#I clearly have an agenda

@fatherforgivethem has infected me with thoughts of Aegon/Helaena/Aemond and their kids, and I have an idea, and I sorta mentioned it in my last HC post, but I just need it out of my skull for the sake of my well-being

the parents taking the kids to courts/dinners/events.

an agreement that if the kids fuss or ask for them to a certain point, they be brought to either of them, no matter what they're doing, if they're in front of a lord or nobleman or one of the god forsaken Seven. they will always come before the court, who can blame them for wanting some sort of out.

Jaehaera being brought to Aegon during one the few court meetings his mother actually got him to attend, meaning he can't leave, even for his daughter, or his head will end up on a spike. so instead she insists she will be quiet, taking his sniffling baby girl into his arm, assuring the nobles that he's listening and that she won't spill any of their secrets, cooing at her a little, while walking off s bit to the side. he rocks her till she's mostly asleep before returning to his place at the table, not sitting down, but rocking back and forth in front of his seat. he's kissing her forehead and stroking a finger over her little nose and chubby cheeks, smoothing her hair. he's so clearly infatuated with her and it catches everyone's attention. her presence also seems to make him act a bit wiser, like a proper prince, so he's loving on his baby while quipping into the meeting every now and then (he's got to be a good example for his girl)

no one can necessarily get mad, Jaehaera is adorable and they had all hoped and prayed fatherhood would settle the prince, which now they fear it's settled him too much.

Aemond stopping his sword training to lay out a blanket for the twins to sit in the grass and watch, goading Criston into putting on a show for them, imitating whatever story they come up with. letting them take up wood swords eventually and starting to incorporate them into his training.

Helaena having her lunch with Mother and a lady in waiting interrupted by her son being brought to her. he's huffy and tired, most likely woken from his nap by dreams he didn't understand, wanting nothing more than to just cuddle up with his mum. he's sitting against he glumly, clearly wanting his mum all to himself, to go up to her chambers and cuddle while she sings him the lullaby she has since he was born. but between his grandmother and the lady in waiting coaxing him to giggle, his mum trying to cheer him up, be comes to enjoy himself a bit.

The family having to go to some dinner for some noble and having kids on their hips. they don't like letting people take them from them, especially not little Maelor, so they're in guard all night. having to play nice when Lords and Ladies would reach out a finger to play with the babies, acting as if they don't want to snap at them.

Aegon carrying Maelor around the event while Helaena and Aemond keep the twins together.

trying to get them to sit nice at the dinner itself but finding themselves caring more about messing around with them than keeping up appearances

the 3 standing together, babes in their arms during some court meeting in the throne room, looking very accidental renaissance.

having matching outfits. Aemond and Aegon looking especially nice in the lighter colors for once.

they're just too cute and infecting every waking moment I have

The description of the Sonic 3 teaser mentions Robotnik being accompanied by a gang of armored henchmen with laser guns.

And in "Knuckles" we see an entire underground operation using Robotnik's techology and alien DNA to make weapons and armor. Could this be how the series ties into Sonic 3?

i truly do not think alice can possibly stop being a character bc of previously stated reasons so now my working theory is the "i'll die down here" is mostly a distraction from "i was born down here" and alice Is some kind of reborn or construct or undead or something in the way that what she Is, her Current form of life was born from whatever weird alchemist shit is going on in the OIAR and the Magnus institute

Mhok's journey in this show has been so good, the way his life has been shaped by his protectiveness for others. He felt loyal to his friends so he fought with them to protect them and ended up in jail, where he couldn't protect his sister. Now he gets to not only care for and protect Day in a professional way but also as a boyfriend who just gets to cook and care for his partner. Being able to heal some part of himself through caring for Day in a way that he brushed off with Rung (not cooking her favourite meal) and now regrets. It feels like finding someone he is able to protect is paramount to Mhok's healing.

The contrast between Mhok and his love for his sister who raised him and Day and his strained relationship with his brother is so apparent in the last ep. We get to see how deep the hurt goes on Day's part and the last few eps will surely deal with them coming to terms with their anger, guilt and grief in relation to their siblings. That feeling of mixed emotions when dealing with tough relationships and the grief of suicide, it's such an interesting contrast, all the things you wish you could do differently versus the anger of the moment.

i'm a lover of real housewives new jersey and hold all opinions about the show bc i know i'm going off of my own opinions. but i love jackie... and steve is My Jackie.

but i think stobin would relish in the infighting and drama. they live for gossip and actually instigate sometimes. robin and steve share a look and he subtly places a wine glass in front of one of the wives.

life update: been incredibly dead and stressed about outside shit. been having approximately SIX Major Life Crisis’ at the same time. panicked while realizing that time didn’t freeze because i was/am depressed and now i have to make Decisions about whatever the fuck im doing next in life. car was dead for a week and that fucking sucked. had a fight with my mom and now i feel even more stressed in her presence than before. allergies are now kicking my ass by making my nose runny and my throat kill me. 

despite it all though, im trying not to be kept down:

i just went through my half-written scenes from the dare(d) universe (name subject to change soon as it slowly grows), found out that i have ~8k words written but most of the scenes are from much later in the story. but hey it’s a start. decided to take a pottery class whenever i actually remember to save a weekend to schedule it just so i can get my hands on something tangible and maybe meet some people. went Depression Shopping for food to keep me from being sibling 3/6 to be hospitalized from lack of nutrition after moving out. now i have food that is enough to keep me alive and doesn’t cost every ounce of my energy to prepare.  watched all 4 Hunger Games movies bc i don’t think i’d ever seen them all.

suez canal post slowed down much faster than i expected, maybe because it was started early. still getting lots of notes, but we’re no longer drowning in them. trying to figure out where i can just take a plane to and spend a week to escape my home for a while.

so im struggling but i am fucking alive and at this point, that’s what we’re aiming for. <3

there are some awkward bits in hidden agenda that seem like remnants of older series, particularly the clumsy way time skips are inserted so you are never sure how much time actually has passed, but at the same time I am pretty excited for this series. I thought it would feature the silliest plot and the bigger themes by tee - whatever they might be - would be some kind of add-on.

but after ep 2 I think that it is more intricately crafted than I thought and delightfully so.

the hidden agenda is not only pointing to what Joke is up to, but also how every character in the show has a hidden agenda, different definitions of what a purposefully concealed motive constitutes and some kind of rules on how to deal with other people havinga hidden agenda.

Zo is a bit unaware in social situations, but I like that he is overall such an easy-going guy that we can already see that he likes to vibe with Joke. yes, he still mentions Nita but he clearly is aware that he is having fun hanging out with him.

and not only that, it seems he is set on finding out why Joke wants to help him. i lowkey hope they both get so tangled up in their mind games that they will date without realizing it

what i really wanted to mention is the overall inclusion of trickery, what counts as trickery and how the show also comments on standard romcom "trickery"

Zo is indeed a bit clumsy, but falling that many times into Jokes arms? maybe the first time when the carpet was shown...

but the second time? something is going on in Zo's head.

watching episode 2 gave me the delightful thought that the show not only playfully makes fun of some romcom tropes (which has been done before) when they mention how silly it is that Zo falls again into his arms, but does so in a way that makes you think of the characters motives. not only are these scenes straight out of Joke's fantasy, his whole plan right now is to create romantic situations like these to make Zo's heart flutter; Zo could've used that move to deliberatedly create the situations Joke is trying for, to find out about his motivations.

i really want this to continue and slowly getting reveals of what everyone else is scheming around them.
