post-vacation hangover except I didn't go anywhere I just spent 4 straight days with Sierra so post-Sierra's vacation hangover...has anyone ever had a guest visit them and you're showing off your boring cringefail city with great weariness and they notice five thousand beautiful and deeply stupid things you never noticed before and then they leave and you have a renewed appreciation for your city 😭

#they sell ESPRESSO MARTINIS AT THE TANK #downtown is DEAD #there are amazing vegan nachos downtown!!#there is a nirvana soul kinda close to the tank!!#veteran's day is on a FRIDAY #and if you're a 10 on the east coast you're 50 in san jose and a 1000 for the barracuda!!#i can't believe i got them to haberdasher i forgot that place existed until this week and then we were there until 12am talking abt keebler #god truly fuck san jose conceptually this place sucks but living in north county was so so so much worse and i'm glad i'm down here again #and i get to show my beautiful friends this town #and i get to experience with them how deeply stupid this cringe ass boring city with bad highways is but with a kind of appreciation #asking sierra 20 times yesterday when they are coming back. you wanna come back for the all-star and season finale sooo bad :((((((#now i have to write a sermon instead of being put in a medically induced coma or writing weird keebler/ekky all afternoon #which is a hell i think only methodists could design #fresno oilers.txt

#i love driving *so* much. like i was made to move i think. i was made to Go #i could do it for hours. days. just keep going and going. coasting. racing. cruising #i learned to drive stick today. and i drove down a highway that was pretty empty. and it wound through hills. groves of trees #tall grasses. i passed a winery and a small town or two with populations of only a couple hundred. large fields and farms #cows and horses. a rodeo fairground #it was beautiful. and no one was around. and i just drove and it's my favorite thing ever i think #god. it's like swimming in a moment. does that make sense? it's like i have nothing to worry about #and i love driving as the sun sets. i also love driving in the city at night when everyone is moving and living and doing all sorts of stuff #i love the lights and the smell of cold concrete. i also love the sun on my skin and wind through my hair and the smell of nature #and i love passing through it all. things slow down and speed up at the same time. i think i love it for the same reasons i love liminality #because that's also sorta what it's like #ugh #i hope someday part of my soul gets to fly a rickety old spaceship through the stars #there's an itch there that needs to be scratched. it won't happen in my lifetime but. maybe sometime later #anyways. i'm so glad i'm alive #sometimes i remember when i couldn't imagine myself older than 16/17 #and i think about all my favorite things i've experienced. and everything i want to do. and i hold it so tightly #i'm just glad i'm here #sap says

really miss my old foster cat Tommie. I should’ve just adopted him. He was my lil guy.

#a few nights ago at a bar I was chatting with some older guys #and one of them talks about a friend/lover he had for a few months 30 years ago when he was in his early 20s #and how he never forgot him #and another guy said that some people just leave an imprint on your soul forever #Tommie left a pawprint on my soul forever #i dreamed about him a few times in one we were dancing together at the beach at night and we’re both drunk #(idk how he got drunk but he was)#in a couple I’m driving on an empty highway and Tommie’s sitting on the passenger seat #or another person is driving and I’m in the passenger seat and Tommie is centre backseat #very unrealistic because in reality he wouldn’t be sitting still he’d be jumping around everywhere inside the car #blogshit
