'ohhh my goddd.'#eg the 'fear of the russian mob or intimacy' line. everyone else is like 'fuuuuuck'#absolutely iconic to me that she copied kenny rogers lyrics and apparently thought nate wouldnt notice #her and eliot are both so dramatic lol. she refuses to even say the WORD politics and he claims watching her play was worse than torture.#levcountdown

#poorly drawn mdzs #mdzs #lan wangji #jin zixun #wei wuxian #su she #(Su She needs to have his carrie moment before he can have his Carrie Moment.#Which means he needs to exist as a punching bag before he can hit 'em with the rebound).#My first draft of this comic had WWX slurping LWJ's wine per actual scene canon #As it really is a great scene of how WWX is willing to absorb the scandal and harm that befalls others.#It had a lot less to do with it being LWJ and more so that WWX just happens to be the kind of person who refuses to turn a blind eye.#It could have been any Lan who was being pressured (inappropriately) to drink (do not pressure anyone to drink irl PLEASE).#Because this is a romance plot it of course *is* LWJ. But don't forget that in this moment they aren't on great terms.#It's not a knight in shining armor moment - it's a 'you were being treated unjustly and I have the power to absolve you from that.'#And as we are very soon about to see - WWX certainly cannot turn away from those who need aid he can provide.#And like Jin Guangyao; that kindness is also his downfall.#By the way - that you all for the amazing community commentary on the last comic. I really loved reading everyone's thoughts!#Suyao shippers...I get it now. You had me at 'wen ning and WWX parallels'. #Prowl deserves that #especially since they all keep expecting him to behave like a crazy scared horse/j #I was spending a lot of time watching videos and reading articles about wild and captive orcas #sorry it's a bit unrelated just don't mind the tags kflgmdbd #yeah so. I remember going to aquarium a bunch of years ago and seeing those performances #I was absolutely AMAZED by orcas because as a kid I was kinda obsessed with them haha #watched a lot of documentaries. all about wild orcas #so shortly after I went to the aquarium I tried to look for their stuff on the internet. some recordings and photos and names of the animals #there were A LOT of people SCREAMING around that content. Telling everyone that those animals are abused and suffering #-and shouldn't be held captive. Calling the aquarium “the orca prison” and stuff #I remember how annoyed I was seeing them. Because the staff cheerfully told me that “see they live happy they have a lot of food and-#-and nothing to worry about. What else can they want?“#I was so pissed at those “crazy hysterical eco activists” because they were actively ruining such a fun place #Now when I know better I wish I could meet those people and thank them #they got what they were fighting for. well. mostly they did #Hunting orcas is illegal now thanks to them #and breeding stopped too #they refused to let their last surviving Orca free (she was caught. not born in captivity) but they stated they won't try to get more orcas #Every time I see something about wild orcas it's so amazing and every time I see what humans do to them it gets more horrible #With all that said. If someone is still reading this haha. I now have another idea for a character who's gonna suffer immensely #because I went to see what exactly those activists vere fighting against and now I have some fresh fucking ideas

I decided to give lamb a nickname! I realized for like 95% of the story they won’t be using their actual name (and would react poorly to anyone using it) so I needed Something for Narinder to call them because he’s kinda nosy and wouldn’t believe they had forgotten their name at this point

This will tie into a future comic :)

i'm rereading asos, and i think shae and varys are an underrated bromance. i realize that neither feels any sense of loyalty to the other, but in a different way i do think they are friends. the way they joke around together behind tyrion's back. varys subtly but genuinely complimenting shae's intelligence the first time they meet. the way shae seems impressed by varys rather than frightened of him. the fact that varys, who normally guards his secrets closely, is fine with showing shae exactly where the entrances to his secret passageways are, and even demonstrating to her how they work.

and on a meta level, the way both of them are normally either overlooked entirely, seen as a threat, or seen as an object of aggressive and violent sexual fascination by the people around them... but seem to see each other for who they are.

maybe they aren't bosom companions, but for two characters who are both so profoundly isolated otherwise, the fact that they seem to sincerely enjoy each other's company and feel some amount of respect for each other (in the brief time before everything goes to shit) is really wonderful in and of itself. unlikely bffs.

Pre transition Vanya choosing Viktor because it was the name Five was supposed to have. He chose it to rmr his brother and Five being shocked when he comes back. He isnt surprised at his brother transitioning, Viktor had already told him about all those thoughts when they were younger anyways.

He’s surprised he chose that name. Five himself had refused the name in rebellion to their father and demanded that their father give his sister a name instead of just Number Seven. That day she got Vanya. And then he wasn’t Vanya anymore but took on Five’s lost name in honor of him.

This AU is Viktor transitions when Five is gone btw

They'll never make me hate you Cementoss, underrated king. I wanted to have a crack at drawing a height chart with the Chiktoss family to settle how I want to draw Cementoss's proportions and I'm pretty happy with it!

I altered some things like removing his square kneecaps and gave his body more shape around the stomach, I like to think he's got a dad bod rather then just being...well, a cube with limbs
