Tragic reunions

Did someone ask for angst?

Oh well.

Lore drop: James was cursed seven years ago after trespassing and stealing from a goblin mage. Within mere hours, his size had grown and he’d gained sharper teeth, claws, and pointed ears. He fled the village, in fear of what could happen to him. He left behind his daughter and his partner without a word. Frank thought he lose his love all those years ago, but we see them now face to face, and Frank doesn’t even realize it yet. He’s in denial: unwilling to face the fact that the “beast” he’d been hunting for nearly 7 years was actually his lost love.

I mentioned I’d left out a huntsman spider I saw in Malaysia in the post below, and here it is! I spotted it on a rock beneath a small cave or overhang while on a night walk.

this one had everything; legspan, “teleportation” speed, and gorgeous colors. didn’t like me very much, though!

if you notice that its left leg 3 is slightly shorter and a different color, that’s most likely because it was lost a few molts ago, but grew back over the course of said molts & is almost good as new.

Jaune: (Grabs her) I GOT YOU!

Trifa: Just... Just leave me...

Jaune: NO! I'M NOT LETTING GO!

Trifa: Our baby needs a father...

Jaune: What... What are you saying... NO!

Trifa: See the sunrise for me, would y- (Suddenly in the air)

Jaune: (Smiles as he falls)

Trifa: JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUNE~!

Jaune: (Hits the rocks, Tumbles down)

Trifa: (Screams at the storm, Sobbing) WHY HIM?! WHY NOT ME?!

hello again my dears... today ill be posting some weevils... but im starting out with this lichen huntsman (Pandercetes sp.)

a nocturnal species that blends in on tree trunks pretty well with its orange and green colouration... theyre also pretty efficient hunters

since theyre nocturnal, the way you spot them in the dark is to hold a flashlight directly beside your eyes and watch for tiny sparkles on trees... very reflective eyes

some huntsman spiders from Malaysia. a couple of these might be the same species of Heteropoda, but nonetheless impressive diversity for a single night’s spidering!

I left out an individual that was rather exceptional & will post that one later!
