OK SO HERE'S THE RUB. I think that as it currently is, the base uniform for hope's peak looks boring as shit to me. like. yes. it is very customizable and versatile and when they DO stuff with it then it usually looks great. BUT for such a prestigious school I think there could be just a tiny bit more flare to it. So before making any design I made some changes to the hope's peak emblem itself. The design is fine on its own, but I thought it could add to it if i gave it a couple of colour variants, so this is what I came up with!

Each variation belongs to a specific group, with the coloured versions belonging to the student groups. For the sake of this were just gonna focus on the student emblems so like. ignore the other 2. Here are the uniforms themself!

I wanted to give a BUNCH of options that range from totally normal to. fashion crime territory if you arent careful. The solid orange options are by far the least popular ones, and the reserve course is really just hung out to dry, unless you want orange pants with a black blazer. I imagine that there are so many pieces because not only can hope's peak afford it, but they have had this consistent issue for years where the one thing they just cannot keep straight is a dress code. So as a result, they allow students to mix and match all they want, so long as they're wearing the emblem to SOME extent. try as they might, they can't enforce the school colours as much as theyd like to.

✨Redesigned Leo's look for Grown Apart AU ✨

The old one just wasn't doing it for me, it felt too cluttered and incohesive. Plus, it didn't match well with Mikey's design (which was partly intentional, but they do still need to look like they grew up in the same home.)

I like this one a lot more - it's simpler, not as thrown-together looking, and still maintains that "teen from the other side of the tracks who tries to appear cool & independent, but really just wants to make friends" vibe that I'm going for, lol.

Have you read Gotham knights 13 with the part between two face and Gordon? I really liked some his mannerisms in it from the eye roll/air quotes to raising his arm swearing the truth that "evidence doesn't lie" 😂

Def one of the hardest things I find about OC design is designing casual outfits for them. Like if it's a specific outfit like a costume or a suit then that's fine I can do that no problem but god putting them in normal ass clothes is so hard for me 😭

“When are these timeskips exactly?” Well you sea in my AU Finding Dory takes place THREE years into the future as opposed to ONE (did some fancy pants math calculation conversions from human years to fish years and then back to human years. I am lying; I subtracted the age of Nemo's VA in FN from his VA in FD and got 3.)

It deep ends honestly: I think Dory acquires that shell necklace AFTER she reunites with her parents; maybe her braid's a bit shorter during the events of the film, and she still wears her old dress whose own midriff is rife with embroidery and patches from her past efforts to conceal/repair. Maybe Marlin has the new vest but still wears his hoodie during the film. Nemo's timeskip design doesn't significantly change, because neither does he in FD; rather, he applies what he learned in FN to his perception of Dory, and it ROCKS!!!

I think there should be these incremental shifts in accordance to their arcs. The designs I've shared as of late line up with where they are in On Anemone Lane, which I happenstantially stumbled into fulfilling the Finding formula by rendering the proem a flashback!
