||Overdue 2.1 Commentary (The Mess)

HSR Spoilers

I'll put it out here now I started 2.0/Penacony thinking I won't be emotionally attached to the characters. Do I like them? Yes, I do to the point I like to give my thoughts about them and their actions just like any other characters. Just not to the extent I would be having my heart strings snapped and used as a jump rope for H*yoverse as they revel in my suffering.

Everything about 2.1 story is still information overload for me so I feel like I'm still missing alot of stuff.

Minor stuff (1): Gameplay wise(?), I do like how they handled switching Character POV's and label it as Trailblazer Story Quest (yellow/gold plot icon). It did fee like they improved it from the beginning parts of Xianzhou main story where you had the option of playing Dan Heng side of the story (purple plot icon) even though it felt just as important main story wise. So that was nice to see.

Acheron & Welt

I'm not too familiar with HI3 and other game/stories relating to it. I can recognize a few references to it such as Acheron is definitely Mei in HSR universe, her Myraid Celestia Trailer is a reference to the Honkai invading "Earth"and the twelve blades are references to the Herrschers in order, and Acheron is a result of no Kiana(?) and she defeated/kill "Kevin"/End. So I cannot say much about any HI3 references between them other than the fact it was nice they met and somehow recognized each other secrets. It makes me think about again how lonely Welt must've felt seeing a familiar face but it's not the person he knows. At the very least Acheron can be someone he might be willing to talk to about his past. Keyword: might. Main story wise cause Penacony 2.1 so far (or overall since 2.0) is a detective-like story, their discovery of new clues in Sunday residence is very eye-catching when you confirm Sunday is aware of "Death" (the meme) and IT has been around for a long while. Robin and Firefly are not the first victims based on the notes, BUT it randomly attacks people anywhere at anytime with no pattern. Sunday himself is personally looking into this case, moreso since Robin is now a victim but he's discouraged and told to hold off on it by Old Oti (Alfalfa Family) until after the festival is concluded. Of course we also learn Sunday definitely loves his sister as he kept a Light Cone of her first performance when they were kids. But more interesting is Robin letter. We find out why her voice is different not because of health-related reason, but because of the "Harmony in Penacony is not pure". She knew something was going on in Penacony and came to the conclusion there is a traitor in the Family. She was going to join her brother and go over what information she had, but unfortunately as we saw at the end of 2.0 she got caught by "Death". :((( Also what I find interesting about Robin "voice" is that she's far more sensitive to the "Harmony" to notice something was wrong compared to Sunday, as we saw both siblings are capable of using Harmony power by a "voice". But so far I haven't seen Sunday confirm if he noticed anything wrong with his "voice" unlike Robin. Makes me wonder how close she is to Xipe...

Aventurine & Ratio (Aventurine Boss Fight)

This was like the big bulk of 2.1 story where Aventurine is pretty much the main character. I will admit it does feel weird we're getting to see alot of Aventurine backstory at once before getting to read his character story, but again- He's the star of the show here. We're seeing Aventurine making the biggest bet of his entire fucking life here. Starry did warn me beforehand his story will be tragic but I did not expect for a seven course dinner of tragedy and angst to be shoved down my throat. Because at the beginning with Aventurine and Ratio??? They were a duo who got along pretty well despite their contrasting personalities. It could be years of working together, or they're more alike than they admit. Also I love the sandbox pit, because it was so funny to watch a giant Ratio helping out this itty bitty Aventurine wandering in Golden Hour city replica. The NPC's T-Posing bothered me more than needed...As they should (T-Pose for dominance). Then the big fucking thing happened during the meeting with Sunday where Ratio "sold" Aventurine out and I was ready to throw my phone like: DAMN. But also I had to stop and think about it carefully, because ??? That isn't Ratio style. He can plot behind the scenes but that's for the sake of "students" to find a lesson to learn from it. Also! He would not risk people lives at that too and had a measure of safety net arranged. He's a Scholar who believes knowledge is for everyone and in all, a pursuer to find a cure for people "ignorance". Not play with people lives. Even if there is a chance he hates Aventurine, he wouldn't betray his own principles like that for greed. The obvious answer? Ratio "betrayal" is part of the plan. Aventurine obviously has a plan when Sunday interrogates him. Not going to lie, when Sunday pretty much put a death sentence on Aventurine, I was legit worried we were going to have another "death" happening. I will say I do admire Aventurine perseverance (HAH!) in trying to survive and fighting to the bitter end. And we do see! That his fight to live stems from his past from his childhood! His home planet is dying, his parents gone, his clan slowly dying off, losing his sister, sold as a slave, and eventually joining the IPC- Aventurine went through so much to survive! But we also see his survival comes to a price- the death of many he cares about. The guilt of being the only survivor combined with his sense of worth led to a disarray of thoughts we see in the quest description.

Unable to escape, unable to move on, unable to see his own worth, and unable to see his own future where he's still alive. In an illusion where he's facing his own selves, the past and the future as he marches onward, Aventurine came to find his own answer at the end: He wants to live. I'm still untangling stuff around the parts where Aventurine grand plan is to call a bluff for Acheron to unleash her true power and leaving a deep mark on the Dreamscape. I do know her power had effectively removed the Harmony placed on Aventurine thus saving his life from that. But the big point Aventurine had to Penacony regarding the "murders" happening is that: No one can "die" in a dream(?????). And it felt like he was taking a big risk with his life on the line to not only save his own life but to point to a bigger clue to the guests after the Watchmaker legacy: Who dunit? For Aventurine, his story has more or less concluded in Penacony. He's not dead despite it looking like he is accepting his "death" because again- You can't die in Penacony. I do know he'll return in the next story. And Dr. Ratio has full faith in his return, and it was??? Like I got chicken tendy that Aventurine looked relieved reading his note. Like there is someone waiting for him. BUT ALSO HE'S SAYING GOODBYE TO HIS PAST SELF TOO, I'M JUST AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. TLDR: Jade is not okay during the entire Aventurine portion of the story. I just wanted to cry and hold this bitch close, because this bitch is making me emotionally attached to him. AND HIS BOSS FIGHT WAS SO COOL. I was reminded of Childe Foul Legacy appearance with the beam shooting from his mask but Aventurine was his chest gem. Super nostalgic. I was just super bummed when I found out H*yoverse just nerfed his boss fight when I fought him. ;;w;; I really wanted to experience how hard he was based from what everyone was saying, but I guess that's what I get for taking my time. Though I guess they had to nerf it so people can continue the story.

Gallagher & Sunday

Gallagher background information about the Watchmaker. The tidbits I focused on is the fact Mikhail, who we've been hearing about since last patch, is actually the Watchmaker (Betrayer of the Family). If the Watchmaker title is inherited, and Mikhail is dead, who is the next Watchmaker? Is it Gallagher, one of his "children" or another individual? He never did explain, if he knows, how the Watchmaker are chosen. (I'm putting my bets on Misha because why not-). Minor Vent: When Gallagher answered the question of his age with "I'm Thirteen"- I prayed that social media peeps do not take it literally. Unfortunately, and I mourn for this, people did take it literally. Yes, you can disguise yourself in dreams, but come on. It's obviously means something else and how quickly, Gallaghter changed topics back to the original subject at hand before anyone can ask about it. The question remains that idk if it's been answered in-game or it's in other lore (Relics- I haven't read the Watchmaker relics lore yet because I haven't needed to grind that set yet): What did the Watchmaker do that was considered betrayal to the Family and earn their hatred? And what did they do for the Oak Family to have set them up to be branded as traitors? I haven't gotten a good grasp of Sunday character yet. The characters, except Robin, have a neutral to disdainful view of him. I can tell he manipulates to get things done for the sake of the Family, likes to be very much in control of the situation, and very much adores his sister Robin. But the confrontation between Sunday and Gallagher has me going unga bunga. The tension between them as Sunday reveals his suspicions about Gallagher, ripping apart his identity piece by piece to unveil a bigger puzzle. I thought it was another Sparkles disguise moment, or when Gallagher called Sunday "my brother"- I thought it was Robin and I was like HUH???? And then I realized it was something akin to mocking Sunday. Also Sunday calling Gallagher follower of Enigmata. I had to look it up because I was not too far into Gold/Gears/Swarm Universe to unlock the Aeon of Enigmata. Oh boy, that unlocks ALOT of possibilities for Gallagher. BUT ALSO GALLAGTHER AND DEATH MEME CONNECTION???? THAT LAST SCENE OF DEATH APPEARING AND STABBING SUNDAY? WHAT THE FUCK I GOT BLUEBALLED SO HARD AT THE CLIFFHANGER. Holy shit so Gallagher is definitely (99% likely now) one of the culprits here. The question does remain is: Who is Gallagher exactly? Because Sunday described so many pieces Gallagher had taken from 52 loyal members of the Family and made it into his own identity. What was the truth and lie he told us, the Nameless? And what did happen to Sunday??? Man. Oh Man.

Sam & Trailblazer

Man, I was like already 99% certain Firefly and Sam are the same people. But at the end where Sam revealed himself to be Firefly, I was the Trailblazer for that moment getting sucker punched into the gut. Like, Trailblazer had no breaks??? How long has it been since they saw Firefly got stabbed and disappeared, and shortly found out Robin was also stabbed? And then they had to be dragged all over Penacony to unveil the murders behind it? And then fight Aventurine??? Like legit they get no breaks and to find out Firefly, whom they consider a close friend and thought they were dead, is actually alive and part of the Stellaron Hunters? Man I would feel betrayed. I am curious to Firefly/Sam story though.

Minor tidbits to include:

-Sparkles answering Aventurine inquiry about the "mute" person that is not Robin, but somebody else. This is still stuck in my head. I'm just like: ????????????????????

-Baby Aventurine is too cute and pure for this world.

-Jade (I found HSR version of me everyone /j) is beautiful and I am willing to roll for her.

-Black Swan investigating Acheron! I wish this was explored more, but I know this will be a big plot in 2.2 since we heard Boothill voice! I'm curious to what kind of relationship Acheron has with the Galaxy Rangers. She is an imposter, but she continues to call herself a Galaxy Ranger. In Boothill case, he has a vendetta against her and plans to fight her. But also! It's confirmed Acheron did kill Duke Inferno and his children escape! And we heard Constance too!

-Also!!! My son Dan Heng makes an appearance...Over the Astral Express group chat asking if he needs to join them in Penacony and help out. ;;w;; Because everyone was worried about the Trailblazer not responding and obviously something serious happened. And Mom Himeko reassuring he's not needed for now, and Dan Heng trusting they'll let him know when they need him. ;;w;;

i'm sorry you aren't able to pay for watcher's new service. it was a tough decision for me too - i'm unemployed right now and had to look at my savings and decide to skip on buying a few things - but in the end i chose to support them. there are fans sharing accounts and gifting subs. some people in the fandom want to help with solutions but you can't hear them over everyone blaming watcher for suddenly being in the 1% somehow?? (they're not) this is still in beta mode so we all need to take a breath and see what they announce after seeing the feedback. but watcher didn't ruin the economy and make it so hard for people to get welfare and help - you need to contact some government officials for that - not shane's wife

You are fundimentally missing the point. And why are you feeding a problem when they have clearly show they dont respect their fans with their silence, and their employees and spouses snide comments.

The watcher hate train that you think is clouding my thoughts simply isnt. I look at other fans to see if i my perception is more then just automatic frustration. And its not. I think alot. I get heated when i feel theres injustice. But i think through every single thing in this situation for flaws in my own logic because i know people like you will say i am blowing out of proportion. dont patronize me with those arguements.

Yeah governement stuff isnt their fault but they know where the world is. Or atleast they should and they are choosing to bleeding their fans dry. I never said they were the 1% but they are rich. Being rich doesnt automatically put you in the 1 percent but it does give you a leg up to being safe.

I took a breath. I took a whole breath today and lived my life on an extremely small trip on a train. To get free samples from an event with a discounted ticket. I bought a single nice thing that i wanted and for the first time in three days i didnt think about this shit show.

I wanted to support them but seeing as they dont care that they are making

1. A bad decision that everyone except people like you can see

2. Using a base platform that is notoriously unfriendly to creators

3. Didnt respect their fans enough to do market research and give us a finished product or a timeline for things moving forward

4. Act like they are drowning while they are on a yacht. And show that yacht to the people they kicked out of a lifeboat. Then blame us for needing to get a slightly smaller yacht. (This is an analogy)

m'kay so -- mostly putting this together as both a quick look for new faces & a lil' refresher for those who've been following for a while but also as a general overview on not just how i run things but also on my muses, their portrayals, some blog updates, and so on! ♡ meant for clarity & hopefully ensure there's no confusion about certain things i may mention on the dash but always feel free to shoot me a message / ask for anything further! ♡

MARIA AURORA FLORES.

starting off with my main girl, my pride & joy, my sunshine incarnate. i write maria as someone very warm & with a whole mess of love to shower on those she cares about. she is achingly sweet, doting, affectionate; she adores her friends, adores her mama & sister, has a complicated relationship with her father. i've done quite a bit to flesh her out beyond what gun's put out for her in the slightest & i love where she's grown over the months since adding her onto the roster. she is my main / primary muse -- so know i constantly yap and ramble about her, i have headcanons and lore posts sprinkled all over the blog & the archived blog. i love & adore her as a muse and she's become both incredibly special to me & easily one of my absolute favorite characters to write as. that being said, with how much i've added to her, i view my portrayal of her as more oc at this point than a character of gun -- unfridged my girl, yanked her away from them and took off with her lmao alot of what i've built with her was both greatly helped by the dynamics weaved together with my affiliates / mains' portrayals which i'll get to later on ♡ but know some things may not carry over into interactions between my maria & any duplicates of my affiliates' muses!

ANA FLORES.

i haven't gone through much writing for ana yet -- but know when i do speak of ana in a general sense on here? i am specifically referring to my own ana & my personal flores' family lore! if i refer to other ana's in future posts i'll most likely note so either by, for example, ' renee's ana ' or if its to that point in plotting, then with a dynamics tag on the post! otherwise assume when i'm yapping about ana in general i'm referring to my own portrayal of her by default! c: ( note that all you cute ana mutuals are still more than welcome to interact with posts about her / her & maria / the flores' ♡ just something to keep in mind if i refer to her in a general sense in posts! )

DANNY ALEJO - OSORIO.

ya'll may know our just some guy danny by gun's canon of him -- danny gaines. the danny here however is technically my own portrayal of danny gaines that i developed before he was officially dropped & we got his last name. should i interact with others writing danny gaines? i'm completely gucci with considering my danny & gaines as entirely separate characters!

* correction : i now consider danny to be entirely severed from guns danny gaines and is, now, an oc fully. he is entirely his own character. otherwise, the speedrun of danny is as follows : danilo alejo-osorio is mexican-colombian, befriended maria in their early teens. he comes from a broken family with a very fractured & a.busive father, his mother returned to colombia and started another family there believing he'd have a better life staying in the states. he went through a very rough period hanging with a real shitty crowd of so-called friends, got into a shitton of fights, broke into homes and businesses with them, stole shit, broke shit, just in general not great influences. a break-in went wrong, his "friends" scattered, and he was arrested when the police showed up, and spent time in juvie for it. none of those friends ever came by. his father didn't, none of his family did. maria, her mother and ana, instead, were his constant visitors. and it was her coming to see him, her encouragement and push for him to do better is what finally made him realize he needed to turn his shit around. at the point of maria going missing & the house, danny's going to trade school by the southern coast for ship & underwater welding courses & training. he & maria are best friends. he is her ride, die, kill. gun noted once upon a time how strong dannys' devotion to her is -- my danny is very much devoted to her. he would kill for her without hesitation -- and not in his dire au's, even, but just in general. danny would do anything for those he cares about. any of the friendgroup.

THE FLORES FAMILY.

my personal take / lore is as follows basically : papa flores ( ramón ignacio ) & mama flores ( carmen ainara ) were long-term sweethearts whose marriage and little family seemed perfectly ideal. however, the closer that their eldest daughter, maria, got to her teen years, the sicker carmen started to become. she attempted to keep it under wraps, hush-hush from the girls' to not worry or scare them. but she was diagnosed with a lung disease ( p.ulmonary f.ibrosis fingerguns @ silver for same braincell lmao ) that is considered ( esp in the 70s likely ) to be terminal. while the girls' weren't aware of her being ill to that degree, ramon fully was. and the stress of coming to terms with his wife being sick and finding out that she may eventually pass due to it, so he claims, "caused" him to start an affair. carmen does find out, and ramon removes himself from the flores' family home to move in with his affair partner. maria, being forgiving and more gentle-hearted compared to ana, attempted to still paint him in a positive light so that ana wouldn't resent him. tried to give him the benefit of the doubt -- that he at least still did love them all. that he'd keep the promises to still be active in their lives, still show up when he said he would -- however, there's only so many excuses, so many promises broken, so many calls never ringing through, before that hope crumbles. ana would witness both her mother & maria deal with their fathers' heartbreak through closed bedroom doors, and it'd only make her despise him more for it. when maria later goes missing, ramon returns to try and help in whatever ways he can -- and ana is very unreceptive to him being there. he lost his chance in her eyes to play "dad" to them. and she makes it known clearly to him how much she resents him and reminds him he's got no place in their family, anymore. that he's there ONLY to help find maria and not to expect shit from any of them.

THE HEWITTS & THE SAWYERS.

by default, i say a giant fuck you to the difference in continuity's when it comes to the family! i write the hewitt's as an extension of the sawyer ( or, slaughter ) family tree. the hewitts & sawyers connected when luda mae married charlton hewitt sr. luda, in my personal canon, was born into the family through one of grandpa sawyers' many kids' he's taken in over his long-fuckin'-ass lifespan lmao alot of the family dynamics that are my canon here stem from lamb & i's back & forths. i find blending the various iterations of the family -- from originals to remakes etc -- as all just extended families to each other alot easier to work around and opens the door to more interactions with canons' from other versions of tcsm! c: i'm currently slow-piecing together a family tree of the hewitt-sawyers based on that blended concept. to the sawyers, luda is referred to by aunt or grandma ( sometimes ma luda, even ) and thomas is referred to as cousin tommy.

THOMAS & THE TITLE OF "L.EATHERFACE".

i was going to make this its own post but i'll add to this one instead. but with the idea of the hewitts & sawyers being just on massive family unit? of course there's the question of how the fuck do both thomas & bubba ( or other iterations of LF ) work then? i'd argue its primarily due to the fact that those who don't personally know them both don't know their actual names, and simply refer to them by the most notable feature -- the masks. with my thomas, yes, he does take faces of victims and he does wear them. however. thomas' skin condition -- flesh-eating disease / tumor growths on his face -- is why he wears his animal-leather half-mask. that half mask is his primary mask. he is almost always wearing that or varying versions of it. when thomas DOES skin someones' face to wear? it is almost always out of rage. hatred. it's done to intimidate. to unsettle. its from back in september but, one of my thomas' replies to kels notes this about thomas! the masks of both animal & human leather are still very much a part of thomas as i write him -- but, when it comes to the hewitt-sawyers being one family unit & thomas & bubba co-existing? "l.eatherface" becomes a title in a sense -- two giant motherfuckers who wear masks?? they get confused for one another. despite thomas being arguably much larger both being beefy & being 6'9 compared to bubba. they both don't really stray far from home. how often do outsiders get a chance to see them both separately let alone close to one another? likely not a common sight. it'd be very easy to spot one of them and then assume they are one in the same, honestly. that's how i go about things here, at least! it ties into more, again, of the back-&-forths lamb & i have minecrafted especially but, i'm all for altering that for specific interactions for those who don't want to meddle with all of that! (:

NANCY.

spooky momther will retain what her abilities have grown into by my personal headcanons across the board! however there are certain points to how i portray her that, from any posts about her i've made, are tied into lamb's johnny and so know that there will be differences in how she may be with other johnnys! i'm all ears to how different nancy & johnny's relationship can turn out! if theres anything i feel overlaps with other dynamics of theirs, i will let you know and we can work something else out c:

GENERAL PORTRAYAL NOTE.

mentioned it already but : all muses here are very heavily canon-divergent & built out from their canon lore by my own brainrot going wild with them all. with that in mind, i do just about consider each of my portrayals of these muses as my own oc's at this point with how much i've added onto them / built them up from literal nothing like in maria's case. i'm more than happy to either adapt how i write any of them to better fit into anyone elses' takes! and i'm more than happy to welcome more into the brainrot that i've minecrafted with the flores' or the hewitt-sawyers etc! that's something to come from plotting however! if we haven't really spoken ooc / etc then i default to a more general vision of the characters for the time being. i'm all up for taking different routes with new writing partners so please don't be shy about reaching out! c: if theres anything that conflicts with pre-existing personal lore of mine or is too similar to plots or dynamics i have already, i'll let you know and try to offer alternatives!

i am not going to be shipping maria in any romantic / intimate sense nor am i open to any prolonged captive plots & interactions with other portrayals of johnny sawyer. those types of dynamics & interactions i've decided from this point on to close that for my maria to lamb's johnny ( @johnnysslaughter ) ♡ there has been a lot of plotting & build up between my portrayal of maria & lamb's portrayal of johnny and their varying dynamics across verses / au's and their different trajectories. and because of how many different iterations of their dynamic has been pieced together, i personally am not going to be taking other plots / dynamics with other johnny's that fall under the same umbrella as the dynamic between our maria & johnny do -- again meaning, i personally won't be shipping romantically / intimately nor will I take on plots that run parallel to cold case / no one saved you re: maria being taken captive for a prolonged period of time with other johnnys. alot of this decision on my part is very much due to how much we have developed them together -- another big part of it is my trust & comfort level with lamb to explore those dynamics between maria & johnny. this doesn't mean we are exclusive to one anothers' portrayals -- i am happy to write with other johnny's! and lamb is welcome to interact with other maria's! but from this point onward, i will only ship maria & johnny with lamb. ♡

Shinsou waited at the train station for you once again tonight. You tried to give him a warm smile, but you couldn’t get the sad flower out of your mind. He approached you, a concerned look in his brow. 

“Are you okay?” his hand reached up to push your stray hairs behind your ear. You nodded lightly, but his eyes never left you. 

“Yeah,” you tried to shrug it off, “We were planting bulbs today.”

“And?” 

It became clear to you that he wouldn’t leave it alone until you told him, so you sighed and said, “One of the flowers was sad.”

He gave you a sympathetic smile, kissing your forehead soothingly. People walked passed you, looking at you in discontent, but neither of you paid any mind to them. 

“Why were they sad?” 

“That’s what is bugging me!” you said exasperatedly, “When I held it, it was warm. It had such a beautiful vision of growing. But it was sad. It wasn’t clear at first, but once my mind picked up on it- it was decaying. Dead roots and insects eating away at it. I know that we would never let the poor thing end up like that, but I’ve never held such a sad beauty like that.” 

Shinsou listened to you intently. You liked that about him. He never made you feel silly for things like this. He thought of plants like humans, just as you did. Or at least he understood your feelings towards them and matched you. He made you feel warm. 

“Sorry,” you laughed lightly, “We should get back to the house, I’m sure Nakoma is dying to see you.” 

“Firstly,” he said sternly, “You had to reason to apologize. I like hearing about your work and your quirk. I don’t want you to think you have to withhold all those things from me. I enjoy hearing it.” 

You giggled at his strict speaking before nodding, “Yes sir. And secondly?” 

“I- Did you just call me sir?” a small glimmer of a blush traced his cheeks, but he shoved it back down as fast as he could. 

“Secondly?” you sang innocently, pulling him towards the train doors so you wouldn’t miss it. Shinsou allowed you to pull him along. 

“Secondly,” he coughed awkwardly, trying to settle the slight arousal he felt from your words, “Secondly. I can’t wait to see her either.”

You watched with amused eyes as Nakoma ran happily to Shinsou, rubbing her body against his leg. He greeted her in a chirpy tone, leaning over to pick her up. She curled in his arms, purring loudly at his embrace. 

“Someone should write a love story about you two,” you said bitterly, kicking off your shoes and passing the threshold to your house. Shinsou’s laughter could be heard from the living room as you plopped onto the couch. 

“Oh come on,” he chuckled, setting the cat down before joining you, “Stop being so jealous of your cat.” 

You turned to him, “I am not jealous of my cat.” 

“Of course you’re not,” he said, but you knew that he didn’t believe his own words. 

“I’m not jealous of my cat!” 

“You so are!” he loudly laughed, “But it’s okay. I get it. She is very cute.” 

You gapped at the boy beside you, “Are you saying I’m not cute?” 

He stuttered, his mind turning into a giant thought bubble. You snorted at how animated his nonverbal reply was. 

“I can’t believe that you think my cat is cuter than me.” 

“I didn’t say that.” 

“You’ve kissed me, but you still think the thing that coughs up furballs is cuter than me,” you argued teasingly, “She licks her own butthole!” 

“I cannot believe we are having this argument right now,” he exclaimed.

“I can’t either!” you tried to hold back your laughter, “And here I was thinking that you liked me.”

“I-” 

He was cut off by you shaking your head sadly, “Really did it to me, huh? All this time together… just for the cat.” 

“Okay,” he laughed, “That’s enough now.” 

“I don’t know what you mean,” you said with a shrug, “I’m not the one attracted to a cat.” 

“I’m not attracted to your cat, Y/N.” 

You looked up at Shinsou after hearing how his voice had fallen. His eyes were entirely focused on you, bringing a bright blush to your face. 

“I was joking,” you said bashfully, “I was just playing with you.” 

Shinsou watched the way your shoulders tensed up at his gaze so, with a small chuckle, he whispered, “You’re so cute.” 

“Really?” you asked sheepishly as a small smirk struggled not to form, “Not my cat?” 

“Your cat is cute, yes,” he said. You were surprised by the way his tone didn’t change, “But you’re much cuter.” 

You smiled happily leaning into his body, “You’re full of shit.” 

He snorted, rolling his eyes at your bratty behavior, “Alright, calm it down.”

You giggled as you felt his arms wrap around your body and pull you towards him. You happily readjusted yourself to straddle his lap. He hugged onto your waist, pulling you against his chest. You sweetly pecked his neck, feeling the way his body tensed against yours.

“Wait,” he whispered softly, causing the two of you to break apart.

“I’m sorry was tha-” 

Shinsou pressed his lips against yours hastily. A static shock of surprise shivered down your spine, but you melted into his touch anyways. His tongue licked against your bottom lip, sweetly asking for entrance. For the first time, you didn’t have the power in you to argue with him. Instead you obediently granted him passage, feeling the way his lips so easily dominated your own. Your hands fell to his chest, absentmindedly undoing the buttons of his shirt. There were about four left before his hands reached out to grab yours and the kiss was broken.

“What-” he drew in a shaky breath at the feeling of your fingertips grazing across his chest, “What are you doing?” 

His eyes met yours, almost losing it all merely at the sight of your dazed expression.

“I just want a little more,” you whined, unable to stop yourself. Feeling his touch was dangerous to you. All your inhibitions were thrown to the wind the second he held you, and you weren’t sure if he knew the effect he held on you- but it was impossible to break free from. Not that you wanted to. 

Shinsou gulped at the sound of your needy tone. He had never heard you sound like that, and the fact that he knew that he caused it only fueled the fire. So he let his hands fall from yours, instead gripping onto the outer part of your thighs. 

His eyes watched your every move, the adrenaline pumping through his veins so rapidly he thought they were going to burst. Your hands gently pushed back his shirt, off the corners of his shoulders. The lighting accentuated every slight curve of his body, his collarbones glistened like a freshly cut diamond. You wondered if you would ever feel this amount of emotion for someone again. The hope burned your skin as his hands traced your jawline, redirecting your gaze back to his eyes. 

I want this.

I need more. 

“You’re quiet,” he chuckled, brushing his thumb against the curve of your lips, “I don’t think you’ve ever been this quiet.” 

Thousands of words fluttered in your chest. The moment’s air suffocated your lungs, blocking the ability to speak. 

He laughed, “I must be hot if you’re this quiet.” 

You let out an unamused snort, rolling your eyes at him. Instinctively your hand raised to push his shoulder, but the amount of force was feeble. His body continued to stand against yours as if it was made of stone. 

“Ah yes, who wouldn’t be turned on by the amount of ego you have?” 

Shinso laughed at you, “So you’re saying I am hot?” 

“I’m saying you’re annoying,” you corrected, but the way your hand dragged against the nape of your neck answered his question. Shinso’s head rolled back at the feeling, marveling in the emotions that rolled off of your body and onto his. 

“You like that I’m annoying,” he boasted as he dropped his forehead down to yours, leaning against you with a cocky smirk, “You can’t say that you don’t.” 

“I like that you match my energy,” you confessed, “I like that you don’t expect me to be different than I am.” 

His eyes widened at your confession, but when he felt your grip tighten against him he drifted back into himself, “So you’re saying you like me?” 

You groaned in aggravation at his never-ending cockiness, pulling yourself away slightly. Despite how you moved, you knew that you wouldn’t get far. Shinsou’s movements were immediate, pulling you back to his chest. With one hand caressing your chin and the other pressing the small of your back into himself, he kissed you once more. The way you melted into him and swayed perfectly in tune with his own motions felt almost like the most elegantly written poetry.

Kenma had noticed her crossing the street, his pace stopped slowly, while watching her walk with her head down. He felt a slight squeeze in his stomach at the moment, but he ignored the sensation because it was the usual one he felt when she was close to him, although he still didn't understand the reason completely. That evening he was alone, Kuroo had to come back before him for some commitments. In the last few days he had thought a lot about the situation, it was a mechanism he wasn't used to and therefore it was more difficult than expected, but Kenma was incredibly intelligent and he understood what he was facing. He didn't even notice, the words escaped from his mouth before he could even connect it to the brain, which was somewhat strange for him.

«Y/N,»

He saw her stiffen, he recognized his voice. She turned slowly, her lips tightening just as their eyes met.

«Hello, Kozume.»

Again, the voice that came from her lips was a faint flicker. At that moment, she wanted to curse herself for not being a little stronger in such a situation. But now she was destroyed by thinking too much, it was almost as if her brain was about to burst out trying to come up with a solution. She didn't want to appear like this to his eyes, not after what had happened.

She felt terribly selfish at just thinking about something so stupid, she certainly couldn't expect him to put aside his favorite pastime for something she claimed. She knew how good it made him feel, how difficult it was for him to be able to socialize with the people around him, because of the way he had grown up around his companions and not because of him. He had never told her directly, but she understood how things were. She had the opportunity several times to see it. She had learned to observe him, to see his gaze frown when someone said something he didn't appreciate, as the curve of his lips rose slightly in a short and spontaneous laugh and his gaze thinned, but no one noticed. Nobody besides her.

Precisely for this reason, in the period in which they began to tighten relationships, she was terribly surprised every time he responded to her stimuli, and perhaps she was not the only one to be astonished. She saw the amazement even in the eyes of the best friend of his, every time they went home together and Kenma spoke with her calmly, almost as if the wall that had been built over the years had started to crumble slowly. Seeing that twinkle in his big dark, attentive eyes always made her shiver a little.She believed it was a pity that no one could appreciate him for what he really was, for all those little things that he didn't show anyone because he was unable to do it. But she too had much more to learn from him. And it was terribly difficult, she had never found herself having to and wanting to remain so attentive to every little gesture, she had realized that she could make small progress even with giving him the slightest glance. Just as at that moment, so many ideas were whirling in her head but none of them seemed correct. The discussion she had a few days earlier had completely shaken her. She still remembered the feeling of falling into the void she had in those devastating minutes.

«Please, Kozume. Can you listen to me?» Y/N asked almost begging once again, nothing had gone well that evening. She just wanted to be listened, she wanted him to throw that console away for a moment and look into her eyes. Every day was getting worse, every day the time spent together seemed to decrease more and more and that he paid attention only to that stupid device. Did she really have to get to the point of having to be jealous of a piece of bright plastic? She was tired, terribly tired of the whole situation, but she knew that by getting angry she wouldn't get an answer. But after the boy began to respond with a «Give me a moment, just the time to―» the effect was immediate. She reached out and grabbed the console, placing it next to him, on the cold bench. Kenma was forced to look up at her, impassive as always. «Do I have to take the videogame out of your hands to get noticed by you? Have we come to this?» She didn't want to sound so nervous, her intent was to speak calmly and make it clear so that everything went well. Once again she received no reply. «Kozume, I.. am I enough for you? ― she asked, her eyes fixed on his ― Because I can't understand anything anymore, you just ignore me when I try to talk to you and... I want to talk to you, this thing pines me and I don't know how to make you understand it anymore. Am I enough for you, Ko'? I need to know if I did something wrong that led to this.» Y/N murmured, this time with a softer, almost destroyed tone, the tears that threatened to fall at any moment but that were still held back and the hands that held the edges of the skirt of the school uniform, the shoulders held tight. Kenma remained motionless for a moment. She couldn't understand what he was thinking about. It only made her nervous. She feared it was a confirmation.

«Okay, I guess I have figured it out myself.» She said one last time before starting to move away, but his voice made her stop immediately, blocking her in amazement.«I don't think you have something wrong, but if you don't like being with me, why do you continue?» His tone was so static, so cold and emotionless, that it stopped her right there, making her unable to move a muscle in the slightest. She had felt the world collapse under her feet at that moment. «You're right, Kenma. That's enough. Let's close it here, I don't want to know about it anymore.»

She didn't even feel anger anymore, only a heavy weight on her chest that she was sure would have ended up blowing her up at any moment if she hadn't moved away from there. She couldn't continue to let herself be martyred in this way. She had tried to solve the problem, but he didn't seem to care at all, leaving her free to behave like a perfect idiot. She had done everything wrong once again. She couldn't bear to stay there for a minute and make things worse. And at that moment her legs began to move immediately, taking her away from there.

«I'm sorry, Y/N.»

That simple sentence left her breathless, unpredictable. Her fists clenched and her arms dropped down her hips as tense as she was. She didn't know what impulse was holding her back from running towards him. She missed him, she missed him a lot, but that grip on her chest still hurt a little. For this reason, it was he who advanced towards her, until he was just a meter away. Kenma understood that he had made a mistake, he understood that this was a different situation and he couldn't behave with her as he did with anyone else, because she had become decidedly special. He had realized how much he had started to miss that simple contact he had with her every day, the special attention he received from her and which he found himself admiring particularly for some reason. And he had found out what the reason was. Honestly, he didn't think he would ever feel something like that, for him love was far from his life, but something had snapped in him the moment she arrived. She had started to unlock those padlocks inside him and had perhaps noticed it too late. But he still had time to fix it, so he kept talking, for the first time in his life without holding back too long.

«I shouldn't have said those words, I'm so sorry, you were right. You didn't do anything wrong and I was wondering if there was a way to make you forgive me. ― he sighed slightly, before resuming ― I don't want to stop.»

She could sense sincerity in his words. His face may still have seemed expressionless, but in Y/N's eyes that was a giant step forward. She was incredibly proud of him. So she melted completely, this time she couldn't hold back her tears and not even her instincts, she threw her arms around his neck in no time, embracing him tightly under his amazed gaze.

«Start by letting me play with you, please.»

And with that response, which caused a short laugh from both, Kenma realized he still had time.

New Beginnings Are Good For Everyone Ch.3

Getting everything packed up and ready to move was alot to do is so little time. She had already talked her boss at the FBI and they hated to lose her but they just wanted her to do whatever she had to do to be happy but she had to go into the office to sign some paperwork and to get the rest of her things. It was kind of a bitter sweet kind of thing, she was happy because is finally getting to do what she has always wanted to do but then again its the job that she has had for the past 5 years and they were her family in a way but the one that she was going to miss the most is the one that got her to the place that she wanted to be and that was Erin, she was her best friend the person she had been closest to in a long time and she was going to miss that.

Walking into the office it felt weird because she wasnt in uniform and she knew that it would be her last time ever stepping foot into the FBI, she heads to her bosses office so that she could get the easy part out the way signing her name to few papers that was no problem, but saying goodbye to the people that she has worked with for the past 5 years that was going to be the hardest part of this whole day. So after shaking hands with her boss for the last time and them telling her that she will be missed, she walked to her desk with the small box to get everything she had. Out of the corner of her she sees everyone watching her with sad looks on their faces but Erin was the only one that walked up to her and let her know just how much she was going to miss her. She was happy for her but that didnt make the fact that she was going to miss her hurt any less. They had a small conversation and shared a tight hug.

The moving truck would be there first thing in the morning and her flight leaves tomorrow afternoon. That night when Kim left the whole team went to Molly's and of the guys kept asking me how i knew her and if she was the girl from the night before. When I got home that night as I was laying in bed I was kinda kicking myself for not trading numbers with her but I know that Ill have it once she joins the team. I mean she did say that she wanted us to get to know each other better, so that is a good sign. I can honestly say that I was looking forward to Monday more than I have in a long time.

Waking up realizing that it was Friday hoping that maybe they would just get a small case and that he would be able to enjoy his weekend off and just spend time with his brother and friends, something that he hadnt got to do in quite some time but he wasnt getting his hopes up to much. Walking out of the apartment heading out for what he hopes is going to be a good day. He really didnt think he would have the patience to deal with any dumbasses today. He was looking down at his phone as he was about to walk out the door when he bumped into a smaller figure and about knocked them over he looked up to apoligize when his eyes locked with hers and the only thing that he could do is apoligize.

But she still has a couple hours til her stuff will arrive. She contacted the movers and let the know the address that they would be bringing it to. Saying the excitment was taking over body would be the correct term, she actually let out a small screech of happiness once she was alone in her apartment. Locking the door she decided to just go get the stuff that she had with her at the hotel and just grab some lunch and maybe walk around and explore the city a bit while waiting on her things.

Walking around the city she was just mesmerized with how beautiful this city was I mean she cant say Washington wasnt beautiful but the way that Chicago was just felt like maybe this is where she was meant to be this whole time. It felt like home. Finally recieving the text that her stuff was going to be arriving in 30 mins she started to head back to her apartment. Her phone went off again thinking that it was the movers but this time it was a number that she didnt recoginize, opening up her phone the text simply said "Hey this is jay, I had a second so I thought that I would text you so that you would have my number as well" she smiles and simply replys "Ok. Got it. Hope work isnt to hard on you today."

The movers got everything up to the apartment without breaking anything surprisingly because on the way up they dropped a few things and i guess it was just her lucky day. Everything was still in one piece but now that she is alone she can actually start making this place look like a home. She has music playing as she is setting everything up and then her mind starts to wonder about who her neighbor could be the only information that the manager give me about my neighbor is that he was a guy and he was barely ever home. I mean yeah I am pretty sure that once I start work that ill hardly ever be home to but I am absolutely ok with that. She had finally got her bedroom setup the way that she wants it & almost half done with the living room when her stomach growls and she looks at the time realizing that it is almost 7pm and that she hasnt eat anything since lunch, she was so caught up and getting everything she just forgot. So she just stopped what she was doing and grabbed her keys and wallet to go get something to eat. As she locks her door she turns around and definitely didnt think thats who her neighbor was going to be...

Scented Candles

When I was little I played with Barbies, I had a favorite porcelain doll in my sister's collection and I loved the color pink. I knew that, according to society's rules, I wasn't supposed to like those things. I was a "boy" so it was "wrong".... But it felt right to me and I didn't care about those "rules". I broke my arm at one point and I wanted a pink cast, I was told they didn't have a pink cast available. I'm assuming they were telling the truth... Either way I ended up with a red one instead. I remember feeling very disappointed that i couldn't have a pink one. When i hit puberty I found myself sneaking out to our old trailer. There I would put on feminine clothing, wear a blonde wig and stuff extra clothing in my shirt to give myself breasts. I didn't realize what that was indicating at the time but it felt good. It felt like i was filling some deep hole that had been empty for a long time. It felt... correct. I also remember daydreaming of being locked in a Walmart overnight and having free range of the women's section. I would be able to dress anyway I wanted to, free from the judgement of anyone else. I also remember the shame I felt. I had two very conflicting emotions warring with each other. The part of me responding to the way I was raised and telling me that what I was doing and thinking was very wrong and the part of me that felt like I was doing the right thing and the feelings that I was having were valid... Now here I am years later, finally able to accept myself as a dual gender individual. I am able to fully satisfy the side of me that longs to wear dresses and put on makeup and walk around in heels. While at the same time I can just as easily satisfy the masculine side of me that is happy to grow a beard and be a manly man! I am truly content! ... Except... that's a lie... I have come to a realization. A realization that I cannot ignore. I've been telling myself that part of the time I am happy being a man. That male is as strong a part of my gender identity as female is. But I have realized that is not the case. The biggest block the strongest obstacle for me is how my gender identity will affect others. I love my parents very much but unfortunately they fall in the group of people who I have not come out to yet and I know that when I do they will not take it well. I'm very aware that I should not let that dictate how I choose to express myself and I believe that in time I will be able to push past that. But I care deeply about them and it will take time for me to be able to accept that no matter what the reality of who I am is going to hurt them. But coming to that realization has been a bit of a shock for me. Am I truly a woman or am I still partially a man? Or am I something else entirely? It's just that the feelings have been getting stronger. I feel extremely comfortable in feminine clothing while masculine clothing just feels like something I throw on when I'm too lazy to do anything else. I get so annoyed with how quickly I grow facial hair. I mean seriously I shave one day and a couple days later and the beard is already starting to show up again. Not to mention how hairy I am in general. It shouldn't bother me. But it does. Alot. Also my penis. There are so many times where I just want to chop it off. It feels like it shouldn't be there, that it is out of place. At the same time I feel like there is something missing on my chest. It feels fantastic to wear a bra but I wish that I wasn't just stuffing it and that it was being filled by my natural body. I hate how deep my voice is, I wish that I could make it sound less masculine. I wish my hair would grow long instead of just piling up in a curly mess on top of my head. I still cannot say for sure that I am a woman. I'm still figuring that out. But I definetely feel closer to an answer then I have before.

Case #1 : New Beginings

    Makoto sat in the annex as the staff and geiko were prepping for the day. The place had gotten busy as of late but her mind was on everything that had led up to this point. A young Miqo'te girl walked up to her and handing her a stack of documents, but before walking away looked back at her and bowed.

    “Uhhhh miss Mifune..can I ask you something?” The girl couldn’t have been older than 17 but you could see the hard life she had led in her eyes. Makoto met her gaze still a little sore from her tirade at the previous fight night and smiled.

    “What can I help you with?” She spoke trying not to scare the girl feeling she was skittish like a kitten.

    “It’s just...why did you take us all in? You could have dumped all of us with the Yellow Jackets or left us on the street to figure it out for ourselves..it doesn’t make any sense,” the girl was looking away trying not to meet Makoto's gaze. At that moment makoto recognized this girl as one of the people she released from her last case.

A couple days ago Makoto was working a missing person case. After finding all the clues and putting the pieces together it was found to be a kidnapping and she had finally found their hideout, but as she snuck around their compound she saw something that made her sick to her stomach. Women in cages collars around their neck, Some of them eyes dead without hope.

Slavers, Makoto was starting to get furious. If there was one thing she couldn’t stand it was slavers. She gripped her katana and scanned the room. “1….2…..4…..6,” she counted how many of them were there. As she looked closer they were man handing on of the slave girl's, A small miqo’te and after one punched her he threw her into a cage closing it behind her. That was it, Makoto took a deep breath and in a flash she dashed at full speed cutting down one, then the next, spinning to slice off the hands of the third. “No mercy for scum like you” she spat out as she dodged the attack of one of the remaining 3 shoving her blade through his chest. Just as the hilt slams into the targets chest she get punched across the face but turns around grabbing his arm pulling him in close enough that with one quick palm shove with the other hand snaps his neck. As the last target fell to the ground trying to back away from Makoto she grabbed her katana out of one of the corpses and walked over to the man slowly.

“WHAT ARE YOU!?!” the man screamed as you could see all the prisoners staring at this monstrous scene. He continued to scoot back until he was backed against a wall and Makoto shoved her blade through his shoulder pinning him to the wall, then slamming her foot into the other arm breaking it.

“I’ll let the yellow Jackets deal with you from here…” she made a call on her linkpearl as she went around freeing the captives. As she came to the cage where the Miqo'te girl from before was tossed in, barely breathing eyes lifeless, “hey little one I’m gonna get you outta here okay?” she broke the lock and released her bindings. Makoto looked at all the people here and was starting to get pissed, Hingashi or Eorzea slavery is messed up, she ran that thought through her mind repeatedly as she waited for the yellow jackets to appear.

After awhile as the Yellow jackets were rounding up the former captives makoto stood by giving her statement to them. “Miss Mifune..i know the Admiral gives you a pass for your antics but this was extreme! You didn’t have to kill them!” the inspector was furious but makoto looked uninterested.

    “They are lucky I let the last one live...so what are we going to do about the people they captured?” she was looking around and noticed some groups of people were standing around faces still wrought with depression.

    The inspector looked into the group and sighed, “Most of them will be set free and taken back to their families, but a lot of these women don't have any family or anywhere to go. We might turn the younger ones over to an orphanage and the older ones will be given the opportunity to get started somewhere but honestly we have no idea..”

    Makoto sighs, seeing this group of people that had nothing reminded her of how when her and her sister came to eorzea they also had nothing. She walked past the inspector and over to the group, “Hey HEY! Anyone here who doesn’t have anywhere to go, I can offer you a home, a job, and a purpose! If you don't want that I won't force you, but if you do come talk to me and put your past behind you!” She yelled this out to the women, What am i saying?, she thought to herself as she was acting without thinking at this point, but the most surprising thing was that people were coming over to her, thanking her some even crying.

    After that Makoto brought them to the Annex and started figuring out where she could put them. She was planning on expanding her families influence in Eorzea..was this the method? She looked at one of the older women who were calming down the others and helping corral them so they could be clothed and placed, “Hey you! What's your name?” she asked the Roegadyn woman as she turned and smiled.

    “My name is Felmyst miss Mifune,” She did an eastern bow before her which surprised Makoto seeing as she was sure that the Woman was from Eorzea and not Hingashi, “I saw some of the other staff and that maid of your bow like this so i have been making sure the other do the same”

    “I...uh thanks? So I see your organizing all the girl's I have to thank you for taking the lead on that,” Makoto laughed as the new girl's were all moving about busily through the bar, “So are you running into any issues? Anything questions just ask Mina or myself,” she nodded happily to Felmyst. This feels...nice, She thought to herself as when the new girl's walked past they bowed their faces becoming more and more happy as time passed.

    “Miss Mifune there is a question some of the girl's had been wondering,” Makoto looked at Felmyst as she said this with a face of confusion, “Alot of us as you said have abandoned our past and now we follow you without question but we were talking to Miss Mina and she said that your family would have branch clans that served them. So we were wondering what did you want our name to be?”

    It hadn’t dawned on her what she had done, “B-Branch family!?!” she stuttered a large grin stretching across her face. She was doing it, She was rebuilding the Mifune family. She looked at Felmyst and gave her a large grin, “What are you talking about we’re all Mifune’s here”

    Felmyst nodded, “All right Miss Mifune i will notify all the other girl's, so what exactly did you want us to do your kitchen isn’t exactly big enough to require this much staff?” Felmyst asked in a concerned tone.

    Makoto thought to herself, Branch family...the Mifune’s got started as prostitutes. Our founder rose to the top of her brothel using the information she got from her customers...but I couldn’t ask these women to sell themselves...maybe they don't have too..I got it!  She snapped her fingers as she looked over to Felmyst, “Felmyst, Men and women alike will say alot to a pretty woman am I correct?” she nodded to Makoto's statement, “Where I’m from there are workers known as Geiko, Women who are paid to entertain patrons with music, dance, conversation, and pleasant company. I hate to ask this of you all who chose to join me but see if any of the women who came would be interested in learning to do this.”

    Felmyst gave Makoto a quirky grin, “you saved us from slavery, most of us wouldn’t even question your requests, but I do have to ask why gay-koh?” Makoto laughs and shakes her head.

    “Now that you all are Mifune I should let you know information is our greatest weapon, and you ladies will be gathering that..if you all are fine with it that is. I won't force any of you to do anything, that’s not what MY family is about” she said that with conviction, My family...Yeah I’m the Head of the mifune Clan and i will lead these women to something better than what any of us had before. Felmyst felt the sincerity from Makoto’s request and nodded.

    “Well then miss Miss Mifune, Should we speak to the rest of our family on what they think of this?” Felmyst gave her a sly smile ready to follow her leaders orders.

Now go help Felmyst and the others get ready we’re opening up soon!” the girl smiles and nods as she runs off. “Once we get the Okiya set-up and all the Geiko fully trained step one of my plan will come to fruition..look out Eorzea, you can’t keep the Mifune’s down forever”

Im just resting today. I decided to skip work.

I have to fucking do all the attendance, enquiry trcking, enquiry recording, rescheduling, broadcasting of emails to RO managers for the events, chasing RO for the events, fucking check their work and send confirmation emails back, do the attendances and start to record those to summon, consecutively answering stupid shits enquiries good thing there were more appeals last month cause at least that how much i do every cycle and she still complains, listen to shit excuses and curses at me for not bring lenient and her yapping at the side "like why couldnt you say this...", then icare checks, eems check, then ml check then screenshots, extracting of notices and preparing for summons logging, and while all these are going on... imma have to track extensions revocations, record the masterlist, update the attendance again, filing stupid summons, record the summonses and send them then track them cause sometimes the court screw shit... or the other team forgets to record.... if our shit is seriously nonchalant and redundant.. i will quit cause i cant cope... even listing out the entirety of my scope is making have an anxiety attack now marnshun.

TSW.L Breakdown/Slight Rantyness -ye be warned :)

First of all I am NOT in the beta, though I hope to get in just to see if any of this is better than it currently sounds.

So I have played TSW on and off since launch -I was in the beta, this is a game that I want to see flourish and be the best it can be.

Recently however they have announced the ‘Relaunch’ of The Secret World, which there calling TSW Legends.

-Cool more eyes on the game, more people to play with, that’s exactly what the community wants and needs to keep the game alive and updated for years to come and frankly still is.

However….

Nothing lasts forever as they say and with the coming of “Legends” a lot of stuff is shifting and changing, unfortunately from a lot of interviews I have scrounged and posts that people under the NDA shouldn't really be talking about but are in places (Reddit, TSW fansite forums under new account names, etc), it seems that this is not going to go well.

That said: THIS IS EARLY BETA. - also a bit of this is maybe a little out of date.

A ton of this can and will change before the launch of Legends, I just hope its for the better, ontop of that some of this is taken from forums and I can’t be 100% sure that some of the users aren't just string the pot and are not actually playing the game.

My primary gripes:

1) Clothing: Does this set make my butt look big?

One of the things that made TSW interesting was being able to wear what you wanted, cloths had no bearing on your stats at all -pick a hat, a different shirt and a jacket, those jeans look good and some high heels! Good to go!

Not so much anymore, apparently it’s all set as ‘costumes’ now -sets that you have no customisation over at all…

This is the most likely to change, but if it does not there will be a flood of people leaving just because of that, many of us like our own unique looks that we have built over time from earning clothing through hard work or with money we have managed to scrounge up through our misadventures.

If it remains this way there will be a lot of people who simply wont play the game anymore, a ton of games took TSW lead on this system. -This also may already be outdated.

I have been informed that the Dressing room isn’t even in the Beta yet, So all this was bunk on forums.

2) The Ability wheel: Gone, it’s just gone.

In it’s place is pretty much an excel spreadsheet with abilities linked to weapons, they unlock as you gain enough points -oh what’s that want to change to a different weapon line. POOF, sorry your points you didn’t spend are gone, even if you jump back -guess you gotta grind them back out.

The ability wheel was another great feature but had a lot of the more childish members of the community up in arms because “it was too complicated” -it really was not, you pick a weapon you wanted to raise, you follow a set chain of abilities each a little more expensive but more powerful than the last, complete a certain set you unlock a ‘deck’ and its costume.

No more of that. (For now).

EDIT: This is apparently just a placeholder for what they actually have in store -the points vanishing is a bug that not everyone is experiencing.

3) Levels: Numbers!!!.

Before in TSW your level was an abstract concept, you had to judge for yourself when you was strong enough to take on an area and the creatures within.

Get your ass kicked -come back after doing some other stuff, did OK? Keep going, Kick ass yourself -maybe time to check that other corner of the map, in a fight with a tough foe who might be just a little stronger than you but you JUST manage to scrape by-nothing beats it.

As it was it was based on your ability choice and the gear level you had, the better stuff you had the better chance you had of pushing past an area.

Not so much now, There giving us a good old fashioned Levelling bar and a number next to our name.

Fuck. That.

I completely understand why, it’s easier for new players to come in and know how tough a bad-guy is compared to you, but the guess work added to The Secret World’s ambiance, despite your god-like powers your still a brittle human compared to the horrors that slip out of the darkness and into your waking nightmare, judging if you can actually handle something or not was part of the charm.

Nope, gone now, its level 23 your 18 better run.

4) Combat: DODGE!.

This maybe the only good thing I have heard? Maybe? That said I like the combat as it was.

Right click: Primary weapon attack, Left click: Secondary weapon attack, Dodge is now an action key instead of a direction double tap or a direction space bar, potions and mount are on an (currently) unmovable hotbar.

The abilities are all 1 to 8 as normal in MMO’s. Not the 6 button round up we have normally. I know those of us who played TSW before are going to get killed ALOT because of these changes, were not going to doge because our habit and instinct tells us to double tap, were going to forget to click to attack after we fire off abilities.

However this may turn out to be decent if it’s improving the feel of battle, though I will miss the combat they originally had.

5) Loot: Minor change. Maybe.

Apparently the items will no longer scatter the ground when you slay your foe, instead everyone in the party will get there own individual loot added directly to the inventory.

Don’t want to pick stuff up? Tough. Your friend got the weapon you was after and you got something you don’t even use? Tough, chances are there bound on pickup.

It used to be that items got left on the ground if you didn’t grab them, if you ran away a certain distance or didn't touch the items for 2 minuets, another play could pick them up -this was incredibly useful for helping lower geared friends in areas, letting them get a few extra resources to make weapons/gear/potions, but all that is apparently just a dream of the past now.

HOWEVER. This is only partially confirmed from a few interviews, it is unknown if items won’t drop as normal outside of parties.

6) Crafting: Gone is the template of old.

Apparently this is the largest change for us old TSW players, the crafting system has been scrapped.

It used to be you dragged certain materials such as metal or water or fire into a pattern on the crafting window -build a shotgun make a L longways with certain materials, a potion? Draw a bottle with the items.

Now it’s just a list like in WoW, or any other MMO these days.

Have the materials? Good, select how many wait a few seconds, off you go.

I know some players had trouble with remembering the combinations for items, but just give us an item window with the patterns on, don’t carve out the whole thing with a damn crowbar.

7) Story: The wheels on the bus go round and -OHGODITATETHEDRIVER.

The Main story for the factions remains almost untouched with the exception of some corrections in the lore and mechanical touch ups.

However.

Some of the side missions will be altered, some completely others just a tad.

Apparently some of the investigation missions -a unique mission type to TSW will be altered to combat ones since some players considered them a hassle or ‘too hard’ -these guys I want to lock in a TSW parking lot -if you play you know that’s a special kind of hell to be savoured!

Honestly if they remove the investigation missions, it will be a massive loss to the game and it’s unique play-style, having to figure out puzzles -logic based, history based, item based, etc. Was an amazing experience and sometimes required research and time to crack.

If even a few are gone it will make a lot of people turn there back on the game since they live for those missions.

Turns out this will mostly be tweaking, repairing some of the broken aspects and small click-boxes for some of the missions, a lot of this is fixes and moving onto improving.

8) Lifetime Subscriptions: Hahahahaha...haha...ha...*sobs*

Those of us who purchased the very extravagantly priced ‘Lifetime subscription’ and becoming Grandmasters in the game will apparently be getting the shaft.

Whilst we retain our Grandmaster status we will no longer receive monthly points to spend on the in-game store.

We will occasionally get subscription awards though not at the level we have been getting them the last year or so but mostly our lifetime subscription means that we just get the base future DLC for free.

Want the extra stuff? The clothing? Potions? Gotta pay cold hard cash.

Fortunately we keep our exp/currency/drop boosts, were gonna need them.

This I am ok with, they need to make money somehow now that there going this route with the game, but it’s still a difficult pill to swallow.

Oh and I made a point of saying DLC, not Expansion. If an expansion to TSW actually releases then you gotta pay for that too.

This is apparently undecided at this point.

Markiplier? I looked him up on YouTube. His face looked quite familiar. I just couldn't put my finger on it. I clicked on a video titled "Do you know Markiplier?" "Hello everybody my name is Markiplier" the video started He started doing quizzes about himself. "Where was I born?" He said aloud He started to go off about how he wasn't born in O'aho, Hawaii, he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. I know some one who did the exact same thing... "What is my full name?" "Mark Edward Fishbach" he speaks again "Fishbach" I  repeat in my head Mark Fishbach... Sketching and taking advantage of free Wi-Fi. That's what I like to do in the afternoon. After hearing my name being called for my drink, I got up and made my way to the counter to pick up my drink. I turn around into a person, spilling my (thankfully) iced coffee down my front. "I'm sorry, can I buy you another drink?" Chapter 20

I managed to get through the two days. It’s now the 26th. Seth’s Birthday. It’s 6am. I decided I go to his place about lunch time. I knew he was going to have a friend’s over later. I get there at lunch time, he already has his friends over. They were sitting out the back in the entertainment area. I sneak around the back way. Seth was sitting with his back to me which made it perfect to surprise him. Mila and Charlize seen me. I put my finger up to my lips to mimck saying “Shhh” They look away and act like they haven’t seen anything. I get close enough to Seth, I put my hands over his eyes, I give his earlobe a bit of a suck and nibble. He knew straight away who it was. He turns around quick, “You’re here”

His eyes said it all about how much it meant to him. “Happy Birthday!”

“Thankyou” he still sounded shocked

He then said “You are not meant to be back until the 31st”

“I have an amazing best friend who is riding Spirit for me so I can be here!”

“Remind me to thank Emma” he says.

Seth then introduces me to Charlize “Mandy this is Charlize, Charlize this is Mandy” we both say “nice to meet you”.

Mila, Ashton and Seth G are there as well. We all ssay “Hello” to each other.

Then Seth G. Asks “Is Seth going to get another dance since it is his birthday?”

“No” I flatly reply

“Why not?” Mila joins in

“Because that’s never ever going to happen again, I didn’t even want to do it”

Charlize asks “Guys, what am I missing? What dance?”

Seth G pulls out his phone

I say sarcastically “Ahh, the video, great! I’m getting a drink now”

Seth followed me inside, he didn’t want to be there while they watch the video, we could already hear them laughing.

Seth and I sit down at his dining room table, next to each other, we had a few shots each, I had Jimmy and he had JD.

“It means so much to me that you are here” he says.

“I know, I think alot of you” I say to him I get up, go behind him, and start giving a shoulder and neck massage. He was tense. I very gently move his head forward.

He commented “You know you have started something now!”

I reply “Smart arse” he gives a small chuckle. He just used the line I used on him with the foot massages.

“We better go back outside, they are done with the video” I say

“They are waiting to give us shit” he replies

“I know”

We go outside and sit down with the others.

Charlize was the first to say something “That dance was….. The only word I can say is wow!”

Seth and I just smile and blush

Mila asks “What’s going on with you guys?”

Seth rolls his eyes because of that question. Again. “We aren’t together, we are just friends”

Mila then hits back with “I call bullshit! Friends don’t dance like that for each other, for Christ’s sake Mandy, you grabbed Seth’s dick in that dance, not to mention when you kissed him! You nibbled his ear lobes when you first got here today. Something is going on”

I laugh “What will it take for me to prove that we aren’t together?”

She says “I dunno at this moment, but you two are not normal!” then all of a sudden she has a light bulb moment “Oh my God! You two are fuck buddies! That explains everything!”

Seth laughed “That’s crazy, we are just friends, that’s it!” Ashton, Seth. G. and Charlize are finding this grilling of Seth and I highly amusing.

Then Mila continues, I’m glad she’s focusing on Seth now “Where did you two disappear to after the dance? You were gone for for over half an hour and turn up at the same time.”

Seth still laughing, blushing big time now just shrugs his shoulders. Mila isn’t done yet “Oh and another thing, when you two finally show up, Mandy has bruises all the way around her wrists, explain that one” Seth and I look at each other, start laughing harder and shrug our shoulders.

Charlize in disbelief “What the fuck? Are you fucking serious Mila?” she starts laughing hard.

Mila looks at Charlize, “Oh I’m deadly serious!”

Mila turns back to Seth “Are you going to answer any of my questions?”

Seth is laughing, starts to get up “Sit your ass down MacFarlane”

Seth replies “How about no?”

Then says as he’s heading inside “Mandy will tell you everything you want to know”

“You arsehole” I say combined with a dirty look.

Mila turns to me and says “It’s time to admit it”

I look her in the eye, keep a poker face on “We are not fuck buddies, nor are we together”

She then said “Well at least offer me some explanation!”

“Why do you care so much?”

“Because I know you two are lying, and trust me I will find out the truth!”

I walked inside to get another few shots and to give Seth a piece of my mind. He’s sitting at the table “You fucking knob jockey” I lower my voice so they can’t hear, they are trying to listen “Not only did you give it away, you passed everything onto me”

“Did you admit to anything?”

“No, of course not”

He lined up 8 shot glasses, poured 4 with Jimmy, and the other 4 with JD

He said “Let’s get hammered, I will race you”

We pick up our first Shot, we clink before counting “1,2,3” Only a couple of seconds pass and the race was done. I beat him! I can’t believe it! I rub it in “Suck shit”

He asks “Still confident?” he smiles I nod my head feeling proud

“Good! Let’s go again” he pours the shots again. We pick our first shot up again, clink the glasses then count “1,2,3” then down our shots one after the other. Fuck. He beat me.

He says “Suck shit!” using my words against me. Again.

I say “2 out of 3 big boy, line ‘em up again!”

“Alright. 2 out of 3, what’s the wager?” he asks

“100 bucks” I say sounding cocky

“100 it is” he replies sounding cocky himself.

We each put $100 on the table. We clink glasses, count 1, 2, 3. We start the race. I fucking won! I say “I think I will take what’s mine” while grabbing the $200 off the table.

He says “I think I will take you right now, on the table”

I say sarcastically “Jesus Seth, Don’t be so subtle next time”

He laughs “You don’t believe me?”

“So you are saying you want to take me on the table right now?”

“Yes. That is correct” he says matter of factly

I laugh “You know the group is still outside”

“Annnnd…… Your point is?” he asks

Just then all the shots hit me at once. It was like someone flicked a switch and for some idiotic reason I fucking agree to it.

“Alright, let’s go! You have gotta be quick though”

“I promise I will”

I grab him roughly on the back of his head, messing up the back of his hair, and pull him in for a deep kiss, he gets into it straight away. We break the kiss to stand up, then we go back to kissing madly again, He breaks the kiss to strip my jeans and panties off. He pulls his jeans and boxers down just below his butt. He turns me around so I’m facing the table, then with one hand he pushes my upper back down while with the other hand, pulls my hips out. He puts his hands on the inside of my thighs and pushes my legs apart. Now I’m in the perfect position. He puts two fingers in his mouth, lubricates them with plenty of saliva and then inserts them into me. I immediately gasp, it felt great. He moves his fingers around inside me. He takes his fingers out and put them in his mouth again, putting plenty more saliva on them before inserting in me again, I feel every movement his fingers are making inside, it’s awesome. Seth and I quickly make up another line of shots, sit down, and quickly count 1,2,3 then down our 4 shots. Seth won this time. He didn’t rub it in, he was focusing on making sure Charlize didn’t catch on..

That set of four shots hits us both immediately. We are beyond hammered now.

Charlize sees us “Well aren’t you two just social butterflies” she says with sarcasm.

Seth and I look at each other, and for some reason we burst out laughing. She realises just how hammered we are.

“Jesus Christ! How much have you two had to drink since coming inside?”

Seth, still laughing “Just a teeny, tiny bit” he says in a high voice while pinching his thumb and index finger together.

Charlize says “Are you sure it’s just a teeny, tiny bit”

I reply quickly “Nope, it’s only a smidgen”

Seth and I start laughing again.

Charlize just gives us an amused look and says “We are all drunk, but you two are fucking smashed. I’m going back outside now. Feel free to join us!”

She heads outside with all the drinks in her hands.
