The Ninken: Ok some headcanons. All the dogs were adopted by Kakashi, except for Pakkun who was his dad’s pet before he died. Pakkun prefers to ride in his carrier than to walk in his older years. Akino, being partially blind, sticks close to his emotional support dog (Pakkun). Shiba is giving puppy eyes to Rasa in case he can get pets. Guruko being a naughty baby running between people’s legs. Bull is just chilling with his new collar—Kakashi replaced the spikes with pompoms for comfort. Uhei likes Lee best and stays close to him.

Headcanons about Shikadai that I buried deeply in my heart

He's very irritable person, but prefers acting nonchalant (like his cool dad)

His chakra is very limited, that's why he avoids using wind techniques so much (so people can't compare his fighting style with his mother's)

He has many interests, that's why he likes to watch over people with different talents (from Sarada to Metal)

He hates being compared to anyone and that's why he also despises stereotypical thinking and refuses to read news (especially Suna's papers that go over Shinki and Gaara's life on every day basis)

He doesn't know, what kind of person he wants to become. He's completely lost in the narrative about who he should be.

"busy day huh." most days, she's thankful the hospital staff already knows her preferred brew—dark, hot, bitter.

"you wouldn't believe what just happened though." shizune sips her iced latte. "sasuke asked for your schedule."

sakura takes a beat to reply, savoring instead the aromatic notes that slowly wake her 18-hour-shift-riddled senses. "oh yeah. we agreed to discuss new chore arrangements."

"you're living together."

"he's sleeping over."

"living. together."

"should i blush?" sakura winces. "besides, it has only been a few months. well, a year."

shizune slaps her back and leaves in a giddy. "you're already blushing, lover girl."

"hey thanks for dropping these off." naruto grins at her through towering stacks of folders.

"we really should organize a courier system or tap into those digital things gaara has been using in suna."

"totally agree with you." he hands her a chocolate bar. for a few minutes, they pass the sugar supply back and forth, grateful for the silence and the little indulgent treat from olden days.

"by the way, sasuke has been asking some weird things."

"such as?"

"like your favorite color, favorite food, favorite music." naruto gets the last chocolate cube. he cracks it into uneven halves and gives the smaller one to her, as usual. "so i told him mine are red and shoyu ramen."

sakura laughs and pops the piece into her mouth. "back to work, future hokage-san."

"where's ino?"

sai hands her an apron and an order slip. sakura releases a petulant sigh, rolls her eyes, and begins to pick the flowers listed. she waits until sai settles on the presentation and prods again.

"supplier issue." he shows her a peony and a carnation.

"the peony definitely."

sai shrugs and finishes off the bouquet. "we had a curious customer earlier."

"hmm?"

"sasuke came in. he said he didn't want reds. it would be too obvious, he said. so i suggested whites."

"mums?"

"uh-uh and roses and lilies."

sakura turns pensive at this. "he must have bought them for his family." she smiles at sai and pats him on the shoulder. "you're sometimes kind-hearted, aren't you?"

sai's fixed smile fades. "sakura, he didn't—"

a customer dings the bell and sakura, already sensing sai's intention, slips out of the boutique like a true swift kunoichi.

"haruno-san."

"yes, i know it's midnight and i need to go home."

the guard loiters by her door. "actually, you have a visitor. he's at the wisteria arch."

"oh? but it's so late. can't this wait until morning?"

"it's the uchiha ma'am," the guard purses his lips, "he's been camping since eight in the evening."

sakura runs. she hates running in corridors, particularly when half of the people are asleep, but she manages to reach the grounds without an ambush diagnostic or a surprise checkup.

sasuke is waiting. there is a picnic blanket in a hideous shade of bright red under him, a basket, a bouquet, a bottle of wine that must be lukewarm by now.

"shizune said you were free tonight," he said.

"what's all this for?" sakura has to catch her breath. she sits across him and takes him in. gorgeous, even under the pale moonlight.

"i never got the right answers." sasuke pulls every item out of the basket. thermos for hot water, instant ramen packs, dango, a lunchbox that smells like curry, spring rolls. "i don't know exactly what you like. i don't know if you still like the food that you liked when we were kids."

"i still have a sweet tooth," sakura chuckles as she reaches for the dango.

"but i noticed you always ask me to cook curry and you never fail to look for spring rolls." 

"because you cook curry the best, sasuke-kun, that's why i love it the most."

he avoids her chiding glance and hands her instead the bunch of daffodils. "i also don't know if you still like these flowers. you would pick them up in the forest, remember? trying to make me and naruto and kakashi wear these crowns of yellow blooms."

sakura laughs at the surfacing memories. "they're very beautiful, sasuke-kun." she basks for a while in the afterglow of his awkward yet patient persistence as he scoots closer to her side and slowly brushes her fingers against his in reacquaintance.

"what's with all these though? what did i miss?" sakura entangles their hands together, his thumb caressing her knuckles.

"happy anniversary."

"..."

"..."

"fuck."

"not here sakura."

"i forgot about it! fuck!"

"it's okay, let me." sasuke plants her down with a hand on her cheek. "you're busy, and there are few things in life i look forward in celebrating."

"i'm so sorry."

"i think it's me who has to apologize. i haven't nailed down everything."

"well, we've got the rest of our lives to figure that out."

sasuke hides a smile. "that's a plan."

It is used to confess to someone you like while under the moon. This phrase is a more poetic way of saying 'I love you'. [it's also an indirect way of saying "I love you"] Japanese itself is a very "indirect" language. You don't have to admit things directly because that's impolite or rude. Why I say that is bcz, Kishi place them under the full moon to share their feelings indirectly and also directly. Japanese people prefer indirect ways of expressing their feelings and emotions. A relationship starts when people tell each other their feelings. Expressing your feelings through words has not always been seen as a natural thing. People express their love and affection through their actions. [Although the main ways of expressing love in Japanese culture differ from Western culture]

What does "friend" mean to you??

The word Naruto using was 痛く(itaku) meaning- exceedingly or extremely pain. It's not just 'Ouch! It hurts!' kind of pain. It means HE IS IN "EXTREME PAIN". The magnitude and intensity of that 'pain' is so overwhelming that it affects your body and mind.

What was the reason for Naruto & Sasuke's pain to be more emotional??

N. B. When Naruto says that he understands the pain of Gaara's loneliness and Gaara says that he feels pain in his heart... the word used for pain in both cases is 「痛い」 (itai). 「痛く｣ (itaku) is a similar word, but with a more intense and deeper meaning.

Because of those words Naruto says to Sasuke, his face feels a mixture of emotions: touched, or surprised. Sasuke's expression here is probably one of the most emotional expressions you have ever seen. This made him confess his feelings for Naruto (And It was hella poetic (༎ຶ⌑༎ຶ)

In Sasuke's monologue his words are very deep and intense (the choice of Kanjis are complicated). It is also way too direct and carries a lot of intimacy.

Raw: そしてなぜだか安心したんだ

Romaji: soshite nazeda ka anshin shita nda

Literal: And I don't know why, somehow.... I felt relieved.

Raw: だがそれは．．．同時に弱さだと思った

Romaji: daga sore wa ... dōjini yowa sada to omotta

Literal: But... at the same time... I thought It was a weakness.

Raw: だから・・お前の苦しむ姿を見る度・・そう・・・オレも---

Romaji: dakara ... omae no kurushimu sugata o miru tabi ... sō... ore mo...

Literal: that's why. . . Every time I see you appearing to be suffering. . . that's right I, too...

Sasuke also using the same word 『痛く』 and both of them were in such intense pain that words couldn't explain how much it was. It really gives- "If you truly love someone you can feel every joy, sadness and pain of the other as if they were your own". Once you get that, it's easy to understand his reaction to Naruto saying he felt his pain. Sasuke reacted that way because he realized his love was reciprocated. That this feeling of 'friendship' that Naruto was going on about was the same thing that Sasuke had been feeling all this time and it was never friendship. It was more than that. And It was love.

oh this is like opening pandora’s box. i have alot of thoughts on it but i will try to keep it simply.

my honest opinion is that both sides are veryy biased.

team 7 stans fear to admit that sasuke cared for team taka even if there’s proof he did because most of team 7 stans are shippers and shippers tend to not like admitting that sasuke does care for other people outside of the character they ship him with. which is not new i mean i see people claiming sasuke loves more naruto/sakura than he ever loved itachi and it’s just not true. again, it’s just a shipping thing i see because i assume they like the “character hates everyone but you trope ❤️” when it definitely doesn’t fit sasuke. they act like sasuke had no choice to be a team with taka when he himself chose them because he wanted them with him. (ik this gets ss especially heated after sasuke rejected sakura when she wanted to come with him. just to later sasuke pick a team that included a girl in it lol) it’s just annoying and honestly pathetic so o ignore them all the same.

on the other hand, team taka stans claim than sasuke never cared for team 7 post part 1 and act like naruto’s feelings are completely one sided. and while it’s true sasuke cared for sakura and kakashi in part 1 and later managed to cut his bonds with them, this is not the case with naruto because sasuke HIMSELF states it. taka also gets too fanonized because ppl see taka supporting blindly sasuke and think that it’s how team 7/naruto should act when that completely ignores that well, sasuke’s path is not free of flaws and his self-harming actions aren’t really smth to ignore. again, taka’s devotion for sasuke is a very blind one, while naruto’s devotion can be a kind of selfish at times, it at least keeps him awake when sasuke is doing smth that’s self destructive. also as perfect as ppl say taka are, they ignore that sasuke doesn’t return the same devotion to his teammates. he’s not completely honest with his goals (as we see him only telling obito in private that he wanted to slaughter everyone in konoha and prior he had been just feigning in front of taka when he said he just wanted the take down the elders only.), he also left and cut them off during the 5 kage arc and he didn’t have any intention of going to seek them again, only after they seek him first he accepted them back to help them. and like Yes, sasuke cares for them as a team as he did for team 7, since we can see him fighting for them in their fight against bee with the same determination he wanted to fight for team 7 in their fight against gaara. but there’s still a disconnect between them. and this is ignored by stans that also blatantly deny that naruto is special to sasuke in a way nobody but itachi is even when sasuke himself is the one saying this and individualizing naruto from team 7 in a way he doesn’t do with any other in team 7 AND in team taka.

so to put it simply, sasuke has show care for both teams but neither team is perfect and there’s things to criticize in each of them and personally it’s what makes them fun! i get having preference everyone has it but this discourse just has both sides acting biased and denying sasuke’s actual characterization to fit either of their agendas

He doesn't know which way is the best way to cuddle. If he faces away from you he feels like he's being cold but deep down he wants to be held. If he faces at you he doesn't know how to act but he does want to hold you too, until he realizes you could just lay on him instead! He can hold you n you can hold him but doesn't have to feel obligated to make eye contact or anything, Also so he can hide his smile since he got to be tough yk

Always sprawled out on your lap or hanging on to you from your shoulders, almost like a back hug. He peaks his head out from your neck to see what you're doing. The only reason he would sprawl out on you is if he's tired he falls asleep in like 4 seconds. And snores...really loud. But he thinks it's nice you let him sleep anyways

Let's be honest, he's asleep before you can even get into a position. But if he is awake he prefers to spoon you so he can "protect you" he says. In reality he just likes holding your waist, also so he has room to kiss your cheek whenever

He honestly wouldn't care as long and you were both comfortable and happy, he mainly wants you to be happy actually. But if he had to choose a favorite it would be you laying on his chest. He likes that fact that still be on guard if something happens but can still cuddle, also he likes running his fingers up your back softly

"I refuse to be apart of a time wasting activity when I could be working!" "Shut up and get in bed neji." "...fine". He acts like he's so bothered by cuddling but in reality he would break if you stopped asking for them. He doesn't like cuddling laying down he's scared he will let his guard down to far, so you try to cuddle while just sitting. He rests his head on your shoulder mostly. Also refuses to admit but he wants you to play with his hair, so every time he lays on you he starts fiddling with his own hair until you do it for him.

With enough begging and food you can pick whatever cuddle position you want. One time you asked if he could lay on your chest and he was so scared of hurting you, but you assured him that's what you wanted. He finally rested on you waiting for you to chime in begging him to get off but to his surprise you let out a content sigh. "Your like a heated blanket choj" you comment while a smile grew on both of your faces. From now on that's your signature cuddle position

Gaara⏳-*

Took a while to convince him to try but once he agreed you had to explain it all. "We just lay down and relax together, hold each other if you want!" He raised an eyebrow "what if I don't want to relax though...?" You chuckle at his worried tone "I'll protect you don't worry nothing will happen, just come lay down". Once he's situated you slowly reach your arm over to pull him close. He squints in reaction but once he finally realized that this wasn't as bad at all he loved it. more specifically he loved being in your arms. Every now and then he'll demand "hold me."

Kankuro🪆-*

Dude doesn't even ask he just grabs you and prays you're not in a bad mood, most of the time you're not. He holds you as close as possible to his chest so he can leave kisses on your forehead or kisses on your neck, sometimes you reach up to playfully pinch his cheeks or pull him by the hair to get a real kiss before relaxing in his arms. He secretly loves when you touch his hair especially when you pull it

Occupation - Gaara's ideal partner would either be a civilian or someone who is involved in state politics (for example, a member of the Council). Knowing how dangerous the life of a shinobi is and how many enemies he has out there, I don't believe he would ever fall for a ninja.

Looks - while I don't think Gaara particularly cares for looks and appearances, his s/o has to be more or less presentable (especially if they are to be seen next to the Kazekage). I've always imagined him with a s/o, whose style resembles the style of the ancients- clothes made of white linen, gold jewellery (especially jewelled collars and bracelets), and different hair accessories, symbols of their status in the village. I also definitely see his s/o wearing makeup as both a way to protect their skin from the harsh climate and a way to compliment their look.

Personality - the ideal partner for Gaara has to be someone who is calm, gentle, and cares for the people, just as much as him. They definitely have to be patient (being in a relationship with him would definitely require a lot of patience!) and understanding person, who is able to accept him for who he is and what he has done in the past. Now, if his s/o is involved in politics of some sort, I definitely imagine them as someone who is calculating and cunning as well. While Gaara has years of experience as a Kazekage, I don't think he is a political strategist, so his partner would usually be the one influencing the other members of the Council or important figures from other villages, in order to further Suna's best interests.

➤ Itachi

Occupation - healer or a civilian, who lives a life completely dissociated with that of a ninja. Preferably someone who lives far away from the Land of Fire, in a remote village or by themselves, and also had never heard of him or his clan before.

Looks - I think Itachi would fall for someone who is very soft and innocent looking - someone who more or less remind him of his mother. As someone whose main occupation is to gather herbs or do some type of craft, I imagine his s/o preferring more simple clothing, in which they can move freely and comfortably. They would probably have tons of amulets/jewellery on them, the majority of which are heirlooms left by their family. Their style is what I would describe as "bohemian" with an emphasis on organic elements and nature.

Personality - I think Itachi's ideal partner is someone who can serve as some form of escape for him - a free-spirited and optimistic individual, who can offer a different view of the world. They have to be caring, sweet, and respectful, especially when it comes to Itachi's personal space. I think he would appreciate having someone, who won't poke their nose in his business too much and press him to open up to them before he is ready. Still, his s/o has to be someone confident, loyal and also very honest. He would benefit from someone, who would tell him openly what they think and would be his pillar of support in moments when he dwells in self-doubt and regret over the past.

➤ Kakashi

Occupation - there is a 99% for Kakashi to fall for a fellow shinobi or at least someone who had worked a shinobi at some point in their life. His work is pretty much his life, so I definitely see him with someone who can understand how demanding this job is, as well as how it can affect people's lives.

Looks - as long as their s/o does NOT resemble Rin or an Uchiha, he doesn't care. If his s/o is a ninja, they would probably wear the same shinobi attire as him most of the time. If they are not a ninja anymore, I imagine Kakashi with someone who still puts some effort in their appearance, but they don't overdo it. Not a "must", but I do imagine him with someone with either shoulder-length or long hair, so he can run his fingers through their locks as a gesture of love or while falling asleep.

Personality - his s/o has to be someone who is strong-willed, honest, and has a deep sense of community and caring about the people close to them. I imagine Kakashi being with someone who can easily take the role of a "parent" or "the wise adult" (as he has to do quite often) and who doesn't shy away from their responsibilities. His s/o has to be someone who he can share his burdens with and who would stay by his side through good and bad. I imagine Kakashi being with someone with a strong personality, who can sometimes act before they think, yet they always have others' best interests in mind. They would often have strong opinions of stuff and while this can lead with occasional clashes with Kakashi, he would appreciate their honesty and their willingness to argue for what they think it's right.

About that Naruto is Uchiha catnip and probably fucked 75% of the Uchiha clan thing... What job did he ultimately become ultra successful in? Or does he have multiple jobs he is ultra successful in? Like he took an acting job as an extra and then got noticed and started getting better roles, initially got typecast in sunny, optimistic, happy-go-lucky characters, then had a breakout role with a villainous character and his acting was so good it made everyone shit their pants, thus getting rid of the typecasting problem, and launching an exceptional acting career with a diverse and memorable portfolio of characters and a fuckload of awards. He does modelling and dancing, and as fans have noticed, has amazing handwriting and started showing off his calligraphy skills on his profile time to time as well. Has a preference for traditional clothes with a modern twist so his style is pretty distinct and he is known for his iconic kimono-suit fusions. He's like Snoop Dogg.... Appearing everywhere and doing everything including a channel where he takes care of his extensive greenhouse and a series of children's books with the Nine Bijuu collaboration with other notable personalities being the most well known. The books were so popular that these nine, including SandCo heir Gaara, Rapper Kirabi etc actually wrote a nine part novel series with each one writing a single book in the series and the last one, the Juubi being a combined effort. Basically Naruto was always overshadowed by his brilliant family but when he struck out on his own even he couldn't have predicted how extremely successful he would end up being. So the so called Black sheep to the family was a Red Fox in disguise.
