I only have a paused frame taken with my phone, but....
I absolutely LOVE this shot of Buggy from Impel Down. It shows how much of a pirate he really is. The others are looking out over the rail, but he had to climb up the ropes to gaze out at their successful escape. He's on top of the world. A ship is where he grew up. It's obvious how comfortable he is on those ropes just by this image. He's just hanging off them without a care, because he's done it a million times already. Holding on with only one hand, no fear of falling into the water. He was made to be out at sea. He's meant to be wild and free.
Buggy and Shanks are the princes of the Pirate King. They both carry that legacy forward, whether intentionally or not. They will be guiding the next generation into the New Era, and they are both deserving of the title of Emperor.

Rare little MLP rant from me incoming. (I don't like talking about my opinions on the show too much.)
I'm getting really fed up with a "debate" that keeps popping up every month in MLP's online fandom regarding the character, Cozy Glow, and how the show ended her storyline. The discourse is specifically about if her actions and motivations warranted her being sentenced to what is the equivalent of capital punishment in a children's show.
This shouldn't even be a conversation.? Why are fans so eager to subscribe to the show's logic that a child character is irredeemable and evil and deserves to be punished that way? Like, are these fans not seeing the issue with a children's show about friendship and redemption having a storyline like this in the first place? Especially in the season that is literally about a friendship school.
The entire concept is the problem. It's ok to admit that as a fan. Watching the show's protagonists gleefully punish a young child is distasteful. Reading threads and think pieces on why it's actually ok is gross.
I have so so so many issues with season 8-9 but I'm really only willing to talk about it if I am asked about it.

do you guys ever get too scared to post ocs because you’re worried that their design or story isn’t cool enough
And then someone posts their OC/sona that looks super similar to your OC, even though you’ve technically made yours first
And now you’re scared of posting them because you’re afraid someone is gonna try and compare the two, because someone will always do that if they look similar enough
Do you guys ever feel that way or am I just really really stupid

I feel like some people forget, or are straight up too young and new to fandom to know, how fandom, fanfics, and ao3 work, bc I'm honestly baffled, tho I probably shouldn't be but either ive never been this deep into fandom to witness it, or this is some new insanity
like, you know the main idea with fic writing should be just to have fun with characters and ships you love, right? it can have nothing to do with canon or endgames or even shit we want to actually see in a show, not every fic is spec
and the thing is, you don’t have to read something if you dont like it, that's why we have filters, and most importantly, you don’t go on someone's clearly tagged fic and talk shit about the ship the fic is for, what the actual fuck
keep the discourse here, bringing it into ao3 comments now is just so rude and childish wtf

Weird shit Yuu would say
(Mostly as an American. Also kinda dark)
Yuu: *playing in snow and giggling*
Epel: Wow, you're really getting into it
Yuu: Last time I saw snow people died so this is a nice change of pace (Reference to the Texas Freeze)
Epel: ... What?
----------
Yuu, making repairs to Ramshackle's roof: If I fall don't call an ambulance. I can't afford that shit
Deuce: ??? How can you not afford an ambulance? It's free
Yuu: Oh... Right, different place. Are doctor visits cheap? I haven't been to one for a couple years
Deuce: YEARS?!
----------
During a fire drill
Yuu, looking around
Ace: Chill, everyone's here you don't have to worry about people missing
Yuu: Nah, I'm looking to see if there could be a shooter. Fire alarm is the perfect way to make us sitting ducks
Ace: S-shooter? Like with a gun?
Yuu: Yeah. What? You've never done shooter drills?
Ace: NO!
-----------
At Sunset Savanna
Yuu: Is that... Holy shit, that's a quagga
Leona: Uh, yeah they're common here. Nothing special
Yuu: They're extinct where I'm from so they're pretty special to me
Leona: ... You know what I'm not even gonna ask.
----------
Yuu: Wow, this beach is so clean
Azul: Most beaches are like this
Yuu: What, most got trash pickers to clean up on the daily?
Azul: No? Is trash on beaches a problem where you're from?
Yuu: Just trash in the ocean in general is a problem. Lots of sea life die from it. Hopefully they got off shore drilling under control though now.
Azul: I know I'm going to regret asking but what are you talking about
Yuu: Y'all never had an oil spill?
Azul: I'm not even sure what that means so likely no
Yuu: Basically tons of crude oil leak into the ocean. Just imagine that shit getting into your lungs- or gills would be more accurate. Happened a couple of times. Lota of dead marine life
Azul: ... How can you say things like that so casually
Yuu, shrugs

I think some people forget that peppino can be kind of a jerk. He's not your perfect awkward nervous guy who can do no wrong, he is not perfect, but that doesn't make him a bad guy. He has flaws, because thats a normal human thing to have.
Sometimes he gets angry and a bit mean, sometimes he takes joy in beating the shit out of the tower residents, sometimes he gets selfish or says something mean to someone. His anxiety is not his only flaw, please don't forget that. He is not a perfect sunshine boy who can do no wrong. He is not nice and friendly 100% of the time. He is a human person, he is a complex being who cannot be easily defined as completely good or completely bad.
Sometimes good people do shitty things. Sometimes a person will not act in the kindest way possible. Sometimes someone will do something not realising (or caring) how it makes others feel. Sometimes people have bad days. Sometimes people make mistakes. Sometimes people are wrong.
Peppino is a human, he is not immune to being a jerk sometimes. Again, this doesn't make him a bad person, it just makes him human, and I don't want people to forget that and misinterpret him as being someone whos only flaw is his anxiety. Yes it is a key part of his character, but theres more to this guy than that, thats not his only flaw or imperfection or whatever you want to call it. He's not 'kind perfect guy who also has anxiety', theres more detail to who he is than that.
Peppino can be a bit mean, Peppino can be hotheaded, and you know what? Thats okay because thats what a person is like sometimes, and that is a sign of a complex and realisticly written character (even if he is a cartoon guy, his personality still feels realistic). He's not the same guy all of the time, he doesnt respond to every situation in the same way, he's not a one note character. Sometimes he sucks as a person, but its okay because despite all that, he's a loveable and endearing character, and he isn't a horrible terrible person, he just is human, and thats okay.
