I've wondered for a while what I'd be if I was a Digimon, so I came up with a little evolution line for me :) I'd be just. Regular Digimon with glasses.

Dorumon > Dorugamon > Gigadramon > ??? I haven't decided on the last one yet haha

Obscura #3: Digimon World 1

Digimon world 1 is a game I have a massive love for, and the content within it is janky but lovable. But, despite the cast of Digimon you can obtain, there's actually a few cut digimon!

Digimon world 1 is a game I have a massive love for, being a game I actually own and have beaten a couple of times. Digimon world 1 is a game that lets you raise your own Digimon. You must train your digimon, care for it properly, and explore the world and recruit people to your town! They help in a variety of ways, from item storages, hospitals, diners, an arena, all helping make the world easier to traverse!

There's a rather small selection of Digimon to obtain through evolutions, this here being the screen showing you all the digimon that exist within the game (after digivolving into them, of course.)

However, did you know within the gamefiles, there's some extra digimon not implemented in the game? They are, MetalEtemon, Gigadramon, and Panjyamon (Or IceLeomon).

However, two extra digimon exist with no models, those two would be Kaminarimon, and WereGarurumon! (I had no idea what Kaminarimon was and had to look them up for the sake of providing an image. They've not made any appearances at all, so it's surprising they were even thought to be in this game!)

All of these digimon have digivolution items as well! Meaning these were all cut rather late in development. These items are the MetalBanana, Noble Mane, Giga Hand, Electro Ring, and Moon Mirror.

That being said, to those wondering why WereGarurumon was cut and not prioritized to be put in, this game came out before the Anime! An interesting extra tidbit, is the english voice actor for Mameo is Mona Marshall, also voices Izzy from that anime!

With a name like "Brainless Etemon", there was bound to be digimon content

Anyways, this is Mugie, A partner digimon for a story I'm building

Mugie is a malfunctioning gigadramon unit of the Crack Team's army. Instead of being vicious and destructive, he ended up being timid and meek. Deemed a failure, Mugie flees for his life as the Crack Team threatens to slaughter him to scavenge his mechanical parts (story extension): One of these attempts in the Crack Team taking Mugie's life is where the latter comes into contact with a human wandering the digital world looking for a way home. While the human and Mugie were scared of each other for a moment, it wasn't long until they realized they each don't mean harm

Before Mugie and the human were about to introduce each other, a Crack Team digimon managed to locate Mugie and tried to attack him, not caring about the nearby human. Not wanting a bystander to be killed for something he isn't involved in, Mugie grabs the human and flies to the distance as fast as physically possible

After a while, Mugie manages to shake off the Crack Team unit in an abandoned scrap yard, this is when Mugie and the human managed to talk to one another and get to know their stories. The human, now appreciating the Gigadramon's company, decides to give him his current name in reference to infinite possibilities. It was at this moment when an unlikely friendship was formed and the start of a series of events that will change lives forever

Little dumb thing, but I've been brewing this character for my novel series that is basically 'a demon who did so many good deeds that he became an angel, and now he is a hero who fights for peace and befriends humans and humans who have become angels'.

And with Digimon Next Order, I've been going in cycles of OCs being rep by different Digimon. And I now have a digivolution line that is 'Tiny devil -> Big devil -> Giant Robot Demon -> HERO'! And I'm just nerding out.

Tamers partner swap because why not right?

- Takato and Impmon

- I know it’s been done before but I really like this idea of Takato having an edgy bastard as a partner and trying to make him less of a jerk.

-I imagine Impmon just running away at first before Takato saves him from Rika at that’s when he sees the benefit of having a partner so he’s like “find I guess we can make this work.”

-Perhaps maybe in this au rather then drawing Guilmon, he instead draws devimon so Impmon then digivolves into devimon.

-As for the ultimate and mega, Skullsatamon is the ultimate and then the mega will be crainiumon so he can have a royal knight as a mega, for our dark evo we could use Beelzemon but I like using daemon beast mode instead, it’s a demon (like Beelzemon), an adventure reference, and it’s the demon lord of wrath pacifically which fits for how Takato felt at the moment.

Henry and Monodramon

- Monodramon are known to have quite the desire of brawling and since Cyberdramon was rather uncontrollable it would work with Henry’s arc decently. I also just think about how Monodramon would be in a tea party with Susie.

- For his personality, I could see him being like an over protective guard dog that wants to fight but Henry unfortunately has him on a leash.

-For evolution line changes, I think it would be neat if his champion

- For evolution line changes I like Monodramon-> Airdramon -> Gigadramon -> Machinedramon, Airdramon are known to be uncontrollable like cyberdramon is so I could definitely see it going on a rampage like Gargomon did. Gigadramon works as it’s mechanical like Gargomon and Rapidmon and both has missile launchers for hands. And finally Machinedramon as they both share the trait of giant war machine and to reference monodramon’s connection to millenniumon.

-Tho admittedly Machinedramon isn’t that great of a biomerge, so if you don’t like Machinedramon, I think Darkdramon could be a suitable replacement.

Rika and Lopmon

- Ok I’m going to be one hundred percent honest with you, the main reason Rika has Lopmon is because I want to see Rika with a Dianamon and Lopmon served as the easiest connection to it. Tho it could also be a reference to how Varjamon tried to make Renamon join the devas, so it kinda works I guess?

- That aside I think it would be hilarious that Rika asks for the strongest digimon and she gets a plush rabbit instead.

- As Lopmon is going to stay a deva, Here maybe they try to manipulate Rika into making them stronger so she can try to rejoin the devas again but then growing to care for her at the same time.

- Tho we don’t really have much change in the evolution line aside from Dianamon, we at the very least get to see turureimon more so that’s cool.

Ryo and Terriermon

- Yeah, You knew this would be coming right? If Rika was going to have Lopmon, Ryo of course had to get Terriermon

- I could so imagine Rika’s reaction to his digimon’s rookie form and be like, “Why does he have the same one as mine?!”

- For evolutions It’ll be Terriermon -> Blackgargomon -> Blackrapidmon -> Magnakidmon, I considered avengekidmon but I think magnakidmon fits ryo a lot better in my eyes.

So currently the evolution’s I have right here are

Takato- Kiimon -> Yaamon -> Impmon -> Devimon -> Skullsatamon -> Daemon/Craniummon -> Craniummon x (crimson mode stand in)

Henry- Ketomon -> Hopmon -> Monodramon -> Airdramon -> Gigadramon -> Machinedramon or Darkdramon

Rika- Cocomon -> Kokomon -> Lopmon -> Turureimon -> Antylamon -> Dianamon

Ryo- Zerimon -> Gummimon -> Terriermon -> Blackgargomon -> Blackrapidmon -> Magnakidmon

I swear I'm alive, just very lazy to go on sns :3c I kinda miss tumblr tbh so, aside the queue I've put in my art blog, I might want to interact more but also I'm very lazy to scroll down my dashboard (sorry).

Been binge watching SAND LAND, began Sasakoi anime, rewatching Gintama eps to have a good laugh and of course, replaying Digi Survive and Digi Next Order in which I choose digitamas with good boost status rather than getting my oshis and end up working hard to get my ikemen idiots combi (by their names, guess what digis I'm aiming hehe)

Their evo lines were Gomamon→Seadramon→Gigadramon→Justimon and ToyAgumon→Growlmon(Orange)→BlackMegaloGrowlmon→Beelzebumon so yes, it wasn't planned until I reached Perfect XDDD

Also I swear I'm drawing, just that I'm doing a quite big illust that I must finish asap or I will regret so end up not doing other things.

I did a drawing for this years Dramon Fes alongside Artcetona and it was a lot of fun, he chose Gigadramon and I Megadramon! I'm really happy with the results too, I was able to try a lot of new things I was excited to do in a very long time!

So I've been getting into digimon over the last year and being a life long fan of pokemon my mind naturally went to (if I could have any digimon as my partner who'd I pick) but while thinking of such a thing I naturally came across digimon that I nore anyone else should or even could tame so allow me to regale thee with the 5 Digimon would could never tame

5. Appmon any Appmon

Im sorry but you live in a world where digimon are real and you choose an Appmon then your either dedicated or dumb the only reason you could never raise one of these is cus the roast sessions would be disgusting I'm sorry but if you tell me you have a Raidramon and show up with anything but the blue dog it is on sight I'm talking Kike Aliodas type shit the only reason I could see for anyone raising an Appmon is as an April fools joke telling a random Resercher you found Gaiamon just to show em the the pound land version from the last 3 episodes of Appmon

4. Any and all Humanoid Digimon

Ok so Digimon are at their roots digital pets so they need to be trained washed fed and even taken to the bathroom like normal pets yea no I'm not doing that with Angewomon "now now good sire I a TRUE gentleman would gladly escort a poor Angewomon to the laboratory if she was in need of such help" yea that's great and all but I'm not doing that for Piedmon I know some of are degenerates amd would gladly clean up LadyDevimons poo while she insults you but not me I don't care how cool Gankoomon is or how hot Lilithmon is I am not cleaning up a grown human beings poo

3. Millenniumon

Well well only half way through the list and we have our first solo digimon and uh Millenniumon it's kinda obvious why a God of destruction wouldn't be as good a pet as a Terrier and I know some of you are saying "but I am a level 78 Paladin with a +35 Holy Katana with an A scaling in both Faith and Int as well as a B scaling in Dex so a lowly Millenniumon would be nothing before myself " and that's great for you and your Angewomon but from a pure resources point of view its not happening Millenniumon is made of 2 digimon who are both Chimeric abominations and would require

2 metalgreymon 1 SkullGreymon 1 Greymon 1 Garurumon 1 Kuwagamon 1 Kabuterimon 1 Monochromon 1 Airdramon 1 Angemon 2 MetalMamemon 1 Mega/Gigadramon and an Andromon and I'm not even sure that's all of them it's just to resource intensive and not worth the time

You cannot tame the devil YOU CANNOT TAME THE DEVIL and if your caught with his rookie form you'll look like a nonce

Alphamon

Sure he might be your favourite Digimon and I can respect that the moderator of the Royal knights discord is awesome but he comes with the slight Caveat of Death-Xmon the guys who can only be killed by killing Alphamon and Vice Versa so its kinda a waste of time like sure you got a strong ass Digimon but either the shadow of his existence destroys the world or he dies trying the stop him so yea it's kind of a waste of time to try .....at least Oryuken has a cool sword

I’ve been playing some Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth lately! I like it! Love these little creatures and dudes. Here’s my main guys so far :) I’ve got the evolutions planned out for the main three (Ouryumon, Slayerdramon and Gaiomon ideally, with proooobably Growlmon > Gigadramon > Megidramon for the Growlmon in the back?)

I’ve gotten to the bit after when you defeat the Eater and that blue haired guy runs off and leaves you. Probably gonna spread playing this game out over the next several days so I don’t get too absorbed lol

My best friends forever :) I wish I’d gotten into Digimon as a kid because I would’ve died for these dragon dudes when I was younger (I still would!)

Maybe I’ll get more into Digimon in the future? Might give the anime a try, as well as some more games.

EDIT: Getting into the Ultimate/Perfect levels now! Some of my favourite guys!! I’ve still yet to get a Gigadramon just for now but I got a Megadramon out of Biyomon>Airdramon :)
