My Definitive Ranking Of All 21 Confidants in Persona 5 (yep it’s a list you just gotta deal)

Persona 5 has some of the best characters in any game I've ever played. Over the 100 hours spent in the game, a lot of these characters are significantly fleshed out and you feel a genuine bond with them. Some not so much. So, because the world needed it so much, here is my official 100% accurate ranking of all those characters. No debate needed. This is the only ranking you will ever need. Enjoy.

21 Yuuki Mishima

Mishima seems to think that just because he figured out that you were a Phantom Thief that he is entitled a spot in your friend group.No. GET YOUR OWN FRIENDS MISHIMA. There are plenty of characters less interesting than Mishima, but none that annoyed me more. It may be completely unjustified, but I just need him out of my life. More specifically, I need him out of my hotel room in Hawaii. Go home, Mishima. No one wants you here.

20 Toranosuke Yoshida

The main issue that afflicts the majority of the people at the bottom of the list is dullness and being underdeveloped. Yoshida happens to be the former. Maybe it's just because I'm young and ignorant, but when I'm trying to save the world from its inevitable ruin, I'm not really all that interested in a disgraced politician. Call me simple minded.

19 Chihaya Mifune

Now we come to the underdeveloped. Although it must be said that Chihaya could have had an amazing storyline that I just didn't see, as her character was so one note and uninteresting that I became equally uninterested in what was going on with her and I didn't pay a whole lot of attention. So I apologize if I've missed an amazing character, but she should have made a better impression sooner.

18 Shinya Oda

I have little feelings towards Shinya. He's a little higher on the list due to his storyline being a bit sympathetic but there isn't really much to his character other than the fact that he's a kid who's good at a video game. I was invested in making sure that he got fed, but that's about as far as it goes.

17 Munehisa Iwai

I am currently holding a bit of a grudge against Iwai at the minute, as he was the only confidant I didn't manage to max out on my new game plus run, basically meaning I wasted about an extra 70 hours BUT HEY. That's not his fault. He also suffers from side character dullness, but he gets bumped up the list a bit because we had a lot of weird dates together that I'll never forget. What other game allows you to go to the planetarium and an all you can eat buffet with a yakuza member? In Persona 5, even the boring characters have something to offer. Some more than others.

16 Igor

There isn't really much to say about Igor to be honest. Of all the people on this list, he’s the one you have the least opportunity to get to know, but there's just something about him. Maybe it's his nose? Or perhaps the eyebrows? Either way, I like his style and he managed to crawl up a few spaces.

15 Haru Okumura

We arrive at another character who took a little while to grow on me. Originally I thought she was just as boring as Makoto, but at least Haru has some semblance of a personality. She's awfully sweet and her storyline is very sympathetic. She struggles under the weight of her responsibility to run a company, and is conflicted by her arranged marriage to a man she has no interest in. I felt genuinely invested in making sure she was okay and safe, even if her metaverse outfit is a bit dumb. Nobody's perfect.

14 Ichiko Ohya

If you're not familiar with Ohya, just imagine a really incompetent Jessica Jones and you're pretty much there. Meaning, she's drunk all the time. She drinks away the guilt she harbours from losing her best friend on the job, but she still remains a fierce journalist who doesn't crack under pressure and is determined to find out the truth. She just happens to smell like gin while she's doing it.

13 Sae Niijima

Sae is cool in the most normal way that you'll find in Persona 5. She's a prosecutor, working against against all odds to become the top in her field. She may have been working slightly against us in the beginning, but she was a formidable foe; working with an open mind and a level head, she eventually began to believe our stories about our time with the Phantom Thieves. Sae is rad without needing a cool outfit (@Makoto) and we should all be more like her.

12 Makoto Niijima

I'm not even going to apologise. Makoto just barely made it above her much more impressive sister, and the only reason she did is because her whole deal in the metaverse is pretty badass. However, and let me say this loud for you Makoto, just because your persona is a motorcycle, DOES. NOT. MAKE. YOU. THE BOSS. Once she joins your team, every plan comes from her, even though I am the leader of the Phantom Thieves. I have tried really quite hard to understand why everybody loves Makoto so much. I even romanced her on my second playthrough so I could get a different perspective on her. It helped nothing. I really tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, but anywhere outside of the metaverse, she is dull and boring. Number 1 Waifu she is not, I'm afraid.

11 Hifumi Togo

Before Futaba came along, I was all set to romance Hifumi. To be fair I felt she was the best of a bad bunch, but let that not detract from her good qualities. She's a shogi master (or at least she thinks she is), and yet she still struggles with something that a lot of us can identify with: she is desperately trying to live up to her mother's unachievable high expectations. All Hifumi wants is to play shogi, and when she plays shogi, she plays shogi. She's a bit crazy but we love her anyway, and there's no one else I’d rather play shogi in a church with. Now just to figure out what shogi actually is…

10 Morgana

What would a JRPG be without a resident weird humanoid animal thing? Mediocre, that's what. Morgana is an integral part to the whole structure of the game, in more ways than one. Without him, our character would have no idea about how anything works in the Metaverse. Yes, he can be literally the most irritating presence on the planet whenever I'm trying to go out and Morgana is telling me to go to bed (YOU’RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME MORGANA), but deep down I know he's doing it out of love. Sometimes I wish Morgana loved me a little less but hey, you can't pick your family.

9 Goro Akechi

Okay, look. I know what you're thinking. Akechi is a little bit problematic. I know this. But he's just so adorable before all that! That's pretty much that only reason I have for having him so far up the list. His little face in his character profile is just so cute that you can't help but love him. Also the way he yells ‘PERSONAAAAAAGHHHH’ is badass and I can't hear it enough times. I forgive the Ace Detective of all crimes he has committed.

8 Futaba Sakura

A couple of months ago, Futaba would most likely have topped my list. She was the first girl I romanced in Persona 5. I had spent the whole game waiting for someone to come along and sweep me off my (digital) feet. It was beginning to look like I was going to have to settle with Hifumi- and then Futaba came along. She was a hacker and a gamer: my perfect waifu. Her romancing scenes are very sweet and I remained enamoured with her throughout my whole playthrough. After playing new game plus that changed. I went in with the intention of romancing someone different, and boy is Futaba different without those rose tinted glasses on. Her inability to do anything on her own is, while understandable, it's frustrating at best. She's still pretty high on the list though, as I'll never forget our time together, and also she's saved me countless times during combat that she will forever be elevated to God tier in the Metaverse. I owe her a debt I can never repay.

7 Tae Takemi

I won't lie to you. A lot of Takemi’s charm and appeal lies in her character design. The idea of a cool, punk rock doctor who supplies us with our own extreme healing products is great. Even better is that she's got the attitude to match. Confident in her skills but still dating enough to go rogue and have you be her guinea pig for new medicines she's developing, Takemi is a doctor you would want as a friend, but DEFINITELY not treating you. Unless you enjoy drinking mysterious liquids and passing out for hours on end. In which case be my guest.

6 Sadayo Kawakami

Ah, Kawakami. She sure does have it rough. Teacher by day, maid by night, she's a very sympathetic character, although she may not start out that way. At first glance she just seems like your typical extremely incompetent teacher- which she is. However the deeper into her storyline you go, the more you start to understand why she is the way she is. She ends up being quite a sweet person, not to mention her skills enable you to have more of the most important resource in Persona 5: time. Coincidentally, that's the one thing it takes for her to grow on you. Just give her a couple of days, and you'll learn to love her for who she is. A hot mess.

5 Sojiro Sakura

I don't think it’s an overstatement to say that the entire plot of the game would not have happened if not for Sojiro. For some unexplained reason, he agrees take in our main character who has just been put on parole, and it's that act that eventually brings our whole crew together. Even when he discovers that he has a phantom thief right under his roof, he sticks by you and even lets you hold meetings right there in his café. He goes from standoffish jerk to ‘dad we never had’ in a beautiful transformation that is one of the best progressions of a relationship in the game. If it wasn’t for his curious combination of coffee and curry for breakfast every morning, there's no way we could have completed our rehabilitation and saved the world from ruin. Sojiro literally saved the entire world (don't question it he totally did).

4 Ann Takamaki

Of all the characters on this list, Ann is the one that surprised me the most. She's pretty, blonde and a model. In video games, TV, movies; these things tend to be a placeholder for a personality, so really I expected nothing more from Ann: and boy did she prove me wrong. She is kind, loyal and is extremely strong willed. She suffered through sexual harassment at the hands of her teacher, her best friend's attempted suicide, and the her career as a model being sabotaged by a spiteful competitor. Through it all, however, she remains a positive force on the team and one of your characters closest friends from beginning to end. We all deserve someone like Ann in our lives.

3 Yusuke Kitagawa

Yusuke is another character that I love purely because every conversation with him is golden, particularly when leveling up your relationship with him. Throughout his journey to find himself as an artist, I joined him at an art exhibit, a romantic boat ride on a lake, and I posed as our Lord and Savior himself Jesus Christ on the crucifix as a way to inspire the creativity within Yusuke. Some may say that Yusuke’s best quality is his voice, but those people simply can't appreciate what he brings to the table and I simply have no time for them. He is a rare flower and I will defend him at every given opportunity.

2 Caroline and Justine (The Wardens)

Before starting my new game plus playthrough, these girls wouldn't have even been on this list, because I had no idea that they were even confidants until my second time around. The way you level up your confidant ranking with them is by fusing personas with a certain ability, per their request. The only thing I dislike about that is that you don't get to spend as much time with them as I'd like. They are both as entertaining as they are enigmatic, and though it may seem strange to have them so high up, everytime I brought them a new persona, they stole a little bit more of my heart. By force. They demanded I give it to them. But it still counts all the same.

1 Ryuji Sakamoto

I don't care what anyone says, this game would not be half as interesting or funny without Ryuji in it. There are a lot of people who would probably put Ryuji last on this list, due to his loud nature and penchant for yelling in public about how you and all your friends are the Phantom Thieves. But that's all part of his charm! Ryuji owes a lot of his likeability to his voice actor, Max Mittelman, as he somehow manages to be comically over the top while still remaining believable for his character. There are multiple times during the game where you'll have to pick who to hang out with at certain story moments, with the intention really being that you hang out with the girl you're romancing, but every single time I chose Ryuji. Every situation with him is comedy gold. Ryuji will forever be my number 1, and nobody will ever change my mind on that.

Smash Musings - Akira Kurusu

Yup, I’m finally doing a Persona character. But why Akira Kurusu (of Persona 5)? Well, Persona 5 is quickly gaining popularity, for starters. Also, the idea that I had works best aesthetically with Akira and his Persona, Arsene. As for whether or not he can be realized...well, Persona Q2 will be coming to 3DS, and it focuses on the Persona 5 cast. By Sakurai’s rules on third-party guests, that’s enough for at least qualification.

-= Overview =- Akira Kurusu may seem par for the course of any fast lightweight low-damage fighter, but apart from that, he's a whole different ballgame. His Persona, Arsene, can cover a wide area, whether it's with special moves, grabs, or smash attacks. Although Arsene is a bigger target than Akira alone, he can become even stronger when the binds break and he evolves into Satanael!

-= Specialty: Persona Akira is aided by his Persona, Arsene. Moves that use this being are smash attacks, grabs, and three of the special moves (standard, side, down). His attacks generally cover a wider area than Akira's, and he's super-armored for most moves. However, his damage output is about as low as Akira's, and his presence practically increases the size of Akira's hitbox, making him a bigger target.

However, as the match goes on, a meter on Akira's HUD will fill up. When it's filled, just use the standard special to break Arsene's binds and evolve him into the demon lord Satanael for a limited time. In this state, Satanael's smash attacks are even stronger, his grab has more range, and the specials change to even stronger versions. Also, the super-armor threshold improves slightly. Just remember that this mode has a time limit, and when it's done, he'll go back to being Arsene, and you'll need to fill the meter once more.

If Akira is KOed, then don't worry. The meter's content will only be halved instead of emptied. If the Persona was Satanael at the time, then he'll also go back to his Arsene state.

-= Neutral Attack: Forward slash, rising slash, and downward slash. (basic attack) -= Side Attack: Lunging side slash. -= Up Attack: Swings knife upward. -= Down Attack: Quick stab from down low. -= Dash Attack: Sudden sprint slash. -= Side Smash: Arsene/Satanael rushes a fair distance in front of Akira with claws. -= Up Smash: Arsene/Satanael deals an uppercut. -= Down Smash: Arsene/Satanael strikes both ways with his wings.

-= Grab: Arsene/Satanael seizes foe in one hand. -= Pummel: Akira punches foe. -= Front Throw: Akira strikes foe forward. -= Back Throw: Arsene/Satanael flings foe behind. -= Up Throw: Arsene/Satanael swoops up with foe and slams him/her into the ground. -= Down Throw: Akira leaps onto foe's shoulders and strikes him/her down. (based on an Ambush move)

-= Air Neutral: Swings knife around. -= Air Front: Swings knife forth from overhead. -= Air Back: Stabs behind self. -= Air Up: Backflip slash upward. -= Air Down: Stabs straight down. Meteor smash up close.

-= Standard Special (Arsene): Eiga: Casts a burst of darkness a fair distance forward. Tilt at the start to influence its distance from Akira - back to bring it closer, forward to distance it more. -= Side Special (Arsene): Dream Needle: Arsene throws a dart forth. Weak, but inflicts sleep on hit. Can slightly angle it up or down. -= Up Special (Arsene): Thief Move: Quickly dashes in a given direction. Super-armored. -= Down Special (Arsene): Sukunda: Casts a slowing aura around self. The effect is fairly short, but can last longer if the targets have more damage. -= Standard Special (Satanael): Maeigaon: Works the same as Eiga, but is stronger and covers a larger area. -= Side Special (Satanael): Riot Gun: Satanael fires a strong piercing projectile forward. Can slightly angle it up or down. -= Up Special (Satanael): Survival Trick: Much like Thief Move, but shorter and can act after moving. Can do this multiple times in a single session, but each following use of this special will shorten Satanael's duration some. -= Down Special (Satanael): Sinful Shell: Fires a narrow but powerful shot of the Seven Deadly Sins forth. Startup is fairly slow, but is very powerful and has good KO potential. This will revert Satanael back to Arsene immediately. -= Final Smash: All-Out Attack: Futaba's Necronomicon will spotlight foes in front of Akira. Cue cinematic attack on captured foes with Akira, Morgana, Ryuji, and Makoto, finished with them in their flourish poses.

(event in the final battle) - Morgana hops onto his arm, saying "That was great, Joker!" or "Nice work!"

-= Other =- - Straight and forward midair jump have a spin to them, like in the cutscene where Akira jumps through the window at the front of Sae Niijima's Palace. - Crouch is similar to his stance when hiding behind cover. - The meter on Akira's HUD is based on the poll for the Phan-Site (Phantom Thieves Aficionado site). At Persona 5's climax, its poll question is "Do the Phantom Thieves exist?", and when everyone rallies their support to the Phantom Thieves, it fills to 100.0%. This happens to be the catalyst that evolves Arsene into Satanael in the final battle, hence the meter mechanic in this moveset.

Furuhonya: ... WHAT!? I came home early from an expedition to recover some lost scrolls in India so I can finally attend a School Culture Festival only to end up at the WRONG SCHOOL!?

>He notices several people watching him. So, Furuhonya calms himself.

Furuhonya: Right, I came back to attend a School Festival and that’s exactly what I’m going to do. Even if this isn’t Joutou Business High School. Alright, get ready...

>He checks the plaque.

Furuhonya: (puzzled) Shujin Academy? Why does that name sound so familiar? ... Well, never mind. Here I come!

>With that, Furuhonya goes inside. The moment he enters the front doors...

Welcome to the Shujin Academy School Culture Festival!

Furuhonya: (surprised) A- Akechi!?

Furuhonya san!?

Furuhonya: (realizing now) Oh, now I remember! Your friends go to this school.

Crow: That’s right. What brings you here?

Furuhonya: I came back early to attend Yushi’s School Festival. But I guess I went to the wrong one. But I’ve decided, this will have to do.

Oracle: That’s good... I guess.

Furuhonya: By the way, why are you, Yusuke kun and Makoto chan doing here? Don’t you go to Kosei and you graduated?

Fox: Our Culture Festival is in joint with Shujin this year.

Queen: And me, Akechi, and Haru are volunteering to help. And who better to help at the Shujin Festival than the former student council president?

Furuhonya: Very well. Can’t wait to see what’s in store here.

>Furuhonya walks forward... Only to be stopped by Oracle.

Not dressed like that.

Furuhonya: (disappointed) But Antiquary sold it to me. It looks good on, doesn’t it?

Joker: It does. But...

It also makes you look like a demented pervert.

Furuhonya: (sighs in defeat) Fine. I brought my regular clothes, so I’ll go back to the station and change in the bathrooms.

>One quick change later.

Welp, it was fun while it lasted.

Crow: Maybe tomorrow. We have a cosplay contest.

Furuhonya: (happily) Yes. So, what do we have here? Got any recommendations?

Joker: Right now, I guess we can have you go to 2-D’s maid takoyaki booth.

Furuhonya: That sounds great. I wonder what it will be like.

Welcome to Maid Takoyaki. How may I be of service?

Obnoxious Male Student: Wow, Takamaki really is smoking hot in that maid outfit.

Rude Male Student: Yeah. Hey now that Kamoshida isn’t around, think you can hang out with us before you go home for the day? I know I nice little club in Shinjuku we can go to.

Jealous Female Student: Excuse me, I’m your girlfriend and I’m standing right here!

You know, if you’re not going to order anything: LEAVE!

Obnoxious Male Student: Okay, okay, we were just kidding. I’ll have some kimichi.

Jealous Female Student: And we’ll have curry and cheese.

Panther: ...

That’ll be ¥500 each.

Rude Male Student: That’s a rip... (in defeat) Fine.

>With that, the students take their seats. Then, we arrive.

Joker: Hey, Ann.

Panther: Hey, Ren. You guys. Wow, even Bookstore?

Furuhonya: I usually go by Furuhonya, but I guess that makes sense. Hey, where are the others?

Panther: Mona (which we will be calling him even in his human form since Persona 5 Royal) and Mishima are helping at the crafting booth, Haru is helping the gardening club, and Ryuji’s doing something with some other students for an event tomorrow.

Furuhonya: And Ka- I mean, Sumire?

Queen: She’s helping her father so she’ll be running late.

Furuhonya: I see.

Panther: Anyway, what would you like to try?

Heed my advice, don’t eat the Russian Takoyaki.

Furuhonya: Alright. Do you have long green onion?

Panther: We’re all out.

Furuhonya: Tanuki?

Panther: We’ll see. Take a seat.

Furuhonya: No, I dropped them off at the apartments for now. Right now, I’m just glad to be here to attend a School Festival. The last two times didn’t work out so well.

I’m actually here on official royal business. I was invited to be the guest speaker here at Shujin. Since Inhumans have been reappearing in Japan, and made it especially known at the Dream Festival, I thought I would also offer them a place with us in Atyran. Of course, it has to be of their own choice.

Kei: What about me? In case you’ve forgot, I’m also an Inhuman.

Princess Crystal: Well, we were going to ask you, but it looked like you really enjoyed being on Mu Island with all your kaiju.

Violet: Though, I hear some of the sports clubs are doing a Q&A about what it would be like to be part of the upcoming 2020 Olympics. Especially do to the release of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.

Mr. Yoshizawa: I guess we can do that. You know, your old man here could have been in the Olympics. Especially in rugby sevens.

Violet: (laughing a bit) I bet.

Oracle: But if that doesn’t interest you, my class is doing a live performance of an episode of Phoenix Ranger Featherman.

Fox: Actually students from my school and Todai are also doing the same things with Kamen Rider Zi-O.

Queen: They’re doing it in honor of the airing of Kamen Rider Zero-One.

Not sure why you want to watch that. Everyone knows Kamen Riders is just a ripoff.

>Suddenly, a nearby painting opens to show a vault. Harry goes to it... It opens.

>Back in the present...

Skull: Harry?

Harry: (snapping out of his daze) Huh? Sorry. I guess... I guess I’m just tired. I’ve been working non-stop while Doctor Octopus was in Pete’s body. Being both a CEO and a superhero.

Skull: I see that.

Harry: Still, I just have this bad feeling. That’s why I’ve come here. In case something happens and I might do something bad to Pete... I think only you, Akechi, Ren, and the other Phantom Thieves can stop me.

Harry: (smiling a bit) Like I said, there are a lot of expectations in being the head of a corporation. But I haven’t fully given up on Stealth Spider. I’ll take up that suit and use my spider powers again someday. Maybe even soon. Actually, I made one for you, too. I would have given this to you for your birthday or Dream FES, but I got a little preoccupied working on my own.

>Harry give Skull a Hobgoblin 2.0 Suit Costume.

Harry: I really do appreciate you doing this for me. Consider this my payment for what you and the others have to do.

Skull: And if not, I’m sure Peter can help. You’re clearly not a bad guy who will end up like all those others he had to face.

Also had some of a half-demon boy with a sword, a young Chinese man, another young man who lives around here, mostly Ikebukuro, another young man who was trapped in a video game, a strong blonde boy, a young man who can change into a giant, a cat thief, another demon, a red-haired young man, one of the teachers at Shujin, a young man with different colored hair, a boy who can turn into a robot, and, most weird of all... A silver hedgehog. But none of them have ever been a problem and are unrelated to Kaldur’s dream... But I do know someone here in Japan who has dreams that might be related.

Kaldur: Really? Who?

>Suddenly, the phone on the wall rings.

Kei: I guess you’ll find out. (answers phone) Hello? ... Does he have some big guy in a black coat? ... Yup, that’s him. Send him in. Thanks. (hangs up) During the many times I had to move because of my kaiju, I met someone here in Japan. He’s actually the leader of the one the superhero teams here.

Makoto: (a bit excited) Which one?

>Then, there was a knock on the door. Kei goes up and answers it... Two people come in.

Sorry I took so long. My hands were tied with the Culture Festival.

Hiro: (irritated) I know. That’s the stupidest last name I’ve ever heard. And here they say my last name isn’t realistic.

Barbara: But I’m guessing that’s not what disturbs you about the dream.

Hiro: (groaning) It just makes me sick that that hero is such a goodie goodie. I may be a hero, but even I am not above doing things that may not seem right. No matter what.

Makoto: Are you serious?

Bruno: It’s the hardest thing any hero can do. Doing something wrong for the right reasons. No matter what it takes. I know this. (begins looking down)

Makoto: (puts a reassuring hand on Bruno’s shoulder) But now, things are different.

Bruno: (smiles in relief) I know.

Joker: But, why would you think to come to us for this? What do you want us to do about it?

Kaldur: Well, this Wasabi and that Hiro... I think they are in trouble.

What kind of trouble?

Kaldur: I... I do not know.

Hiro: But I think I do.

Kaldur: Then tell us.

Hiro: Well, in their hometown, San Fransokyo, there’s this police chief, Diego Cruz, who’s giving that world’s Big Hero 6 a hard time. Especially since a villain called “Hardlight” is loose in the city.

Skull: So this chief doesn’t like superheroes?

Great, Spider-Man has J. Jonah Jameson, Ben Tennyson has Will Harangue, Young Justice has G. Gordon Godfrey, now Big Hero 6 has this Diego Cruz.

Noir: But at least Chief Cruz has no power in the media. So he can’t fully turn everyone against them.

Kaldur: But it is only a matter of time before he does. I can see that Big Hero 6 has a lot to contribute to their city. They have already done so much and this man seeks to undo it.

Joker: What do you want us to do about it?

Hiro: Well... You’re the Phantom Thieves. Just do what you do best.

You know who we are?

Hiro: Well, considering that I’m in the company of a guy who was put on probation for a crime he didn’t commit, an athlete who lost everything because of an idiot PE teacher, a girl who was being chased by the same teacher, the former apprentice of a disgraced artist, the younger sister of a prosecutor involved in the Phantom Thieves case along with the Detective Prince, the daughter of a scientist involved in the research of psychotic breakdowns and mental shutdowns in which the Phantom Thieves were accused of, the daughter of a CEO who died from a mental shutdown, and a mysterious guy with no last name and just one that sounds like woman’s name, it’s not exactly hard to put it all together.

Makoto: (worried) Are you going to tell on them?

Hiro: No way, I’m part of the Phandom. I support them.

Baymax: If Master Hiro supports them, so do I.

Adi: Well, that’s good to hear.

Hiro: Besides, I think I might need your help, too.

Adi: What do you mean?

Hiro: Our own Wasabi No-Ginger is having dreams of that Wasabi, too. If something happens, even I don’t know what will happen to us.

Crow: So you’re asking us to steal Chief Cruz’s heart so he can leave Big Hero 6 be?

Kaldur: If you can, yes.

Garfield: We’ll even reward you for it.

Joker: With what?

Dick: Well, for starters, we won’t bust you for that poll you brought up in September.

Oracle: You’ll have to speak to Nishima for that.

Dick: But also, we might be able to help to make sure that what happened to Akechi won’t happen to him or anyone else with a connection again. Without anyone losing their memories.

Violet: How did you know about that?

Dick: (smirking) The nurses know everything.

Violet: (shocked) Yikes! ... I wonder if I should be a nurse, too.

Dick: Don’t give up your dream of gymnastics just yet.

Joker: Even if what you say is true, how do you intend to make it so?

Barbara: It’s still a working progress. But we should be able to have it done before spring.

Crow: I hope so. I get this bad feeling that something bad is going to happen when spring comes. Almost... Venomous.

Barbara: Don’t worry, we will.

????: Attention students of Shujin Academy. As most of you do no know, I am your principal. I have been hidden for a while, but now the time has come to reveal myself. I was called in to fill in this position after my predecessor, Keiji Kobayakawa, died. However, I would only have the position for a year since I come from overseas. It was to be a trial to see if someone from another country can safely run a Japanese school. Now, the time has come to see the result.

A Date between the Hermit and the Lover

“Uuuuuugggghhhhh. I’m totally not ready for this.” A loud exasperated sigh escaped Futaba as she flopped down on her bed feeling a bit in pain from a sudden pain attack that was flowing down her nerves and effecting every part of her body. Tonight was a very important night for her, as she had agreed to go on a date with Ann Takamaki and yet now she was just feeling like absolute garbage both physically and emotionally. She just wasn’t sure if she was going to be able to handle this, even if it was just to go to the dessert place in Shibuya. It was only available by reservation though! So that would make Ann really sad.

Looking over at her desk she saw her medicine for the pain attacks and she forced herself up and took two pills from it, washing it down by an energy drink that was by it. Her body was still on pins and needles but her body would hopefully calm down by the time that Ann arrived. In the mean time she decided to get herself looking nice. She was just wearing her casual summer outfit but she did decide to head downstairs to the bathroom and at least take a shower, wear some deodorant and get some perfume sprayed on her that Wakaba bought for her.

Now she was back in her room pacing back and forth, and that’s when he heard Ann’s voice. She was here, oh thank god. And while she was still feeling the pain attack it was starting to subside. So, making sure that she had her phone and a small wallet with some money and ID in it, she headed downstairs and opened the door. “Futaba-chan! You’re looking good tonight!” Ann complemented the young woman with a warm smile on her face before giving a kiss on the cheek that turned Futaba’s cheeks a dark shade of red.

Even just in her casual clothes Ann looked so amazing to Futaba, and the fact was that she was treated well because of that kindness. “So, ready to go? Remember, once we get there we have 40 minutes so please, please don’t be on your phone too much. It was suuuuuuch a hassle getting this thing in the first place.” Ann made sure that Futaba completely understood this. “Alrighty then! Oh I’m so looking forward to this! 40 minutes of having whatever desserts that we want! All on a dessert train! Isn’t that so cool!?”

Yeah, it was pretty cool. She was surprised that it was still open at this time but apparently they were trying a new thing of being open at a later time for the late night crowd, and it was just a temporary thing anyways. So, heading to the place they saw the warm inviting colors, the desserts going around the table as people had stacks of plates up to their head. Ann looked so excited as she told the waiter that they had a reservation and they were told to find a spot. They would sit right in the middle of the table and immediately she grabbed a pie with whipped cream. Futaba would grab a plate with a cake slice on it.

“Mmmm...yum.” Ann quickly ate her pie like there was nothing to it while Futaba was taking her time with her cake slice. “So uh, Futaba, do anything nice today?” She had to ask to break the ice. “I’m so sorry for being so busy lately. Oh and for falling asleep on your bed so suddenly like that. I’m never getting up at 6 am for a shoot ever again.” That definitely made her roll her eyes and sigh exasperatedly. It was good pay but also a pain in the ass. “Not really. Just the usual for me you know? I’m grateful though! It’s better than being attacked and being in the hospital!”

“Ah right, all that. Ugh, I’m sorry for not being there for you Futaba. At least not as much as I should’ve. I’ve finally gotten some more time though so that means I’m going to dedicate myself to you! So to speak anyways.” Taking a cake slice of her own she ate the strawberry. “Man, everything is so extravagant here. I love it.” And then she noticed that Futaba was on her phone and was talking to people on that chat app. “I told you not to be on that phone! Come on, please Futaba if this isn’t interesting for you please just tell me!”

Taking some of the whipped cream off her cake she smeared it against Futaba’s face and that caused her to put down the phone and respond in kind. It was time for a whipped cream! Well, a small one anyways as they were just smearing whipped cream on their faces, laughing amongst themselves as they got it on their noses and cheeks before stopping. “Ahahaha..hehehe, oh that felt good. You...you are alright, right Futaba?” “Yeah! Yeah! I’m fine!”

Was Futaba actually fine, though? “Now I’m just thinking about how bad I’m being at this date! I’m focused too much on my phone, I’m not eating enough, you got this reservation and I’m wasting it! I’m being a horrible girlfriend as well and I know it! I’m definitely only being 3/10 material here! Sometimes I wonder how I even got together with you and I think wow wouldn’t she be better off with Akira and--” She was shut up pretty quickly by a kiss on the lips that sent steam coming out of her ears, metaphorically speaking anyways.

“You know why I decided to be your girlfriend Futaba. Because I’ve had feelings for you for a while now. But I just never knew how to express myself to you. Really. I meant that from the beginning.” She playfully licked off the whipped cream from Futaba’s nose which sent the nerd girl into a tailspin. “Hehehehe. That look on your face is why I love you so much. Plus, you are so smart and intelligent. Look at the way that you can code and hack into things. I’m so stupid in comparison and I know it. And I could just listen to you go on about stuff that you like for hours really. That’s why I love you, silly.”

The nerd girls cheeks couldn’t be any darker red at this point and she was just fidgeting in her seat as she grabbed another dessert plate and started to eat. “T-T-Thank you Ann...you always are so kind and j-just an amazing person you know that? L-L-Look um...” She was stumbling over her words but there was something that desperately needed to be said. “T-There’s something that I want to do with you when you take me home, alright? S-Something that I think should be kept private between us.”

Of course that would make Ann raise an eyebrow in curiosity. “Of course! Anything for you Futaba! I’m up for anything as long as I don’t stay too late!” With that out of the way the two of them were finishing up their desserts, now focused on them entirely. Ann got so many that her plate was super stacked up and there was a second one in mind. Futaba’s was decently high up but nothing as much as Ann’s. Ann paid with her modelling money and the two made their way back to the Sakura household, to Futaba’s room.

Ann was surprised though when the door was locked though and slightly concerned since she wasn’t sure what to expect. This was...definitely a private thing that was for sure. She waited patiently for Futaba to say something and was baffled by what was about to be said. “I-I-I want to make out with you! And for you to touch me! I need for you to touch me. Please...!” Futaba pleaded having a sad look of sheer desperation. She really needed this, huh?

“Um...alright! Are you sure you’re going to be alright with this? And this will definitely be only between the both of us, alright? I don’t need this being leaked out and people jumping over it like hungry sharks.” She lead Futaba over to the bed where they would both sit down and she turned to the side and pulled Futaba up into a kiss. She wasn’t sure if she knew what she was doing really but she was just running on instinct, her hands on Futaba’s sides as she deepened the kiss. It was nice, Futaba’s lips were soft, and there was still a hint of dessert on them.

Per Futaba’s requests, her hands would feel Futaba’s sides and she would let them roam her body a bit, touching the bare skin of Futaba’s arms as they wound up laying down on the bed now. It was a really small bed and they had to adjust themselves a good deal but they got to a comfortable spot as they held their lips against one another’s, letting off pleased noises. Ann stared deeply into her love’s, and it was like she was staring into a whole other world.

She started to pull Futaba’s outfit down just a bit, exposing some more bare skin, letting her hands roam over that. For a moment though she stopped as Futaba was clearly starting to get uncomfortable now. “I’m...I’m going to stop now Futaba, if that’s alright. You’re looking really uncomfortable and--” “No! Don’t stop!” There was some insistence heavy in Futaba’s voice as she said that. “I need this. Please, I need to get over my attack. Pat my head, touch my body, do everything!”

Wow, Futaba really was dealing with a lot. So to calm the girl down Ann would give her a kiss on the forehead and pat that head of hers in a soothing fashion while touching her body with her other hand. “I’ll do this for however long you need it, alright? I get it. I had a hard time accepting this sort of thing after Kamoshida. He...made me feel ashamed of myself. Truly, truly ashamed of myself and I didn’t want to be in this sort of position with anyone. But I trust you.”

She gave Futaba another kiss on the lips and would hold it, exuding love and trust into the kiss as she did what needed to be done. Which was feel and touch Futaba’s body. She needed this to get over her fear since the attack, plus she knew she had ulterior motives hidden anyways. The rest of the time would consist of light touching, Futaba snuggling up against Ann, and the two talking and kissing occasionally. It was really, really nice and she was comfortable. Unfortunately, she would have to leave soon.

“Okay, I have to go now Futaba but... I promise that we will do this again. Anything to help you through what you went through alright? I’m not leaving you high and dry like that again. Ever. You are my girlfriend and I’m going to treat you as such. I love you so much Futaba.” One more kiss on the lips would suffice before getting up and the two would hug before she headed to the door.

“M-Make sure to stay safe out there Ann! D-Don’t let the UFO’s kidnap and probe you!” Ann just sighed at that. “Don’t let hentai become reality Futaba. Anyways, see ya!” And with that she was off. That was a really nice date and cuddle session afterwards. She wanted it again. And would lock her door and cuddle with her UFO before passing out.
