the GOP, joining the anti-Trump Lincoln Project as a senior adviser. “It’s tempting to compare Republicans to Prussian aristocrats in 1930s Germany. But Prussian aristocrats were more responsible. They were dealing with civil unrest and the threat of a communist takeover. Republicans today have historically low unemployment, a record stock market. What’s their excuse?”
Political survival is one. Senate and House Republicans know Trump will orchestrate the running of a primary challenger backed by Elon Musk’s unlimited resources if a member defies him. But this is not the whole story of Republican subservience to the president. In private, Republicans talk about their fear that Trump might incite his MAGA followers to commit political violence against them if they don’t rubber-stamp his actions. “They’re scared shitless about death threats and Gestapo-like stuff,” a former member of Trump’s first administration tells me. According to one source with direct knowledge of the events, North Carolina senator Thom Tillis told people that the FBI warned him about “credible death threats” when he was considering voting against Pete Hegseth’s nomination for defense secretary. Tillis ultimately provided the crucial 50th vote to confirm the former Fox & Friends host to lead the Pentagon. [...]
From the moment Trump descended his golden escalator in June 2015 to announce his first run for president, he injected menace into his political rhetoric. On the campaign trail he talked about wanting to punch protesters in the face. During his first term, he praised Montana’s then representative Greg Gianforte for physically attacking Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs in 2017. “Any guy that can do a body slam, he is my type!” Trump said. (Gianforte later pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and received a six-month deferred jail sentence.) When protests erupted after a Minneapolis police officer murdered George Floyd in 2020, Trump called protesters “thugs” and said: “When the looting starts, the shooting starts.” The phrase echoed a remark made in the 1960s by a Miami police chief associated with stoking racial tensions in the city (Trump claimed he wasn’t aware of its origins). In a September 2020 debate against Joe Biden, Trump refused to condemn white supremacist violence and told the Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by.”
January 6 further catalyzed GOP fear of Trump-inspired violence. Romney told his biographer, McKay Coppins, that an undercurrent of anxiety thwarted Republican efforts to formally punish Trump for his role in inciting the riot. “One Republican congressman confided to Romney that he wanted to vote for Trump’s second impeachment, but chose not to out of fear for his family’s safety,” Coppins wrote in his book. “When one senator, a member of leadership, said he was leaning toward voting to convict, the others urged him to reconsider. You can’t do that, Romney recalled someone saying. Think of your personal safety, said another. Think of your children. The senator eventually decided they were right.” Former Wyoming representative and prominent anti-Trump Republican Liz Cheney told CNN that House GOP members confided to her that they were “afraid for their own security—afraid, in some instances, for their lives.” Representative Jason Crow of Colorado told NBC News after January 6: “I had a lot of conversations with my Republican colleagues last night, and a couple of them broke down in tears—saying that they are afraid for their lives if they vote for this impeachment.”
Republican Peter Meijer, then a Michigan representative, told Atlantic writer Tim Alberta in 2021 that one colleague seemed to nearly have a nervous breakdown over fears of being harmed by MAGA supporters if he were to vote to certify the 2020 election results: “He asked his new colleague if he was okay,” Alberta reported. “The member responded that he was not; that no matter his belief in the legitimacy of the election, he could no longer vote to certify the results, because he feared for his family’s safety. ‘Remember, this wasn’t a hypothetical. You were casting that vote after seeing with your own two eyes what some of these people are capable of,’ Meijer says. ‘If they’re willing to come after you inside the US Capitol, what will they do when you’re at home with your kids?’” Trump’s mass pardoning of January 6 participants has recentered those events in Republican minds of late.
Gabriel Sherman wrote a solid column in Vanity Fair on how the threat of political violence from far-right MAGA cultists serve to keep Republicans onside in enacting the dangerous Trump agenda.

It’s been 17 years since tainted blood thinner from China injured or killed hundreds of people in the United States, and since then, contaminants and other defects have appeared in a cross section of America’s generic drugs.
To understand how risky drugs could end up in our medicine cabinets, ProPublica spent more than a year investigating the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s oversight of foreign factories accused of violating critical quality standards. Reporters focused largely on factories in India, a key supplier of the world’s generic drugs.
The investigation exposed how the FDA, without warning the public, allowed more than 150 drugs or their ingredients into the United States over the past dozen years even though they were made at factories banned from shipping products here. The agency did not routinely test the drugs as they were circulating in the United States or actively track whether consumers had been harmed.
The FDA and several former agency officials told ProPublica they believed the medications that were exempted from import bans were safe. They said the agency required generic drugmakers to conduct additional quality checks before the drugs were sent to the United States, including extra drug-safety testing and bringing on third-party consultants to verify the results.
To conduct its analysis, Propublica used Redica Systems, a quality and regulatory intelligence company with a vast collection of agency documents, as well as the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine, to find hundreds of “import alert” lists published by the FDA over more than 15 years. The lists identified factories barred from shipping drugs to the United States because the FDA found manufacturing violations.
In examining those lists, reporters discovered references to drugs or raw ingredients that the FDA had excluded from the bans. The exemptions were mentioned with almost no explanation, scattered throughout the often lengthy alerts.
Because the FDA does not keep a comprehensive list of drugs that have been exempted from bans over the years, ProPublica had to build one. Reporters employed two distinct methods to do this. First, ProPublica wrote code that used keyword search and pattern matching to pull drug names and manufacturing locations from the FDA alerts. Second, ProPublica used artificial intelligence to extract the same information. Results from each analysis were cross-checked, and reporters verified each of the results.
In finalizing its analysis, ProPublica counted all drugs that were exempted from each banned factory. Sometimes, the same drug was exempted from multiple factories and was added to each factory’s total. In a handful of cases, the FDA exempted different formulations of the same drug, such as a tablet, capsule or injectable. ProPublica counted those different forms as distinct drugs.
ProPublica’s list of drugs exempted from import bans could be an undercount; there is no way to know for sure without a full accounting from the FDA.

So here’s a fun lesson for the Tag Police in this fandom. This is relevant to both sides by the way, because I’ve seen policing from both.
Using any tag that is relevant to your post is not breaking the rules.
Maybe there are unwritten, don’t-need-to-be-said rules, some Tumblr etiquette bloggers who have been here a while have decided is the way it should be, but please remember many Luke-Nicola-Bridgerton related blogs are newer and came here to escape the vitriol and toxicity of other platforms.
I’m sad to say from what I’ve seen, Tumblr is no exception to that crap. And believe me, the few nasty messages I got yesterday are nothing compared to what some in the fandom have received.
But I digress.
Despite any unwritten rules, there are actual rules. The only place tags appear in Tumblr Terms of Service is in the spam section and it clearly states meaningful tags are welcome.
What is not welcome is using tags that have nothing to do with your post.
Here is the full spam section directly from the TOS (fun fact - it is the ONLY place in the TOS that tags are mentioned):
*Spam. Don't spam people. Don't make spammy posts, don't post spammy replies, don't send people spammy messages. Be a regular human.
Don't put tags on your posts that will mislead or deceive searchers. For example, don't tag a photo of your cat with "doctor who" unless the name of your cat is actually Doctor Who, and don't overload your posts with #barely #relevant #tags. Of course, meaningful uses of tags are always fine (for example, ironic "punchline" tags that add meaning or context to a post).
Don't put dubious code in your posts, like using JavaScript to cause redirects or inject unwanted ads in blogs. Don't use deceptive means to generate revenue or traffic, or create blogs with the primary purpose of affiliate marketing. Spam doesn't belong on Tumblr.
https://www.tumblr.com/policy/en/user-guidelines
Using tags relevant to your posts is not a reportable offense. If you don’t like content, please scroll by. Stop yourself from sending nasty messages or leaving nasty comments. Find the content that makes you happy and ignore the posts that don’t.
We are all here for the same reason - to love and support our faves, and supporting them might look different for many of us.
So there you have it. Now…

While this Frankenstein-style injection is being marketed as a tool to stop future pandemics, the virus at the center of it all is influenza—the same virus the U.S. government has spent years manipulating through gain-of-function research and now claims is on the verge of causing the next global outbreak.
“Since 2015, most clinical work on universal vaccines has focused on the flu,” the GAO states in its May 2025 Science & Tech Spotlight report. “Multiple universal vaccine candidates targeting the flu… have reached clinical trials.”
This aligns with what we’ve already exposed: Federal agencies have been conducting bird flu gain-of-function experiments for over a decade, pushing mRNA and DNA vaccines for poultry, and stockpiling antiviral contracts—all while whispering warnings about H5N1 jumping to humans.
The Trump administration recently announced the development of a $500 million “next-generation, universal vaccine platform” called ‘Generation Gold Standard’ that will focus on avian influenza “bird flu” jab creation.
Led by Obama-nominated Comptroller General Gene Dodaro, GAO is now confirming another next step in that orchestrated rollout: a universal flu vaccine that doesn’t just target one strain—but uses recombined fragments from many strains at once.

SpaceTime -- A brief history
SpaceTime is Australia’s most popular and respected astronomy and space science news program – averaging over two million downloads every year. We’re also number five in the United States.  The show reports on the latest stories and discoveries making news in astronomy, space flight, and science.  SpaceTime features weekly interviews with leading Australian scientists about their research.  The show began life in 1995 as ‘StarStuff’ on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s (ABC) NewsRadio network.  Award winning investigative reporter Stuart Gary created the program during more than fifteen years as NewsRadio’s evening anchor and Science Editor.  Gary’s always loved science. He studied astronomy at university and was invited to undertake a PHD in astrophysics, but instead focused on his career in journalism and radio broadcasting. Gary’s radio career stretches back some 34 years including 26 at the ABC. He worked as an announcer and music DJ in commercial radio, before becoming a journalist and eventually joining ABC News and Current Affairs. He was part of the team that set up ABC NewsRadio and became one of its first on air presenters. When asked to put his science background to use, Gary developed StarStuff which he wrote, produced and hosted, consistently achieving 9 per cent of the national Australian radio audience based on the ABC’s Nielsen ratings survey figures for the five major Australian metro markets: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth.  The StarStuff podcast was published on line by ABC Science -- achieving over 1.3 million downloads annually.  However, after some 20 years, the show finally wrapped up in December 2015 following ABC funding cuts, and a redirection of available finances to increase sports and horse racing coverage.  Rather than continue with the ABC, Gary resigned so that he could keep the show going independently.  StarStuff was rebranded as “SpaceTime”, with the first episode being broadcast in February 2016.  Over the years, SpaceTime has grown, more than doubling its former ABC audience numbers and expanding to include new segments such as the Science Report -- which provides a wrap of general science news, weekly skeptical science features, special reports looking at the latest computer and technology news, and Skywatch – which provides a monthly guide to the night skies. The show is published three times weekly (every Monday, Wednesday and Friday) and available from the United States National Science Foundation on Science Zone Radio, and through both i-heart Radio and Tune-In Radio.

Skin Whitening Injections: Are They the Fastest Way to Fairer Skin? Discover the Truth, Benefits & Risks Today!
Introduction: The Rise of Skin Whitening Injections
In today’s image-driven world, having a radiant and even-toned complexion is a goal shared by millions. From social media influencers to high-level professionals, the pressure to maintain flawless skin is higher than ever. One solution gaining immense popularity is skin whitening injections—a revolutionary cosmetic treatment that promises fast, effective, and long-lasting results.
But do they really work? Are they safe? How long before you see visible changes? This blog breaks down the science, answers FAQs, addresses common concerns, and offers expert guidance so you can make an informed decision.
What Are Skin Whitening Injections?
Skin whitening injections are primarily composed of Glutathione, a powerful antioxidant naturally produced in the body. These injections aim to lighten the skin by reducing melanin production—the pigment responsible for dark skin tones. Often combined with Vitamin C or collagen, they’re administered intravenously for faster absorption and more effective results.
How Do Skin Whitening Injections Work?
Glutathione works on a cellular level by inhibiting the enzyme tyrosinase, which is responsible for melanin production. The lower the melanin, the lighter and brighter your skin tone becomes. Injections allow Glutathione to reach the bloodstream directly, bypassing the digestive tract for faster and more concentrated results.
📌 Clinical Insight: Studies show that high-dose Glutathione, when combined with Vitamin C, can reduce skin pigmentation in as little as 4 weeks.
Benefits of Skin Whitening Injections
Quick Results – Visible improvements within 3 to 6 sessions.
Even Skin Tone – Reduces hyperpigmentation, age spots, and dark patches.
Detoxification – Glutathione helps flush out toxins from the liver, promoting overall health.
Anti-Aging Effects – Improves skin elasticity, reduces wrinkles, and boosts collagen.
Boosted Confidence – Achieving the desired skin tone can positively impact self-esteem.
Are Skin Whitening Injections Safe?
When administered under medical supervision, skin whitening injections are generally considered safe. However, not all products in the market are approved or regulated. It’s crucial to:
Ensure the product is FDA-approved or medically certified.
Get injections from a licensed dermatologist or cosmetic professional.
Follow prescribed dosage and avoid self-medication.
⚠️ Important: Excessive or unregulated use of Glutathione can lead to adverse effects such as kidney dysfunction or allergic reactions.
FAQs: What People Are Asking
1. How many sessions are needed to see results? Most individuals see noticeable changes after 6-10 sessions, depending on skin type and dosage.
2. How long do the effects last? Results can last 6-12 months with proper skincare and maintenance sessions.
3. Are there any side effects? Mild side effects like nausea or rash can occur. Severe effects are rare but possible with non-certified products.
4. Who should avoid these injections? Pregnant or breastfeeding women, individuals with chronic diseases, or those allergic to Glutathione should avoid this treatment.
5. Can men use skin whitening injections? Absolutely! This treatment is effective and safe for both men and women.
What Do Experts Say?
Dermatologists emphasize the importance of using skin whitening injections as part of a comprehensive skincare regimen rather than a one-stop solution. They recommend:
Drinking plenty of water
Applying sunscreen daily
Maintaining a balanced diet
Using glutathione-based oral supplements for maintenance
🧪 Stat to Note: A 2022 clinical study reported that 78% of users experienced a visible improvement in skin tone after completing a full injection cycle.
How to Choose the Right Whitening Injection
With a flooded market, choosing the right product is challenging. Here’s what to look for:
Authenticity: Verify brand reputation and read reviews.
Ingredients: Look for a combination of Glutathione + Vitamin C.

Hey there,
I'm not the same person who sent the ask about mistagging posts but I just want to let you know that it's actually against Tumblrs community guidelines seen here
"Spam. Spam doesn't belong on Tumblr."
While your followers probably won't report you for spam, people scrolling through the tags you use will of you tag text posts that have nothing to do with emo and scene core might, and it won't do you any favours in gaining visibility. If you're incorrectly tagging text posts you're more likely to get blocked than gain a follower
What makes you think I care.
I don’t care weather or not someone blocks me ok?
And I’m not on social fucking media to fucking impress a bunch of people over a bullshit excuse tag
If you don’t like me then block me I don’t fucking care I’m not on the internet to be liked by everyone
If you don’t like what I do then just ignore me you don’t get to decide for me how I do things this is probably the reason why nobody really uses tumblr is because people like you care so much and is so sensitive about what others post that you feel like bringing another person down over something completely bullshit
If you care so much about tags and other bullshit then just block me
Nobody is trying to be liked by a bunch of people nor does the world work like that you can’t keep everyone happy no matter what this is a great example of I mean when I say you can’t make everyone happy some people are gonna be upset with what you do in life including in social media
Weather this is true I don’t care it’s a ridiculous rule I’ve ever heard
Telling people to not put tags that they feel appreciated on and that feels “personal” to them right is fucking ridiculous
If people aren’t allowed to put a tag. A tag that’s personal to them then WHATS THE FUCKING POINT IN HAVING TAGS
IN THE FIRST PLACE
wtf is the point in expressing yourself through an app or a site when
Your not allowed to use a tag of a certain name that you consider a sense of belonging or even home
It’s not about the tag itself but the community inside of it
Behind every tag there’s a community inside of it what’s so fucking harmful to use a tag
That you are apart of, like omg I’m not allowed to use a tag that describes what my blog is about and what makes me who I am
all because i posted an opinion omg
Like what’s the point in having tags if your not allowed to put a tag that describes your identity as a person and what makes you who are through your account all because you have an opinion
It’s such a crime to put your identity or your blog idenity in a tag

Ozempic: Dying To Be Thin
I have recently been following a few stories and commentators as they have reported on the side effects of Ozempic. My typical literary niche is mental health, inspiration and motivation for self-development. While I don’t follow the latest trends in any area I had followed the Ozempic one for some reason.
I think the part that interested me the most was many of the people who interviewed were willing to buy the drug on the black market, unverified websites and the like. Don’t read what I’m not writing I think it’s important not to point fingers but to have a holistic view of the Ozempic side effects issue.
As I researched the stories I found most of the cases were in the United States and the UK. In the ever-evolving landscape of healthcare, understanding the implications of medications is paramount. Most people are aware who follow Ozempic know it’s used for type 2 diabetes.
It gained prominence for weight loss in the last few years. I reviewed some history and current lawsuits due to the side effects. I was not aware that the side effects can affect vital organs and cause other unsettling concerns. Some may not be aware that drugs can be researched and more information can be reviewed on the FDA’s website.
Another thing that consumers can do is explore if there are current lawsuits or recalls on drugs before they start taking them. I know most people trust their health care professional but we should do our due diligence as well.
Ozempic, a member of the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist class, plays a pivotal role in regulating blood sugar levels. However, like many pharmaceutical interventions, its therapeutic benefits are accompanied by a spectrum of potential side effects. These side effects vary in intensity and occurrence, impacting individuals in diverse ways.
I’m a therapist, not a physician or a nurse. I have treated many clients who struggle with weight loss or menopausal weight gain. Most of the clients I have served have found it difficult to lose weight as they have gotten older.
I have referred them to their primary care doctor. With that said some people want a quick fix for whatever reason and I can see the frustration and all the concerns that go with trying to lose weight and obtain wellness.
My concern with the latest trend of those on Ozempic is the side effects and the those that may not be informed enough on those who are dying as a result of using Ozempic or the generic form of it.
Commonly reported side effects of Ozempic encompass gastrointestinal disturbances, with nausea and diarrhea being prevalent among users. These effects are often transient, diminishing over time as the body adjusts to the medication. Concurrently, injection site reactions, another common occurrence, may manifest as redness, swelling, or itching.
While these side effects are generally considered mild, their prevalence underscores the importance of patient awareness and proactive management. As I listened to story after story most of the people had other chronic illnesses as well.
Beyond the scope of common side effects lie more serious complications that demand heightened attention. Instances of pancreatitis, though rare, have been associated with the use of Ozempic. Pancreatitis, characterized by inflammation of the pancreas, necessitates immediate medical intervention and underscores the need for vigilant monitoring during Ozempic therapy.
Additionally, concerns have been raised regarding the potential association between Ozempic and thyroid tumors. Though the risk is deemed low, healthcare practitioners and users alike must remain vigilant, emphasizing the importance of regular health check-ups and communication between patients and their healthcare providers.
It is essential to recognize the symbiotic relationship between healthcare education and the communication of potential side effects. In the digital age, individuals often turn to search engines for health-related information.
I will say most of what I found were researchers on YouTube and science journals that are talking about the side effects of Ozempic a little more now. Thus, effective communication becomes a conduit for informed decision-making. Utilizing search engine optimization (SEO) strategies ensures that information about Ozempic’s side effects is readily accessible to those seeking it.
I’m a news buff and enjoy all things science and this story was disturbing because people were and are dying from one thing but the root cause was from taking Ozempic. I hope people will do their due diligence so not one more person has to die to be thin.
For those who may be interested in strategic keyword integration, such as “Ozempic side effects” or “Ozempic complications,” the dissemination of valuable information becomes more efficient and widespread.
Thank you for reading
Be Well!

Sp@m terf tags on June 1st!
@anti-terf-posts came up with the idea to make the radfem/terf tags unusable by spamming them with whatever you want.
Shitpost, trans positivity, fandom, art, do whatever the hell you want! The goal is to make it impossible for terfs to use them without seeing unrelated posts.
WE CAN DO THIS <33333333 FUCK TERFS

When tensions flare in the contested South China Sea, age-old territorial feuds or military drills are typically to blame—not American popstars known for their blond tresses and affinity for cats.
Yet Taylor Swift found herself at the center of a heated regional spat in February, when Singapore was accused of secretly paying Swift’s team up to $18 million to ensure the island was the sole stop in the Southeast Asia leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour. Singapore’s confirmation of having made a payment of an undisclosed amount intensified the backlash, with one peeved Filipino lawmaker accusing the island of operating by “the law of the jungle.”
Singapore wasn’t too worried. Hosting the extravaganza may have caused some bad blood, but it is estimated to have injected between $260 million and $375 million into the country’s economy, as more than 300,000 fans descended on the island for the tour. And that’s just a fraction of the more than 10 million people worldwide who turned out in force to shake it off with Swift during her marathon tour (including, admittedly, this Foreign Policy reporter).
Those are just some of the staggering figures that have emerged from Swift’s Eras Tour, which wrapped in December after a nearly two-year run. Before Eras, for example, no tour had passed the billion-dollar mark in ticket sales; Swift shattered that record, raking in $2.2 billion in gross earnings.
Yet that number doesn’t even begin to account for all of the revenue generated beyond concert ticket sales. In September 2023, the U.S. Travel Association estimated the tour’s total economic impact at the time had surpassed some $10 billion—and that was just five months in.
“If she were her own economy, she would be bigger than 50 or so of the poorest nations in the world,” said Adam Gustafson, a professor of music at Penn State Harrisburg, who likened Swift’s influence to a “massive gravitational pull.”
Swift may have humble origins in West Reading, Pennsylvania, but the Eras Tour has laid bare just how powerful her gravitational pull has become.
She has drawn in powerful world leaders, including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who attended her show in Toronto, and Chilean President Gabriel Boric, a known Swiftie who once leapt to her defense on Twitter, tenderly sending “hugs from the south.” Her tour has captured the attention of the Bank of England and the U.S. Federal Reserve. And the force of her fandom has, quite literally, shaken the world, with the dancing at her concerts in Edinburgh and Seattle generating enough of a seismic shock that scientists took notice.
“I don’t think we’ll ever see anything like it again, and I don’t think we’ve seen anything like it before,” said Ryan Herzog, an economics professor at Gonzaga University who partnered with New York Times columnist and economics professor Paul Krugman to develop a class on “Swiftonomics.”
You don’t have to be a devout Swiftie to have felt the economic reverberations of the popstar’s marathon tour, which extended into the far reaches of the global economy over its nearly two-year run.
The numbers alone are eye-popping: $2.07 billion in ticket sales, 10,168,008 attendees, 149 shows, 51 cities, 21 countries, five continents.
Beyond the gold rush in ticket sales, the Eras Tour pumped up hotel revenue; drove up demand for flights—prompting Southwest Airlines to add new flights to “help Swifties get to and from her concerts,” per a company statement; and spiked retail and restaurant spending. The bead market also boomed: Michaels, a retailer known for its arts and crafts supplies, reported that its sales for bracelet materials surged, popularized by the beaded friendship bracelets that have become a trademark of the Eras Tour.
“The magnitude of her impact was large everywhere she went,” said Herzog.
The last time that Swift toured was in 2018, after she released Reputation, a defiant album defined by its slithering snakes and angsty feuds. (Remember “Look What You Made Me Do”?) Reputation spanned 53 shows and 7 countries, but even that feels small compared with the colossal Eras Tour.
In an evolving music industry now dominated by streaming giants, such as Spotify or Apple Music—which give artists only a sliver of profits—experts said touring can be a key source of income for many musicians.
“Artists really don’t get a lot of money from streaming; that is why they’re putting on these big shows,” said Kara Reynolds, an economist at American University who teaches a class on Swiftonomics. “All the money now in the music industry is really in touring.”
But for almost five years, Swift took a break from touring. Rather than hitting the road, particularly when much of the world shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic, Swift churned out four new albums: Lover (2019), folklore (2020), evermore (2020), and Midnights (2022). Her most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department (2024), was released during the Eras Tour.
Some of the Taylormania can be traced back to the isolation of the pandemic and pent up demand for Swift’s new music. “The timing after COVID just was impeccable,” said Herzog, who said that there was a “perfect recipe” of factors. “The fact that she hadn’t toured enabled her to put on a show unlike anything anyone had experienced.”
Yet all recipes, no matter how perfect, need capable hands. With some two decades of experience under Swift’s belt, economists and seasoned watchers described her as a savvy businesswoman and marketing whiz, one who has leveraged social media to her advantage and strategically made bold, even unusual, professional decisions to directly connect with fans and establish her empire.
Dani Winchester, co-host of the Swift-focused Taylearning podcast, likened Swift to a “two-headed dragon.” “One head is her immense talent, her unparalleled pen, and just what an incredible musician and artist she is,” she said. “The other head is this absolutely insane businesswoman.”
Take, for example, Swift’s decision to rerecord her older albums, allowing her to rerelease her music under her ownership, as Taylor’s Version. There’s all of the Easter eggs that she has planted in music videos, social media posts, and interviews, offering clues and veiled messages to her legions of fans. There’s the nearly three-hour Eras Tour movie she released last October, and the hardcover tour book that she dropped in November. It’s also hard to forget her feud with Ticketmaster, which ultimately helped pave the way for a Justice Department lawsuit against the company and its parent firm, Live Nation Entertainment.
And then there’s the career-spanning Eras Tour, which by some estimates is set to funnel some $4.1 billion directly into Swift’s pocket.
For Gustafson, the Penn State Harrisburg professor, understanding Swift’s economic impact starts with seeing her as Swift Inc. When you start “thinking about her as a financial engine rather than as this artist,” he said, “you start realizing that the hundreds and hundreds of people below her, they’re all kind of at work to make this cultural product happen.”
The sun had yet to rise when Megan Wysocki clambered out of bed and rushed over to her local Target store in New Jersey. A student at American University, Wysocki is decidedly not a morning person, she told Foreign Policy—but this was something even she couldn’t miss.
She wasn’t alone. When Wysocki arrived at Target in the early hours of Nov. 29, a line had formed of people who were there for the same reason: snagging Swift’s self-published Eras Tour Book, a 256-page tome packed with more than 500 glossy images of Swift as well as her reflections. Swift released the book exclusively through the retailer on Black Friday, prompting eager fans to turn to Reddit to mastermind plans to secure a copy.
“Will people camp out? What time should I arrive?!” one Swiftie asked. “Obviously no one here can answer that question but I was curious if anyone had a game plan yet.”
Wysocki, for her part, appeared to be bracing for chaos. “Prior to going, I was fully expecting, like, it’s going to be unorganized … there’s going to be a stampede, I’m going to have to fight someone for this book,” she said, laughing. It was, mercifully, a fairly seamless process—no brawls necessary—and by the time she left the store at around 6:45 am, she said there were only two or three books left.
“I think if Bill Gates went and wrote a book, people would not be lining up at Target at 5:30 in the morning,” she added.
Wysocki’s purchase of the Eras Tour Book was just one of 814,000 print copy sales of the volume over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Those sales smashed yet another record for Swift: the biggest total first week print sales of 2024.
To see the Eras Tour in the United States, some fans paid steep prices, shelling out thousands on resold concert tickets alone. Others travelled abroad to Europe, where a stricter regulatory environment helped ensure that ticket prices were some 87 percent cheaper than they were in the United States. In Paris, for example, more than a quarter of tickets sold for Swift’s shows in the city were snapped up by Americans.
Others tuned in online. At every show, tens of thousands of fans unable to attend in person would watch unofficial fan-organized livestreams, complete with shaky video footage, frenzied live chats, and even engagement proposals. It’s euphoric. It’s electric. It’s adoring. It’s Swiftiedom.
“Her fan base, I think, genuinely feels that she’s authentic, that they’re seeing a real her,” said Gustafson. “That sort of feeling of authenticity, and attachment to it, is really something that I think just draws fans in—that they’re not just consuming the movement; they’re actually a part of it with her.”
Whether you’re pining for a stranger who doesn’t know you exist, reeling from crushing heartbreak, experiencing the thrill and agony of a new crush, spiraling in self-doubt, recovering from professional setback, or reveling in a tender friendship, fans say, Taylor Swift has a song for you.
“She has mastered the art of autofiction and of taking stories that have happened to her—no matter how small—and turning them into these moments, through her songs, that we can relate to, that we can listen to, and experience, and grow with her,” said Winchester.
It’s a bond that spans generations. “When [I was] a young teenager, I found that my feelings weren’t taken as seriously … because, you know, I don’t even take my feelings as a 15-year-old as seriously as 15-year-old me would like,” said Olivia Kotarski, who co-hosts the Taylearning podcast with Winchester. “But Taylor Swift took them seriously when I was 15,” she said.
After the whirlwind of the Eras Tour, what’s next for Swift? Spending the holidays with beau Travis Kelce, for one. Professionally, Swift is sure to keep writing songs, and there are two more album rerecordings in the pipeline, said Stephanie Burt, a professor at Harvard University who taught a course called “Taylor Swift and Her World” and is writing a book on the popstar.
Beyond that, it’s anyone’s guess. But Burt is excited.
“We have no idea,” she said. “I just feel like it’s going to be awesome.”
