Some references/practice drawings, comparing the differences between toothless and hiccup, and Jack and the light fury in dragon form.

hiccup, for example is obviously smaller and more of a brown/red coloration than black/dark grey, his face is also rounder and a little shorter snout-wise.

Jack and light fury got a few different designs, the first being canon appearance, the second being my redesign I am currently tweaking, and the last few being the concept art light fury.

for the light furies, Jack is smaller and skinnier than the light fury, with a slightly more angular face and slightly longer nubs, his colors in the first one are colors selected from a movie screenshot of him.

in the second light fury design, Jack has colors taken from a moonstone, while the light fury’s was taken from a pearl.

the third is based on the concept art, and has the least differences between the two, with Jack just being smaller and having slightly larger “ears” as well as being blue and white. (The color were taken from his hoodie and hair respectively)

the last two were just me playing with colors and patterns, nothing really of note here.

Assigning Httyd dragons the The Chain :D

I know this has been done before but I wanted to see what dragons i would give to the Links. Ngl most of these where assigned by, I just think it'd be neat, Factor. Time: Stormcutter Idk it felt right. Maybe it's because it strikes me as an owlish looking dragon? Time was drawn With an owl in earlier artworks and I just like it. Warriors: Razorwhip or Lightfury I like both Options For Wars. But leaning More Razorwhip ngl. Could also be some lightfury/Razorwhip hybrid if your feeling adventurous :D Twilight: Nightlight Nightfury itself just sounded so perfect to me but Nightlight won with the scale patterns that would be possible. Sky: Skrill L i g h t n i n g Legend: Armorwing. Look me in the eyes and tell me this isn't just perfect. Hoarding tendencies go brrrrrr. Also the whole Making armor to protect it's scaleless skin remind me of Legend's prickly exterior.

Hyrule: Dramillion The way a dramillion can copy a dragons attacks reminded me of Hyrule's spells ig. Also just an overall good fit. Wild: Deadly nadder Even if it's one of the most common dragons I just feel like a deadly nadder fits Wild. Matches his energy ig. Really fast too and it shoots it's spines which i guess could tie into Wild's skill with a bow.

Four: a really weird colored Snappertrapper I will not lie. Mainly choose this for the four heads. I like the idea of a four headed dragon. You could also add in a melanistic Terrible Terror (it's Shadow. I find this idea hilarious) Four just attracts strangely colored dragons. he doesn't even know how at this point. also his house is probably covered by terrible terrors at all times. he fed them once and now they won't leave. Wind: Deathsong It spoke to me. I will not change my mind.

You know what could be fun for Ghosts Are Dragons? How to Train Your Dragon Crossover. 

Like, both seafarers and vikings were incredibly superstitious people, even if we don’t see that a lot in the movie series. 

And Danny well, he might’ve managed to convince Clockwork that you know what? They do deserve a vacation, fuck the Observants, let’s find a world where we don’t have to worry about the GIW and just vibe! 

Now Clockwork, as anyone with eyes can tell, has a soft spot for the little ghost, there are even bets on when he’ll finally bite the bullet and properly adopt the little hatchling. In fact it’s so obvious that several others, Pandora and Frostbite included, borderline kick him out, telling him to yes, do go on a vacation, remember what happened when we all told Pariah to have a vacation and he didn’t? Exactly! 

So there they go, a pair, er a trio, um, alright Clockwork currently has six hatchlings with him. Alright. Okay so he’s never had a vacation before (nevermind with his future vision mostly turned off) and is maybe a hint wrong-footed but that’s fine. It can’t be that hard, and really, he easily dwarfs even the biggest dragons in this world, so what’s going to mess with him, hm? 

Ah.

Perhaps he should remember how idiotic humans are at times.

How to Train Your Mystery Twins AU

So i was casually day dreaming and stumbled upon this idea. I wanted draw something of it basedvon tumblr posts so I won t forget about it.

I haven’t got the full story yet but BASICALLY IT S THIS..

Hiccup gets magically transported in the future to Gravity Falls (details how are still to be determined), and ends up living in the Mystery Shack thanks to the “generosity” of Stan Pines. However, in return, Hiccup has to carry out a simple babysitting job to look after the Mystery Twins during their stay in Gravity Falls for the summer. Who knew a simple babysitting job with a pair of twins is more trouble than its worth …coming from a guy who faces….faced fire breathing dragons ever since he was a baby.

I think on planning drawing comics about this AU or write a fanfic… we’ll see.
