Okay so Loudermilk is finally on UK Netflix and I'm going to chalk this up as a personal win as it must be because of the 1000s of petitions I sent to Netflix right? You can thank me later fellow Brits.

i think a crucial aspect of the codebreakers dynamic that is sometimes overlooked is how likewise enamoured phil is with étoiles . like étoiles is the god of praising and hyping people up so people tend to focus on how much étoiles thinks phil is the coolest guy ever but do not forget that phil also thinks étoiles is the coolest fucking guy to ever guy he will never pass up an opportunity to talk about how cool and strong and funny étoiles is . their relationship is built on their mutual ‘WOW this guy is awesome’ feelings for one another and it is amazing

ok alien stage fans dont hate me for what im about to say im just throwing the IDEA out there okay. but just listen

you know how we have these two promo images of ivan and till?

("observation" and "decision" by vivinos)

paralleling their young selves and their current selves. young ivan sits with till and happily watches him sing, older ivan stares more seriously at till as they're about to enter the contest, having just made some sort of decision (we don't know what exactly that means yet. to lose? to not compete? to tie? to... win? given his convo with sua that might be the "nicer" option in his mind)

and now the promo art for round 6 dropped, "cure"

its OBVIOUSLY playing on paralleling these shots again. this time it seems to be after till got punished and is asleep or unconscious (or maybe he just has his eyes closed, but i dont think hes awake- he's not the type to be so chill about the face touching)

what if... its also meant to parallel a "future" shot? just like the previous two?

if till ends up dying this round (SAD!) we could end up seeing the second half of it. with ivan's hand on till's corpse. but this is pure conjecture, not super likely. im just saying is all.

#one of the things that made me think this is that ''cure'' isnt a perfect parallel the way the other two are of each other #mostly in the way till is posed with his hair falling back and eyes and mouth closed #in the other two it seems a point to have all these aspects the same in both versions of him (ivan is the one whose expression change tho)#but its still CLEARLY playing off the same concept. so maybe it also has a ''twin''....#if it does happen ill put my head through a wall though for putting the possibility out there #but i dont think its likely its just a concept i thought of when i saw the art and thought of the other art lol #is IS called cure though. maybe till does die but is resuscitated somehow who knows #aliens probably have good medical tech that hyuna stole #also ''cure'' has the red show in ivan's eye while the others dont. inch resting.#i love when the red shows you can really see the ''camera'' inspo lol #alien stage

Why did they give AOS Spock such a bad haircut ?? Where's the pointy fringe? Why is it round?

#before I got properly into Star Trek all I'd watched were the AOS movies #which at the time I thought were fine and good #and I still generally hold that opinion story wise #but now that I've actuall watched TOS and other treks #I am not massive on the casting and costume decisions #Benedict cumberbatch as Khan I do not like. why did they give him a turtleneck??? he looks so lame #and they didn't even do anything interesting with his hair or makeup or whatever #it's straight up just ol Benny in a black turtleneck and normal ass pants #Og Khan's costume was way cooler. but whatever #anyway I don't think AOS Spock looks like Spock. stupid fringe and no eyeshadow???#and Chris pine or whoever plays Kirk (I forget) is kind of completely incorrect and also not right personality wise #but that's being nitpicky I suppose #they aren't bad movies #they're fine to exist on their own #but I do think casting could have been a little better #Simon Pegg as Scotty was perfect though #I love you Simon Pegg #ferry yaps #star trek #Star trek AOS #Star Trek tos

#Takashi Shirogane #Shiro #You're nothingness but shining and everywhere at once.#Allura #The Silver-Haired Princess and Her Silver-Haired Paladin.#Voltron: Legendary Defender #Mine.#I have so many many many thoughts regarding these two.#How both of them were directly victimized by the Galra Empire #and Zarkon #himself #and find themselves in positions of leadership at the forefront of an intergalactic war despite the fact that Allura is a teenaged genocide #survivor who still misses her father and Shiro is a deeply scarred and traumatized pilot-turned-gladiator-against-his-will and neither one #of them have had the space or time to process either of these things.#How differently they handle the immense grief the Galra have caused them.#And that even though they find themselves diametrically opposed to each other's beliefs concerning Ulaz and the Blades they still trust #one another implicitly.#That Shiro looks so much like Alfor it's actually crazy.#How Allura unknowingly made Shiro relive the trauma of losing his crew when she allowed herself to be captured because they're both #inherently self-sacrificing and all-too willing to martyr themselves for the sake of others.#Allura carrying Shiro's essence inside of her before magically transferring it into the clone's body #and how it not only bleached Shiro's hair but is implied to have altered his DNA given his later interactions with the Balmeran crystals #used to power his arm and the Atlas.#That the new arm was Allura's idea and she willingly sacrificed a piece of her heritage for it and for Shiro.#The way they play off of each other when given a moment of levity and all of the potential that was wasted because the writing on this show #is an unbelievably frustrating mess.#In a perfect world where the notorious Season Eight doesn't exist or was competently handled #Shiro is part of Allura's bridal party and the godfather of her and Lance's children.#And he never attempts to dye or change his hair because he loves having a reminder of everything that Allura has done for him and their #importance to and connection with each other readily apparent every time he sees himself in the mirror.

Aaron learning about this is in class (Like I just did) and finally understanding Andrew a little better. Do you think he’d share this tidbit with Andrew? Would it be a conversation where Andrew decides to give a truth about his past to Aaron, telling him what happened? Would Aaron share it with the rest of the foxes (with Andrew’s blessing aka “do whatever you want” type answer when asked if it was okay) when someone starts to rag on Andrew about it, in defense of his brother? Just think of all the internal growth Aaron goes through when he realizes it’s not his fault. What else does he start to rethink and relearn about Andrew? How much closer do you think they get when Aaron realizes it's not out of animosity that Andrew acts the way he does.

I now only accept apologies by way of sweet Twinyard HCs.

Maybe Aaron finds this out and maybe he finds himself watching his brother more. Maybe he starts noticing how sometimes when Andrew is sat with Josten Andrew's eyes are warm and bright and content.

Maybe he listens to what Andrew says and sees what Andrew does more than the way Andrew says it.

I think Aaron would hold onto the information for a while. Maybe just a little bit because he doesn't know how Andrew will react to him going 'you're actually brain damaged not an asshole', maybe it's shame that he had thought his brother a monster, and maybe...maybe it's Aaron wanting to hold onto something only he knows about his brother (eat it Josten).

Then he hears Matt shit talking how Andrew will never make Neil feel loved with the way he talks.

Aaron's been watching, he is DEEPLY aware of his brother's feelings towards Josten, and has unfortunately seen his brother make those feelings quite clear even if his voice never gave anything more than 'phone book read' energy. Josten never needed to know about Andrew's brain damage to understand what Andrew means and realizing that makes him hoarding the information feel stupid (fuck off Josten).

He wants to say something but he did just take that whole 'patient-client confidentiality' ethics bit so he thinks twice. He stands up and goes to see Andrew.

Andrew and Josten are on the couch. Josten's asleep on Andrew's lap, it's domestic in a way that he's learning Andrew can be, and Andrew gives him a look.

Aaron knows if he wakes Josten up this conversation will go worse, "I took a course on brain injuries. I think you damaged your Broca’s area and Wernicke’s area and that's why your voice is like that." he says and Andrew blinks, "Did you ever...did any of them ever...hit your head really hard. Especially on the right side?" and Andrew's silent stare gives no clues but the way his hand curls in Josten's hair like he's the asshole is a preferred teddy bear. "When people bitch about how you can't emote in your speech can I tell them to shut the fuck up?" he asks.

"Do what you want." Andrew says with a shrug.

Aaron pauses before he leaves, "I...I don't think there's anything to fix-"

"I don't need to be fixed." Andrew returns and Aaron sees as Andrew traces his fingers along Josten's burn scar.

Aaron gets the impression that the only person Andrew needs to understand his emotions already does.

It doesn't bother him as much as it would have before he had started watching.

He shuts the door quietly and returns to his own dorm room to slam the door open. He points at Matt who is trying to to choke on the fig newton he'd been in the middle of chewing, "FIRST OF ALL-"
