Transitus Comic Studies

These were meant to be colored but alas. Faulty art supplies. Still like these sketches though! They’re lifted from the OG comic book. The idea was to only use direct poses and scenes from the source material and try to infuse some more productive character design into them.

Focus on status of a given character (and changes in it) and some stronger air of historical reference, kept as far away from my own personal head canons of the characters and their backstories as possible.

Really had fun with these. Great figure practice ✏️

cannot resist using the polls to make up a little collaborative story lol.. Not sure how much I can keep it up with my low energy/health problems lol, but I'll try to draw a new picture (+ write a small text blurb and new action options to vote on) each day based on the past day's results, at least for a while. Kind of like a 'sketch a day' type challenge, except story based with votes choosing what happens next. :0

#trusty old MSpaint.. the best program for very quick sketches lol #also I'm sure other people have already done this - even though I havent seen it I know its out there. If there's currently #some really popular story poll going around or soemthing I'm not trying to copy anyone. i just love things like this and do them #whenever possible (collaborative stories with friends on social media messages. making little text adventure games #in forums. etc. etc.). Immediately once I saw the poll feature I was like OH!!! Accidentally clicked to hide a layer group instead of my single handwritten text layer (I’m adding actual text stuff rn for this page) and this looks… fascinating. Anyways I’m working on this comic (the miwi one- “Best Friends” aka the one with like 25 pages) again. I think I’m going to end up posting five pages next instead of ten because there is a point where I can split it up that’s mostly okay. So I’ve got like 1/5 pages done right now. These five pages are specifically the pages I’ve been avoiding because… they’re the ones I sketched out with the intention of “figuring it out later” and well. It’s later now. And they’re gonna get weird because that’s what I do when I get stuck and don’t want to do something. I make it weird and fun for me to make. That’s why the tiny wills are scattered over this page. Anyways, this page just looks really different without the panels and text boxes and I thought it was neat !
