We all know Dark Justiciar Shadowheart is a mean domme. But what if she's not always mean? Sure, most of the time she's cold and cruel and punishes you mercilessly for the slightest mistake. But even becoming the new Mother Superior isn't enough to completely eliminate her nice side. She still craves softness, she just can't let herself have it. Buy maybe, on very, very rare occasions when you've been behaving and she's in a good mood, she'll be gentle with you.
It only ever happens in the privacy of her bedchamber. She can't ever let anyone in the congregation see this weakness of hers lest they accuse her of heresy. But is it really heresy to do something you have to hide? Is not this secrecy an act of devotion in itself? That's how she justifies it to herself, anyway. And you certainly aren't going to question her; you've learned well by now to never, ever question your Lady's Chosen.
And it's not like you'd want to complain anyway. You love when she's soft, it reminds you of...something you can't quite remember, but you know it was a pleasant memory. Besides, it certainly gives you plenty of incentive to behave and always do your best during lessons.
It does have one side effect though. Sometimes when you go to bed together afterward you have strange dreams. You dream about things that never happened, people you've never met, places you've never been. You wake up in the middle of the night confused, convinced you're somewhere or someone else. This usually wakes Shadowheart up too, and she holds you close and makes soft shushing sounds until you calm down.
She asks you what's wrong and of course you tell her about your dream; you know better than to keep secrets from her. She always reassures you that everything is all right, though occasionally she sleepily mutters things under her breath like "You remembered that again? Dammit." You wonder what that means, but you don't ask her. You don't think you want to know.
She reassures you that everything's fine, you're safe, she knows these strange dreams are distressing but don't worry, we'll visit the Mirror in the morning and you'll feel better then.

In two and a half months it will be a year since I began planning to talk about this, and now I don’t know at all if I can make it in a presentable psa form I wanted.
Anyway, sanitary culture.
Or, the (current, western/northern) society is absolutely fucking evil about things that go from the inside on the outside of the body.
This goes from body function -based insults to the degradation of social workers. This harms literally everyone; most of all it harms those with disabilities affecting that or managing hygiene (person with a trauma response to toilet jokes here!) and poor people.
I think I’ll post this as it is right now and perhaps will add more thoughts later. I also already have a #sanitary culture tag on my blog.

I’m back at my aunt and uncle’s extremely haunted house(from this post) and lemme tell you it’s already been crazy.
-Stairs to the second floor have been blocked off with several larger items(yoga ball, folding chairs, baby gate, etc). Normally that stuff gets put either in one of the closets, stored in the basement, or taken the large converted garage behind the house. I have never once known my aunt, who hates unnecessary clutter, to stack things on the stairs like this.
-Related to the above, I’ve heard something moving around upstairs. It almost sounds like one of the dogs, except the dogs are always on the main floor with me and, again, the stairs have been blocked so they physically can’t get up there. (As a side note, I live in dread of the day I’ll look up and see something watching me from the balcony)
-Music coming from the woods behind the house. This is far out into the country, the only thing in that direction for over a mile is uninhabited forest and fields. The woods are also easily a quarter of a mile away from the house so even if someone was playing music for some reason it’s weird that it’s loud enough to hear from inside the house.
-Not spooky, but odd enough to mention, yesterday morning the biggest tree frog I’ve ever seen out here was just hanging out on the glass door that leads out to the deck. It was brownish gray and about the size of my hand.
-Monday night the dogs went absolutely ballistic at something outside around 2-3AM. These are country dogs, who have lived here since they were puppies, and are very accustomed to the various sounds of animals that live around here, but they were damn near frantic to go outside; barking, howling, and jumping on and scratching at the door and windows. I turned the outside light on, and even went out to check just in case maybe the local coyote pack was nearby and riling them up, but I didn’t see or hear anything out of the ordinary.
And of course there’s been the usual weird lights and shadows, and banging/knocking sounds. I’ll be here until the 29th, so stay tuned for more craziness.

love how Solar Opposites started out as a sitcom about two aliens who can't stand each other, stuck with their teenage clones (whom they also can't stand) & a toddler antichrist (whom they view as a sort of self-sufficient free-roaming hamster?) on a stupid planet they can't stand
and 4 seasons later it's a sitcom about a family of genderqueer aliens, headed by a gay couple in a happy & horny open marriage (with a graphic off-screen sex life, despite their canonical lack of genitalia?) teaching themselves to be okay parents to their 3 kids (whose Sci-Fi Antics now slightly-less-frequently revolve around wreaking havoc on human bystanders, and slightly-more-frequently revolve around alien-clone-sibling-bonding*), to the point that the central plot point becomes "We need to provide our toddler antichrist with a stable home environment."
(also the grumpy alien husband is too busy ingratiating his family with their suburban neighbors to even remember whom or what he dislikes. what is this show)

what's the threshold theory
There was a post about how Tom is the only crew member who isn't really affected by the Borg, and there's a theory that he has so much luck because he saw the past and the future when he crossed the transwarp threshold. He saw the past and the future, all of time and space. There's some subconscious part of him that remembers that experience. In fact, Tom refused to play a part in Chakotay indulging Annorax's temporal incursions, probably because a part of him knew nothing good could come of it.
If we extend that same theory to Janeway, some of her wild luck with time travel and other crack plans starts to make sense. She doesn't verbally hate time travel until after the events of Threshold, since it happens in Time and Again without complaint. Janeway has an uncanny knack for time travel, as evidenced every time she deals with it. She hates time travel, but it might be because part of her knows exactly how to manipulate the timeline. She manages to avoid the "inevitable" temporal explosion in Future's End, saving both Voyager and Braxton. She resets the entire timeline in Year of Hell, and no one else followed her reasoning. She pulled it off flawlessly. In Relativity, she senses the incidents are all related, despite it being just one reading that connects them. By the time she's involved, she has a temporal incursion factor of .0036 and a time travel protocol named after her, even if that may just be Braxton's personal grudge. Then there's Endgame, where she intentionally changes the timeline. Up until this point, she has been dragged into time travel, but for the first time, she jumps in on purpose. How does Admiral Janeway know how to get them home sooner in a way that completely avoids the Temporal Integrity Commission? It's because she has seen all of time, and part of her knows exactly what needs to happen so she can get Voyager home and do it in a way that becomes baked into the prime timeline. Maybe she doesn't consciously remember what happened during her transformation, but the experience lives in her mind somewhere, guiding her decisions.
#every day is threshold day#tldr threshold cemented the time travel shenanigans#we're not counting her disparagement of time travel in relativity i know it's technically before threshold#but they've messed with the timeline so much that her past timeline is also changed.#Time travel is funny because the past is the future the future is the past#so while relativity comes before threshold in the prime timeline her timeline has also been changed in a way that it wasn't before threshol#we could chalk it up to a writing oversight but this is more interesting#not to mention her uncanny luck with the Borg which I think ties in as well#it's part of why her instinct is so strong#also the bio neural gel packs but that's a different theory#listen she's amazing with or without having seen all of time and space but she has seen all of time and that must have affected her somehow#those little salamander babies also have all of the cosmos in their mind#tried to explain as concisely as possible but it is part of my overarching theory#she doesn't second guess herself nearly as much following their jaunt into transwarp#I have more but I'm trying to be brief cause it's written up partially in my drafts somewhere and i have some things i need to do today lol#meta#Star Trek voyager#Kathryn janeway#threshold day#did you expect me thresholdbb to not have a serious threshold theory?#listen I can make anything nonsense and turn anything into a serious theory I was known for this kinda bs in grad school#I wrote a 25 page paper on NOTHING once#I wrote a paper about how corn fields were super gay and it made my professor cry I can spin the bullshit it is one of my skills

"Once a lowly jelly worm with aspirations beyond anyone's belief, with a bit of magic (and perhaps convincing) it turned into something even stronger... finally, after rigorous training and a bit of dough, it has now achieved its dream and become a - dragon? That's a dragon, right? Whatever he is now, Jelly Dragon(?) Cookie is sure happy to finally have a chance to stick it to the cookies who once laughed at him!" - im being weird on my first crk post kasjhf look i love jelly wormy and i think he deserves to be a dragon... what if he went on a quest and cried so hard at one of the actual dragons that they made him one (air quotes). it was perhaps out of pity but more likely morbid curiosity to see what would happen if a jelly worm of all things got a little taste of power. like giving admin commands to a child on roblox

Sucks that "likes milfs" was one of the "bits" they dropped abt Jesse as the show went on I really think that they should've kept that around. There's an extremely funny potential outcome of this that I'm thinking of. Can anyone figure it out
