Blood Order Allegiances; 1st Arc End

This is the allegiances for Blood Order in the first arc! They hadn't been formed yet at the beginning of the arc, so i thought it worked best to just make an allegiance for the end of the first arc!

The allegiances for Blood Order in the second arc, right before they travel to the lake, are the most important, as those are the cats that are actually going to show up in the plot. But I still felt like I should make this alligiance as well!

Several of the cats in this allegiance are made up/non canon to fill space, and others are from canon Skyclan who joined post Firestar's Quest, and some are cats from canon Bloodclan! but none are the cats that are found in Firestar's Quest, or in RoC's case Ravenscourge's Quest because those are ofc found between the first and second arc!

I have changed many names bec I can, and I'm using this Order as my outlet for silly and unique names! (I may also reuse some of the filler names again for later arcs hehe)

Note: cycle = year, moon = month, Hyrs = Human years; I tried to list the cats under each category in order of oldest to youngest.

2. most annoying ship : m*leven. I am beyond tired of watching a young disabled girl be taken advantage of and have it be treated as romantic. El deserves to live partner free, and M*ke deserves to go in the whole garbage can.

3. second favorite ship : Hollogrove. Since it’s not part of the core hellcheergroveton relationship, I’ll branch out a little and bring in my girl Heather. I love her and Billy I’m a relationship and can totally see them spending the rest of their lives together ♥️

4. favorite platonic dynamic : Billy and Max, or Dustin and Steve. Or Steve and Gareth. Cause I headcanon Gareth as becoming Steve’s caregiver after the events of the show leave him with cognitive and physical disabilities

5. underrated ship : Hollogrove, Cunningway, Pompompineapple, Stonathan, Cheerscoops, Calicheer, Rockie, Stargyle, Cammy, Kegboys, Steather, Argilly, and so many more but I’ll stop there.

6. overrated ship : Any of the fruity four (it makes me wanna gag just typing it) ships. I haven’t looked in the fandom tags for a year because it’s oversaturated with passionless, factory produced, carbon-copy fanworks that look like Harringrove fics put through ai to be rewritten as St*ddie, or Buckleway into r*nance. I’m sick of it. It’s boring. I’ll come up with my own steddie content, thanks.

7. one thing to change in canon : Everything. Not even joking. I’m going blorbo shopping and bringing all my favs back to my dollie house to play fix-it.

8. something canon did right : Um. I guess letting actors put in feedback and details of their own. Like Millie choosing for El to touch Billy’s cheek, Dacre giving us backstory on Billy’s mom and also on Billy’s disability (BPD), both he and Joe Keery refusing the original scripts, Joe Quinn improvising Eddie’s crush on Chrissy, and so on. All of the actor choices are the only good things about the show at this point.

9. a thing I’m proud of creating for the fandom : @disabledbillyandsteveweek! There's more information about the event over on the blog, but basically it’s an event starting in about two weeks meant to highlight Billy and Steve as disabled characters, through all kinds of fan works and different ships!

10. a character who is perfect to me : Christine Renée-Beth Cunningham. Nobody compares to my cheer girl.

11. the most relatable character and why : Also Chrissy. She reminds me a lot of myself, especially how I was when I was still in highschool, being timid and struggling a lot with my mental health. I wish she could have grown and gotten help and felt better since I’m on my journey to doing so right now, but I’m forever grateful to have seen a character with an eating disorder and an abusive family on screen, portrayed in a heartfelt and generous way- all thanks to miss Grace Van Dien

12. character I hate most and why : Neil, Karen (actually just the Wheelers in general except little Holly), Brenner, Owens, the lady that shot Benny, literally so many of them. Anyone who intentionally and unabashedly hurts other characters without remorse.

13. something I’ve learned from the fandom : To be patient, because even when things seem tough or impossible, we can make it. Together, with friends who understand us, and who share our pain, we can fight and keep going! Especially because this community will always have folks who understand and have our backs, we just have to find them ❤️❤️

14. three tags I seek out on ao3 : I actually don’t read fic on ao3. The extreme amounts of severely triggering content hosted on that site is just too much for me and I can never seem to avoid it. I only post to ao3 because I know people find it easily accessible, but I had one too many mix-ups that led to me being in a terrible state of mind, so I discontinued using the site.

15. a song I strongly associate with otp and/or favorite character : I’ll never shut up about “Time in a Bottle” by Jim Croce. Conveniently off the same record as Hop has on Vinyl and Cassette, it’s my favorite song ever because it’s so tender and loving and even though it’s old people music yall should give it a listen. It applies to any ship, but especially packs a punch with Harringrove. Also “Magic” by Olivia Newton-John.

EYYYYMOSTER HIGH IS BACK WITCHESSokay adult enby obcessed with dolls cringe ahead.I am so excited for the return, I LOOOOVE figures and dolls, especially ones centered around monsters and myths, so monster high reels me in like a sucker.I really dont draw many teens, but seeing the new box art for the dolls looking more teenage than mid twenties is actually kinda nice! I like a lot of the changes, Clawdeen, whos just always pretty much the best main character in previous gens, now she's more centeral and main character I'm sooo excited! This design is kinda a combination of her box art and doll art for the new series I love that she has glasses and freckles, and just the cutest little outfit, I did forego the chain on her belt and adding details to her belt but IDC i think ti looks fine without, it was too much for me with the pattern around it, needed to have a diffrent texture between her clothes and belt.Tried to draw her with a more teen body than I typically draw (<5% of my ocs are under 20.) and I'm pretty okay with it, I think maybe her face looks a little aged tho? lacking baby fat? IDK but I'm mostly happy with her, she's just sooo cute. If you're into MH lemme know what your fave character or doll is!! I missed a bunch and I love hearing people talk about things I like that they enjoy. :lmao: (Don't be creepy about lil clawdeen, she is a child.)

How have I never drawn my original bunny waifu in a bunny suit?I asked myself this while browsing my galley so picked her for my first Bunny Suit Art Jam 2022 held by @atomictiki (RIP his tumblr lol)  It's Peridot, the best design and most fun character in Puchi Carat according to me. I tried to mix in some of her original art style in making it a little more anime in the eyes and the white highlight is based directly on how they draw highlights in her official art. Anyway, I quite like this one! Hope I manage to get a couple more done for the month, but I'm taking a short holiday soon so that may interrupt that plan! I'll see what happens.

Okay I got another idea for Bunny suit jam by atomictiki, a character who's been drawn in one a few times, has a figure of her in one too, but I wanted to do some sorta classic anime vibes.

One of my earliest childhood crushes I rememebr is Ryoko Hakubi, I never got far in the anime but she really grabbed my heart with a vice like grip, I love her english dub voice too, that kinda deeper sarcastic sound? love it, it's actually what inspired me to draw Ryoko, the fact that Eda has a simailir voice, caused me to remember my love for Ryoko.

Anpanman Dubbed Specials Ranked

Anpanman is great. Anpan is probably good, I dunno I never had some before anyways. I found the dubbed tv specials for Tubi on a whim so I thought why not? About an hour each, I'll give 'em a try. What followed was an enjoyous week of cute, simple, breezy, and magical superhero adventures. I wish I could see more but it's seriously hard finding anything yet I'm grateful nonetheless. With that said, here be the top ten worst to best specials. Let's go...

Number 10: Revive Banana Island!

Actually the first special I watched and it's terrible, but it's the least impactful of the bunch to me. Queen Banna was just annoying and she hardly makes up for it until the very very end. Baikinman and his crew are kinda just there and Banna sides with him over Anpanman because... reasons. I never knew how to feel about Banna beyond she was just a brat. The fight with the ice demon saved this from being forgettable but this is one I really won't come back to.

Number 9: Apple Boy and Everyone's Hope

The specials are notably like Lupin the 3rd movies where they introduce a new character that's the focal POV and either sides with the MC or is in disbelief like "Who does RedBeanBunHead think he's kidding"? All the specials here have this; Queen Banna in the previous and for this it's the titular Apple Boy (fake name), who's better than Banna but not great. He wants to be a hero but concerns too much about self-image. He's better in that he gets more development over time, especially when him and a farmer apple girl get to plant seeds at night (Heyo!). The witch villain appears out of nowhere and has a worse fight than the ice demon, but it's better in giving our Apply Bapply his time to shine. It's only a couple points ahead of #10 but still not a standout.

Number 8: Nanda and Runda from the Stars of Toys

This here suffers from a weak 3rd act but good 1st and 2nd acts. The escapade through Baikinman's toyland is fun but the final fight against him is forgettable. This is made up with the adventure getting there where Runda and our heroes chase after Baikinman and Nanda who are joint mainly by force. We get a scrap in the desert, a journey through an underground railroad, a chase in the sea, all good stuff. Nanda is a brat but you get it in the beginning and her moment in the final fight makes up for her being a nuisance. Runda is such a bro too, being a real Iron Giant for Creampanda and his friends while chasing Baikinman. It ends on such a sweet note too which is what I love about these specials.

Number 7: Star-Spirited Dollie

This here flips the script where the 2nd act is a hit or miss sandwiched between a good 1st and 3rd act. If you don't like Dollie, you probably won't like the middle of this movie because yeah, she's a brat for most of it even if they express where she's coming from. This is made up with the final fight where it surprised me with how... mortal it got. I like how this made sense with the universe they built and it makes for a very emotional conclusion.

Number 6: The Secret of Fairy Rin-Rin

I think Rin-Rin is more charming than the other oneshot characters and I like that this special is more of a globe trot where we get multiple places to explore and multiple characters to fight. It's a simple story about courage through failures and while I wish the finale didn't feel like a cop out, it overall has more highs than lows. I dunno

Number 5: Purun, The Soap Bubble

I honestly like that this was Creampanda's time to shine, supportive for the bubble musician Purun and showing me why he is courageous and confident despite being the youngest and weakest hero of the squad. Just don't let him sing again, the dub is not the best when it comes to lyrical music. This spoke to me on a personal level because it isn't just about confidence issue, but the fact that your actual hard work comes up short and you feel you can never go bigger; the small accomplishments don't feel like it's enough anymore. I like that this special offers that lesson that good confidence can come from your tinier actions building into something greater; to be appreciative that you can still keep going. This is brought down by a weak final boss like it's just another robot, but the victory is still sweet which always makes up for it. Anpanman specials can have their lackluster moments, but there's always a nice balance.

Number 4: The Adventure of Happie

This spoke to me as it felt like a bonafide Superman story where you know heart & sacrifice are what truly makes the strongest. Happie screws up by joining Baikinman for a moment, but you can see where he's coming from where Happie greatly looks up to Anpanman but didn't get what he saw in the hero that doesn't do so much beat up enemies as he does help people in the everyday. It worked as knowing the ideal from reality, and it still kicked ass when Happie got to save Anpanman during the final boss. This also has the most cringe song by Baikinman I'll probably ever hear. I say cringe in the most unapologetically so bad it's good way. It all just works better than most with how you're with the characters and how much Anpanman can mean a lot to someone.

Number 3: Twinkle! Princess Vanilla of Ice Cream Land

The friendship between Kokin and the Vanilla Princess is what makes this special. I also like that the Princess here isn't made to have an ego about her status but is actually resentful of being princess because she can't live up to the role. So Kokin helps her enjoy life a little, lets her be happy and less stressed out about trying to make ice cream. It's a nice change of pace that makes the final act with her stand out better. Princess Vanilla doesn't reject her responsibilities, she just didn't know why she had them in the first place and it hindered her. I wish I knew who Kokin was more, but we at least know enough for this. The final fight's against Baikinman again but it's a more fun fight where it feels like the princess is truly empowered and gives us a good twist on the victory. This is definitely a more breezy special to get into and with one of the better arcs of these specials.

Number 2: Blacknose and the Magical Song

This was the 2nd special I watched in this marathon and I got to say, this was what hooked me. Kana is a good character with a conflict that actually feels natural given where she starts from. The titular Blacknose felt like a great villain to introduce while still giving Baikinman his devious moments even if he's not the big bad. This all plays to the fairy tale storybook feeling Anpanman overall works best with. Kana's rejection of the more happier life everyone has makes sense given what she's raised to believe and it works when that heart of stone slowly break. Melonpanna is to Kana what Kokin is to Princess Vanilla, but that redemption for Kana boosted this to being a more memorable story. All this with the 2nd best final boss fights where they actually incorporate the Anpanman march in a way that fit amazingly with the story. Plus it's the special where the dubbed singing isn't that bad, so this made the finale all the more impactful. These specials have always been not about good vs evil, but kindness over cynicism, negativity, and this perfectly exemplified that. Visually and emotionally, this is where I came to like Anpanman. Number one though is where I came to understand.

Number 1: Shine! Kulun and the Stars of Life

I had a feeling this was the best for last and I was not off. This was the special where I felt everything came together. It wasn't just Anpanman vs Baikinman, but the legacies of their many battles before. It wasn't just about a new character figuring themselves out again, but what does everyone see in Anpanman that they want to inherit themselves. It wasn't just about purpose, but the spirit that can come with it. This was the most adventurous special of the bunch, a good mix between relaxing interactions on Earth and a sincere, determined quest when we finally get to outer space. There was a real sense of finality where even if things would return back to a more episodic state, it shared the essence of what makes Anpanman such a mainstay, a classic hero that soared for this long, the most popular and profitable icon in Japan. He'll always be a hero to believe in because he smiles on for us.

It's genuinely hard to find Anpanman media online, especially since I'm a weak Yankee no less that they probably crackdown on pirated episodes and movies harder than most anime. But thanks to tubi, I was able to find a new appreciation for this everlasting series. I could definitely see why Takashi Yanase, at one of the lowest points of his life, would want Anpanman to be real. These specials brought a good joyous feeling whenever I watched them, cringe dub aside, and I truly got the simple yet inspiring reasons why this hero is what he is and why everyone loves him for it.

1: Talk about the first time you watched your favourite movie.

I don't necessarily remember first watching my favourite movies, as they are mostly ones I watched as a kid.

The Sound of Music we always watched at my grandparents house. They also had an animated version of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe which terrified me, so much that I wouldn't watch BBC series for ages when it came out. When I finally did watch it, it became a favourite. Mary Poppins, The Wizard of Oz, I don't remember watching either of them for the first time. Hello Dolly we had taped off the TV on VHS, but we had missed the whole opening song, so until about 5 years ago I didn't even know the first song existed.

I honestly don't believe any movie I have seen as an adult has become a favourite movie of mine.

8: Talk about the thing you are most proud of.

The creative work I did at my previous church.

I put together, choreographed and taught a 'Sister Act' flashmob to a group of about 30 people of all ages and abilities from across three different services and we performed it once in a local mall, and once at the opening of the new church building, in front of various MP's, and church ministers and the moderator of UCSA.

I also wrote a two act Christmas play which I also acted in, directed, costumed and choreographed. It was called "Lights, Christmas, Action" and it was a play within a play following a group of dysfunctional theatre types. It was performed over three nights, I had two different actors playing my Joseph as one couldn't make one performance and I hadn't started writing Act 2 when we started our 6 weeks of intense rehearsals. I pulled my cast, aged 14-80, from all over the place, some from the church, some friends from dance, choir, uni, and some from other churches and they all worked incredibly hard to get their lines, choreography and lyrics right.

It was a huge success with people from the community and people who had never even set foot inside a church coming to see it, some of them multiple times. One of which gave $100 for his second ticket, because 'he enjoyed it so much the first time, and that was what he thought the show was worth'. We had a sausage sizzle before every show, I had my first real boyfriend, and a cast who just worked so well together to make it a success. We had a rule that if your phone went off in rehearsal you had to bring cake to the next rehearsal, but they then would spend the first 5 minutes of every rehearsal pranking each other to ensure someone brought cake. We had a few LONG sunday rehearsals from 2-9 where we stopped and someone provided dinner.

I would LOVE to put this on again, But not be in it this time. The part I played was the director of the play within the play and i had originally written it with someone else in mind, But despite my pleading she wouldn't do it and I didn't have enough time to find someone I trusted enough with such a crucial role. I don't think I did it well and I think I would prefer to just focus on directing the actual play. There are definitely a few things I would change if I was to do it again, casting, and a bit of a re-write in a few clunky places, but as someone who hasn't felt much success in 'LIFE' this absolutely was something I was and am proud of.

Miss Astra Heights!

1) I cannot even begin to describe how lethally cute a kid Astra was. Small, wrapped in her father’s reds, and a huge fan of dollies.

2) Astra HATES getting dirty (I mean duh look at her) but traveling and seeing Sandrine’s family usually necessitates it. It is 50/50 that if you see her close to mud either her wife carries her or she is hovering a bit. 

3) Largely not religious, she does tip her hand to the Raven Queen...but when Sandrine went missing she became a devout follower and even made her wife’s would be tomb into a small temple to the Goddess. They mourned the loss together in a way. 

4) She is not actually King Lionel Height’s daughter! (Gasp!) meaning she tech has no bloodright claim to the Height’s throne legitimately. Hughes is her bio father, a fact she did not find out until she was older and ended her mother’s banishment. 

5) Her and Sandrine get married soon after Lionel is killed. She chose to say fuck tradition and made her Queen as well instead of consort. It is important to her that Sandrine rules with the same power as she did as much to overthrow the previous ruler. 

6) Astra’s memories of her father are mostly post-madness because of his rage but she does have a few of a quieter and more haunted man. 

7) The rage is a constant thrum in the chest asking for war and blood. She hid from the public eye for about a month letting Sandrine and Hughes be the face of the rebellion while she learned how to control it. 

8) The only time she raged is when news came that Sandrine’s team had been found dead and her wife missing. A member of the council thought betrayal and that did it. 

9) While Hughes is her father, their relationship changed very little after she learned the truth. It is a complicated thing that works for them...but some say the Queen does enjoy a quiet evening with the General.

Day 54 8/20/2021

Heyyyy you! Yeah you! Want to hear what I did today?

Okay cool. So today we had our weekly call with Katie. Later in the morning we headed on a walk on North Beach toward Strawn. On the way, we changed our SD card at our bird caller (it plays 5 different calls of extirpated birds plus a Dolly Parton song which will hopefully attract Dolly herself;) but actually someone just added that to the mix to be silly….I will say it’s pretty funny walking on a really quiet night and all you here is Dolly in the distance) and checked on another one of our decoy colonies where we also switched out the SD card in the game camera. Nearby, we also checked on our Premna grove which is a native tree that is very rare on Palmyra. So, once a month we give it a checkup to see how it’s doing. On the way back, we stopped at our Heliotropium natural nursery on the beach to see how our little baby sprouts are doing. They looked pretty good but are still very very teeny tiny.

In the afternoon, we headed to Paradise Island to check on yet another one of our decoy colonies which was looking very precarious. Thank goodness our CMO trainer spotted it so we could go out and rescue our precious wooden bird babies. When we arrived we saw we were only missing 3 decoys. Yahoo! Luckily, there was a spot nearby that was much more sheltered by young heliotropium and naupaka (yay for erosion control). So we collected our decoys and moved them on over. We were also able to easily move our game camera so that it can capture the new area in the event some new birdies come by!

After work, I took a dip in the swimming hole, hopped in the shower, ate some din din, and headed to beddy boo.

hi pals! we’re back with a marley mae revamp! our favorite lil cowgirl is getting the makeover she deserves, so let’s get started, shall we?

before we get too into it, though, we have a stats page and a pinterest (which is also getting a revamp before too long bUT...i digress).

lil tw moment: abuse, alcohol, drug, death mention tws. per usual, i went a little heavy on the tws just to be safe! 

- marley mae buckley was born june 13th, 1994 to finnegan and shailene buckley.

- her father is a chief exec at an oil company and her mother was a stay at home mom and socialite, the latter of which she preferred.

- the family moved to billings, montana shortly after marley was born so her father could be more involved with work. this meant her mother had more time on her hands and more time to attempt to mold marley into the perfect daughter.

- except marley liked dirt, climbing tress, and pretending to ride the family dog like a rodeo bull.

- needless to say that did not go well????

- substance abuse tw early in marley’s life, her mother mixed prescription pills and pinot, which only made the tension between the two more intense. 

- abuse tw baby marls never understood why her mother would want to self medicate, essentially checking out and missing a majority of her only child’s life, until one night after her father came home after a day of ‘meetings’. smelling like expensive scotch and cigar smoke, marley saw her father hit her mother for the first time.

-  abuse tw she didn’t witness the actual abuse often, but marley started noticing the signs more and more often. bruises around wrists, large sunglasses when it wasn’t sunny out, concealer caked around her eyes and jaw. for a while, she begged her mother to take her and leave, but marley’s mother refused - firm in her belief that she wouldn’t be able to make it on her own.

- so they endured. more often than not, marley’s mother took her pain and frustration out on her daughter. it didn’t take long for marley’s parents toxicity to turn her into an angry, resentful person. marley was around 8 when she started acting out - “accidentally” breaking things around the house, saying out of pocket things at her father’s work events or fancy dinner parties. marley was 10 the first time she left home and didn’t come back for hours on end, only to come back and realize no one had really noticed she was gone.

- when she was about 13, marley really started acting out and rebelling. she started hanging out with a rougher group of kids who were significantly older than her. even though she never took part in the more intense stuff, marley did manage to get herself into some trouble that finally managed to catch her parents’ attention.

-  one night, while out with that older, rougher group of friends, marley was arrested for a destruction of property charge. since she was a minor, her parents were called immediately and, after making a sizable donation to billings pd, made the whole thing go away.

- officially done dealing with marley and the whole “mothering” of it all (if you can call it that), her parents shipped her back to their hometown of big timber to live with her paternal grandparents.

- she tried to run away a few times (even going so far as to steal her grandfather’s work truck - even tho she didn’t get far because she didn’t know how to drive stick yet) because rebellious, but after paw made her stay and help one of their cattle give birth, marley fell in love.

- marley fell in love with every animal on the ranch - all their quirks and distinct personalities. it quickly became the home marley’d never had. it was warm and loving and full of joy and life. her grandparents became the only parents she’d ever really known.

- they were the only reason marley agreed to go back to her parents. they’d made a deal that if she behaved at “home”, she’d be able to spend the rest of her summers at the ranch.

- so marley went back to her parents and did the dance classes, and dinner parties, and even did the whole debutante thing and “came out” to society.

- at 16 she petitioned to be emancipated and a judge granted said petition. she promptly moved into the renovated barn at the ranch that her grandparents had rented out while she finished school.

- marley ended up graduating early and began attending classes at the local community college, eventually getting her associates in science all while still working on the ranch when she could.

- at 19, marley began classes at montana state, majoring in microbiology as a pre-vet track.

- death tw shortly after she finished her first year at msu, marley found out her mother passed unexpectedly. when she went to attend the services, her father effectively disowned her (even though they hadn’t spoken in years) and blamed her for her mother’s issues and death.

- marley came back to the ranch more depressed than she’d ever been and instead of dealing with the hurricane of emotions she felt, marley dropped out of school and ran

- marley drove all along the west coast, eventually settling on a cattle farm in texas.

- there, marley met literally the worst thing to ever happen to her. only a month or two after settling in texas, marley started dating wade because mess attracts mess. duh. his parents owned the farm she was working on and he gave her attention. that’s it. that’s all it took.

- abuse tw it didn’t take long for the gas lighting, lying, and cheating to start. a short six months into their relationship was when the physical abuse started. growing up, she’d always told herself that she’d never allow a man to treat her the way she’d watched her father treat her mother - that she’d be stronger than her mother and leave after the first time. finally, though, marley realized the battle her mother had fought to endure all those years of abuse and just how hard it was to muster the courage to leave. 

- to this day, marley carries around the guilt of spending years blaming her mother for being weak and missing the opportunity to apologize while she was still alive.

- eventually paw caught on and WASN’T having any of it. so he snuck down with maw in the middle of the night while wade was out on a bender and packed marley’s shit and took her back home to the ranch like the knight in shining armor that man is.

- two years of animal therapy and literal therapy, marley applied to finish her bachelors in chicago after maw suggested it. she was accepted and once again left her home behind, but this time it was to chase her dream and we’re all v proud.

- she’s been at the mlanati now for two years and has finished her bachelors and is a certified vet tech. she’s currently in her last year of undergrad and is getting ready to start applying to vet schools officially.

- marley is a jeeple. she owns a 2008 black jeep wrangler x. 100% named it ringo. definitely has a black jeep of the family bumper sticker and let me tell you, this girl is SO proud.

- y’all will never catch this girl in shoes. she will start the day in shoes and by the time lunch rolls around she’s barefoot. the only pair of shoes she enjoys wearing are her justin boots or her vvv worn out vans. 

- she knits when she’s anxious, which is more often than not now that she’s in a new place. but it also means she’s giving out cute lil beanies and scarves to her new frens.

- loves and i mean LOVES westerns. tombstone and gunsmoke were staples growing up.

- also probably the worlds biggest dolly parton fan. if it involves dolly, marley is in.

- ALIENS, MAN. your girl loves aliens and most space things. roswell (the og and new shows) are her jam bc...y’know....cowliens.

- she has three tattoos: some wildflowers on her upper left ribs, “worthy” in her grandpa’s handwriting on her upper right forearm, and the silhouette of big timber peak at the nape of her neck.

- marley is also one of those people that doesn’t need a ton of sleep? 4-5 hours max and she’s golden.

- cold brew coffee also runs through her veins. her coffee order is a trenta cold brew with hazelnut and almond milk, thanks. it’s also probably one of the reasons she never stops moving....ever.

- big time questioning her sexuality. marley’s only ever been with men, but uuuuuhhhhh WOMEN y’know? also nb folx are v nice. we do not discriminate in this house.

- 2 cats! doc (7 y/o himalayan long hair) and ike (2 y/o munchkin). both rescues she met while volunteering at a shelter.

- will always make time to take a dance class or book space to just dance all her feelings out. it’s one of the few joys she has that comes without feelings of pressure or stress. 

- holds most  people at arms length. she’s more than happy to listen and support everyone around her, but is a literal steel trap when it comes to talking about herself and her past.

- alcohol/drugs tw not a drinker. buckley’s don’t have a great track record of being able to handle their liquor (never let her do shots pls), so marley sticks to the occasional blunt. esp when she’s feeling extra anxious, it calms her down and evens her out.

- she do be jumpy af! loud noises (that don’t obviously come from animals) make her anxious and shaky. it’s the *pTsD*.

- marley’s triggers include but are not limited to: grabbing her face/chin, breaking glass, loud noises - specifically yelling, general violence, the smell of vodka or scotch and cigar smoke, being grabbed from behind/picked up without warning.

- travel pals! : people marley met on her trip from montana to texas! she wouldn’t have stuck around long, but she was a hot ass mess and these would have been people who met her at p close to her lowest? so seeing her at the malnati would be like meeting a whole new person. she’ll probs be hella flustered and embarrassed so, like, we love that.

- hype squaaaaaad! : marley’s self esteem is still.........nonexistent, almost. she’s all about giving the love, but is the worst at accepting it, so obviously we need someone to shove all the love and positive affirmations her way! help ya girl see her worth!

- post hook ups! : likely only one or two! marley isn’t one to hook up unless she’s feeling pretty awful about her self and needs some instant validation. can be awkward or cordial! i’m down to plot specifics!

- crushes! : unrequited or nah (lbr i’d live for unrequited pls) male, female, nb - gimmie it all! babie is ready to give all the love....kinda. from afar. bc trauma. bUT!!! leggo. lololol.

- confidant! : literally probably the only connection that’s limited to one person. they know eeeeverything. every horrid, gruesome detail about marley’s past and all her insecurities. they could be someone that met her when she was on her way to texas/she met in texas or someone she met after and got to witness one of her panic attacks post texas. aka the one person she trusts most.

For most part! I’d just rather wish I wasn’t transported in a coffin...

2. Wonderful! All students here must choose one of the seven dormitories to reside in during the school year. Which one do you choose? Why?

If I had the capabilities, I would’ve gone for Savanaclaw 100%. However, I am certain I would die within the first week, so I’m actually gonna choose Scarabia! i just think it’s a very fun dorm to live in, and I would absolutely try to ride on a flying carpet. 

3. Now that you’re officially a student, what would you like to learn first?

Definitely Potions! 

4. I’ll leave you to settle in now. Before I go, do you have any questions about the college?

Probably Kalim! I can imagine myself having the most fun with him, especially knowing that he would be my dorm head.

Honestly, as much as I love him and his story arc, I would probably have to refuse whatever he proposes. I can see him trying to make a contract with me in exchange for something to improve on my education or talents, but I feel like if I were to accept his offer, then I would just forget to fill my end of the bargain and lose everything in the process :(.

7. Which of the boys are you friends with? Why?

Floyd because he’s fun despite his unpredictability. Also Kalim as well because he’s also fun, and Cater because he’s laid back.

8. C’mon, we all know everyone at the school is attractive. Is there someone (or more) you’re crushing on?

I’m definitely lying if I said I didn’t have a huge small crush on Leona. As The Twisted Wonderland wiki describes it, “Leona has great respects for every women.”

9. The hallways are a terrifying place to be after hours. Who’s the last person you wanna be out there with?

Definitely Mozus. Just... anybody but him.

10. Would you rather listen to Jamil’s puns, work at the Mostro Cafe with Jade and Floyd, or clean the dungeons with Lilia?

While I feel like I can handle Jamil’s puns, I would actually prefer to work at the Monstro Cafe - gotta find a way to earn money to spend on things like the school store. If Azul even gives out paychecks.

11. Everyone loves karaoke night at the Cafe! Do you sing? If so, which song would be your go-to?

I DEFINITELY am more on the shyer side when it comes to karaoke. I’d probably do it if I had multiple friends, but it definitely takes more for me to do it by myself. If I did do it, my go-to would probably be “9 to 5″ by Dolly Parton.

It depends - Are we talking pre-Overblot disaster or post-Overblot. I feel like I would be more obligated to go to one of Riddle’s tea parties if it took place after the events of Episode 1.

Yes and no. On one hand, as someone with great eyesight. I trust that he will know when the arrow is aimed lower than it should be. On the other, I have a fear that he might “accidentally” aim lower should I piss him off that day...

Doggo Timeline

Following up on this ask about if Trixie ever gets to retire, I thought I’d just create a short timeline of all the dogs and there time with Virgil.

Timeline:

Virgil gets Dolly

Virgil: 14; Dolly: 2

Dolly is actually fully trained (for the most part). She already knows the majority of the skills and tasks she needs, but still needs to connect to Virgil and learn his specific cues for tasking.

Dolly gets cancer

Virgil: 17; Dolly: 5

Virgil is told she can still work, but they don’t know how long and that he should start looking for a new dog, because even if Dolly lives for another 3-5 years, its probable she’ll only get 2-3 years max of work before needing to be retired.

Virgil gets Trixie

Virgil: 17/18; Dolly: 5/6; Trixie: 9/10 weeks

Dolly is retired, Trixie takes over

Virgil: 19; Dolly: 7; Trixie: 1/2

Trixie takes over at a very young age, and admittedly, makes quite a few mistakes in this time. Virgil was aware that this would probably be the case because of how quickly things sorta moved with Dolly being retired and Trixie taking over. Their second year together (Virgil’s first year in college) is a lot better.

Dolly passes away 

Virgil 19/20; Dolly: 8/9; Trixie is 2/3

Dolly actually passes away during Virgil’s second month in college, shortly before meeting Patton for the first time. This was very very hard for him to say the least. Dolly gave Virgil back a sense of safety and security, and her passing away only 2 months into a HUGE new life experience for him was very trying. It was already hard enough leaving her behind when he left for college.

Virgil gets Kit

Trixie is retired, Kit takes over

Virgil: 28; Trixie: 11; Kit: 2/3

Kit ended up almost washing out and for a solid amount of time Virgil thought he’d probably have to find a new dog. It was nothing against Kit, he was a great pup, but he really struggled to get Virgil’s cues down and was always missing his cues to task. He was really good at responding to Virgil when Virgil actually used commands, but that wasn’t enough and Kit wasn’t getting better at it. 

But, eventually, one day, things just seemed to click for Kit, and all worked out. Virgil was absolutely ecstatic because he’d already fallen in love with this pup, but knew he needed a dog he could not only love, but also trust. 

Trixie passes away

Personality: Sarcastic, dry sense of humour, intelligent, open, cheerful, charming, happy to help if she believes you are good for the world and her, sexually open. Trusts her gut feelings and easily becomes mistrustful; particularly after almost being murdered (you have to be or you’ll end up in a shallow grave), gets a thrill from stealing & finds it too hard to stop.                                   ______________________ Other info: Adores ED-E. Cried for a week after the Lonesome Road and wishes she could go back and blow everyone up to try to save ED-E #2 (Even though this doesn’t actually work in the game, you sadly lose the little dude no matter what you chose). Has Raul set up a long range radio receiver on ED-E #1, so she can find new radio stations because if she hears ‘Johnny Guitar’ just 1 more time she’ll kill someone. Loves travelling with Raul. He’s non-judgemental, funny, and she loves his Vaquero outfit. He helps her with her Spanish & repair skills, she helps him feel useful again. They make a great team of gunslingers. Raul moves from his cabin to live in Jacobstown in one of the spare cabins. Dolores is so happy she gets to visit Lily AND Raul when she visits Jacobstown. After Hoover Dam Doores is given one of the cabins meaning she can stay whenever she likes. Misses her ‘Grandma’ Lily and visits often when she feels it’s safe enough to return to the Mojave. Travelled with Boone to REPCONN but was terrified he’d kill her if he found out about her and Vulpes/The Legion, so let him return to Novac. Travelled with Veronica for a while. After returning from the Sierra Madre she tells Veronica about Christine, and together they return to the hotel so Veronica and Christine could be reunited. Knows she’s playing a dangerous game with the Legion and worries she’ll end up enslaved, and knows one day she’ll have to betray them. She is terrified of losing Vulpes or worse, that he’ll kill her or she’ll have to try to kill him. Tells Vulpes of her concerns re: Legate Lenius and begs Vulpes to leave the Legion & California before he’s murdered by Lenius. Vulpes disappears before the battle at Hoover Dam. 8 months later, Dolores can be seen travelling with a blond haired man and ED-E (the Playing Card set you can get from the Special edition has Vulpes with blond hair so this is why I h/c him bleaching his hair at the end as part of his disguise). Greatly enjoys being a Courier. She loves to explore and see other lifestyles and meet new people. The events of New Vegas take their toll on Dolores and she can feel her normally cheerful personality being whittled down. She becomes short tempered and judgemental, resorting more and more to violence. To try to temper this she spends time talking with Arcade. She knows how he feels about her affiliation with the Legion and is glad he still keeps friendly with her (despite declining to travel with her). Whenever she’s in Freeside or nearby, she makes a point to visit the Followers to not just add to her medical skills, but to spend time with those worse off than her so she can see how others are affected by the Legion & NCR. This helps her make up her mind to go with Yes Man.

hey hope!! i’ve completely run out of things to watch recently and was wonderinf if you had any recs of movies and tv shows??

It’s your lucky day because I have found myself in a hole of watching many new things lately that I’ve more or less found enjoyable so hopefully you will too? lol

1. Russian Doll:  Nadia, a young woman who is on a journey to be the guest of honor at a party in New York City. But she gets caught in a mysterious loop as she repeatedly attends the same event and dies at the end of the night each time – only to awaken the next day unharmed as if nothing had happened.

(I know I’m late to the party with that one, but it is quite literally one of the best comedy-dramas I’ve seen in a long while, not to mention Natasha Lyonne, the ultimate babe, stars in it. It is, blatantly, obvious that the script was written by women (thank god) and it has a cool, mind-trip twist at the end that’ll have you guessing what actually was happening the entire time. Super easy to binge!! 10/10)

2. Perfume:  When a woman is found murdered with scent glands excised from her body, a detective probes a group of friends who attended boarding school with her.

(A German mystery-crime-thriller that is way too convoluted and intertwined to know the real culprit of the grisly yet complex murders until the few minutes of the last episode. It has an incredibly intriguing script with intricate details and dialogue. Pleasantly surprised by how solid the entire storyline and characters were. TW though!! There are scenes of obscene sex, implied rape, domestic abuse, and sexual assault. So be careful if those things trigger you. Watching it in German with English subtitles is the way to go, though. Trust me.)

3. Handsome Devil:  Two opposites, a loner and the top athlete become friends at a rugby-obsessed boarding school, and the authorities test their friendship.

(An irish coming-of-age LGBT film that, again, pleasantly surprised me with how well it was executed underneath the guise of an overly cliche storyline. It’s winning, compelling, and quite moving with how it tackles individuality in teens. It’s just a great film that takes tropes and turns them on their head by transforming the characters in their own way. Not to give too much away but the talk one of the boys have with the English professor on the rugby field at night is so, so important as an open dialogue.) 

4. Dumplin’:  The plus-size, teenage daughter of a former beauty queen signs up for her mum’s pageant as a protest that escalates when other contestants follow in her footsteps, revolutionising the pageant and their small Texas town.

(As you can probably guess this film is an emotionally-impactful conversation about self-acceptance that rides on the back of societal expectations of young women all tied together in a very heart-warming coming-of-age drama. Also there’s loads of Dolly Parton music. What else is there to say)

5. The Lobster:  In a dystopian society, single people must find a mate within 45 days or be transformed into an animal of their choice.

(Isn’t a new watch, but I was reminded of it recently. Just an extended Black Mirror episode, pretty much. It’s odd. It’s bizarre. It’s engaging. It’s a lot of things, and they are great.)

6. Shirkers:  In 1992 teenager Sandi Tan shoots Singapore’s first road movie with her enigmatic American mentor, Georges, who then absconded with all of the footage. The 16 mm film is recovered 20 years later, sending Tan, who is now a novelist living in Los Angeles, on a personal odyssey in search of Georges’ footprints.

(One of my favorite documentaries I’ve seen in a while, mainly because it doesn’t exactly feel like a documentary. It feels like you’re privvy to the incredibly frustrating, disheartening, and determined story of friendship, women-bound creativity, youth, and dishonesty when it comes to the mystery of where and why Georges disappeared. It’s also empowering in a way to see the transition of these young women reclaiming their lives after such betrayal.)

7. Grace & Frankie:  For as long as they can recall, Grace and Frankie have been rivals. Their one-upmanship comes crashing to a halt, however, when they learn that their husbands have fallen in love with each other and want to get married. As everything around the ladies is coming apart, the only thing they can really rely on is each other.

(I’ve been living under a rock, sue me. This show is fanfuckingtastic. Just watch it. Just binge it. Just do it.)

8. Voyeur:  Gay Talese investigates Gerald Foos, a Colorado motel owner who spies on his guests. Using a carefully constructed platform in the motel’s attic, Foos documents his guests most private moments, from the mundane to the shocking.

(Just a frustratingly and horrifyingly sad and strange recollection of two men who act as an incredibly interesting character study if nothing else. Recommend)

9. Some Freaks:  A charming romance develops between a boy with one eye and an overweight girl, though when she loses her weight after going to college, their relationship is tested in devastating ways they never dreamed would happen.

(….. I still don’t know how I feel about this movie. I’ve watched it twice, once alone and once with a friend, and I’m still conflicted on my lasting thoughts about the film and its message. It’s definitely something I suggest watching, at least, to come to your own conclusions about how it made you feel. It’s just. uncomfortable in the strangest of ways, and I just need more people to converse about it with lmao)

10. The Kindergarten Teacher:  A teacher sees such great promise in her 5-year-old student that she goes to unreasonable lengths to protect his talent.

(I watched this film on a whim one day while off from work, and I was pleasantly surprised by its depth and heartbreaking tendencies. This film does not evoke anything but unsettled feelings and yearning for both the young boy and the teacher. Many people tend to gloss over the fact that this film does so much more than its superficial narrative. it opens such a bigger conversation into what absence and neglect of personal creativity and art through someone’s marriage and family can cause them to in-turn have an unhealthy obsession with wanting to keep a child’s love/talent for art alive. Haunting but great film.)

11. Mr. Roosevelt:  A struggling LA-based comedian goes home to Austin, Texas, when a family member becomes ill and finds herself in the awkward position of staying with her ex and his amazing new girlfriend.

(Friend found this hidden-gem on Netflix, and it’s such a quirky, comforting, easy-watch that I miss a lot in indie films. It’s progressive and weird in all the right ways, and it leaves you with a cozy feeling inside once the film reaches its end.)

12. Queer Eye Season 3

(You know the drill just more feel-good reality-television makeover that makes all of us a little bit happier about humanity’s ability to be kind)

13. Happy Anniversary:  On their three-year anniversary, Molly and Sam are at a crossroads and need to decide whether to move forward or call it quits.

(Another hidden gem found on Netflix that I ended up thoroughly enjoying. It comes across as a real, genuine, non-exaggerated look at the inside of a couple’s relationship. It’s candid, fun, witty in dialogue, and heartwarming towards the end. I’ll admit I got a bit misty eyed at 1 AM lol also the dude who plays jean-ralphio is one of the mains so c’mon.)

14. Class Rank:  When her class rank threatens her college plans, an ambitious teen convinces a nerdy peer to run for the school board to abolish the ranking system.

(Listen up, I watched this film because I was under the impression that it was going to be a b-rated teen film I could be amused by, but it ended up being a sorta cute story that I enjoyed a lot more than I probably should’ve RIP. Give it a shot).

15. Cam:  A camgirl has her principles, until a mysterious woman who looks just like her takes over her channel.

(Don’t take the general critic review to heart and watch the film, yourself. It’s. a ride. It definitely gave me chills as much as it made me uncomfortable. A thriller with twists and uneasiness at every corner. Just a real creepy look into AI, especially in industries like the camgirl industry. I do want the girl’s play dungeon tho rip)
