HongSing/SingHong is so underrated. Both Platonically and Romantically, these two have so much chemistry. They are such an interesting and dynamic pair. The two international rich trading hubs who are rivalling against each other, but are also mutually chill. The ship is so fun but there is little to no content made 😔

Ok so Leon reads to me like he's been DIYing those bangs since the 80s. Well firstly they actually have no canon interaction, I'm basing this entire ship off vibes and irl culture stuff. Here in HK we have memes about hating on SG but it's just business rivalry stuff yknow. They're like enemies and lovers. Simultaneously.

Mostly I like it for the dynamic. SG seems like a someone with a witty or "smart-ass" personality who can also be bold or bossy, but HK is more toned-down and quiet/stoic but still possesses the business smarts and is probably slight annoyed (lovingly) from SG's quipping but he really doesn't mind, and they're like Yin Yang they fill each other's gaps and compliment each other.

Thirdly have you thought about the amount of potential this ship has for AUs. Idc what AU you put this pairing in they will work anyway. I have quite a few fic ideas and began writing them a long time ago but I never got around to finishing them because school workload is trying to crush me

Also I really like the cultural and historical background of this ship, they're both former British colonies and they're two of the four Asian Tigers, they're both finacial centres and both of them have a prominent lifestyle centered around grinding and earning money, and I think these are the things that unite them despite their differences : )

KP duo leave the audience wanting more. Not only is there enough tension between the actors, but KP is also well made, with many scenes shot in location in five-star hotels and high-end restaurants in order to fit the rich powerful setting of the gangsters.

There are many intimate scenes between Mile and Apo. The scale of the scenes is so big that it makes you blush. Since there are a lot of body revealing scenes, Mile and Apo have been working hard in private to maintain their best condition for the drama.

Although the passionate scenes in Kinnporsche are big (there are even nude erotic scenes), Mile and Apo, as professional actors, are not embarrassed and only put their heart and soul into every scene. The resulting scenes are beautiful and are a great addition to the drama.

Not sure if anyone asked this before, but what do you think Yao’s and Taiwan’s western names would be?

Hey! Interesting question; and nope I don’t think I’ve answered one like this.

Yao: I personally can't see him ever adopting one? The only thing I see him doing is "well this is how I want 王耀 romanised and you can spell my name like that in European languages for convenience when you're not using Chinese characters", when there's more sustained contact with European nations in the 17th century, as well as when the hanyu pinyin system of romanisation gets developed by Chinese linguists in the 50s. He's an old and proud empire who was the one exercising cultural dominance for many thousands of years, as I see it, and can be traditional in certain ways, even if he does have his own history of being conquered or otherwise forced to submit to others (i.e the Manchu/Qing conquest of Ming China, the Mongol invasion that led to the founding of the Yuan dynasty). That isn't to say he isn't cosmopolitan and adaptable—I do see him having an affinity for languages and that he learned French and English quite fast from the 18th century onwards—but when it comes to his name, he's simply not adopting a Western one. This is also intended as a contrast to the likes of HK, Macau and also Singapore, all of whom I see having both Chinese and European names (Portuguese for Macau, and Singapore probably has a Malay name too because of his mixed background in addition to his English one.)

Taiwan: I can see her having one, which she especially uses a lot in English-speaking or other European business contexts, alongside her Taiwanese name, but I admittedly haven't thought through what it would be. She does rather have a different view of things from Yao. There’s a certain sort of pridefulness Yao has about seeing himself as the wellspring of culture and civilisation, intertwined with his history of being the empire influencing his neighbour. Whereas for Taiwan, her experience is quite different—a lot of her history involves her being entangled in the power play of other empires (i.e Netherlands, China, Japan, France), so in some ways she sees it as pragmatic and also practical to have another name. It’s a way to move in between worlds and settings—but she’ll definitely use her Taiwanese name too. Like HK, Macau and Singapore, I think she’d choose her current European/Western name herself. Besides her history, it’s a bit of a reflection of how people I know (like my Taiwanese cousin) keep their Taiwanese names but add on a European/Western name for convenience in the present.
