snail! (yes, that’s the word!)
description of death under the cut, so don't read it you're not up for that :3
Sheik slowed, his pace akin to that of a snail as he crept towards his brother-or what was left of him. Broken in his casket of leaves and broken branches, parts of his body twisted and burnt from the Guardian's beams.
Sheik's vision blurred, the earth tilted on its axis, and he fell. The rain soaked grass was beautiful and soothing against his boiling cheeks, and through his muddled vision his brother didn't look half as dead...
Because that's what he was. Dead. Forever gone.
Sheik let himself fall, his senses dulling, till all he could see was the faint sillhouette of a snail inching up one of the branches that framed his brother.
Inch, inch, inch. Centimetres at a time. This little creature didn't care about his brother, or the Guardian patrolling nearby. It didn't care at all.
Sheik snapped upright, grabbed the snail, crushed it, and threw it far off into the bushes nearby.

I'm getting so sick of major female characters in historical media being incredibly feisty, outspoken and public defenders of women's rights with little to no realistic repercussions. Yes it feels like pandering, yes it's unrealistic and takes me out of the story, yes the dialogue almost always rings false - but beyond all that I think it does such a disservice to the women who lived during those periods. I'm not embarrassed of the women in history who didn't use every chance they had to Stick It To The Man. I'm not ashamed of women who were resigned to or enjoyed their lot in life. They weren't letting the side down by not having and representing modern gender ideals. It says a lot about how you view average ordinary women if the idea of one of your main characters behaving like one makes them seem lame and uninteresting to you.

Try not to think about Roomies’ unique quirks in showing affection.
How Etho is bit awkward in showing it but craves physical touch, discovers that forehead touches work for him. And both Cleo and Grian recognise it and put an effort to reciprocate it.
How Grian wants to do things to show his appreciation for his team, it coming out with him bringing trinkets or spending quality time with his loved ones. How both Cleo and Etho accept his need to feel wanted and make sure to always have some physical reminder from their beloved avian.
How Cleo likes to see her boys happy. How sometimes to make it happen, they would manhandle them in the most playful way, with some extra forehead kisses to sweeten the deal.
Now try not to think about it

TW// Abuse implication
Thinking about possible Vox and Angel's interactions and how they'd go down. Theres such a unique mix of hatred to each other and common ground with their different experiences with Valentino, has me thinking.
Also just want to clarify I love Vox's character a LOT but ofc obv don't sympathise with him or think he is any way shape or form a decent individual, cant with stupid toxic dumbass x
AND IF YOU SEE ANY MISTAKES OR TYPOS NO YOU DONT- (i was so tired when drawing it forgive me TwT)
