I hate this, but I spent my entire day so far on it 😭
Tumblr media
Ignore the way Giyuu looks please, and also ignore the fact that they look the same height even tho Giyuu is taller. I had to shrink his head so it didn’t look weird 😭
I am not very proud of this :(
The pattern for Yuna’s kimono was taken off of google
Now it’s time for a nap bc I’m tired—

What if Giyuu Tomioka was missioned to protect the new hospital for demons - part 1
Tumblr media
Cw : mention of murder, war, slight violence
At the end of the war, the world became a safer place. Still, the Demon Slayer Corps were active.
Many people infected by Muzan have remained demons after his death. Kiriya Ubuyashiki made it mandatory for them to register at a place named the Tamayo Hospital, created to protect and if possible, heal demons. It has three departments : redemption, humanization and reintegration.
The redemption room is kind of an Emergency Room. It welcomes demons in extreme conditions : violent, reluctant, mentally and physically ill ... It's mostly about restraining them to protect the outside world without having to kill them. The headmistress accompanies each demon individually in their first steps at recovery and self-forgiveness.
The humanization hospital, handled by Yushiro, is the biggest one. Once a demon is stable enough, they are sent here to follow a personalized course of treatment based on different drugs created by Tamayo and Yushiro during the war. The goal is to allow them control over their instincts, to get them used to ingesting as small amounts of blood as possible, make them resistant to sunlight and in the best cases, even be human once again."
The reintegration office is under the responsibility of Aoi. When demons are as stable as they can be, they receive a certificate from Master Ubuyashiki recognizing them as recovered demons. It allows them to go back to society and be protected by demon slayers like anyone, unless one day they relapse in which case they have to be brought back to the redemption wing as soon as possible, starting back from the beginning. But the redemption wing's staff will do everything in their power to prevent this from happening by providing jobs, housing, health care, advice and monitoring…
Remaining slayers are hunting down the last demons refusing to cooperate. They also have to protect the hospital, which is highly at risk as the war is still recent and the demons still at the beginning of their healing journey.
"- You called, Master.
- Giyuu. I'm sorry to ask for you in such times, while you are rightfully retired ... but I'm in desperate need of hashiras. I called back Sanemi, but he can't handle all the responsibilities alone. Tengen is helping as well, but he is expecting, I can't ask too much of him. The only one left is ... you.
- Ease your worries, Master. It will always be an honor to serve the Ubuyashiki family. Nonetheless, I'm afraid I won't be of any use.
- You've always been so hard on yourself."
Kiriya offered a soft smile to Giyuu. The slayer didn't insisted any further.
"- As you already know, attacks are multiplying on the Tamayo hospital ... The very few people we sent there are underqualified and alone. Please, Giyuu Tomioka, go to the hospital. Train any volunteer to help ensure the safety of those who turned to us for help."
~
Giyuu arrived in front of the hospital's gate, where a young woman dressed smartly, with black hair tied in a high ponytail with a blue butterfly hair clip was waiting for him.
“- Hoy, Tomioka ! Welcome to Tamayo hospital. I'm so happy you agreed to come and help us !
- I did not agree to anything. I'm just here to visit.
- Good thing I'm here to show you the place, then.”
Aoi started walking towards the enormous building ahead of them, Giyuu followed her. They arrived at an entrance labeled “Kocho”.
“- This is the reintegration office.
- You named it after Shinobu and Kanae.
- You'll soon realize this hospital is just a huge memorial. My wing is named Kocho. The humanization one is named after Tamayo - obviously - Yushiro wouldn't have it any other way. And the redemption room is named Tsutako.”
Giyuu froze. Aoi kept walking.
“- What ?”
Aoi turned around to notice he had stopped. His face was strangely expressive. A mix of surprise and grief.
“- What “what” ?
- It’s named what ?
- Tsutako.”
He stayed silent for a minute, with Aoi starring at him, confused.
An atmosphere so dense, as if someone had died.
“- Do you know why ?"
Aoi started rumbling nerviously.
"- No. Not really. It was someone very important to the headmistress, but she won't tell me anything esle. I think Yushiro knows, thought. Otherwise he wouldn't have allowed it. He really likes her, but not as much as to leave her this kind of creative liberty.”
Before Giyuu could answer, a voice that could have been the one of the most annoyed person in the world snapped him out of his stupor.
"- What are you doing here ? Tomioka Giyuu."
Yushiro, his eyebrows furrowed as usual, was walking casually towards the pair. Why rush ? They were on his domain.
“- We were just visiting.
- This is not a museum. My people need peace. You ... don't really inspire peace.
- Yushi, he's not doing anything wrong.
- You're a soldier, not a nurse. You're free to go to the butterfly mansion if you want to help, but unless there is an emergency, I don't want you in my hospital."
"- Why is it called Tsutako ?"
Yushiro's voice had anxious undertones. He started pacing away. Giyuu could not help but ask.
Yushiro stopped and turned around to look the water hashira in the eyes, defensive. He knows. He knows everything. He may know even more than Giyuu.
Yushiro stood tall, holding Giyuu's disturbes gaze, unfazed.
"- Why should I tell you ?
- Because that is the name of my dead sister.
- Tsss ... How egocentric. Not everything revolves around you, slayer."
Giyuu approached Yushiro, more menacingly then he realized.
"- Cut it. Who is the headmistress of the redemption wing ?"
“- I have seen one too many slayers coming around to rebound with old acquaintances, encounters ending in a fuss. You won't get to do that.
- Is it Michinoko ?
"- I can't. I am here on request of Master Ubuyashiki. Until further notice, I'll command and train your security staff.
- Get. Out."
At this point, they were so close they could start tearing each other in the blink of a second.
- Does that mean you accept the job ?
Yushiro brushed his hair back with a profound sight.
- Not now, Aoi.”
Obviously. Ubuyashiki had to send him. Out of anybody.
"- Then, you should know that your entire legacy as a hashira and as a war hero is going down with you if you hurt anyone here.
- I wasn't planning on it."
Yushiro seemed unconvinced by Giyuu's answer. He finally turned around and started to walk away again.
- Hoy !”
"- Dawn is approaching. Hope you had a good sleep yesterday, because this is the beginning of your first shift as head of security. Good luck. "
Giyuu sighed. He'd, in fact, enrolled in a very precarious mission.
"- Aoi, show him the way.
And just like that, Aoi and Giyuu went in the opposite direction of Yushiro. Rapidly, they end up in one of the gardens in between each wing. In the distance, they could hear music. As they were getting close to what Giyuu guessed as the redemption room, the music got louder and the scene started to appear.
In the grass were sat many people, cross-legged, eyes closed and in front of them, on a slightly raised stage, was a woman dressed in a soft peachy pink kimono with small colorful embroidered flowers on the edges. She was playing biwa and singing a soft lullaby. Her face was partially hidden by her long white hair Her eyes were closed, accompanied by two dots tatooed underneath them.
First, she was stunned. Giyuu could see she was trying to keep a cool and controled demeanor. She signed to one of four young girls dressed in white, standing next to the stage, to come. She stood up, giving her assistant her biwa and left the stage throught the nearest door. The three other younglings rushed after her.
Giyuu witheld his breath at her sight. He feared that if he expired, she would be brushed away by the breeze. He had never see her with her white hair back when they were young. All he could think was how soft and fragile she looked, yet so luminous and charismatic ... Like a godess ...
When he finally let out the air of his lungs, she rose, like a sixth sense, to stare directly at Giyuu.
"- Hello everyone. Please remain calm. I'll take the lead until it is time to go back inside."
And just like that, the little one sat, took the biwa and continued the song.
"- Giyuu. What exactly happened between you and Michinoko."
The hashira didn't knew what to answer.
They entered a very long room which looked as much like an ER as a dormitory with not so many empty beds.
"- Oh ! The switch between night shift and day shift will happen any minute now, we have to go meet them on the first floor."
Without lingering more, Giyuu and Aoi traced back their steps to the nearest entrance of the Redemption wing.
“- Soooo, this is where we receive first time patients. They stay here for as long as needed. When they decide to start the healing program, they get to have a room in the upper floors, when they become dangerous, they go down to the containment facility in the basement. That's all I know ... I don't come here very often."
Slowly, the patients who were sitting in the garden started to peacefully fill up the room. Everyone went back to their bed, quietly, not caring ablut Giyuu nor Aoi. The room had no windows, just two big wooden doors leading to the main entrance, where a few security guards were standing. Giyuu walked right to them. A nurse went and closed the doors behind him.
"- Hey. You are from the day shift ?
- Kind of. I'm Giyuu Tomioka, I will be the head of security from now on.
- Giyuu Tomioka ! As in Giyuu Tomioka, the Water Hashira !
- Yes.
- It's an honor, man !
- Woaaaaaw ...
- War vet ... sick !
- What are you doing down there ? In this creepy rabid asylum …
- Trying to make it a less creepy rabid asylum.
- Ha ! Good luck with that !
- It's time for us to go but there is 2 hours of common training in the afternoon. We'll see you there ?"
Giyuu nodded.
~
The whole day had passed without any new appearances of Michinoko. Without anything special actually. As Kiriya had warned Giyuu, half of his team are incompetent but he already knows how he will manage to make them decent. Apparently, having eliminated the king of demons is enough to have their respect and attention, which is all he needs for now.
The sun was disappearing in the horizon, Giyuu hadn't slept since he arrived. I was getting ready to leave his post.
"- Help ! Please ! Please, help us !"
A small woman, probably around 60, was running toward the main entrance.
"- It's my son ! Please ! Take in my son !"
Before anyone was able to react, an enraged 6 feet tall demon bursted in the courtyard of the Redemption wing. Few humans, probably of his family, were running after him, desperately trying to stop him from harming anyone. He was unhinged. Giyuu and 3 of his students ran to them.
The ex-hashira, with the advantage of surprise, made the demon fall by kicking him in the knees.
"- Grab his arms ! Hold him to the ground ! "
Everyone who was here to help did as told while Giyuu grabbed the demon from behind, holding his katana still in its sheath against his throat.
He wasn't really strong, maybe a bit big but that's it. The real struggle was to handle a demon without killing him. What were they supposed to do now ? Hold on until he calmed down ? He was only more angry now that he was restrained.
Suddenly, the demon stopped growling, and Giyuu distinguished a soothing voice singing behind the sliding doors.
It was her.
Michinoko took the time to pass by every occupied bed, and softly caressed each patient's feet as she was walking through the aisle.
"- Hello, friend. It is such an honor to meet you. I am highly impressed. You managed to get back to your family and let them bring you here. It is proof that your humanity never left you. It is a gift."
The doors opened for her. She walked calmly to the demon facing her, still singing, while his family and other caregivers were holding him still. She finally arrived at their level, and softly put her hand on the cheek of her new resident.
There was silence. The demon stopped resisting. Tears started to flood his eyes. Michinoko took a few steps back as if she already knew the mother was coming to hug him.
"- My son ! Oh, my son ! You're here ! You're finally here !"
As the woman was crying from relief after years of suffering, Michinoko made a sign to the caregivers inside the wing to come and get the demon. The guards let go of him.
"- Miss, what is his name ?
- Subiko !
- All right. We will now take him in. I will allow one person to stay with him.
- Me ! It will be me. It's my baby ...
- Then, up we go."
Michinoko helped the mother to get up, while the caregivers helped the son, and all of them started to walk back into the redemption wing.
Giyuu, still a little shaken up, was just standing there doing nothing. He couldn't bear her coming this close to him and leaving like nothing happened.
"- Michinoko !”
The tall woman stopped and signed to her team to keep up and go inside.
“- I am sorry, Giyuu. I am not ready to talk to you. I don't know when I will be."
She went silent, visibly uncertain.
"- You won't be forced to stay here by anyone, not even your Master, but please ... I am begging you ... teach my people how to protect this place like you did tonight."
Giyuu tried holding her gaze, but caved in. Her eyes used to be a deep dark shade of brown, now they were bright red. They were too heavy in emotions. He had no choice but to distance himself from the situation.
"- I will. Mistress."
A slight smile lit up her face.
"- Go ask Yushiro for appartements in the main tower. He is not allowed to refuse you anything."
~
Giyuu woke up to screams in the room above him. An attack ? In the main tower ? Where only the staff reside ?
Without thinking more, as head of security, Giyuu grabbed his katana before sprinting up the stairs. He easily found the room from which the noises were coming. The door was slightly opened. He peeked inside, Yushiro was standing a few feet from him, looking inside the room while the four little women Giyuu had seen with Michinoko yesterday were around him, all talking at the same time.
"- I am sorry Master, it came out of nowhere !
- She hid it well.
- No patient noticed though.
- She finished healing the new patient, and ran to her room.
- But it was too late for us to calm her down."
Was it the room of Michinoko ?.
"- Arh! Alright ! Michi ! Come here !"
A long distorted scream came from one corner of the room. It was hard to distinguished from where Giyuu stood, but there was someone.
Suddenly, the shadow moved and threw itself on Yushiro, knocking him to the ground. He immediately recognized the long white hair. It was Michinoko. She was in crisis.
Giyuu subconsciously placed his hand on the tang of his katana, but Yushiro rapidly rose on his knees and grabbed his assailant in what seemed to be a very aggressive hug.
"- Hey. Hey. It's okay, Michi. Snap out of it."
She was screaming and fighting his embrace.
"- Kaya, sedative."
One of the little girl nodded and ran to a small cabinet near the bed in which she found the medecine in a syringe. She approached Michinoko without any hesitation and administered it. They all seemed surprisingly used to all this.
The headmistress kept fighting for a bit until she exhausted herself. Then, she started to cry in Yushiro's arms. Her distorted screams became understable sobs.
“- I'm sorry. I'm so sorry …
- Yup. It is a really dumb thing you just did. Pushing yourself into such a crisis ? Come on, we are way past that now, aren't we ?
- Yes, but, you know, ... he ...
- I know, Kyaroru. I know.”
Slowly but surely, Michinoko calmed down. Yushiro stayed with her until she fell asleep. Giyuu couldn't move. He kept staring at the scene until eventually, Yushiro opened the door on him.
“- YOU ! Of course you !”, he loudly whispered
The healer closed the door behind him and grabbed the hashira by the arm, dragging him down the stairs, away from Michinoko's room.
"- You talked to her, didn't you ?
- I ... I'm sorry.
- What do you want from her ? Explanations ? Apologies ?
- No, I …
- I can give this to you. She was turned into a demon and she killed your sister. When she regained her will, she fled and hid herself from everyone until Tamayo found her. She was the second known demon freed from Muzan, and she has helped us with the sick ever since.
- I …
- She forgave herself for the murder of Tsutako. Your sister sacrificed herself to protect you, it was an honorable gesture and made Michi snap out of Muzan's influence. She will forever be grateful to her, and that's was she named her wing after her. What Michi never accepted, what still haunts her to this day is how she could attack you in the first place. You who only ever showed kindness and understanding. How could she attack you and then let everyone think you were a deranged liar for accusing her ?
- It wasn't her fault, she was infected !
- Don't you think she knows that ? If it was that easy, we wouldn't have a whole hospital dedicated to redemption and forgiveness.”
Giyuu starred at nothing, speechless.
“- She will talk to you when she is ready. IF she is ever ready. Until then, I advise you to focus on your mission. You are needed here. And protecting this hospital is also protecting her.”

GILDED LILY | GIYUU TOMIOKA
Tumblr media
synopsis. ━━ Sayuri Kameda never got the chance to experience life as she once dreamed when she was a little girl. As the eldest child, she was forced to take on most of the responsibilities around their home. Upon the untimely death of her mother, she had become the lady of the household, taking on even more of the responsibility, such as caring for her younger sister and their ailing father, whose mind had begun to slip away as the years passed.
Despite the challenges she faces in caring for her younger sister and ailing father, Sayuri is dedicated to her family's well-being. To support them, she ventures into the village during the day and offers her healing services in exchange for money; a talent she had been fortunate enough to learn from her mother before her passing. Meanwhile, at night, the Kameda woman braves the dangers of the forest to gather herbs for her remedies.
One fateful night, while gathering herbs, Sayuri is ambushed by a powerful demon. Overwhelmed and on the brink of death, she is saved by the timely intervention of the Water Hashira, Giyuu Tomioka. Grateful for his rescue, Sayuri finds herself forming an unlikely bond with the Water Pillar, whose cold and stoic exterior begins to falter with the more time they find themselves spending together.
As they bond over their shared experiences and mutual respect for each other's dedication and bravery, their relationship blossoms into a powerful love that transcends their respective roles as healer and demon slayer. Together, they stand united against the forces of darkness, healing and fighting side by side to protect the innocent and uphold justice in a world plagued by demons.

Might be a little suggestive…
Okay but I can’t stop thinking about Seiko and Giyuu at a hot spring.
It’s winter, it’s cold and she just wants to relax. Uzui, kind soul, allows them both to use one of many that he found. It’s a gorgeous secluded little area too. Surrounded on all sides by wisterias, the rocks have naturally eroded to be comfortable seats. It’s a dream really, especially after that trek up this mountain to get here.
They both needed this break.
Giyuu sat between her legs, his arms over her knees as Seiko combed through his hair. Occasionally she would lean down and kiss his forehead. They were in their own little world just happy to be together.
And they are married after all. It’s hard to get much alone time with a child running around. So they enjoyed that time too.
Just down the path from the hotspring was Uzui leading the Hashira (aside from Muichiro, Gyomei and Obanai) up the path. This mountain was special, it housed two hot springs. One for Shinobu and Mitsuri to relax in and the men would take the other further up the path. Uzui was a little ways behind them trying to remember something but, it felt like he was missing something. Something he forgot. Something about the spring… Does he hear…someone in the water?
A scream broke out. All Hashira went on guard as a large rock came flying towards them. It split the tree in half and lodge itself in the mountainside past Shinazugawa’s head. There stood Giyuu a few feet away, half his body out of the water, very pissed, and poor Seiko hurriedly covering herself with her towel. All the men averted their gaze as she hurried back into the water.
After a very tense and awkward pause, Giyuu left with the rest of the men to the hot spring uphill while you stayed with Mitsuri and Shinobu. And you all vowed to never speak of this day again.

Biological!GiYuLo
Disclaimer ⚠️: this is not a ship. It is a family dynamic. It contains Giyuna (Giyuu x Yuna) which is a romantic ship. This portrays Milo(@larz-barz’s oc) as their daughter. Yuna is my oc. These are headcanons and not an actual oneshot. This is the modern KNY AU.
A/N: This is the result of my baby fever, so here you go! 😋 also, this is my first time writing in this format, so sorry if it’s choppy 😭 also there are A LOT, so be prepared—
Tumblr media
My goodness was Milo a cute baby. She had the chubbiest cheeks and her parents couldn’t stop squishing them (gently of course)
She was such a talker too! She’d babble nonstop at anything and everything, even inanimate objects like a wall.
She could be sitting in her high chair or on her dad’s lap and be having full blown conversations with the wall or the plant next to the couch.
She also loved to be carried and held. Like loved
You so much as even make the motion of setting her down, she’d start bawling (she’s just a cutie like that)
It worried Giyuu and Yuna for a bit
But then she went into an independent phase—
She wanted to do everything by herself, despite being so tiny and not having the motor skills to much of anything
I headcanons Milo’s first word was “dada”
And that she said it in just a really adorable way
I actually have the entire scenario of her first word planned out
Like it was a Sunday afternoon and Yuna was in the kitchen making lunch.
Giyuu was laying on his side, playing with Milo (oh my gosh my heart. Giyuu loves babies and you cannot convince me otherwise)
Like he was just wiggling his finger at her and she grabbed it
She was doing her adorable giggle when it just spewed out of her mouth
Giyuu probably froze for a bit then sat up all the way to stare at his wife as if to say “Did you hear that?!”
Yuna would be just staring at him back with a surprised smile and Milo would say it again
But this time it would be because she’s upset Giyuu’s not paying attention to her anymore
JEBDJDGDU FAMILY CUDDLE PILES OHMYGOSH.
Like Yuna and Giyuu would be cuddling like most couples do and Milo would just climb onto the bed with her favorite stuffed animal and plop her fat little toddler belly in the middle
KDHSJCBKSBDH IM MAKING MY BABY FEVER WORSE—
😭
Milo loves both of her parents equally…. But she’s definitely a daddy’s girl
Oh my gosh Giyuu would spoil Milo so bad—
He’d take her out to get ice cream every Friday after kindergarten
And that tradition would carry out until she’s in highschool
She just loves her dad okay 😭
Don’t get me wrong, Milo loves her mom too
They like to paint their nails and do face masks all while watching a movie once a month
(Sorry Giyuu, you’re not invited, it’s mommy-daughter time—)
When Milo first learned how to ride a bike, she fell and scraped her knee
Being a kid, she obviously cries because it hurts
But dad came to the rescue, (this is why she’s a daddy’s girl—) and placed a bandaid and kiss on the boo boo
Being the best dad ever, Giyuu helped his daughter become more confident to get back on the bike
He would walk/jog along side her and be telling her things like “You can do it baby” and “There you go, you’re such a brave girl”
I’m legitimately crying from how cute this is 😭
Milo loves to eat lunch with her dad when they were at school
Sometimes her future boyfriend would come sit with them
Giyuu would definitely be staring any of her male friends because “No one’s good enough for his baby”
Which is completely true but—
This is all I can think of at the moment, but I’ll definitelyprobably make a part two at some point
Tumblr media
(Tagging @mjtheartist04 because I blame her for giving me baby fever 😈)

I was finally able to show some glimpse of Akari and Giyuu's history! I've always had their backstory in mind, but I didn't know how to tell it for so long, until I thought about Giyuu's trauma. He was only 14 years old when he saved Akari, so Sabito was still fresh in his mind at that time. I thought about how that might come into play their dynamic, especially bc her words might have really stung him at that time, Idk just two very traumatized kids! 😭😭
Also even if this was mostly from Giyuu's POV, I wanted to subtly show some of Akari's personality as well. She's a very observant person with how she noticed the state of Giyuu's haori, due to coming from a family of sewists. I also wanted to show a glimpse of her own trauma, or rather how she deals with it.
Akari tends to appreciate all the fleeting moments in between, such as her admiring the sunrise. It's her own way of trying her best not to let her trauma define her. It's both a good and a bad thing, because she tends to wear herself out. This is why Akari slightly envies people who can be more naturally positive, because she wishes she can be more like that.
Hence my idea for this comic, the last slide is basically her affectionately bullying Giyuu into saying her name. 😂 Even if I'm still not fully confident with my storytelling, 😅

Wolf and Flower, Part 3
Giyu x OC
Part 1
In theory, offering your home to a swordsman you've only met once when you were at risk of bleeding out sounded like a heroic dream. In practice, Emiko was finding it the opposite.
Why the hell am I doing this? She thought, hands shaking as she slid the door closed behind them.
She quickly guided him to the spare room, bowing deeply on her way out. Giyu bowed his head politely, and she thought she saw a ghost of a smile cross his lips. As soon as the door separated them, she pushed her hands to her warm cheeks.
He was so handsome. So handsome. And he was in her house.
I have a handsome man in my house and I have no food ready.
Emiko scrambled to prepare something, anything for the swordsman.
---
Plates decorated the low table, dressed with miso soup, sake daikon, and rice. The proportions were quite large, even for him. His stomach growled at the aromas filling the room.
"This is unnecessary, really," Giyu said, sitting across from her.
The white haired woman shook her head. "It's absolutely necessary! It's the least I can do," she looked down at her hands, "If I had died, there would be no one to defend us from the demons."
If she insists. Giyu began to eat silently. Something about that statement didn't settle well with him.
"You're not a Demon Slayer."
"That's correct."
"What makes you believe you can fight demons?"
Emiko's face tightened, offended. "I have no choice. I'll die if I don't."
"You'll die if you do."
"If I'm dead either way, I'd rather go out fighting," she said. Her dark eyes met his gaze and held it.
Sounds like something Tanjiro would say. Giyu remained silent. Ultimately she was the first to break eye contact- It allowed him to really get a good look at her. He had to admit to himself that she was rather pretty. Her white eyelashes brushed her cheeks when she looked down, her round face framed by luminous white hair that was coming loose from its neat bun.
He was much hungrier than he thought. Within minutes the large portions dwindled to empty plates and bowls. Emiko stood to gather the plates.
"Thank you for the meal," Giyu said, bowing his head.
Finally he bid her goodnight with a short nod and retreated back to the spare room. She sighed behind him. Giyu fought the urge to turn and look at her and instead continued on his way.
She was a good host at the very least. Whether that was how she always was with guests or just how she behaved with a Demon Slayer, he had no idea. Emiko seemed to pick up on his silence well, something he quietly appreciated. She seemed to know what he was trying to communicate without the need for him to speak.
---
Purple eyes snapped opened. Emiko shot up out of her sleep, heart pounding.
Scratching.
Something was scratching at the side of the house.
Thumping. Like footsteps bounding down the hall.
Emiko rushed to the door, adrenaline making her hands shake. She pulled the door open.
Giyu stood in the hallway just outside her room. Her gaze fell to his bare back and the muscles that rippled under his skin as he shifted his footing. He gripped his sword in two hands.
"Get behind me," he said.

Hey Kimmie! I don’t know if this counts as an emergency request, and if it doesn’t, that’s perfectly fine, but today I’ve just been feeling really, really, really sad. And also insecure… I keep thinking that my friends are ignoring me (not my friends on tumblr), that I don’t fit in well with the people I know, and that they think low of me because I’m younger than them and haven’t known them as long as others have. I’m just so sad right now, I honestly feel like I might cry right now…
So may I request Giyuu comforting Yuki when she’s feeling down. Perhaps similar circumstances to what I’m facing? Thank you very much, and I’m so sorry if I’m bothering you…
~Outcast~
A/N: you are not bothering me at all ♥️ I’m so sorry I didn’t see this earlier, I was away from my phone. I’m so terribly sorry that it seems like you’re friends are ignoring you :( my inbox and messages are always open if you need someone to listen to you <3 I hope that this helps you feel better. I hope that you wont think these things for forever. And I hope you can realize how important you are to me and everyone here on tumblr. ♥️

Yuki hadn’t come to see Giyuu like she promised she would. They promised to train together today and Yuki was supposed to be here an hour ago. Giyuu had decided that he wouldn’t be waiting any longer and set off for her mansion.
Upon arrival, Giyuu knocked on her door and one of her kakushi opened up.
“May I help you Tomioka-Sama?”
Giyuu stared at the kakushi.
“Where is Yuki.”
The kakushi opened the door all the way and let him step inside.
“I will lead you to her.”
The kakushi was true to his words and lead Giyuu to Yuki’s room. Soft cries could be heard through the door and Giyuu motioned that the kakushi could be dismissed. He waited for the kakushi to be long gone before knocking. The crying stopped immediately as shuffling was heard. Yuki’s shaky voice carried through the door and into Giyuu’s ears.
“C-Come in—!”
Giyuu slid the door open and stared at Yuki who was obviously trying to hide something.
“Giyuu…! What’s the probl—“
“You were late.”
Yuki’s face fell as she thought he was going to berate her… just like everyone else…
“You’re never late.”
“I know, I’m so—“
“What’s wrong.”
“H-Huh?”
Giyuu moved closer and crouched in front of her seat on her bed. He looked up at her with an expression laced with worry. He took her hands in his own and as he spoke, his voice was filled with genuine concern.
“Yuki…. I know something’s wrong… please tell me”
The tears she had so desperately tried to hide welled up in her eyes once more. She let out a few choked sobs before answering.
“I just—! I just feel like… I’m an outcast…. That no one likes me, and that all my friends are just….. pretending…”
Giyuu’s face contorted into an emotion that no one would ever guess he would be able to feel, sympathy.
He reached one hand to cup her cheek and wipe her tears. Yuki was possibly the only person he would ever be this emotional in front of.
“Yuki… I promise that’s not true. You’re friends love you, they only say good things about you when your’e not around. The master loves you, your kakushi love you, I love you. Yuki, no one thinks you’re an outcast. You fit here perfectly and everything would be so odd without you… please don’t talk about yourself like that.”
Yuki was stunned at what he said. She didn’t think she was that important to anyone….
A few tears fell from her face as she jumped into Giyuu’s arms. She cried into his shoulder as she started to realize, she mattered to people. She mattered to him.
“Thank you Giyuu… truly”
Giyuu nodded and she pulled away so their eyes could meet.
“You’re welcome Yuki.”
Training had been long forgotten as the two spent the rest of the day comfoable in each other’s embrace.

A/N: Starry, I want you to know, that all those things Giyuu said to Yuki, is what I would want to say to you. I know this can’t magically make you stop feeling insecure, but I hope that this can push you in the right direction ♥️
