I feel like the whole fandom can agree that Harry Hook would just offend a bunch of the gods. But what he's doing and saying that offends them so much is what's interesting to me-
-----
Harry: So you're the pretty goddess?
Aphrodite: Yes. The goddess of beauty
Harry: Cool. Uma's prettier though.
Aphrodite: :0
-----
Dionysus: *handing Harry a cup of wine*
Harry: Mmm, I prefer rum
Dionysus: :0
------
Harry: So you just shoot lightning bolts out of your hands?
Zeus: It's more than that, but yeah I'm the god of the skies
Harry: Lame
Zeus: :O
------
Poseidon: Nice to meet you, I'm the god of the seas
Harry: *laughing* Nah, the oceans belong to Uma. She's the sea goddess.
Poseidon: :0
-----
Harry: You know what they say, strict parents make sneaky kids
Demeter: Excuse me?
Harry: Strict parents create kids that wanna eat pomegranates is all I'm saying.
Demeter: :0
-----
Cut to Hades laughing hysterically because someone is finally humbling these gods.

my grievances with botw
Breath of the Wild is... undeniably a fantastic game, but it is very genuinely not the kind of game I like, and since I started playing it I’ve been enjoying it less and less so... I have a pair of problems with it that I’d figure I’d go into, as well as some stuff that, while weak in botw, were executed better in past loz games.
(small shoutout to @zeldanamikaze for encouraging this and having some points that i agree with and had some examples that i hadn’t thought about much initially)
Again, Breath of the Wild is an objectively impressive game, and I’m not trying to sit here and convince you that it’s a bad game. I’m just trying to point out things that detracted from my enjoyment of it, especially compared to my enjoyment of other Zelda games.
Before I get into the big stuff, I’ll just shoot off some quick little things that I think could’ve been improved:
- The dungeons generally felt like glorified shrines, and while they had cool mechanics and ways to access them, they were short and more or less pretty simple and all have similar visual and musical identities.
- Side quests and their rewards didn’t feel worth doing half of the time. I barely remember any notable ones off the top of my head and the longer ones just gave mostly generic rewards, which I suppose makes sense considering the limited amount of truly unique items in botw.
- Seeing the same enemies over and over again made the combat feel more like a chore than something to really engage with, not to mention that there is hardly any difficulty scaling beyond just making the enemies more durable.
- The story is fine, but in my experience, even seeing people go into more detail about the meanings of events, I never really cared for the events or the characters presented, since you don’t actually have to directly interact with any of that to play the game. Hell, you don’t even need to interact with the story at all to beat it, so the focus certainly doesn’t feel like it’s on the story.
- It would be a lie to call the soundtrack bad, but it’s sparse usage makes it hard to truly appreciate and the fact that most of it is meant to be more atmospheric generally makes them a bit less interesting to listen to on their own, though I will admit there are some fantastic tracks in botw, usually being some of the boss themes.
- While the Sheikah slate runes are cool, they feel very bland after a while, especially compared to the varied items seen in previous games. They’re good tools for an open world, but not much fun otherwise (the bombs were good though, since they had a variety of uses).
And that’s the quick stuff- again, mostly courtesy of @zeldanamikaze, since these are the examples I’ve seen her mention.
I have two big points that kind of encapsulate why I dislike this game and still adore the older games, that being: the minigames and the items and their relationships to dungeons.
Breath of the Wild is a very different game than what came past it, and I am very aware that it is a vast departure from those other games for a reason. However, this leads me to view it not only simply as a game not up my alley, but also as kind of inferior in some aspect to those previous Zelda games. Breath of the World is first and foremost an open world game, seemingly putting a focus on gameplay enjoyment above all else (not to imply that the ‘else’ is bad because of this, but I do think that the ‘else’ suffers in comparison to other Zelda titles.)
It may also be worth mentioning that the other Zelda games I have played is the following: LoZ NES, Link’s Awakening (Original and Remake), Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, Phantom Hourlgass, Skyward Sword, A Link Between Worlds, and Triforce Heroes. I have also played both hyrule warriors games as well as loz 2, wind waker, and minish cap, none of the latter 3 i have finished or currently have access to.
1: The Minigames
Minigames are common in Zelda games, so of course botw has a few scattered around it’s world. Botw’s minigames are very different than the minigames seen in past Zelda games, mostly due in part to the limited array of items and unique gameplay gimmicks available in botw. Botw’s minigames usually focus on different forms of archery, gliding, or rune usage: all things integral to normal gameplay. At best you get rupees or cosmetic items from most minigames.
Botw’s minigames are just slightly altered situations of normal gameplay. The bowling is just using stasis except this time the game has a special little arena for it. Pretty much all of the archery games are either just counting how many deer you can kill or if you can just hit some targets on horseback. There’s one race I can think of and one gliding activity I can think of.
This makes sense, considering that there are a handful of other non-minigame activities to engage in, but these minigames feel... hollow. None of the minigames feature gameplay exclusive to those minigames or feature gameplay only used in certain parts of the game. They all make use of readily available mechanics in botw, so they’re like tests of skill- but otherwise not really any worth giving a second-thought unless you want to see how good of a glider or archer you are or grab some extra rupees.
But they aren’t very... worth it or generally fun within the context of botw. It’s just another way to do something that is available to you pretty much all game. They don’t feel unique, they just feel like a task.
Previous Zelda games (obviously) have archery minigames and allow you to use archery when you get the bow and from that point onward. And yet the archery minigames are made unique from the rest of the archery in the game; ocarina of time’s archery minigame is simply just shooting at targets, but the possible rewards and the simple fact that not often are you going to be continuously shooting arrows at enemies make it a bit of a novel experience within oot. The minigames in past zelda games take advantage of the items and area-specific mechanics: they usually include item-exclusive mechanics like bombchu games, or take advantage of more specific mechanics, like the minecarts in skyward sword, the masks in majora’s mask, or being able to control gongoron in phantom hourglass.
They also gave genuine rewards- empty bottles, quest items, ship parts, new masks, heart containers or pieces, kinds of stuff that are hard to get and very valuable. They’re worth doing for reasons outside of just a little activity. The minigames in other Zelda games do really enhance the experience by taking advantage of situational mechanics or giving a unique usage for some items.
You can probably get every item in botw without playing all of the minigames. They have little actual purpose. But in other zelda games, they have a purpose in the greater game and provide novel experiences within the game.
2: Items and their relationships with the dungeons
Obviously, compared to past games, botw’s ‘dungeons’ kind of sucked. They’re fine in a vacuum, with interesting gimmicks and the like, but they’re really little more than glorified shrines with four different-but-similar bosses at the end.
In my opinion, one of reasons why the divine beasts just... fell flat compared to other zelda dungeons is the lack of unique items in general. The runes in botw are cool and useful but you get them at the start of the game and never get anything new. You are give every tool you need to beat all of the dungeons the moment you finish the tutorial.
Older zelda games’ dungeons being tied to their respective items is a big part- to me- of what makes those dungeons so good.
Obviously, the theming, musical themes, and larger layouts and more varied puzzles make them objectively better experiences, but the way they interact with item acquisition makes the whole thing even better.
Even in a link between worlds, where you can get every item whenever you want from Ravio, each dungeon is still tied to one of those items, and one of those items is needed to successfully complete that dungeon.
The dungeons in past Zelda games are practically complex tutorials on how you can use your new items. They are where those items shine and they are designed so that those items are used to their fullest potential within. And then you must then use that item to defeat that dungeon’s boss, and you usually have no chance of beating that boss if you don’t make use of the dungeon’s associated item. It’s like a final test for the item, seeing if you know how it works enough to complete the dungeon and use it against a boss’s weaknesses.
The most recent example, and probably one of the best, is needing to use the whip to tear off koloktos’ arms in the ancient cistern, but the classic scenario of the bombs for king dodongo works well enough, and the bosses of majora’s mask requiring you to understand how the transformation masks work. There are definitely some bosses that require no use of dungeon items (moldorm in the tower of hera, either ghirahim fights), but the item’s usage is still showcased prominently in their dungeons.
Outside of the dungeons, too, the progressive acquisition of items makes more areas and secrets available to you, giving a much more palpable sense of progression through those games’ worlds.
In botw, you get every tool the moment you are released into the rest of hyrule, so while figuring out what to do with those tools can be fun, the sense of progression is dampened by having every item from the start and nothing you gain beyond that being needed for anything aside from a nice little ability to make things easier.
I’m not really too sure exactly why I never found botw fun the way everyone else does, but I think lackluster minigames and the general lack of items that aid a sense of progression are parts of it.
#loz#legend of zelda#botw#salty talks#i feel like im swinging at a hornets nest by suggesting that this game isn't perfect#cuz everywhere you look this game is praised incessantly while its like. i think its fine at best tbh#because it's really not to my tastes#i highly prefer the experience that the other loz games provide and botw dropped off for me while i still enjoy those games#like. open world games arent really my thing and a game packed to the gills with just as much shit as possible is a major turn off for me#this was going to have three points but playing totk exhausted me mentally and i dont really care any more. i dont find these games fun#the tutorial islands felt tedious after a bit and like. idk. good game but i have yet to find myself actually having fun with it#it kinda feels like its fun in concept but the fact that it doesnt necessarily feel got to play to me and progress is slow and based on#like. slow exploration? its fine but its not something i actually enjoy. its not teh difficulty bc i like elden ring and hades n stuff#like. i have more fun with ph than totk. idk. playing totk was like. entertaining? but it kinda ust felt hollow to me#granted i just like. unlocked the first tower and did some shrines but like. idk. good game. i don't think i actually like it too much#i really think these two points kind of maybe explain why these games just fail to click with me#things in older zelda games have specific purposes and can be more situational than pretty much anything in botw/totk so far#it feels. better. to find an item that fits a specific purpose in older loz games. they're more gimmicky.#i feel that open world games (similar to botw/totk) are dragged down by the sheer freedom they allow to me at least#there's too much to do and you're allowed to do whatever so it all feels kind of. standard theres not much purpose to it#the tedium of botw/totk is much more grating than the tedium i experience in skyward sword's lanayru desert#because you HAVE to go through and figure out lanayru desert to continue the story get new items find new dungeons#botw/totk you kinda just get some items and maybe a lackluster quest or some fucking environment thing#long post#idk. im not too far into totk while writing this but rn in a weird way it and botw feel empty to me in a way i cant express#i enjoyed botw at first but after beating it and all it just felt kinda boring and unsatisfying to replay

Hi I'm back. How are you?
How about... A yandere that has had a bunch of lovers and either killed them because he got bored or broke their heart beyond repair? But them he meets the reader and something changes?
Idk it seems like a fun dea.
Yandere! Male! Player x gn! Barista! Reader
Uh ohz, here is the player 🙄 there's a little twist to the request, meowing! I hope you don't mind. (Another Greek mythos twist. Not as blatant as Hades though. Only a bit of the Greek mythos is grabbed, not all.)
I'll see to it how can we break this little man
ヘ( ̄ω ̄ヘ)
AND, I AM GOING TO STOP TAKING NEW YANDERE REQUESTS! But, I am going to take asks about the existing yanderes now!
Yandere! Player name: Amor
Tumblr media
A resounding slap echoed throughout the bustling cafe, silencing the people talking to each other. The woman, tear stricken and angry, looked at the man in front of her.
"We're over!" She yelled before stomping away from the cafe, leaving the man behind.
The people started to gossip amongst each other, but one particular action by the man stunned them.
He just sat down, took out his phone, and called somebody.
"Hey, fancy meeting tonight? I just know of this nice cafe. Date, my treat."
Shameless, the people thought as he chuckled and ended the call with a lazy smirk, stirring his coffee and sipping it.
Amor. Extremely handsome man. Charming, always knew how to get the ladies.
That's what made him full of shit since being handsome is his only redeeming quality.
He's arrogant, a bastard, selfish, has a pride taller than the Eiffel tower, and a total player.
He juggles women left and right, flavor of the day, who's gonna be my girl for the morning, afternoon, and night?
Why do people flock to this man again?
Ah, because the Gods favor this bitch.
What did he do in his past life that women love this man?
Well, in his past life, he's a boring nerd.
His family loved him dearly, and wanted him to succeed in life.
So, attending academic camps, prestigious schools, goddamn Kumon? He got it all.
Awards, upon awards. He collects them like pokemon.
Did it make him interesting?
No. All he knew is academics, and no outside skill.
He's book smart, not street smart.
Poor guy wasn't even attractive. So, when he finished University in an Ivy League Uni, he's lost. He doesn't have charisma to charm employers, he doesn't have the confidence to do public work...
Well, that, and NASA already hired him.
What? He is not street smart and has a hard time finding a job himself, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have connections.
In short, he's a Nepo baby.
At least he's a genius so NASA made sure to use him thoroughly.
But, he felt... Bored.
He wanted more from this life of his.
He wanted a girlfriend for fuck's sake!
So, by some stupid and desperation he himself never thought of doing, he turned to the old gods.
The old Gods, surprised by a sudden influx of eager and desperation of faith from only one man, decided to entertain them.
"PLEASE! WHEN I DIE, MAKE ME EXTREMELY HANDSOME AND HAVE WOMEN LEFT AND RIGHT!"
Oh... That's not...
He's really superficial....
Did the Gods care though? Nah. He's really entertaining. Awakening old Gods just for... Women?
So they granted his wish.
When he died of old age (unfortunately for him.), He woke up to another wealthy and loving family. But this time, he's the son of a world renowned Kpop idol, and a Miss Universe.
"This is overkill." Amor thought to himself as his mother cradled her. "But damn, ain't I happy!"
Growing up, even as a kid, girls liked him. He felt like on the top of the world. He retained his memory, so he's practically a gifted child. No, perfect child even!
Except that he's actually a foul kid.
He became arrogant, a snob. Someone who viewed himself too highly for people.
But do his parents care?
Eh...
They spoil the kid a lot. And turn a blind eye to his lack in manners.
Again, went to prestigious Universities, to Kumon, academic camps.
Everything was a breeze for him now.
He got a job as a model immediately. He decided to not go down the academic path, but use his parents' connections once more to climb up the showbiz ladder!
He's still a Nepo baby in this life.
Well, again, his handsomeness is almost too good to be true (work of the goddess of beauty), so his model career is skyrocketing in success.
And women.
Countless of them.
He cycles through them like toilet paper. Throwing them away once he's got his fill.
Yet, people don't care.
He somehow built a reputation off of being a player. When people say that "he broke somebody's heart again!"
"Eh, what did you expect from being in a relationship with Amor?" They would say with a shake of their head and a smile.
That's how much the Gods intervened with his life.
Once he sets his eyes on someone, he 100% would get them.
Unless....
Tumblr media
"Tsk. Where can I go now..."
Amor paced around the street, turning heads left and right as this man sculpted by the gods had a worried look on his face.
The cafe he frequents closed down, now he needs a new place to take his women to dates to.
He's about to get his phone when a flyer hit him directly on his face. With an irritated glower, he grabbed the flyer.
"ow! What the f... Oh?"
He stopped, seeing the content.
"new cafe open?"
It looks like a generic cafe. But what was interesting was that the cafe is located in an indoor garden. Like a greenhouse.
"This is interesting. Women love flowers, don't they? And a garden of all places!" He laughs, making the gods stir from the sudden new cafe they got.
They all fuzzed, saying that this would be a good place. But, the goddess of Beauty stirred. Saying she got a bad feeling about this.
"relax, nothing will happen."
And when he got inside the cafe, he immediately got shocked by the barista, you.
Has there ever been an ethereal beauty like you? Someone... Someone who rivals even the goddess of beauty herself?!
The goddess stirred again, shackles raised. She never made you, so why are you this attractive?
Then, the goddess whispered on his ear.
It's to make you fall in love with a monster. Someone ugly, a beast... Anything to get your status down! Nobody can be as beautiful as her!
Envy filled the goddess as she gave Amor arrows to hit you with.
Now, assigned with the task of making you fall in love with what the goddess call a 'monster', he sets off to your house in the middle of the night. With the help of the other Gods, he became invisible and flew on to your balcony.
With a creak, your balcony doors opened. Making him shimmy inside through the small crack.
Yet, fate tempted him as the moonlight hit your form. In a vulnerable state, your androgynous beauty is amplified. Your long eyelashes, your skin... Your figure...
Truly, your beauty rivaled the goddess. No, you were more beautiful than her.
His throat dried, eyes glazed over.
Gods, are they tempting him?
It would be a waste for you to fall in love with an ugly guy.
His fingers twitched, trying to grab the arrow.
"OW!"
He seethed, doubling over as he clutched his finger. It got pricked by the arrow.
He somehow forgot a crucial information.
'whoever the first person the pricked sees if the arrows only pricked one, they will fall in love with the first person they sees.'
And, as his eyes irritably looked at you, overwhelming love filled inside him as he gasped in the sudden influx of emotions.
He kneeled down, eyes wide.
He's rigid. All he could see is your form. Lovely and so bright.
And hid eyes softened. A dull light in it as his lips twitched into a lovesick smile.
He was already attracted to you before, and now, pricked by the arrows, he's utterly obsessed with you.
With a twitch of his hand once more, he grabbed the arrow and stabbed himself fully to the thigh.
"GAGH!"
He doubled over, gasping, twitching for air as his heart pulsed through his ears. His eyes frantically finding your sleeping form before letting out a shaky moan from the satisfaction.
It was like a drug. Everytime he sees you, he gets overwhelmed with feelings of affection.
Is this what love is about?
And before he knows it, the arrows are all used up.
It was morbid, seeing this man stabbed with so many arrows.
But his face says otherwise. Like a drugged up man, overdosed on ecstacy, he was in a drooling trance from the addictive feeling of love for you.
The arrow is effective enough by one arrow, and now this?
Well, let's just say...
"I count, right?" He shakily asked the gods. "I'm a monster, somebody who breaks women's heart left and right."
He trembled, standing up.
He walked over to you, legs unsteady as he dropped to his knees once more and planted his lips on your own.
It tasted, you tasted so sweet, divine upon his lips.
He wants more, but he can't risk waking you up.
"Goodbye, my love. See you tomorrow." Amor whispered, grabbing your hand and dragging his nose on your skin and inhaling your scent. Exhaling shakily, he stood up and flew away.
Let's say, the goddess of Beauty was really angry at him.
But her condition, a 'monster', fits him. So, what can she do?
She gritted her teeth and looked at him with hatred, yet complacency.
You're so pretty, it hurts.
Tumblr media
"Welcome to the Psyche cafe! How may I help you-- oh hello, sir Amor! The usual?"
Amor slowly nodded, clearing his throat.
"yes. The usual."
It's been weeks since then. And he made sure to make himself a regular in the cafe. He stopped going on dates, and pulled a lot of strings to somehow burry the player accusations. He knows he can't really burry it all.
So he made (threatened) the women he dated to be positive about him.
He wants to fly on your radar, spot on the middle, so bad.
So, with the invisibility power he got from the Gods, he always followed you. Even up to your home.
At first, his heart pounded like crazy. What if he suddenly appeared? Will you be freaked out? Surprised? Will you run away--
No, you can't run away.
Like you can, anyways.
He knew of your favorite food, fashion sense, hell, your taste in men...
He slowly changed himself into the man of your dreams.
Like a persona he integrated into himself, this sudden change shocked the people. But, they welcomed this change.
"Is he in love, that's why he's changing?"
More than that.
He's making himself into the perfect boyfriend for you.
Now, all he needs is you!
"Here's your coffee, sir!" You greeted with a sweet smile that he swore he had to grab his soul from leaving his body. "Enjoy!"
He gently grabbed the coffee and as usual, gave you 200$.
"sir..." You grimaced.
"Please, just accept it." He smiles. "You've always been a pleasant person to talk to, y/n. So, just see it as a generous tip. That I frequently give."
You looked down at the bill and smiled. Warmness spreads through your chest.
"thank you s--"
You looked up, and froze from the look he's giving you.
Deep, crazed...
Obsessed.
You shivered in fear.
Sensing your eyes on him, he coughed loudly, averting his eyes before returning to the man you knew.
Or did you actually know him?
You don't even know anymore.
But hey, he gives huge tips.
"Thanks again for the coffee." Amor smiles, trying to sweep what happened under the rug as he waved at you.
He went to his usual table. Somewhere secluded, yet has a clear view of you surrounded by flowers.
He observes you. Plans on what to do next.
He knew he can't just waltz in and whisk you away. That's barbaric.
But he's not opposed to the idea though...
He smirks.
He can probably pull tons of strings for you to end up in his arms.
He loves you, don't mistake that.
But, a little bit of... Force would be good.
He's an impatient man.
Also, did he mention that he's a selfish asshole?
How about, making your life so miserable. Getting you kicked out of this cafe, your family suddenly getting a huge debt...
Something he knows you can't pay immediately.
And his family would coincidentally sponsor you by giving you a condition of marrying him!
Anything to be with you, really.
Or, just steal another arrow and hit it with you. That's also plausible.
But, the goddess is pissed with him. So that's the last resort.
He sips his coffee and crosses his long legs.
He's favored by the Gods anyways.
His eyes narrowed slightly as you interacted too amicably with your coworker. An obvious blush on the coworker's face as he got too touchy with you.
No, everyone in the cafe is enamoured with you. Your beauty too good for this world.
He gripped the handle of his cup.
But first, let's get rid of potential rivals, yes?
You are only his.
What is there to fear? He has the resources in his hands to make you his.
You didn't know yet, but your fate is already sealed, tied, and shackled to him.
You don't really have a choice.

SFW and NSFW headcanons for hades please? :>
Record of Ragnarok: Hades SFW+NSFW headcanons 🔞
There you go 😘
SFW
Deep down, Hades is romantic. He likes to surprise you with something from time to time: a nice dinner, candles, a bath or all of a sudden request for a dance. He doesn’t do it too often, because it would destroy the element of surprise.
I’ve said this before, but Hades is the biggest sucker for a smile. He just finds you disarming whenever you give him one. Even better if he is the one who makes you smile. And so it is with giggles, the sound makes his heart beat faster.
Hades is sophisticated and quiet individual, but he would be so soft for you. He knows you are pretty capable of looking after yourself, yet still firmly believes it is his duty as your husband to take care of you. So whenever you’re in a conflict with someone, Hades doesn’t intervene, but still is pretty well-informed about details in case you will need him to have your back.
His favourite part of the day is the evening, when you both can finally relax after fulfilling your duties as king and queen of the Underworld. Hades would like to spend this time with you, not necessarily in an active way, it’s enough for him to just be in your presence when both of you are wrapped in your own entertainments.
Ask for his brothers and you may end up listening to endless stories from Hades’ childhood. He loves them dearly, but doesn’t have many opportunities to talk about them, that’s why your interest in this topic would make him very happy.
Hades would definitely share his love of chess with you and doesn’t mind teaching you how to play. However, don’t expect special treatment, he considers it as a lack of respect for the opponent, which is a no-no for him.
Same goes with wine, I’m convinced that Hades has his own winery and it’s his great hobby. He can teach you everything about it. He’s also very picky when it comes to choosing the right wine, he drinks only the best, so relying on his knowledge in this matter is recommended.
NSFW
Hades likes to chill with you lying on his chest and giving him soft kisses. He just closes his eyes and allows himself enjoy the moment. Making him feel your kisses all over his face is the best way to provoke a further activities.
Hades is highly respected figure in the universe and is seen by many as a fearsome god among the Greek pantheon, so he’s used to all this esteem, acknowledgement and high regard from others, but the praises from you in the bedroom are completely different kind of story. You probably wouldn’t make him blush, but definitely surprise him and make him smile sincerely.
Hades is a big fan of a blowjob. He wouldn’t ask you to go down on him, but if you decide to take the initiative yourself, he wouldn’t stop you. The moment you start caressing him, he is on your mercy. At first he may try to suppress moans, but that won’t last long.
Hades prefers to create variety in different positions rather than kinks. He wants you to be satisfied and the way he achieves that doesn’t matter.
On the more specific side, if you do a reverse cowgirl, Hades would hold your loose hairs. Not pull it - hold it - just so it doesn’t get in the way. He just wants to let you fully enjoy yourself, without any unpleasantness. Besides that he can just admire your beauty and rub your back.
If he is in charge, he prefers to kiss your lips in the middle of the act, when he thrusts into you. It gives him an extra level of connection and he adores hearing you moan into his lips.

Hello good morning, I hope you get well soon, dear. So this is my request for today! Can you write a competition between the gods and human fighter, but instead of the main objective of the competition, they compete because of human reader they fall in love with. You can make the ending.
Lu Bu and Thor
Poseidon and Kojiro sasaki
Jack the ripper and hercules
Qin shi huang and hades
Stay safe and have a nice day. 😍
-Gods vs. Humanity, a fight to the death with one goal in mind!
-Is it for survival? NO!
-It is for bragging rights? NO!
-It was for one thing and one thing only- Y/N!
-You were a human, beautiful and highly desirable, earning your spot in Valhalla after you sacrificed yourself to save a child. You were selfless, kind to all, and just a ray of sunshine, it was hard not to fall for you!
-Both gods and humans were vying for your attention, however…you were a little dense when it came to flirting, you had no idea these nice men gifting you flowers and other gifts wanted to court you. You just thought they were being nice!
-They also realized this, that you were dense, but it added to your cuteness, but it also showed how many were actually vying for your attention.
-Arguments and fights broke out, amongst the two factions, but also amongst themselves, and Zeus offered the idea of having a tournament, gods vs. humanity, and whichever side won would be the only ones allowed to court you, then whichever side won would fight amongst themselves at that point.
-You were blissfully unaware that you were technically the prize in this tournament, mainly because you didn’t know about the tournament- during the whole of it, you were enjoying a picnic in a large garden and reading quietly.
-Lu Bu and Thor- Maybe it wasn’t the brightest idea, pitting these two against each other, as the match had been going on for hours now, neither one giving an inch. At first the fight was amazing, it was so entertaining, but after the first hour, while not boring, watching these two just beating on one another left the crowd wanting new blood, new fighters. At first, Thor and Lu Bu were bitter rivals, both men wanting you for their own, but after realizing that they were both strong, being able to fight against each other without holding back, they quickly became friends. They felt a kinship with each other, being unparalleled warriors, and finally, after just over four hours, they finally stopped, shaking hands in the middle of the arena, forming a truce and a friendship, willing to share you if you wanted to be shared.
-Kojiro and Poseidon- Unlike the previous match, there would be no truce, no sharing, as Poseidon viewed humans, except for you, as beings beneath him, not worthy of his time, and he was only fighting in this tournament so he could go after you. He had no issues stepping on humans to get to his goal, and he had no issues fighting other gods as well. You were perfection- you belonged by his side! Kojiro on the other hand, wanted to keep you safe, he could see the leering looks of these ‘young ones’, both gods and humans, and knew that he wanted to keep you safe. The only way to do that was to win so humanity would win so he could be by your side to keep you safe and he was willing to push himself farther than he had ever had before to do so.
-Jack and Hercules- Hercules had a similar mentality to Kojiro, who could see how others were looking at you, like a pack of lions looking at a newborn lamb, he had to keep you safe! All that stood between keeping you safe was a man who had the same goal, a serial killer of all people- there was no way that Hercules was going to let someone like that get someone like you! Jack saw you as his salvation, the light his dark world, you were pure, untainted by evil emotions like greed and anger, and he wanted to protect that, protect you. Jack desired to keep you all to himself, wanting to keep you away from all others who would taint his bright light. He had no issues snuffing the light out of others to do so.
-Qin Shi Huang and Hades- Another kinship was formed, both being kings and both knowing how hard the job is- however, that’s as far as the kinship went. When it came down to it, you were the goal- they both wanted you as their queen, the one they wanted to stand beside them, and they were standing in each other’s way. This wound up being another very long fight, as neither one wanted to give in and submit, neither one giving an inch! It wound up being another tie after they both knocked themselves out in a double TKO.
-At your picnic you sneezed suddenly, holding your hand to your face, “Oh? I wonder who’s talking about me.” Geirölul looked up at you from where she was resting her head on your lap, knowing full well what was going on but she wasn’t going to lose you to anyone, “Probably people who think you’re adorable.”
-You squeaked cutely, holding your cheeks with your hands as your face turned red as Geirölul grinned warmly, you were really too cute for your own good.

I Start Over With You
[SOLANGELO FANFIC]
summary: After the great battle against the forces of Gaea, Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter had formed a long-lasting alliance. Everything had gone well, and everyone was ready to start anew. This included Nico, who, after confessing his feelings to Percy, was prepared to open a new chapter in his life—perhaps the happiest one the Fates had ever written.
note: the chapters will be updated every Wednesday. If you want to read upcoming chapters of the fanfiction in advance, I invite you to follow me on Patreon. Subscribing is not necessary, these chapters will be added for free on the platform on Mondays and Fridays. Following me there is just a kind and free gesture to support my work c:

[CHAPTER 19]
THE SEASHELL SOUNDED AGAIN, BRINGING THE DEMIGOD BACK TO REALITY. He didn't feel much like going to the mess hall that evening, he would have preferred to stay there in the silence and darkness of his cabin, which during winter nights seemed even more gloomy and deserted.
After a noisy sigh, he pulled himself up, leaving the cabin and heading towards the pavilion. Night fell quickly on the camp, the fog seemed to cling to him, and the shadows seemed to lengthen as if bowing to him. Only the torches illuminated the camp.
The mess hall, the only truly illuminated part of the camp, was already full of demigods sitting at tables, filling the cold and gloomy air with pleasant and warm laughter. Waiting for him at the table was Jason, hand in hand with Piper—who had arrived later that afternoon. The two were so engrossed in conversation that they didn't notice Nico's arrival until he cleared his throat, casting a veil of embarrassment between them.
"Welcome back!" exclaimed Piper, releasing her hand from her boyfriend's. "Everything okay in New Rome?"
Nico shrugged, briefly recounting his months spent there. He mainly talked about school, glossing over the kindness of his classmates.
"Well, nothing special" concluded the son of Hades, taking his plate to make his offering, followed by the other two. "And with your friend?" whispered Piper.
"Normal" he said, glancing at Jason, hoping he hadn't said too much.
The three demigods threw their offerings into the fire, making silent requests or thanks to the gods. Together they returned to the table, which among all was the farthest from the warmth of the fire. "Have you talked much during these months?" Piper asked again, subsequently ordering her goblet to fill with apple juice. "Sometimes" said Nico, unable to help but look up at Jason. "We mainly talked about school"
Piper nodded, hoping to extract some more information from him. Jason had never told her anything in his Iris messages.
"He started a singing course" he told her, although she expected to hear something else. "A what?" "Singing course" he repeated without realizing he was smiling. "He likes singing. I think he has a nice voice though" "he explained briefly, and Piper glanced at Jason, confident that he knew more about it.
The evening continued fairly quietly, Piper occasionally asking questions to break the silence, and Nico was always ready to give her an answer, although in some cases, he remained rather evasive.
After dinner, some groups returned to their cabins, while others gathered around the fire. It was all different without the Apollo campers leading the choir and delighting them with their excellent rhetoric.
Nico stayed with Jason and Piper for a while, who occasionally exchanged kisses and whispered a few words in each other's ears. They stayed a bit to listen to the campers from Cabin Eleven, who entertained the few remaining with comedic scenes and hilarious stories. Later, however, even the son of Hades left, now the general mood was subdued, and even the fire was turning into a dull yellow. He bid farewell to his friends, heading towards his cabin enveloped in the cold mantle of the night.
That night, he was truly determined to sleep, pushing every possible thought from his head, ignoring those annoying and stubborn butterflies in his stomach. The moment when Will would arrive was getting closer and this thought had been tormenting him for too long.
He turned towards the window overlooking the outside; the sky was covered with gray clouds that obscured the stars and the moon as they passed by. The trees in the forest were now completely devoid of their green foliage, and even the grunts and screams of the monsters that lived in the jungle had died down with the arrival of December. That silence seemed truly unnatural.
The son of Hades curled up tighter in the sheets, ignoring the voices swirling in his head. He had no intention of running away this time; he would do as Percy had told him: face it, with head held high, leaving your fears behind.
In the end, he managed to fall asleep, albeit consumed by dreams that slowly turned into nightmares. It had been a while since he had dreamed of anything, and he was certain that something was happening outside of that camp, something he didn't even want to know about. The nightmare then stopped, bringing him back to his more peaceful dreams until they disappeared along with the first cold lights of dawn.
Nico didn't immediately get up; he simply stayed still, staring at the landscape slowly waking up. His stomach was churning, as before an exam. Suddenly, his strength seemed to desert him; he would have liked to stay in bed, hidden under the sheets, or disappear somewhere and reappear later, but a part of him didn't really want to do that. With a push of courage, he got up, feeling the icy floor of the cabin beneath his feet.
He got ready carefully, taking more time than usual in the bathroom; he wanted to make a good impression that morning. From the wardrobe, he chose a high-necked sweater he had found in a store in New Rome; the saleswoman had told him it fit him like a glove, and indeed, it suited him well.
After encouraging himself in front of the mirror, he headed out towards the pavilion. He didn't have much of an appetite that morning; the butterflies in his stomach didn't stop moving for a moment.
As every day, Jason was waiting for him at the table, sitting next to Piper, who was smiling at him in a strange way. "Good morning" Piper greeted, widening her smile. Nico responded with a nod, sitting down at the table and being served immediately. "Jason told me your friend should be arriving today"
Nico sighed, confirming what Piper already knew. From the way Piper kept staring at him, he was pretty sure Jason had told her more than just about his friend's upcoming arrival. "Do you know when he'll arrive?" the girl asked.
"I think in the afternoon" he replied, although he didn't really know himself when he would arrive. "We'll probably go to the bay, there's never anyone there" he added, resigned to the fact that they wouldn't leave him alone until he told them all about his plans. "That's a good idea" Piper nodded. "Have you prepared a speech?" she asked, and Nico shook his head in response. "I'll improvise" he told her, mentioning his feeble attempts in front of the mirror.
"You'll loosen up when you have him in front of you" Jason reassured him, understanding the difficulty of expressing one's feelings in words.
They talked a bit more; the daughter of Aphrodite occasionally gave him some advice, like not losing eye contact. Piper was fantastic, spontaneous, and genuine; he should have told her before instead of keeping it to himself. "Don't make the speech too long, get to the point" the girl concluded, giving him some simple tips. Nico truly appreciated that gesture.

LO RANT:
Okay this is the anticipated rant you’ve all been waiting for cause I’m just over it really, yes I’d like to see how this shit ends but am I going to entertain it more? Yes and no. I’m sorry but my favorite characters (LO’s most wanted) are still in the comic and at this point I feel like they’re being held hostage and I want them freed immediately they don’t deserve to be locked up in this social experiment that is the relationship of Persephone and Hades.
The biggest hugest gripe I have with this whole thing is that.. I just don’t get the point of anything leading up to this. What was the point in the whole “Hwades!!! I want indepwendence, I want mwy own life and I want a nwormal relationship!!” speech that Persephone gave us after the Kronos battle? What was the point of after days of Persephone continually trying to remind Hades of her boundaries every single day while being constantly ignored and put on the back burner just so Hades can continue implanting all of his wishes and dreams onto her without even discussing any of it. There was no point in trying to develop that plot line if there wasn’t going to be a plot anyways, it was just incredibly annoying.
This just raises another thing I absolutely despise about their relationship, and I feel like I’m a broken record because I keep saying the same thing over and over again but their relationship is so incredibly stupid. Like I feel like Rachel is just adding “romantic” things in the comic while ignoring the actual context. Persephone has just been crowned Queen of the Underworld which should’ve been a much bigger deal to everyone involved because we don’t know if she’s capable and we don’t even know if she wanted to be queen. Before this she was just the goddess everyone knew and now she’s queen of a whole realm, she’s not a dumb village girl and she has the power to control things now. This should’ve been a much bigger point in the story, why even introduce the fact that she’s queen now when obviously it seems like she doesn’t even care about the title. Why is her first thought getting an apartment? Why is she more worried about shopping than her literal royal duty?? Why is she more concerned with sex rather than being the ruler of the Underworld? That’s like if you fought this intense battle and won just to be made president of the country all in one day, you’re going to feel some changes and there’s gonna be pressure but we don’t even get that from Persephone because she’s too worried about the little things with Hades that they’ve already been doing.
This brings me to my next point, the whole romance thing is so incredibly lackluster and underwhelming and you wanna know why? Because there’s absolutely zero stakes and tension between them. Oh wow, Hades and Persephone got engaged? That’s totally not surprising at all and I’m completely shocked. With the way they treat each other it feels like they were engaged since they’re first meeting. Ever since the start they were familiar with each other despite being total strangers and meeting under disturbing circumstances, they had obvious feelings for each other and displayed it for everyone to see with help from other characters moving them towards each other for that sole reason, when they became “friends” they were still very flirty and physical and having the comfortability that you would have with your partner of 8 years. You see what I’m getting at? In no point in time was there ever a question if their relationship was ever going to develop or become anything more than flirting and fluff and that’s just so incredibly boring to me. Especially with their dynamic, they both can do no wrong in each other’s eyes and they will continue to place the other on a pedestal. Their relationship is highly disturbing and I hate how it’s marked as healthy, just because you’ve never mistreated your partner physically doesn’t mean that your relationship is healthy. This is a prime example of unhealthy and obsessive relationships.
Another thing I absolutely hate about all of this is how absolutely fucking hypocritical all of this shit is especially with Hades being involved. That was the biggest mistake of the century, why the hell would Hades be defending Persephone from Demeter’s emotional abuse when he does the same exact shit? It’s fucking ridiculous. If this was realistic he’d most likely side with her mainly because he doesn’t see anything wrong about stuff like this cause he does it all the time. This is like an abusive parent trying to argue with another abusive parent about how abusing kids is wrong while continuing to be an abusive piece of shit, you see how the shit doesn’t work? I’d rather see Hestia or even Artemis defend Persephone since let’s be real this whole situation is essentially about them and their group so why would Hades even be there to begin with. The way that Demeter being emotionally abusive towards Persephone is disgusting and terrible (which is completely understandable) but all the times Hades personally humiliated and created such a hostile environment for Thanatos that he literally SHAKES and STUTTERS when he’s in the presence of Hades especially when he’s mad is excused is absolutely horrendous. Honestly with how out of the blue this whole thing is I feel like this is only the first instance of this stuff happening while with Thanatos we’re shown dozens on dozens of chapters where he gets severely mistreated emotionally by Hades and it’s basically a daily thing for him. You have no room to say Demeter is a terrible parent and not bring Hades down with her because there should be no excuse of why Thanatos is absolutely terrified of Hades and how Hades knowing this fact uses it to continuously intimidate and degrade him.
The double standards of this whole thing is incredibly telling as well. Hera literally pressured Persephone into having an extravagant coronation even when Persephone obviously wanted to have a small get together and yet she got pushed down and ignored by Hera and she acted like Persephone was being ridiculous because of her response. I don’t understand why everyone is okay with Hera putting Persephone’s ideas down and not actually respecting her voice or even her title as queen of the Underworld yet when Demeter does the same thing she’s in the wrong for it. I’m not understanding why we aren’t calling out Hera for it as well since they did the exact same thing just framed in different scenes. This is just more reason for me to believe that Rachel really just doesn’t like Demeter and that there’s no actual reason why Persephone and Demeter have a bad relationship because when it comes down to it no one treats her good at all not even Hades. Everyone is a manipulative parent to her and no one gives her the respect that she deserves yet the comic truly wants us to believe that everything is completely fine when the main cast mistreats her yet when it’s Demeter it’s a capital offense.
All I’m saying with this rant is I’m tired of people putting down Demeter for her actions towards Persephone yet instantaneously supporting similar actions made by other characters. It feels like it’s just Lore Olympus vs Demeter at this point because of how extremely immature and underwhelming this whole thing is. Everyone walks all over Persephone and they force her to do things she doesn’t want to, it’s a theme and common scene in this comic I’m tired of everyone acting like only Demeter has ever done it and if I’m being honest with you before this chapter came out Demeter really was the only person who treated Persephone like she was competent, she never babied her or made her feel less than and she valued her well being and happiness. Everyone in her “support” group including Hades denies her access to her full potential by doing and handling everything for her and they obviously don’t think she’s capable of pretty much anything, the way they treat her is really pathetic and it really makes it seem like Persephone has no dignity especially with her peers. Very hard to watch.

Lie To Me (5)
Apollo shook his head sharply. “Politics is different,” he insisted. “She has nothing to do with her father.”
Percy couldn’t help it. She huffed out an infuriated laugh. “Do you even hear the words coming out of your mouth?” she demanded. “Do you really believe the two are so separate that you can cleave them apart without a drop of ichor?”
“As long as it’s not hers, it’s fine,” Apollo replied pitilessly. “When he brought her into his house, when he married her, he only promised to protect her, after all.”
***
“Well, once upon a time, during my infancy–”
Percy withheld the snort bursting to come out. Hadn’t they just had an entire discussion over how infancy was a rhetorical concept for beings who’d practiced the most cut-throat version of cannibalism ever?
Apollo narrowed his eyes at her but Percy simply mimed zipping her mouth closed. No inopportune comments from this corner, no sir.
“My mother,” he continued with great dignity, “was friends with … not my archenemy. But Meg’s mother.”
Yes, it hadn’t taken Percy more than a week to realise that in any house Apollo resided, he inculcated a certain apathy for Demeter, if not outright hatred, in respect for Meg’s feelings.
“And in the course of time, they entertained the notion of getting their children together.”
Apollo shrugged, as if saying, ‘What can you do?’
Percy held up a hand, reeling from the realisation being heralded by the grey fumes rising off the Styx. “You’re talking about Persephone!” she hissed incredulously.
He shot her a dirty look. “No reason to sound so surprised. I’m a highly desirable bachelor, you know. Everyone wants me.”
“Right,” Percy replied, ignoring the pang those words shot through her. Of course, only someone like Persephone, Goddess of Spring, could possibly suit Apollo.
Discomfort etched a permanent tattoo on her skin, but Percy managed to paste on an expression of faint curiosity on her face. “Then?”
Apollo still appeared unconvinced, but he unbent enough to share, “Naturally, we were both too self-obsessed to give the other what they wanted. And too competitive to settle for anything less than the best. And then of course–”
Apollo waved a hand, encompassing the entirety of the Underworld scenery – stalactite hung cavern ceiling, rushing acid-water better known as the Styx, glass shards substituting for sand, and rocky outcroppings jagged enough to shear through any rope used to anchor a drowning soul.
“And then got kidnapped,” Percy finished. It had always terrified her – just how easily even a goddess could be abducted and simply kept despite all the efforts otherwise. How Persephone had been starved until even six grains of pomegranate were an irresistible feast. She’d been tricked into staying with her captor, and then had the blame for her imprisonment heaped solely on her own head.
“Hey,” Apollo prompted softly, jerking Percy out of her maudlin contemplations. “I know Persephone gets a bad rep, what with the whole naïve youngster tricked by evil uncle, foolish appetite, and Stockholm Syndrome thing, but she’s not like that. There’s a reason she managed to finagle a separate establishment from her helicopter-mother of a Godzilla. If she doesn’t want to stick around, you’ll be hard-pressed to not kick her out.”
“Maybe she was like that with her mother, who she knew wouldn’t hurt her,” Percy protested. “And maybe she’s managed to work out a compromise with Hades now, over years of coexistence. But in the beginning, when all she knew was that her father had sold her to an Olympian, what could she do?”
Apollo sucked in a harsh breath, something indecipherable flashing through his azure eyes. “That’s not,” he broke off, his deathly pallor making him resemble a true denizen of the Underworld.
Percy swallowed, uncertain as to apologise for putting this thought in his head, or to rail at him for never suspecting the compromises his friend might have had to make.
“Don’t say that,” Apollo whispered. “Please don’t ever say that. He didn’t … he would have never hurt her.”
Percy turned away, unwilling to continue this conversation any further. Furious incredulity, however, made it impossible to stay silent for more than a hundred and fifty beats of her heart.
“If he’s such a gentleman, if you hold such admiration in your heart for him, how come none of you harboured any compunctions about his role in the theft of the Master Bolt?” she accused.
Percy … Percy couldn’t figure out the maelstrom inside her breast, couldn’t figure out why they were even arguing over matters hashed out in antiquity. Couldn’t figure out why this struck her so close to home that her heart bled from the lacerations.
There was a promise in Apollo’s eyes that Percy didn’t want to figure out.
***
And somewhere, Hades and Persephone are watching their perfect relationship being used by these two to pummel every single trauma the other could have about a relationship.

Do you have any creative influences? I'm always so impressed by your work— your prose especially— and I need to know if there's any creators out there I need to file away in the creative influence database in my head so I can write like you
This question took all day of me searching and thinking because I can't really say I know who or what's influenced me right off the top of my head. With notable exceptions that bookend this post. Anyway, here you go!
@.teshamerkel 's PMD Seekers of Soul was my TPiaG before I found TPiaG. It helped me through a part of my life that, looking back, was a lot harder than I thought it was. While it didn't move me to the point of starting to make my own art again, I certainly did consider it. And I consider Seekers of Soul to be a must-read for any PMD fanfic enthusiasts.
Tui T. Southerland's Wings of Fire series is the first thing I can remember thinking of fanfiction for. I never did write any of it, mostly because I never felt motivated enough (and partially because it was was all just oc x canon). But even with my misgivings of the series and how bungled the overall theme of arc 2 was with how they defeated the big bad, book 6 is still one of my favorite books of all time.
All of @.saltnpepperbunny 's work is really good, and definitely had an influence!
PMD Victory Fire holds a very special place in my heart for being excellent story, incredible artwork (that I think was done in MS paint), and being one of the first pmd things I consumed besides the games. Even if its on indefinite hiatus, I still consider it to be a must-read for even people outside of the PMD sphere. I would go into more detail, but I don't want to spoil anything!
I also consider Cucumber Quest to be a must-read. I dont have much to say besides that it's genuinely amazing and that you should read it the first chance you get.
Obligatory Avatar The Last Airbender mention. It's shocking to me how the worst that show got was just a mediocre episode in the first season. (The great divide) I genuinely think the entire series should be put in museums or something because it is an enormous accomplishment in the field of storytelling in general.
Scoob And Shag goes from a silly, foul-mouthed joke comic, to... not a joke comic. I would love to gush about it, but I fear that doing so would spoil it. Check it out. Even if its just for the (frankly absurd) glow up in the artistic style and quality. I normally advise going into things as blind as possible, but I would recommend checking the TV tropes page to know what kinda stuff you're in for once you reach around episode 20~30 and then seeing if it's something you would be interested in. It's very good, but definitely not for everyone.
... I thiiiiink that's it for people and content I can point to and know that they've influenced me off the top of my head. (Aside from one massive exception at the end of this post) The rest of this is just kinda a list of content and creators I really enjoy and highly recommend checking out at some point. Even If I can't really tell just how much of an effect it's had on me.
First, videogames!
Despite how much of my time I spend playing videogames, the only few I can point to are:
Celeste
Undertale
Undertale Yellow
Deltarune
Stardew Valley
and Hades. (I recommend Hades the most)
Despite how much I love the series, I haven't actually played any PMD games. (At least, in any official sense.) I am working towards getting them though!
Next, Youtubers:
• Atastic's animations are fantastic! I don't have much to say beyond that they are really good and fun.
• Bumbles McFumbles is a rare example of a person who is equally entertaining while talking about something he likes, as he is while talking about something he doesn't like. He's got an excellent sense of comedic flow and timing. He's part of the reason why my humor is the way it is.
• Doodley is an animator that makes videos on animation principles and is also just generally entertaining while also educational.
• Eltorro64rus makes all of his absurdist, extremely smooth animations in Gmod. Which is endlessly impressive if you know that Gmod is a game first, and an animation software like, 6th. The humor is very much an acquired taste though.
• FutureCanoe has such a funny, dry sense of comedy that it almost makes you forget that he's a cooking youtuber who somehow makes all of his food look like it was poisoned before, during and after cooking.
• GildedGuy is such a cool animator that he got his stickman OC in fortnite! And all his animations are gorgeous masterpieces, that too.
• Krugston is an animator that is constantly experimenting with his style. He went from a generic storytime animator to, in my opinion, one of the most unique and creative animators on the platform.
• Neytirix is an animated youtuber, but describing her videos really difficult because of just how unique they are. My best shot at it would probably be: "horror storytime animator and artist, with overarching plot between videos"
• Overly Sarcastic Productions has an entire, multi-hour long playlist of videos on different tropes. And within those is writing advice. While there are a couple of things that I remember disagreeing with, (even though I can't remember specifically what. probably just opinions on certain shows' quality) The general advise they give can be a big help. (They also do history lessons, and while I don't care for those as much, there is definitely appeal behind them)
• MajorLink doesn't have a large amount of videos, but he does have a fan animated series of The Legend Of Zelda. One with a total runtime reaching just over two hours at this point, with more on the way!
• ScottTheWoz is up there with Jerma as one of the most experimental, consistently funny, and creative e-celebs on their respective platforms. One of the few YouTubers that you would have to watch his videos in chronological order to understand all of the jokes. But even lacking context behind all of the injokes and references is fine because he writes jokes with the knowledge that someone might be watching it for the first time. 'Great Gaming Mysteries', followed by 'The Trial' would be my favorite youtube video of all time if they weren't separate.
• Wendigoon's videos are equal parts entertaining, and disturbing. They also are consistently over the 1 hour mark, so they also make for pretty good background noise material if you want to hear a guy talk for hours.
• Yahya Danboos has several videos showcasing his process of making an ambitious 3d hack-n-slash as a solo dev. It's pretty informative on the process of making a 3d game.
Next is TV shows!
This one is even shorter than videogames since the amount of time I spend searching for shows to watch, and watching youtube videos on said shows, outweighs the amount of time I spend actually watching the shows.
But I can fully recomend these shows though!
Centaurworld
Amphibia
Gravity Falls
Adventure Time
The Owl House
Next up, Webcomics!
All of the following are in no specific order. If I don't say anything, it's not because it's worse, but because saying "it's really dang good and you should check it out" for every entry can get exhausting.
All of these can be found on ComicFury.
PMD: Taken Place
Pokémon Abridgestery Dungeon
PMD: Milos From Home
PMD: On Borrowed Time
PMD: Terminus
PMD: Another Perspective
PMD: The Human Connection
PMD: Rangers Of Sky
PMD: The Rouge Team
Autumn In Sinnoh
Jet's Black Nuzlocke
Last Light
Soul Food
Endurance: In Our Blood
Laika's Comet
The-Heart-Of-A-Monster
Vagabond Sonic
All of the following I found on Webtoons, some I know arent on just webtoons, but I do know that they're all on there.
Lil' Char and Gang
Suitor Armor
Vampire Husband
City Of Blank
The Greatest Estate Developer (genuinely the funniest webtoon ive ever read)
The Last Dimension
Hand Jumper
Spontaneous World Shifting (my favorite out of all of these in the webtoons section)
Magic School Girl: Spare No Villains
Loving Reaper (my beloved)
TRIPTRACK
Spellward Bound
Marionetta
Zodiac Parade
Of Swamp and Sea
Jupiter Men
Vibe Check!
CARL
Next is the various Tumblrinas I follow. (Not tagging them because i feel like it'd be wierd.)
@.cringywhitedragon and @.ghetsis both come up with really cool idea's that are partially responsible for the things I come up with.
@.efplanning Makes some cool art and is also cooking up a really cool universe that I'm excited to see.
@.obogaboo is making PMD: Taken Place and is also just a really good artist.
@.teeterarting Author of The Rouge Team and also makes really lovely art
@.aimer-arts 's art is adorable and wonderful and beautiful and I love it.
Same goes for @.quikyu
Same goes for @.sunsnak
Same goes for @.pichiicake
Same goes for @.pikabata
Same goes for @.chufflepop
Same goes for @.honeycrud
Same goes for @.honrupi-art
Same goes for @.cryptid-creations
Same goes for @.dailyralsei
Same goes for @.bugblast
@.zeropro Is the author of Jet's Black Nuzlocke, and also makes some great art on the side!
@.fwugradiation makes some cool music I think. He hasn't posted it a while though.
@.spicymochi makes cute art that I wanna buy stickers of in the future.
@.advosart 's riolu gives me life.
And now for the grand finale! The person who's my greatest creative influence:
It's @sincerely-sofie
You asked me for my biggest creative influences, but it seems to me, from what I think is implied in that ask you sent, didn't realize that I wouldn't even be here if it weren't for you. I doubt I ever would have gotten started even writing things if it weren't for the things that you make and your constant, uplifting encouragement.
While all of these other things I've outlined in this post did have an impact, and those ones at the start had more of an impact as i might not have thought of before, they all are barely quantifiable compared to just how much of an impact your own stuff has had on my creative expression. It's your stuff that got me to begin creatively expressing after all!
You say you like my Prose, but I actually think that it sounds closest to yours than anyone elses, if we assume that my own personality isnt a factor.
It's genuinely impossible to thank you enough for how much of a positive impact you've had on me.
:)

Another Story
“What do you make of Mary's behaviour tonight?” “It was not unlike her,” said Robert. Watching Cora slowly massage the lotion into her hands and elbows – her daily ritual – he couldn't help but smile. “Matthew's replies were quite witty.” “I guess so.” “Mary's little performance reminded me of another story.” “Oh?” Cora looked up at Robert, who had seated himself into the armchair. Curiosity always made her look a little childlike, expectation in her eyes obvious. Of all three only Sybil inherited this trait – but then again, Sybil was still a child. “What story?” “The Story of Hades and Persephone”. Now the curiosity in her eyes was quickly replaced by slight confusion. “How so?” she smiled, seeing amusement in his eyes. “Has one of our daughters been kidnapped and I don’t know?” Robert's smile widened. “Fortunately, no. No, it's just… Persephone had another name.” He paused for a moment. “She was also known as ‘Cora’.” A second passed, and Cora let out a surprised chuckle. It certainly was an unexpected twist. “What are you getting at? As far as I am aware, you did not kidnap me.” “No, but you definitely were miserable in my 'kingdom', and for quite some time. For which I am very sorry.” “Oh, darling.” Cora stood up and took a step toward, reaching her hands out for him. “But that is about it. Well, you do have a dog, but, apart from this, you are nothing like Hades. And, luckily, I don’t have to return to my mother every half a year.” They both laughed; Robert stood, too, and took her hands. They were so warm and soft, but he highly doubted that it was thanks to the lotion. Oh, how he loved her. Admired her. She had been sad, and he knew it. The question of succession bothered her more than she let it show, and even more so since she never really stopped blaming herself for not giving her husband a son. With James and Patrick dead, Mary’s prospects unclear and all the distress they had had lately, he almost forgot that perhaps she needed comfort, too. “True. I am no Hades, but you are spring itself. My beautiful goddess, queen and wife. My Persephone.” Robert leaned closer to kiss those smiling lips. “My Cora.” She eagerly kissed him back. Sometimes his knowledge of ancient history and mythology was most entertaining and, well, appealing. Unwillingly separating herself from him, Cora breathed out: “All this talk made me crave pomegranate. Do you think we can get some right now?” Long, delicate fingers made their way to the buttons of his grey pyjamas. “You could feed me a few seeds.” She teasingly opened her mouth, as if ready to taste the sweetness and tart. The mischief in bright blue eyes, which was easily recognisable, made Robert’s insides jump up and down. He prayed that Mrs. Patmore would have some in the kitchen, and if not pomegranate then at least something similar… because the night promised to be full of the most terrific fun.

Ok Downton Abbey did the impossible – I’m back to writing. Not sure whether I’ll post it on fanfiction.net. Should I? I really would like to hear what my fellow Cobert shippers think :)

top 5 favorite mfb fics?
Oooh this is a hard one, especially since I haven't read too many fics so this list might just be ones I have read in depth. I don't think I can rank them in a particular order but I'll list the fics that I love thinking about.
By the Dead of Morning/I'll be Better for it/And then Fortified I'll Rise - CureDeity
I have talked about this fic before and ughh it's so good in characterizing Faust and establishing a dynamic between him and Toby. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it but I would highly recommend this. It is a very long read but a good one nonetheless.
2. A Beyblade Carol - CallmeCloudyorVal
This Christmas special is so funny I absolutely love the Doji slander and him just getting berated by everyone here. I also love the little bits of Motti running around the Hades Cult building, she is just so entertaining I love her <3
3. Beyblade: Metal Mayhem- The Qualifiers - LadyLazagna
I know this is just the qualifiers and that there are so many more parts to go but I absolutely love the characterization given to all the different cast members so far. I especially love the chapters focusing on Tsubasa and Hikaru, as well as Team Dungeon. I'm very excited to see what comes next.
4. Custard Pudding - qloof
A very nice fic where we get to see Damian and Jack interacting after the events of Masters. It's really nice to see Damian slowly recovering from all the trauma he had to face at Hades Inc. I did not think I would need to read about Damian interacting with cats, but here we are.
5. Temple Tetris - DinoSohn
This fic is about Dynamis obtaining a Game Boy Color and playing Tetris. It's simple yet sweet, allowing someone as stern and strict as Dynamis, relaxing by playing a game. It is a good read and nice to see Dynamis in a different light than what is seen in the show.

Luke 16:19-31
'And at his gate, there lay a poor man called Lazarus.'
Tumblr media
The Rich Man and the Poor Lazarus,
Painted by Hendrick ter Brugghen (1588-1629),
Painted in 1625,
Oil on canvas,
© Centraal Museum, Utrecht, Netherlands
Gospel Reading
Jesus said to the Pharisees: ‘There was a rich man who used to dress in purple and fine linen and feast magnificently every day. And at his gate there lay a poor man called Lazarus, covered with sores, who longed to fill himself with the scraps that fell from the rich man’s table. Dogs even came and licked his sores. Now the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to the bosom of Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried.
‘In his torment in Hades he looked up and saw Abraham a long way off with Lazarus in his bosom. So he cried out, “Father Abraham, pity me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in agony in these flames.” “My son,” Abraham replied “remember that during your life good things came your way, just as bad things came the way of Lazarus. Now he is being comforted here while you are in agony. But that is not all: between us and you a great gulf has been fixed, to stop anyone, if he wanted to, crossing from our side to yours, and to stop any crossing from your side to ours.”
The rich man replied, “Father, I beg you then to send Lazarus to my father’s house, since I have five brothers, to give them warning so that they do not come to this place of torment too.” “They have Moses and the prophets,” said Abraham “Let them listen to them.” “Ah no, Father Abraham,” said the rich man “but if someone comes to them from the dead, they will repent.” Then Abraham said to him, “If they will not listen either to Moses or the prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone should rise from the dead.”’
Reflection on the painting
Hendrick Jansz ter Brugghen was a Dutch painter of genre scenes and religious subjects. He was one of the main members of the group of Dutch followers of Caravaggio – the so-called Utrecht Caravaggisti. Caravaggio's influence is visible in the use of strong 'chiaroscuro' (dark/light) for the figures. Also, Caravaggio used everyday people that he would take from the street and ask to sit for him as models;  he then painted them realistically, just as they were. Our painting shows these same realistic and highly personal characteristics of the figures.
The main protagonist, who is lit in the foreground, is Lazarus. He is the central character of our story today. He is begging one of the master's servants to give him some food. He's had enough of just living off the crumbs from the table. The dogs are licking his wounds. The left dog is staring at us. They are hunting dogs, as would befit a wealthy man, and the painter appears to have taken delight in rendering the animals’ well-brushed, spotted fur.
The scene is set like a theatrical stage. At the back, the rich man is entertaining a guest. He is dressed in a silk tunic, dyed with expensive purple in accordance with the story, and his table is covered in fine linen and bears a still life consisting of a large fish on a metal dish, a plate with juicy green olives, a bread roll, a small carafe, and two more pewter plates. The rich man holds a wine-filled flute glass while instructing an approaching maid.
On the far right, a lavishly dressed man-servant wearing  a feathered cap is trying to move the ungainly beggar away from his master’s doorstep. The servant is not mentioned in the parable, but is often included in visual representations to accentuate the rich man’s dismissive attitude toward the poor.
Martin Luther King preached on this parable in 1968, a few weeks before his assassination. Dr. King said:
"… Because our expressways carry us from the ghetto, we don't see the poor. … Jesus told a parable one day, and he reminded us that a man went to hell because he didn't see the poor. His name was Dives. He was a rich man. And there was a man by the name of Lazarus who was a poor man, but not only was he poor, he was sick. Sores were all over his body, and he was so weak that he could hardly move. But he managed to get to the gate of Dives every day, wanting just to have the crumbs that would fall from his table. And Dives did nothing about it. And the parable ends saying, 'Dives went to hell, and there was a fixed gulf now between Lazarus and Dives.'
There is nothing in that parable that said Dives went to hell because he was rich. Jesus never made a universal indictment against all wealth. …  Dives didn't realise that his wealth was his opportunity. It was his opportunity to bridge the gulf that separated him from his brother Lazarus. Dives went to hell because he passed by Lazarus every day and he never really saw him. He went to hell not because he was rich, but because he allowed his brother to become invisible…"

Hey bestie it’s me again!! So since I loved ouabh I was wondering if you have any other book recs for me! (Bc now I trust you with my life in terms of books!!) doesn’t have to be fantasy either I’m good with whatever :)
HI OMG YAY!
so i recently read "gods behaving badly" by marie phillips which was so funny and entertaining. i really enjoyed it. it's about greek gods and goddesses in the modern era. has literally every "big" deity so it's great to see everyone together. it's also a super quick read.
if you want a romance series, i HIGHLY recommend "the league of extraordinary women" by evie dunmore. it is SO underrated and historically accurate and FEMINIST-Y!!!! plus all the male love interests are CHEF'S kiss and i believe the next one is gonna be middle eastern / north african? idk but he calls the female love interest habibi so....... i literally talk about this series all the time it's so GOOD. and you can read it out of order. the 3rd book is my fave because i can't resist a hades&persephone inspired story.
i'm currently reading several books because i have no self control. i'm reading hester by laurie lico albanese which is the story of how nathaniel hawthorne was inspired to write the scarlet letter. it's cute. nathaniel is cute. it IS a little slow though, but very interesting. it's got witch trails and some romance.
i'm also reading these infinite threads which is the second book in the this woven kingdom series by tahereh mafi. no complains there.
and finally, i'm reading abby jimenez's yours truly which just came out this week and so far it's been pretty good! i like jacob. he's like if alex nilsen from people we meet on vacation was mixed with my character faye. so.... super anxious and paranoid. super relatable!
hope that helps!!!!!!! lmk if you end up reading any of these!

Get To You Know Tag Game
@starlightscribe tagged me for this game. Thank you very much!

What is your favorite color?
Oh, that’s a difficult one. But I’ve always been partial to purple, red, and blacks. Recently I’ve been enjoying gold and green, however.
What are you currently reading?
A Touch of Darkness by Scarlett St. Clair. It’s a Hades/Persephone retelling and is really reminding me of when I was young and loved paranormal YA books. But in a good way.
What was the last song you listened to?
According to my phone, What a Catch, Donnie by Fall Out Boy from when I was driving home from work this morning.
What was the last TV series you watched?
I don’t really watch a lot of TV, but if YouTube counts... I’ve been watching Gemini Home Entertainment. It’s an analog horror series and it is creepy good. Really awesome stuff and I highly recommend!
What was the last movie you watched?
I also don’t really watch movies as it’s hard for me to sit still and pay attention for that long unless the movie is really good. I did watch the middle of Forest Gump before work yesterday... does that count? If not... I think the last movie I sat down and actually watched all the way through was Where the Crawdads Sing when it came out in theaters... lol.
Are you a sweet, savory, or spicy person?
Savory for the most part, but I do enjoy most foods. Still working on my spice tolerance, however. I have GERD so it’s difficult.
What are you currently working on?
What I am not working on is a better question, lol. Currently still daydreaming and writing scraps for Waking into Divinity. But I’ve also been wanting to finish Glass Nightmares and Paper Faith as well as get to planning for NaNo this year... as always, I am doing The Most and getting nothing done.
