I just don't understand how anyone can see Ianto as a soft little guy who's scared of his own shadow and constantly needs to be wrapped in warm blankets - he flirts his way into Torchwood 3 to save his gf by any means necessary, keeps the most convincing poker face the entire time, and after having all his hopes destroyed not only does he stick around, he starts going out hunting aliens with them to save the world, he stands up to his own teammates when he needs to, he is determined and strong and keeps going no matter how often he gets hurt. With everything going on his head other people wouldn't even get out of bed anymore in the morning but HE KEEPS GOING and fights his demons and if that isn't strong I don't know what is.

Can we just talk about this for a moment?

We saw the rise of Glasses!Carlos with the Katie Cat kidnapping case (say that ten times fast). And while they continue to make appearances when Carlos is playing the world’s best armchair detective (and when he’s casually reading), even with his complaints about chronic eye strain, we’ve only seen him whip out the glasses in the comfort of his own home. With TK.

Yes, Carlos has been in full Detective Reyes mode all day, trying to track down Marjan. And while that probably involved the return of screen fatigue, what with all the phone maps and laptop police reports, so did scrubbing all that surveillance footage hunting for Owen’s stalker. We didn’t see Carlos in glasses in those scenes with Sadie, even at the loft, but we do here — in a hospital waiting room, with the entire 126 crew. That could be because, much like bringing enough tacos to feed everyone, he’s finally secure enough in his place within this family to show them this side of himself — the Clark Kent instead of the Superman. It could be because they’ve become a full extension of TK in his head — TK, who’s out like a light with Carlos as a pillow, just like he does at home. It could be because he’s just that tired. But it feels like A Decision, whether it’s conscious or not.

Whatever the reason, it’s precious.

I imagine the turtles spend a lot more time in the Hidden City after the events of the Rise movie. They saved the city, but unfortunately it's hard to explain that to a terrified New Yorker who saw Raphael covered in purple tentacles and in full rampage mode. Not that the city above ground was ever particularly friendly to them in the first place.

Things have eased up on Raphael, these days. Leonardo has taken up the mantle of leader, and as Raphael turns 18 and reaches adulthood he paradoxically has a lot less responsibility. He still fusses over his brothers relentlessly, of course, but... The weight of the world on his shoulders lifts, and the difference in pressure is enough to unbalance him. As he refinds his footing in the world, he's almost giddy.

what i think i love about disco elysium fic, specifically AU fic, is that you can write harry with the utmost sincerity in literally any universe. this man started his story being dropped into a world he didn’t know and just going with it, and you can absolutely do that to him again. coffee shop au? fuck yeah man, let harry burn himself on the coffee maker and not know what a javaccino is. college au? sure, he’s a criminal justice major on a scholarship. he can be whatever. you can imprint on this character whatever you want. this man is putty that you can stick to a newspaper and just rip some words off and bada bing bada boom, that’s harry du bois! That’s tequila sunrise! unreliable narrator how abbout unreliable protagonist baybeeeeeee!!!!
