And just because this is me here are some oc interactions featuring my baby mengtao who is basically cottage core if you gave it anxiety (also can you tell these were made at ungodly hours?-)

Once again just because I can watch me ramble with these-

With Jun I can totally see mengtao taking up a part time job at the library she works at for no other reason than wanting to read books about mortal plant life, that means she actually tends to slack at her job or stay way to long because she is just so hyper focused on studying (also because she is kinda homeless and likes to stay somewhere to hide from the scary outside world-)

Probably the only one of them she would have known before being sent down to earth.

Ling: For her I would say she looks up to her because she sees her as really strong and cool, a person she would never dare dreaming of being. With the possibility of it turning into a cute crush because she is a bisexual mess thank you very much.

Part one of the fast-talking con-artist Ashengrotto twins. They will talk you into a verbal contract to do their homework for months. But you can pay them to drop it.

Charysa is a hopeless romantic who misses every red flag when she falls in love. Luckily, her family is so intense about finances that Azul scares off every last one that makes it to meeting him. (If you plan on dating either of Azul's direct daughters, you better have excellent credit, a hand balanced checkbook, and be prepared to set up your 401K. Legal documentation is mandatory). If Azul doesn't scare them off, Scylar will.

She has a secret admirer who lifts her spirit with thoughtful gifts after every failed relationship and is lowkey keeping her love of romance alive.

Pretty laidback but is weirdly intense about her tennis record. The only person she's lost to in a match is Finley and she's keeping it that way. (Tennis ball coming at you going Mach 14)

Kind of a crybaby, but has actually broken people's bones for making fun of her siblings. (She snapped one child's finger in kindergarten for saying her twin looked gross)

Sadly, gets periods along with Yuu and Malgona.

Unique Magic: Siren Song. No one is really sure if it is a unique spell since it's a shared spell between the twins. When they both sing in harmony, it makes for a hypnotic effect that briefly brings people under their command. Not used very often as they don't have much control over whoever hears their song since they need to sing the commands in perfect harmony.

Any time they HAVE used it, it was clearly premeditated and they were grounded afterwards.

Dating/Crush?: Looking for a cute girlfriend

Distinguished lesbian, threw a fit when she was picked by the mirror as an NRC scholarship student when she was set to go to an all-girls school instead. While more fem-presenting people have been accepted and invited to attend NRC in the recent years, Scylar is still mad because no one has caught her eye yet and is CONVINCED if she had gone to an all-girls school she'd be engaged by now.

The more violent of the twins but also the most logical. She is the one planning on how to jump someone at a later date if anyone DARES fuck over she and her sister. The twins do not fight fair and will ambush you together.

She is fully aware of who her sister's secret admirer is and is TRYING to get him to confess so she can stop dealing with her sister's terrible boyfriends. He keeps refusing and claiming things are best the way they are. Scylar just assumes he doesn't have the proper legal documents he needs to meet Azul.

The 'tired gay' of the family, though JJ disagrees.

She's more talented than her sister in the singing department, but the skill seems to split evenly during the spell. So, Scylar works hard to improve her singing to make their spell stronger.

Silly transformers ocs that came to me in a dream (except I heavily altered the designs and lore from the original vision)

In the dream, I was browsing a website similar to artfight and saw a transformers oc named Priest ( @sonia-aquamarineson 's oc Gusty was on there too, but he was called Herring. This has no bearing on the rest of the lore, it was just funny). Priest's original design was a bit different from the current one and looked more like this:

(Made with this picrew and edited a bit to be more accurate. I didn't draw him because I wanted to get his design down ASAP before forgetting everything + I wasn't very confident in drawing tf characters yet.)

His lore was very inconsistent. A picture on his page implied that his alt mode was a speaker, but the first line of his description said it was a set of silverware. But that was contradicted too at the end where it said he was "a book with pages as brittle as his trust". There was also a mention of how someone cursed him and since then he just stayed at home.

There were also these 3 pictures that were, (allegedly) related to his backstory:

So yeah. Priest's backstory was pretty nonsensical, but thankfully after sharing the dream with Sonia (because Gusty was there briefly) we were both so normal about the guy that we decided to make his lore make sense.

Basically:

Pine was a cringefail scientist fed up with having his lab at some abandoned, rusty old base next to a junkyard in the middle of nowhere and wanted the other cons to finally respect him. So when his inventions weren't impressive enough, he had a different plan

He was going to kidnap some autobot and then contact their friends with a typical "grr hand over the secret info or your friend will die >:-[" message. But here's the twist! Before that, he would put a bomb inside the bot's chassis, which would activate when they leave the base. So even if the friends showed up to heroically rescue their bestie, they would still die anyway! Yippee!!

He managed to catch an unsuspecting bot, which happened to be Priest, and all seemed to be going well...

.. Until it turned out Priest was about as respected by the autobots as Pine was by the decepticons. When contacted, Priest's acquaintances couldn't care less about him possibly dying. They didn't seem too keen on heroically rescuing him, but didn't hand over the information Pine wanted, either.

Pine wasn't sure what to do. Sure, the bomb was already there, just waiting to be detonated. But on the other hand... was it really worth it? What's the point of this kind of murder when no one is watching?! When there's no one the lament the loss of their loved one?! And as much as he hated to admit it, he felt some sympathy for Priest, who was as much of a loser as he was.

Pine was like "ok, kidnapping's over, your murder is cancelled. Lemme take that bomb out of your chassis real quick. Then you can go wherever you want and forget this ever happened. Sorry for wasting your time". And yeah he took that bomb out but there was another problem.

Priest didn't really have anywhere to go and didn't want to come back to the autobots, considering how little they cared about him.

And so, he ended up staying with Pine and joining the decepticons (which had little to do with the actual ideology and more with wanting their partnership to look less suspicious). Priest spends his days helping Pine with his inventions and digging through the junkyard for any interesting devices he could use as an alt mode (since there isn't much else to do there, really). As such, he changes his alt mode very often and it's a bit hard to keep up with sometimes. However, one form he often comes back to is an arcade machine (which is the design pictured in his ref!)

Also don't ask how an arcade machine ended up in space. This is a ridiculous little story about a pathetic pine tree robot and and a guy named Priest. And it was based on a dream. Weirdness is unavoidable here.

Since Arz has been posting about her OC's, why dont I show one of mine!

"Need to know your way through the library? Just ask our lovely librarian assistant, Linda! She knows this building like the back of her hand(especially because its her favourite place in town!)."

(sorry if this looks rushed, I'm not that good at drawing)

In the show:

She was a background-turned-side character that would appear in a few episodes, acting as a guide for the Handeemen if they need to find a specific book.

They even have their own segment called 'Linda's storytime', where she reads popular fairytales(with the Handeemen interupting them from time to time as a li'l gag). She is mostly seen around the library.

Outside of the show:

They're based off Avery(Arz's OC)'s late close friend, who used to work at the town's local Library. Avery wanted to make something to remember them by, and thus, Linda Literature was created!

Relationships with the Handeemen(Show counterparts):

- Rosco: She was at first scared of the giant pup, due to him being larger then the average golden retriever. But they slowly warmed up to him after Riley showed how harmless Rosco is.

Rosco(like how he is with everyone else) is pretty friendly with Linda, he tried to be a lap dog while she was doing her storytime segment and almost sufficated her, Don't worry, Riley managed to help them in time(Rosco also gave her a lick in the face as an apology).

- Riley: She is close friends with the scientist, as Riley is a regular visitor there. Linda would often try and make small talk with her, they find her use of scientific words 'charming'(rumor has it that she has a small crush on the scientist). Riley is one of the few people who returns the library books in a clean state, Linda appreciates this alot.

Riley sees her as a good friend, Linda is one of the few people she doesn't mind having small talk with(they're dynamic is basically the "He asked for no pickles" meme).

- Nick: Linda looks up to Nick as she is inspired by his poetry skills, they hope to one day be as good as him in writing things(she also has a small crush on him too). Although, they do wish he returns the library books with less finger paints on them.

Nick thinks of her as a great friend, he's glad to finally have someone who wilingly listens to his poems, and properly listens to them(no offense Duke, but you might need to work on your focus more).

- Daisy: The two are good friends, Linda enjoys talking to her, but she also prefers the baker to return the library books withought any flour or other baking stains that somehow got stuck in the pages(atleast she gives them freshly baked pies as an apology).

Daisy invited Linda to join her book club as they needed more members, although, its more of a gossip group really(Daisy is also the only one who knows about Linda's small crush on both Riley and Nick).

- Mortimer: While the two aren't close, they do bond over their shared love for reading. Linda likes how expresive Mortimer is when he's telling a story, it makes storytime alot more entertaining. She's also thankful that he returns the library books withought any stains. Safe to say she has high respect for the old man.

Mortimer is pleased to have another reading buddy, as much as he enjoys Daisy's book club, there was just SO much tea that even he couldn't handle it.

More Info about them:

- She knew Riley back in Highschool, before they both moved to different colleges, they reunited after Linda's first few days of working at the library.

- They have an emotional support, Chilean Rose Tarantula named; Rosey. Fun fact: The show used an actual real life tarantula, due to Owen's huge obsession with accurancy and detail, tho this also led to the infamous missing spider incident(they still have no clue where it went).

- Originally, Linda's pronoun's were They/Them, but due to the fact that it was the 80s, it was changed to She/They to avoid censorship(unfortunetly the show could only used the 'She' pronoun to adress them, curse you transphobes!).

- She is constantly anxious due to her OCD(which explains why they're always seen reorganizing the books and checking if the backdoor is lock for the 28th time).

(P.S. Do tell me if my writing on her OCD is incorrect, I dont want to accidentally misinterpret/mischaracterized people who have the disorder)

Hii I’m cringe free so here is my self-insert as I don’t have any other pathologic ocs :(

Name: Katerina Katina

Age: 27 years old

Job/Credentials: painter! I imagined she would do portraits for the Kains and the other leading families but can also do paintings for anyone in town

And she would just be an NPC

Katerina was born in the town and has lived her whole life there, though she did want to go to the capital to study in art but unfortunately for her she took too long to decide and ended up married to a guy who wants her to stay so she does

She does like the town and since she feels it’s too late to study art anyways she doesn’t want to leave anymore, maybe she’ll just visit the capital one day

She doesn’t have much friends she just talks to the Stamatins often, she WAS once friends with Vlad Jr. but not anymore (I thought he was just a pathetic kinda guy but nope I do not fuck with racists)

Also friends with Verdell Popov another oc which I hope my partner submits here!

She believes in the Mistresses at least Nina and Victoria still not really sure about Katerina Saburov or both of them for the matter

She does believe the steppe legends as she is friends with Verdell who is from the kin and even enjoys hearing about them

Not sure about authority she tries not to get in trouble and doesn’t really like any of the families especially after doing portraits for many of them

Definitely tries to help the Haruspex the most even if she was scared of The Ripper at first, later she’ll offer him to sleep at her house if he needs and if her district is plagued would give him quests and when he’s done she’ll give him food in exchange

Yes, a painter! I always wondered where all the ruling families got their portraits from? Especially since the paintings shared a similar style, one which clearly contrasted with Peter's more abstract and fluid works.

She is woven into the story seamlessly, I really like the fact that she has an already repeated name. It makes it just more realistic, yk? It makes sense for the most popular names of the time period to get repeated a bunch in a town this big.

Saburov and Block, Victor and Victoria, it's a small detial but provides a touch of realism. We've all known multiple people who shared the same name throughout our lives.

Her connection to Andrey and Peter does make sense. They're both interested in steppe legends and art. Maybe she did the paintings in the brokenheart pub, too?

I love her blue scarf. I know it's not intentional, but it matches Artemy's blue sweater. Poetic how he's the one she'll willing to help the most, does she believe in his cause and the Termite ending? In destroying the Polyhedron, despite the agony, it will put her two friends–the Stamatins–through?

Including the wedding ring in the art is such a good detail too, her curly/wavy hair is very lovely. God, I wish we could've seen more diverse hairtypes in pathologic.

It is lowkey ironic that she doesn't like to get into trouble yet befriended The Stamatin and used to be friends with Vlad Jr. Honestly, even if she does, she is a little too useful to the ruling families for them not to let her go with a slap on the wrist.

Keeping such a talented painter under their thumb and inside the town? Especially an artist who never went to art school, so she doesn't realise her actual worth or talent. Her only other point of reference is Peter, a literal genius in his field whose talent is beyond comprehension. So much so, Nina had to drag the twins to town no matter the cost.

It's also sad in a way, like a beautiful buttefly who may never see its own colourful wings. Who's trapped inside an artificial greenhouse, never wandering to the lush garden outside, and for love to be the one thing chaining her too? That's just amazing.

Your art is amazing! I can tell a lot about Katerina from the body language alone, the nervous side glance, the tendency to touch her fingers.

The wedding ring being silver rather than gold. Ouch.

"I shouldn't have yelled at him" Is she referring to her husband? Do they fight often? Or someone else entirely.

⚙ Backstory stuff

Despite being born in Old Corona, Aiden spent half of their childhood in another village even farther away from the capital. This village is run by a small saporian community and was mostly filled with travelers so people tended to come and go, lots of witches came by looking to seal their power to pass as human. So Aiden and their parents were easily welcomed there.

When Aiden was a child, the local Grandma (Aiden never learnt her name- she was just referred by everyone as Grandma) used to play with Aiden's hair a lot while she told stories. Aiden avoided cutting their hair for her, and even after her death they still refused to cut it.

Said Grandma was the village's healer and quickly became Aiden's role model. She was the first person to mentor Aiden in their quest to become a physician.

Aiden's second mentor is the current royal physician, the only one who didn't leave when the Queen got sick and no one could find a cure. Both of Aiden's mentor were/are unhinged and definetly shouldn't be trusted to teach children but that's why I love them.

Aiden is very not normal about human bodies. Both because of autism and the way their mentors educated them about it. Aiden is pretty desentisized about stuff most people would find gross.

⚙ Aiden's relationship with other characters

Aiden has a pretty good relationship with their parents. They're very loving people but a tad overprotective, it kinda made Aiden avoid talking to them about big problems because he was scared to worry them more than necessary, but overall they all love and care for each others. Aiden is just terrible at understanding and communicating his own needs.

They have many friends within the castle since they've been working here for a while now. They're also known outside of the capital since his mentor sometimes send them away, either on errand or to take care of villages without doctors.

Aiden isn't close to the main cast of tts, beside Varian. He respects and admires most of them but he doesn't consider them friends since he never really got interested in getting closer to them. They do know they can count on him when any of them gets hurt or sick, it's his job after all.

Aiden has a bestie- his name is Daniel, he's the son of the merchants proccuring most herbs for the physicians, and is currently part of the royal guards. He isn't a very fun person but Aiden enjoys how down to earth he can be.

⚙ random stuff

During the series Aiden went through like... 4 different leg prosthesis in one year because people (bad guy of the season) kept on breaking it. (I'll admit it was my go-to excuse as to why Aiden doesn't appear in canon. They're always off screen doing random things or laying on the floor stuck somewhere 😔)

They're very sensitive to temperatures since the Storm that made them lose their leg.

Aiden's magic got sealed by a tattoo on their back when they were very young, so as they grew up the tattoo got deformed and the seal weakened. Their extended family is the ones completely getting rid of it- by removing part of the skin. Hopefully for Aiden he was under hypnosis when that happens and he has no memories of it whatsoever. Varian is the one who found out about it and it made him really mad.

So you know Venefica's magic is linked to mind control. And Aiden caught feelings for Varian long before he caught feelings for them himself. Varian is very obvious about his feelings, yet Aiden doesn't acknowledge it at all. That's because they're somehow convinced Varian's feelings aren't genuine and is caused by their own magic they never learnt to control.

I mentioned witches cannot break promises so they avoid doing any, since it can easily end badly for them. Aiden (so far) made 2 : one to Quirin and one to Donella. The first one lowkey resulted in the loss of their leg. The second brought distrust between them and Varian. So yeah. Promises bad.

The only reason Hugo is allowed to call them Hobble is because he helped a lot with their prosthesis and still does

At this point if you don't know I ship Aiden with both Varian and Hugo then-.. Idk how you escaped all my posting about them but I admire that, this is impressive. Anyway-

I wanted to try doing an actual love triangle so when each of them catch feelings it starts with : Aiden -> Hugo ; Hugo -> Varian ; Varian -> Aiden. Then things just... happen and at some point they all have feelings for both of the other and they are struggling to figure out what to do about it.

The first two to get into a relationship are Aiden and Hugo, but it's not really romantic, they're just having fun. Hugo quickly understood Varian was the team leader but the boy kept Aiden in high regard, so getting Aiden on his side would eventually bring Varian to it too. Aiden is very aware of it and is fine with it as long as Hugo isn't actively trying to get them hurt.

oc silly fun fact game ( ๑˘ω˘ )

OK onto the silly facts:

simon:

simon's first language is actually spanish (despite my being awful at it) and it slips out every so often. usually when he's half asleep or frusturated (much like gene's accent, which i'll get to later). a lot of his cursing is done in spanish, and archie finds its adorable if not a little scary. sometimes, simon will sleep talk in spanish and archie uses his 4 years of highschool spanish to try and talk back. it usually goes like this.

simon, very much asleep: voy.. voy a ir a la nevera.. (i'm.. i'm going to go in the fridge..)

archie, stifling laughter: tendrás frío, ¿no? (you'll be cold, won't you?)

simon: no. llevo calcetines. (no. i'm wearing socks.)

[cue archie dying of laughter and simon simply turning over and going back to deep sleep]

archie:

archie fully, wholeheartedly believes aliens exist. his rationale is "if i can survive a literal poison being injected into my body and get super powers, who am i to deny that there's life on a different planet." simon is more neutral on the subject, but archie sometimes spends hours talking his ear off about what it would be like to actually meet an alien.

archie has an alien on his keychain too. he just loves the idea of space, incase you can't tell by his star wars obsession. still, as i mentioned in the previous oc question post, he prefers sunbathing more than star gazing because whats better than billions of small stars? one HUGE star that lights up the entire sky and radiates warmth.

gene:

gene's mother was born and raised in louisiana and had a THICK southern accent. his father was a ranch hand so when he was little, he spent almost all of his time with his mother and because of that, sometimes a louisiana accent peeks through when he's talking. it usually happens when he's speaking fast without thinking, like if hes angry or happy or upset. cassidy finds it incredibly endearing.

when gene's real drunk, it gets even worse. everything he says comes out as a slurred jumble of contractions and hiccups and by that point, not even he can understand what hes saying anymore.

cassidy:

cassidy's always been a little too cocky for his own good, but he'll never be over-confident with horses again. when he first got scotch, he went around to the entire gang bragging about how quickly he broke him in and that he and scotch were already completely bonded. when he was trying to show this to one of the other guys, he got behind scotch and gave his flank a smack, to show off how scare-proof he was, of course. this resulted in a swift kick to the groin and an inability to ride for the next week and a half.

cassidy now has a healthy respect for scotch, and keeps a healthy distance from his backside.

One of my first and favorite touhou ocs :33

Name: Jabali Yoritomo (頼朝ジャバリ)

Species: just a human!

Birthday: September 7, 1995 (currently 28)

Ability: ability to control Onibi (鬼火を操る程度の能力)

Theme: 春の食火鳥— 弥助の天才息子 (Spring’s Cassowary— Yasuke’s Prodigy son)

Jabali is Chiharuo’s, the fairy spring god, only son and currently his only human child. He was left on nameless hill as an infant after his ability to attract Onibi resulted in his mother being mummified from them stealing her life force. Chiharuo raised him as a Samurai (Chiharuo being his Daimyo), teaching as well to control his ability as not to hurt other absentmindedly.

Jabali is very coolheaded, almost stoic at times, but is a very caring man, as well as disciplined and careful. He tends to put his expectations way too high for himself, and failing to meet these can drive him wildly stubborn. Jabali is good with children and Yokai animals, but not normal animals. The Onibi that surround him constantly each have names and personalities mostly known to only him and his father. They get a little annoying at times with their constant desire to pull at his hair and clothes for attention.

His ability extends to all categories of Onibi, Including Aosagibi (the birdy heehee), but the more independent and formed it is, the more difficult it is to maintain control.

Kisume is a young yokai he’s taken on as an Apprentice/daughter figure, as like him she was left on nameless hill (formerly a human) and has Onibi abilities, but unlike him didn’t have any training or family. I mean god she lives in a bucket in a well. Kisume puts on a tough, aggressive demeanor, but in reality she’s just a scared feral child. He and her butt heads often, but they care about each other really. Except when he uses her as a projectile.

I’ll be honest I didn’t get that from the anime I got it from the Warrior cats video I used to watch over and over when I was younger.

Anyway. That’s my Jabali Bio. I made his theme a while ago, like back in may or so, and it does have some melody from the following songs.

I decided to answer the second one first since talking about OCs might take a while…

Rambles (and art!!) under the cut :)

I have a few different answers to this one! I definitely draw Legend from linked universe the most, but my favorite to draw is Link from Skyward Sword (both his normal design and his linked universe one)! But that is just when it comes to faces! My favorite outfit to draw at the moment is ALTTP Zelda’s!

and now on to the dreaded topic of OCs… I have a LOT. Some are connected to a loz au I’m sort of working on every once in a while and the other’s are from an original story that’s been fermenting in my brain since middle school… their designs aren’t finalized and neither are their personalities for the most part. I guess I’ll tell you about some from each?

ok! Here are Zelda and Link from my au! (These designs are months old and I’ll probably redo them completely at some point)

I don’t have much of the plot and personalities determined yet, with the exception of Zelda’s. She is pretty young and naive at the beginning, and is pretty timid too! She has to grow out of herself a lot and once she moves past her shyness she has a fiery spirit and a strong sense of joy at discovering the world around her. She is also a menace. You’d almost think she’d have the triforce of courage, but she still wields wisdom, though in a more decisive, instinctual way (almost like she is just following her gut) Sheik is a disguise she uses partly to hide from Ganondorf, and partly because she wants Link to think of her as someone more than the scared little girl he rescued a year earlier. Link, on the other hand, I have no idea how to portray. Much like Ganondorf in this au, his personality eludes me. I do know he is a bit grumpier and pretty serious, and has travelled all his life.

I don’t want to write too much, but I do have a lot of ✨thoughts✨ about them, if anyone is curious!

and as for my actually original OCs, I don’t have any good examples of their designs…

I don’t want to describe the entire plot, so I can’t explain most of the characters at all XD

my main villain however (tho he’s not exactly a villain), I can talk about! So the story is set in a sort of fantasy sort of medieval setting but the poor guy (I haven’t figured out a name for him yet) got sealed away for centuries… he used to be the chieftain of the nomadic tribe that dominated the island they live on, but centuries later with a king on the throne he is a bit out of place! (and also furious about losing everything he knew and loved) His main motivation is revenge against those who (to him) usurped his power and killed his wife and their yet to be born son. He is not at all aware that he is in the future and the very usurpers he seeks to destroy are his own descendants.

personality-wise, he’s a little out of his mind, and has a very sharp wit. He is very barbaric and a bit wild, but carries himself like a king. He has a lot of traits of the classic cool and calculating villain, but his main motivation is the love for his family twisted into a primal rage. When he’s angry he becomes hysterical and tends to speak almost softly, almost laughing, before exploding into anger.

oh, and he’s not exactly human anymore. He’s at this point, and through no fault of his own, basically sentient black mist that can talk and change form. He chooses to stay in the form of his human self however, but looks less so the more he gives up what humanity he has left.

he’s probably my favorite part of the story tbh.

Rambling:

This was very fun because it was so different from how I normally create ocs. Normally, I just get hit with random ideas and see what I can make out of them. I almost never do stuff like this because I usually can't follow through if I'm not actually passionate about the idea. But I did it this time! My favoritism towards theming characters after birds is really showing. Anyway, on to random character information. Lucas is specifically a Eurasian Eagle-Owl because Owl was only portrayed as a distinct species of owl once and it was an eagle-owl. He's Swiss! Of course I had to make him a history teacher. Some students question if his knowledge is actually accurate because of his UM. He's prone to long rambles during class. He constantly remembers how this relates to that, and how that relates to this other thing, and so on. Some students really hate his class because of that, but he does it because he genuinely loves teaching! He wants to share everything that he knows! He also writes children's books under a pen name. They're stories that he used to tell to his siblings, nieces, and nephews when they were little. Also yes he has feathers that pop out of his hair and look like little "horns".
