#I surprisingly really liked this story #it had a lot more moving parts than most detective comics I’ve read which made it more intriguing #I liked that Dan makes the realization that the murder victim was killed because he saw something he wasn’t supposed to #when he went swimming #from that he was inexplicably found in swimming clothes #and so goes swimming in that pool himself to figure out what’s going on #but that that realization wasn’t explained until the end of the story when he’s tying everything together #so him going swimming in that pool initially feels kind of random #also I liked the use of his assistant Carol #when they first get to the town for the case he sends her to the hotel ahead of him so that they won’t be seen together #meaning that he was already planning on having her do some detective work on his behalf #though it also feels kind of crummy that he would tell her to get a date with a man to figure out what he knows #without telling her that he knows who that man is because he was pointed out to him as a likely suspect in the murder case #fawcett comics #dan dare #my posts #comic panels

#goncharov #this is like so self indulgent it barely makes sense as a fan poster #its like a poster for the goncharov that is in my head #unreality #also #while im here #can i just say that i love how while goncharov is positioned as a masculine protagonist of a mafia movie #hes a surprisingly passive character #hes so willing to be lead by the wrist to his fate #he only really makes one decision and while (spoilers) it does redeem him it also dooms him #its like he knows how his story ends #i almost felt complicit as a viewer?#good movie basically

Surprisingly nicely for the franchise this is from #AND the fact that the ''evil ai'' wasn't ''evil'' at all . it was trying to help and break through its programming to preserve the region #im sure that's not the first time that's been done but !! it's refreshing to see the robot Not be evil GVEIYAGV #and ARVEN ??I . if the events of persona 4 didn’t happen, if you gave him ten years i think yosuke could’ve become the kind of guy to do fight club. yu is literally his tyler. the degree to which it maps is insane.

so like. usually pooltoys don't get me hot n' bothered but I had this dream about pooltoy tf last night...

#my eyes have opened somewhat #personal #there was this bit that the character I was seeing the dream through was pawing at a surface trying desperately to hold on--#--as he floated upwards while inflating... and just failing miserably....#smoothass clumsy paws #and then like #a seam popped open on the side after a little too much pressure and the feeling was surprisingly relaxing #like. it wasn't a big pop it was a slow deflate... and then drifting downwards..#usually popping is a squick but I was very pleasantly shocked #it was like all the tension just mellllted and it felt so warm and comfortable #but it was really brief #I dunno I just really appreciate getting a little view into something out of my usual zone #also the larger context of the dream was that it was a story about various pooltoy/plush/etc. TFs that were contagious

noticed that the ps app now shows how many hours you’ve spent on a game if youve recently played it and uh. im clearly very normal about yakuza 0

#note: the actual number is more like 400 hours because my first playthrough was on my friend’s ps4 so those hours don’t show up here #estimating it was between at least 50-60 hours so #ah the perils of a yakuza 0 completionist.#(bragging but in a pathetic way that means I really didn’t have a life this year at all)#rambling #y0 #I’ve got 91 hours on y6 right now apparently but i know it’ll be over 100 sooner than later cause I need to play thru on legend mode to #get the last trophy I need to platinum it.#and surprisingly I think like 59? hours?? on judgement??? which is impressive considering I think I’m only like half way through the story #and nowhere CLOSE to completion (not that I know yet if I wanna complete/platinum it or not but we’ll see)#anywho yeah I’ve spent. a lot of time. on yakuza 0 #keep in mind all of those hours are within between like. late march to sometime in july #god knows what that number would be if I had had this game since it came out in 2015
