The Bleeding Heart Society is a large, multi-branched organization that specializes in the containment and research of entities called "anomalies."

These anomalies are persons, places, or things that defy logic and the natural laws of the world. Anomalies can come from anywhere in the world, with no plausible source.

The Society was founded in the early 1700s. This was after a group of 6 researchers managed to develop a weapon which took down what is now considered the first anomaly, A1-No.001. However, the amount of power contained within the entity could not simply disappear once its form was destroyed.

This resulted in the entity "shattering" into hundreds of pieces that ended up manifesting as a new group of anomalies. This sparked the founding, as the researchers thought it was their responsiblity now to contain and come to understand these new creatures along with the pre-existing anomalies.

One of the main stories takes place around 300 years later, in the non-specific year of 20XX.

A group of recently-hired individuals are brought to an estate in the middle of seemingly nowhere to train and become full-time employees of the BHS. They are under the supervision of the seemingly alive Heartbleed Estate, and an anomaly who the interns simply nicknamed "Alfred." Most attempts to escape the situation are proven to be futile.

It's up to the group of interns to either obey, or rebel against their employers, and learn what's become of the society after 300 years of corruption.

Danny has an Ice Core.

He isn't aware of it, but this does, in fact, greatly influence how his ghost form looks as he grows up.

His appearance starts getting more rugged, eyes a paler, more piercing green, hair a bit more uncontrollable and wild.

He packs muscle easily, even in human form.

When in ghost form, he has an aura of something patient and dangerous, and that sense only grows the older he gets.

Basically, our boy starts to look like a viking.

No matter how goofy and bumbling he really is, his first impression is always a horrifying moment for whoever is meeting him.

And as his ghost form grows with his human form, he outgrows his hazmat outfit. Frostbite and the Far Frozen fashion him some new clothes-which only compliment and play off of the viking aesthetic he's got going on.

And with the height he inherited from his father?

Our man is a very, very intimidating figure to look at. More so than Dan; because while Dan was dangerous and scary, he was all energy and lightning and rage.

Adult Danny comes across as lethal and terrifying, all ice and persistence and that final, terrible silence before you realize you've already died.

Dan felt like the warrior in front of you. Danny feels like the wilderness in winter, vast and unforgiving.

Anyways, when a summoning for Klarion goes horribly wrong and Danny gets called instead, the Justice League has a moment where they're convinced they've summoned something much, much worse than Klarion.

And Danny, standing there completely confused, is not helping by remaining silent and still while staring John Constantine in the eye.

Good news, the bad guys are also very concerned about the weird ghost viking and are actually moving to stand side by side with the Justice League on this.

Bad news, who the fuck is this guy?

"...Fuck," is all Constantine whispers, backing away slowly.

i just think there are so many valid critiques of public figures, especially when it comes to politics/use of platform for important issues, and ALSO that these critiques can live alongside your admiration of their art or their brand or their personality. the internet really wants to act like if a famous person is not 100% ideologically pure leftist and practicing that constantly then you throw the whole celebrity out, but to me i think if you are looking to pop stars and actors for leadership in geopolitics or economic policy then you seriously need a reality check.

Do you have any clue when/why so many pre unova sitting cuties jumped in price? $17 +shipping is kind of ridiculous for plush as small as they are but less popular plush (registeel for example) stayed the original price I know pokemon is money hungry but I'm just kinda sad now

YEAH it's very absurd to me and i wish i could say there's an actual reason but it 100% is them just being greedy. the way they specifically advertise on the front page "popular sitting cuties restock!!!!" just to see $17 plushies that are literally only 4" tall in some cases is blatant price gouging. i get that popular pokemon will sell out a lot faster and some of their designs are pretty intricate, but there's no reason to jack the prices up THAT much. scrolling down pokemoncenter.com for reviews shaking my head visibly frowning if i'm honest

while we’re on the subject of Greek Myth AUs (my bread and fucking butter), might I suggest a classic Hades and Persephone fusion?

I’m thinking Hades!Ghost and Persephone!Reader (obviously) and Soap would fill the role of Demeter, except instead of being Reader’s parent he’s her betrothed. He was meant to marry her until Ghost kidnapped her and took her to the Underworld, and when Soap finally finds her and sees her chained to Ghost’s throne he realizes no matter what he does Ghost is never going to let her go… so they may as well share her, hm?

Or maybe a Tantalous AU, where Soap decides to kill and serve his wife (Reader) to the gods and Ghost is so furious(because what the fuck) and so intrigued (because what the fuck) that he drags Soap to the Underworld. He puts your shade back in your body and when he sees how stunningly beautiful you are he decides he just has to keep you. And his favorite way to torture the two of you outside of rough fuckings? Dangling freedom right over your heads, just out of reach, so that you never forget that you belong to him forever.

Sorry for the rambling but I LOVE Greek mythology so damn much

hades!soap, persephone!reader, thanatos!ghost. soap brings home his pretty wife, and suddenly that bastard from down the street is always hanging around... (or thanatos!soap who's begging like a puppy bc he works so hard to keep ghost's kingdom full :/)

hephaestus!ghost, ares!soap, aphrodite!reader. reader never met her beast of a husband (she's heard the stories, and he's never made any attempt to see her in person, only sends the occasional handmade gift - every time she shows up to his forge, it's empty, like he knew she was coming) with soap who takes care of the lonely goddess of beauty when her husband won't <3 ghost eventually catching them in a net together, and deciding to go ahead and use the both of them, and seeing what he's been missing out on

deimos & phobos soap and ghost who haunt their favorite human <3 it's just sooo fun to see how spooked she gets when they get near, her fear and panic is sooo delicious

Caroline and I were talking about a phone call she had and we both realized we immediately thought of Buddie, and then she said I should write the sleepy Eddie idea, and so I wrote it. Here's a bit of Sleepy Call:

Answering the call, Eddie buries his face back into the pillow and places the phone against his ear, “‘ello?” “Hey, Eds!” Buck’s voice, as bright as the screen, comes through the speaker, and while the volume on any other person would have Eddie groaning and throwing his phone across the room, Buck’s voice has Eddie’s body relaxing back into his bed. “I was just think—oh shit, it’s early.” “Mm.” “I didn’t wake you, did I?” “Getting there.” Eddie mumbles, his voice muffled by the pillow. “Wha’s up?” “You sure? I can let you go back to sleep.” “Buck. You called. I answered. Speak.”
