Sorry, for the delay in responding!

I went camping with my family for Easter and had no service out in the mountains. I had to climb upwards towards the bathroom to get some bars, which was a bit of a hike.

so. uh. yyyyyeah. when i said i liked all interpretations of their dynamic equally i uh. i lied. and to be totally and completely and 100% honest with you it speaks volumes to the state of the internet that i have been legitimately afraid to say that like i've genuinely been debating and turning it over in my head and arguing with myself about it for days because i don't want people frickin' YELLING at me and telling me to off myself because i like a dadgum fictional ship but it's valentine's and my friend has been hyping up the crap outta me so i'm past the point of having a reasonable excuse to chicken out (and i know myself and if i don't do it today then i likely won't do it at all)

anyway words actually cannot express how obsessed i am with post-o66 aus in which they stay together (largely because i so completely refuse to believe they'd be willing to split up after THAT, ESPECIALLY that soon) so yeah shoutout to the softest fluffiest gut-punch-iest pair in the galaxy to whom everything bad has happened but who stay silly despite the horrors

Homicipher ft. Ryuuka rough drawings...plus some ramblings below! (there will be spoilers from the game btw)

I've always loved otome games but I didn't expect to like this game this much when I first watched a playthrough of it. Like, I didn't even know it was an otome game when I clicked on the video to watch it! I thought it's a normal horror vn game djdhdjvdjd

Anyway, I'm lowkey obsessed with these freaks. I especially like the four characters above so far. And I didn't get to draw them here but I like Mr. Chopped, Bride, Mr. Gap and Mr. Machete too! Also, this might already be expected of me, but I love the MC(Adami) too, they're so interesting!

Since I ended up liking it a lot and I also needed to get these wiggles off my brain, I ended up cooking some not-so-serious AU where Ryuuka gets isekai'd to their monster world. I chose Ryuuka because I know she would thrive there (she has quite the homicidal/murderous tendencies/urges, only kept at bay by her pursuit of knowledge + following her twin's moral compass) and can be a freak like Adami too fkhfmdbdnd so I thought it'd be interesting to yeet her in there!

I can imagine she's initially wearing her standard outfit at first (labcoat + black turtleneck dress), but at some point, it would be replaced by the raincoat since the labcoat would be soaked with too much blood (shoutout to Bride for the raincoat supplies). She's still wearing the turtleneck dress underneath because I don't think she'll fall in the water with those hand monsters, so she won't need a change of clothes for that one.

In terms of language learning, she's a pretty smart cookie, so she'll figure it out quite fast. So there's no problem there.

As for how the whole deal with Mr. Scarletella happened: I can imagine that since Ryuuka is a yakuza boss/assassin, she ends up dumping dead bodies of her victims in this strange but convenient building. Because somehow, the bodies dumped there are never found, which is a win for her. But then it turns out that that place is Mr. Scarletella's teritorry 😭😭 and he thought that those dead bodies that Ryuuka has been dumping to his place were offerings for him ("F-for me?! 🥺✨❤️" type of bs). That's why he ends up obsessed with her like in the og, so now he's chasing her down to get her name...👁️👄👁️ (deja vu...ive been in this place before...i can make a 🐥🍎 au out of this---)

Also another thing I wanna mention is that I firmly believe that Mr. Silvair and her would get along as both people of "science" dmbdmdbdnd but I must admit I need to re-watch and analyze his route and endings more, since I feel I'm still missing a few things abt him.

For Mr. Hood, I think she appreciates him teaching her about the language and him carrying her around when she does accidentally gets chibi-fied. In general, she appreciates people who are patient with her and people who knows when to stay quiet. The same would apply for Mr. Crawling though he's a bit on the chatty side. Ultimately, she also doesn't mind having a puppy-like character like him following her around.

Laying out my vision for a Julian and Ezri post-breakup friendship that forms over long distance after a bit of a period apart. They both thrive on being able to shoot random thoughts at each other in text form, and so their dynamic really flourishes across the reaches of subspace and each of them assumes as position as one of the other’s closest friends and confidantes. However, although fitting themselves into couple form was not ideal for them, I do not think friendship would “fix” them, but rather that they would foster some of the same codependency and general weirdness about each other that they did as a couple.

At the time when they first got together, they represented a breath of fresh air for each other. He had a sense of fun and general silliness that I think genuinely appealed to her, as someone prone to getting in her own head at times, and he was drawn to her innocence despite eight lifetimes worth of worldliness (as his dialogue with Miles suggests) and the fact that she was relatively new to the war that had been grinding everyone down. Post-canon, they retreated into their own little bubble, because their closest friends had left and in being in command put Kira at a bit more of a remove from everyone. And Ezri especially had lost Benjamin, who was a major source of clarity and support for her, and so she leaned on Julian for the same thing. The bubble served them for awhile but eventually it started to run low on breathable air.

So the shape of their eventual friendship is that in some ways it’s based on the same escapism that defined their romantic relationship, especially given the way long distance friendship kind of exists out of time and the rhythms of day to day life. And he has a deep-seated need to Help and she’s fiercely loyal to people she perceives as Her People, so they extend themselves way too far to in dealing with each other’s problems. She pushes herself to be a cheerful buffer when he’s depressed or bogged down with work, because it’s a reprieve from her own life, and when she’s in crisis mode or having doubts about the direction her life is taking, she’ll fall back on him, because they were so intimate at a vulnerable time in her life. And he’ll stay up until 3 am talking her through it and neglect his other relationships and responsibilities, because he’s really bad at setting boundaries around that and because being the strong and calm and collected one feeds his self-image. (And because after watching Jadzia die and not being able to save her, he’s not going to be able to be normal about Dax ever again, and the protective impulses are extremely hard to resist.)

They’re both willing to throw a lot aside in order to come to the other’s aid when needed, and it’s a testament to the strength of their bond, but it can also be a liability.
