I haven't seen whole Supernatural series, so I don't know if Winchester brothers ever ventured outside of USA to hunt demons but I know Kitaro, despite being mostly active in Japan, had few instances when he aided monsters from foreign countries and went abroad to solve yokai problems outside Japan.

So... Kitaro meeting Sam and Dean is NOT out of the realm of possibility!

BUT! With the reveal of Escape Game that's announced for July 19th 2024, it's the perfect date to line up with the movie!

Story climax, we can see during the fight with Tokisada's Kyokotsu it's full moon 🌕

Full moon believed to have purifying power, it's very fitting to end the story during this time.

I only start paying attention to the moon because of Thailand acrylic standee post I saw from Thai fans. Mizuki and Gegero standee background have different moon phase that hold significant meaning to their character. It's a very beautiful standee too

I think the time gap after village disaster until he saw Kitaro come out of the grave is quite plausible. So this movie Kitaro is born at 30 February 1957 ? Who knows! Remember this is just speculation because the official never confirmed the date, until then we can have nice time being delusional

The moon phase calendar used here is Tokyo moon phase, while the village is clearly not Tokyo. This post talk about the possibility of the village located in Shizuoka prefecture based on train type, bridge and police car.

We visited Shigeru Mizuki's grave in Chofu and it was amazing! Really hard to find, but eventually we found the right graveyard. Kitaro Chaya as a bonus.

You can't convince me otherwise that mister Mizuki, who appears in 10th episode of Netflix's Akuma-Kun, is none other than Kitaro's adoptive father (at least the version of him from 2018!GGGNK anime + 2023!GGGNK movie)!

Wait.....

Wasn't kitaro's mother human? Wouldn't kitaro technically be half human half yokai like nezumi otoko then? Also, in the hakaba series, mizuki was ready to turn kitaro's parents to the humans and kitaro's mom begged him to at least wait until kitaro was born....just like how mana's ancestors begged the yokai/humans to spare them till nanashi was born? Coincidence? I think not. The kitaro storyline hasn't been known to make full sense, but judging by kitaro's and Mana's similar family history plus the special connection they have (with Mana being able to communicate with yokai and enter gegege forest) do you think that the kitamana ship could become canon?
