Okay what we know is that Matthew is going to make a move on Daisy since she's trying to get over James(it's confirmed). Which sounds pretty logical cause 1) he's into her 2) she's single... like..married type of single but still 3) she finds him kinda hot at random times 4) they're pretty close

But I'm kinda worried about a few things which include: 1) timing 2) the toxic foundation of that 3) momentS?...

So let's clear this out: Cordelia doesn't owe anything to James, it's a fake marriage and trying to start a new relationship with a kind guy who cares about you - is a good way to get over someone. Cordelia x Matthew out of context - 🤌🏻 *crying(me)Jordelia fan sounds*

Now to my issues cause we actually have a context:

1) timing - right after (like literally 3-5 days) her dad's death; her losing Cortana, her being controlled by Lilith, her telling Matthew she's really in love with James, her heart being broken, her telling Matthew she sees him only as a friend🤨 During Daisy having nightmares and panic attacks. Right before her dad's funeral. It just seems too much and trying to make a move on her RIGHT NOW is kinda wrong.

So I see only one way for any "juicy moments" to happen: Cordelia should initiate the kiss🤷🏼 So it doesn't look like Matthew is using the opportunity of her being depressed, confused, rejected and wanting to be loved and cuddled...to give the kind of love she doesn't need from him right now.

But unfortunately it would lead us to the:

2) toxic foundation of that - CC made it clear that Daisy is truly in love with James.

Cordelia's aware of Mathew's beauty, she thinks about it at least twice during the first 2 books👀 but she doesn't even want to be in love with someone else. So we never saw her even thinking about him in a romantic way.

So if the kiss happens, and it will happen, it's because: a) she's really lonely and upset after being rejected/cheated on (that's what she believes) and she wants to feel loved b) she feels sorry for Matthew, like he's a wet little kitten and he's so adorable and fragile and she doesn't want to upset him.

Which is also bad cause she's in love with the other guy and she's not able to truly respond to his feelings🤷🏼which is not a problem without a context, like ... He's not 12, they can talk and he can get over her, since it wasn't actually serious in the first place.

But again, we actually have a context: Matthew's in a bad place right now. He's still drinking tho he's trying to hide it. And if he really stopped just because Daisy asked - it's fucked up, cause it'd help him only during his "romantic euphoria". First problem- he drinks again. And it's like he shifts the responsibility for his well-being to Cordelia He sees a relationship with Cordelia as the way to fix all his problems, to actually heal and maybe even fight alcoholism. Cordelia was the first person he opened his secret to and he confuses the feeling of relief, gratitude and euphoria of being accepted the way you are with romantic love🥲

Which is obviously not how the healing works. He needs to be honest with someone else, to fix his relationship with the family AND to get serious medical and psychological help☝🏻And kisses with Cordelia won't help, it can only fuck everything up, cause he can end up in even worse place after James and Cordelia confess their feelings for each other and we know they will.

Here it's clear that he was still mad at her for what she did to Aybike and her family but I want to know how and when did he go back home. They gave us zero explanation concerning this 🙃

In the last episode, Gunul gave the keys of the restaurant to Sengul and she told her that she already paid the rent for the next 3 months. The Erens thought about changing the decor of the restaurant and decided to convert it into a coffee shop where students can come and study.

At school, Oglucan told Aybike that they need to go to the restaurant bc Sengul needs their help. Then both left and Sengul told Oglucan:"what if his crazy mom starts messing with us again?" So like I said, I think Sengul is just scared of what Ayla would do and she doesn't hate Berk anymore.

Aybike:"What do you think? Do you like it? give me your opinion"

Berk:"It's pretty but they probably threw it out because the legs are broken"

Aybike:"Yes the legs are broken and it's torn here and there but it would look okay if we cover it with a blanket "

Berk:"I also think that would solve the problem"

Aybike:"Okay then come on"

Berk:"What do you mean "come on""

Aybike:"We're going to carry it"

Berk:"oh so that's why we came here?"

Aybike:"Yes, what else were we going to do?"

Berk:"I don't know, when you showed me the couch, I thought we were going to go buy something similar"

Aybike:"Of course that would've been better but unfortunately, we don't have that kind of budget"

Berk:"Okay then, you stay here and I will carry it on my back, you don't have the strength to carry it anyway"

Aybike:"What? I am sorry? I don't have the strength to carry it? Does this have anything to do with my gender?"

Berk:"No, my Aybike, what does this have to do with gender"

Aybike:"Come on, look how I am going to carry it now"

Berk:"come on, let' see"

Aybike:"It's not heavy"

Berk:"It's heavy my love, you're the strong one. Okay then I will come back and get the other couch and then the set would be complete"

Btw the couch is really heavy, Doruk later said that so I guess Berk is not the only one lifting weights in his spare time 😂  

Then they started carrying the couch and Berk said: “let me know if a car comes so it doesn’t hit me” idk why this line was so funny 😂 I wonder if this was in the script or if it's Recep improvising.

When they reached the restaurant, Doruk saw them and came to help them. He told Aybike to let go of the couch bc he was going to carry it with Berk instead but Berk told him not say that bc it would end badly 😂 Then Berk said “all of us are going to carry the couch together”. He didn’t want to upset her 🥺

In the evening when Berk got home, Ayla was waiting for him. She told him that she realized that she went too far and she wants to apologize to Sengul. Berk of course did not believe her and asked her if this was another one of her tricks. She told him that he can come with her and they will talk to Sengul face to face.  

Berk:"Did something fall on this woman's head or what? What happened to her"

I love that he was looking at the ceiling to check whether something really fell on her head  😂

Berk sent a text to Aybike telling her that his mom is coming to apologize to her parents. When they got to the Eren's house, Berk warned Ayla one last time that if she was trying to trick him, he wouldn't breathe the same air as her.

She told him not to worry and to knock on the door. Aybike opened the door.

Aybike:"Hello my dear Berk"

Berk:"Hello my dear Aybike"

Ayla:"My dear Aybike, good evening sweetheart, your parents are at home, right?"

Aybike:"Yes, they are"

Ayla:"I came to apologize to all of you"

Aybike looked at Berk as if she was asking him it that was true and Berk made a "I don't know it seems like she's not lying" face expression

So Aybike allowed Ayla to go into the house.

Aybike:"My dear Berk, we're sure that a pot didn't fall on her head and everything is okay, right?"

Berk:"I swear, that's what I thought in the beginning but she insisted so much on coming here, I think this time she understood that she was in the wrong"

Ayla went on and on about how sorry she was for what she did to Sengul and her family. Orhan left to let Sengul and Ayla talk. They talked about how Gunul almost lost Afra because of her anger. When they started talking about people dying, Ayla mentioned Asiye and Omer's parents and asked Sengul how they died. Sengul said that their mother died in a car accident and their father died in a construction site and Ayla asked her if it was Akif's construction site. Sengul was surprised and asked her how she knew that, Ayla said that Berk told her about it (he didn't ofc). In this scene, Ayla was trying to confirm her suspicions and I know that she was using the apology as a pretext to do that but I wonder if her apology was sincere 🤔

The next day, Ayla got Resul's phone back from the repair shop and watched the video. She drove to Nebehat's house to confront Akif about this but Berk called her to tell her that Sengul is inviting them to the restaurant in the evening. However, he told her that Akif and Nebehat will be there too. Ayla said that she will be there. She thought that since everyone will be at the restaurant in the evening, it would be better to expose him there than confront him when they are alone. When she got to the restaurant, Ayla saw Akif and she showed him the video. Ayla said that she's going to show the video to everyone and Akif begged her not to do it. The episode ended with Ayla telling Omer and Asiye that she has something important to tell them.

The teaser shows Akif stopping Ayla by telling her:"I know that Berk is not your son"

Ayla:"What do you mean Berk is not my son? What kind of nonsense is this?"

Akif:"Berk is not Resul and Ayla's biological son"

Nebehat:"Was he adopted?"

Akif:"I wish he was"

and Sengul heard this

So according to the teaser, Ayla doesn't know that Berk is not her son which could mean Resul brought Berk to their lives. I said "could" because we don't know what kind of document Akif found in the box. If it's a DNA test then it means that Resul didn't know from the start bc why would he get a DNA test if he was the one who did all of this and that means someone else switched Ayla and Resul's real child with Berk. 

However, if the document is not a DNA test then it means that this was Resul's doing. I hope they are going to show us the documents Akif found. If this was orchestrated by Resul then there are endless theories and possibilities.  

First, the children must've been swapped when they were babies and maybe at birth otherwise Ayla would've noticed. It could be that Ayla's baby died and she didn't know but how do you amazon prime a baby? how did Resul get a baby so fast after Ayla's baby died. We know that Berk was not adopted which means that Resul did not get him from an orphanage. Some people suggested that Berk could still be related to Resul and Ayla, maybe they are his uncle/aunt and maybe Berk was the child of one of their siblings. Akif's response leads me to think that the way Resul got Berk was not Ethical or something tragic happened like what if Resul killed Berk's mother in an accident. Or what if Berk is the son of someone we know on the show. I saw people on twitter saying "maybe this is why Resul didn't like Berk and was distant with him" which is not true bc if it was then why would he have all those pictures of him with Berk as well as videos of Berk from important moments of his life. Resul treasured Berk, he was just a workaholic.

Berk will be so devastated it when he finds out about this. His life was basically a lie. I am sad for Berk but can't wait for Recep's performance. I am sure we’re all going to be crying with him. Btw Sengul heard this so this can't be good for us. We know that a major break up awaits AsDor and Susuom in the future bc of the secrets between them but Ayber is the only couple without a secret. I think Sengul will tell Aybike about this or Aybike will hear her talk about this with someone else (Ayla maybe). However, Aybike will hide this from Berk and when Berk finds out, he will break up with her. We never saw Aybike go after Berk, it was always her who broke up with him first and now I think it's her turn to beg for forgiveness.

Chapter 19: The Man with a Plan

With Jack and Winter's connection all fixed up, and an explanation found for the "magic-splosion" up North, Jacqueline finds herself in the hot seat as the subject of her blackouts are broached. Elsewhere, The Man has (some semblance of) a plan, and he's making it Kasper's problem.

"I think I know where this is going," Jacqueline admitted. "They just want to help you, Jacqueline. And so do I," Jack said, placing his hand on the handle of Jacqueline's room door. "That's why I brought up the blackouts this morning. And that's part of the reason I was waiting up for you, too. I told Mom and Dad I would. Look, we have to—" "I know," Jacqueline cut him off, her palm flying up. "I know," she insisted with a tired smile. Fingers curling in, she dropped her palm. "I appreciate you covering my ass about them. And I know I snapped about them this morning," she glanced to the side, pushing hair off of her face. "It's just..." her eyes moved upwards as she searched for words, rubbing the back of her neck. "It's scary. I'm scared. I don't know what they are or why it was happening and I don't know anything about them. I'm a dead end in terms of figuring out what's happening to me, which is just super inconvenient. But," she held up a finger before Jack could interrupt. "Xander and I had a good chat. It's scary, yeah. But I know you guys just want to help and I—" she paused for a minute, taking a very deep breath. "—I'm willing to talk about them now." "Oh!" Jack said, pleasantly surprised and very relieved. "Oh, that's good." "Why do you sound so relieved?" Jacqueline questioned, as Jack pushed the handle down and opened the door. "Because I am. I was expecting you to put up more of a fight. You know, you really are stubborn." "A chip off the old block," Blaise spoke up. The two sprites screamed, jumping back. Jacqueline's bodice was once again hovering in front of the pair; Jack's icicle tie was hovering very threateningly in the air. "Calm down, it's just us," Winter said, beside Blaise. The pair of them were sitting comfortably on one of the sofa's in Jacqueline's room, trying very hard to bite back their laughter. "For the love of winter—" "I told you guys I'd handle this! I said, go to bed, I'll wait up for Jacqueline!" "You scared the SNOW out of me, this is way too many scares in one night—" "You were just downstairs!" "Am I pink? I feel like there's pink. It’s been almost a year since Jack Frost thawed and things are looking…well, not so great. Jack’s powers are seemingly gone. Without them, the Dome that keeps the North Pole safe from the cold and its magic controlled is melting, putting everything and everyone magical at risk.

Unable to hide his power shortage any longer, Jack is forced to admit the truth. Thankfully, there is a solution: enacting the Legate Law, bringing Jack and the sister that he hurt so many centuries ago back together again. But when Jacqueline starts experiencing destructive blackouts, the pair are forced to head back home to Crystal Springs, bringing Jack face to face with the rest of the family.

Needless to say, between getting his powers back, helping his sister figure out what in the FROST those blackouts even were, reconciling with his parents, meeting the two even younger siblings he didn’t even KNOW he had, NOT TO MENTION the ancient threat that’s had it out for the ENTIRE Frost family finally making a move?

Saving Christmas (regrettably) is looking to be a little bit…complicated.

welp apparently my therapist is ending her placement at the clinic i go to after roughly this month so. OK

It's been a weirdly long gap between appts too because I had a bad pain day and had to cancel one and then scheduling didn't work for the next week, so I think I've got just one final appointment with her in two weeks, whereupon i'll need to decide if i want to transfer to a different therapist or end it ig and. ughhhhh

the 'maybe i should agree to see someone else' column

it has been nice to have someone to regularly check in with where the entire point is literally just to talk about Me and My Problems, for sure. most appealing part of therapy in general

having regular appointments that touch on my progress w/things and stuff does help with the idea of time passing sometimes. not all the time tho

now i'm supposed to try and become comfortable with ANOTHER person who starts out a stranger and who from experience has a 50/50 chance of actually being good to talk to? yeah that sounds like an appealing use of my energy -_-

like seriously, so much of what makes up me is not stuff I feel comfortable sharing right away. It took me a bunch of visits to bring up NPD to my current therapist--which I had to, because she was bringing up NPD as a negative in regards to my abusive mother 🙃--and also there's the fact of

neither of the people I talked to were all that knowledgeable about Gender and Trans Stuff, current therapist I had to explain NPD and NPD stigma to, 99% of anything I was told about dealing with depression I knew already - it's a double-edged sword of satisfaction and frustration that therapy as far as I've had it feels like giving a presentation in a subject I'm an expert on and realizing that the person I'm talking to is an audience member, not an academic advisor. is that metaphor anything

is therapy really doing anything for me that watching Yu-Gi-Oh and writing notes about positive things that happened in my day in my journal isn't? genuinely reckoning with this question

ultimately I might be seeing if I can continue therapy w/someone else if for nothing else than the benefits of talking to someone face-to-face and getting out of the house every other week but i'll just be lying on the floor making complaining noises for a while regardless

Headcanons you say...

Mmmm... To be honest, I haven't thought about any before ^^". More than headcanons I tend to invent stuff out of nowhere, but maybe I'll try creating some ideas just for u 🙃.

I apologize in advance if get off the rails tho ;-;

So, let me see... I like to think that Scarlet and N.A.O.M.I. had met before the SABA game events and their relationship could've probably ended in some sort of frienship. This idea is mainly based on the fact of the existence of the Plasma Pumps. Let me explain:

First, let's start with the facts. During one cutscene of SABA, Scarlet says the following:

"(...) the Interstellar Junction, where no sack person has gone before...

No, wait, actually I think I have gone there before."

With this on mind, we can assume that Scarlet is (most likely) the first sackling that has ever steped on there. This means that N.A.O.M.I. has NEVER met a sackling before (although I beleive it's true that she KNOWS about them, since "Massive Inteligence" is part of her name, so she should have lots (if not all) of Craftworld's information storaged in her mind). So, why would she create a powerup for sacklings if none of them ever come to visit? Well, this creation's existence would be justified if it was made especifically FOR Scarlet (however, any sackling is capable of equiping it).

Let me explain myself:

Scarlet could've probably still be Knitted Knight in training by that time, but due to her adventurous spirit she went a step forward and traveled to the place ''where no sack person has gone before'' to prove her abilities. There, she was definitely given a warm welcome by N.A.O.M.I., who could've been kinda excited to finally have some company.

I think that Scarlet stayed in the Interstellar Junction for more than just a few days, where she would've probably been talking about her adventures and how no one is going to beleive she made it there, and N.A.O.M.I., she would've listened to it all gladly, since knowing lots information and data doesn't compare to the telling of a good story, a personal experience, an adventure. And so they bonded.

They found out that, in a way or another, they weren't very different from each other (not in personality though). N.A.O.M.I. learnt that Scarlet is a liiittle more adventurous and risk-taking than the avarage sackling, who prefer staying in the calm town of Loom instead of risking their lives going who knows where, so it was revealed that Scarlet thought her life was being kinda monotonous. That would explain better what she was doing in the Interstellar Junction.

And for N.A.O.M.I. this was quite the information. True, she knew LOTS of things, but that doesn't mean knowing a specific individual, and in fact, this has become quite a problem as time passed. When you (think) you know kinda everything, your daily life is as monotonous as can be: there's literally nothing new to 'learn' in any day. But now, this monotony was broken, not only by a sackling visitor (smth stragely enough) but also by a true adventurer and 'storyteller', someone who could make her feel like traveling through the entire Craftwold because, as ironic as it sounds, I beleive she hasn't been able of doing it (travel) by herself, since the Interstellar Junction needs her constant supervision.

In return, she decided to give Scarlet a gift, the Plasma Pumps, since she noticed the sackling was thirsty for some good challenging scenarios. (And probably to keep her entertained while she was busy doing stuff). She created them for Scarlet because she was a friend, a very good one, (you don't create such stuff for a 'nobody' after all) who showed her a little bit more about the world and life.

I wonder though why I have the feeling that Scarlet kinda avoids her through the development of the game (S:ABA). Probably a misunderstanding happened? They had to divide paths? I'm not sure, but I just have this feeling. I don't have any evidence for this last idea though (or some other previous ones ;-;), but sounds interesting enough :^

Couldn't agree more with your latest post. I enjoyed the Armony scenes in ep 5 but agree that it was rushed and could use more development. It seems odd that Thony & Arman have never had a single convo about their relationship and/or his marriage (except indirectly in Mexico). I guess it's romantic that T was willing to risk going to jail (even tho she has a medically fragile kid who just lost his father) to save Arman who is in crises but what are his intentions? He treats Thony differently when Nadia is around and seems jealous of N's involvement with Robert. I like nuanced characters but this just seems clunky. As you noted, I feel like the writers have stalled things (and written inconsistently) in an effort to delay Armony. I hope that things start to progress (even if not overtly romantic) soon - perhaps ep 5 was a turning point. So much potential! Tx.

so personally, i don’t really mind that they haven’t really addressed the nature of their relationship. i think it’s almost human nature to avoid full on defining something that holds a lot of meaning but it’s unclear to what extent. there’s almost something exciting about having this unspoken undefined bond, because it means the boundaries can be limitless. i think the show has done a good job of having other characters question arman and thony about their relationship and neither of them really being able to answer clearly because it’s confusing to them too

what i feel like has been missing is just them talking about where they are in their lives. i care less about the romantic nature of it vs like, seeing them confide in each other and support each other just as people who care about one another. or if they’re purposefully not opening up to one another, explain why?? we got a super condensed conversation at the end of ep5 but overall it’s just felt like missed opportunity after missed opportunity to give us more, to really flesh out the characters. to your point, fingers crossed that ep5 was a turning point and we start to see a little more in future scenes?

yeah i can’t say i’m like suuuper thrilled that the show went in the triangle/quadrangle route, especially with the current way it’s been written. i feel like the show is trying to ignore/justify the armony infidelity by downplaying what happened between them and creating some other outside force (kamdar) to possibly destroy arman’s marriage to nadia. setting the armony of it all aside, instead of having that marriage dissolve from its own problems, they’re just made to seem like victims of kamdar’s manipulations; the agency to make their own (bad) choices has been taken away. i’ve read lots of good meta pieces about their failing marriage but ateotd they’re just (really smart!) interpretations because the show itself hasn’t given us enough to know for sure either way, imo

i feel the need to write this at the end of every post lol but i want to make it clear that i still very much enjoy this show! there have been scenes i’ve loved and some writing choices that i think have been smart. i just can’t help but be left with the feeling of wanting more. hopefully there’s still half a season to flip all of this on its head 🙃
