I sometimes draw ship content & I will occasionally post it. So if you aren't comfy with that here's your heads up!! I also enjoy drawing gore art, death, creepy stuff, etc. So if you aren't comfy with that either here's your heads up!!
Requests/Commissions/Art Trades/etc:
I will only take/do art requests when I explicitly say that I am taking them at that moment! I lose motivation very easily however, so please don't get upset if I don't get to yours.
I rarely ever take commissions, however I have considered opening them up for things such as money (cash app/PayPal), DA points (if those are still a thing?), or other characters. I also would like at least half the payment beforehand! I will also send progress shots :)
Nowadays I'm very picky with art trades, since I've been scammed in the past. I'll only do one with you if we're mutuals, sorry. Other than that I'm not super strict with them! Just send me 1-2 progress shots and we're good 👍
As for adopts/characters for sale, I ask that you send the payment first, and then I shall send you the character. If you do not agree with this, simply do not purchase anything from me. :)

Favourite Stream Moments:
Streamed by Philza on Twitch on Monday 16th of November 2020
First stream after MCC12 win!!!
Wilbur is the driving force after any team he plays in bc he rallies the team together really well!
Phil REALLY wants that second coin
Funniest MCC moment according to Phil was Fundy in his Hello Kitty skin just standing next to them and Tapl going “Hello, kitty”
Mining stream today bc he wants a new speed mining area
Pog Tubbo got 100k viewers
Tommy asked for advice on figuring out which song caused his stream to mute
(The only way you can really now is by putting a now-playing thing on your screen bc twitch is awful with telling streamers which song caused them trouble)
1million vid might be Phil reacting to like,,,, really really old videos
The joke this stream is Phil being old (thanks quackity)
This is gonna be (this is LITERALLY the place where I switched over to Techno and a variety of other Dream SMP streams, which means that anything after this is from my rewatch, knowing what I know now. Anyway)
This is gonna be a chill mining stream so people watching dreamsmp don’t miss much (absolute jebaited lmaoooo)
Tim has literally donated 2k dollars in bits for his copypastas
Man’s committed
Both bits and subs are cheaper on pc than through the app! (bc google/apple takes a cut)
C418’s Memento Mori is a gorgeous song
Also condolences to all the unus annus people, I wasn’t one of those people but the concept seems awesome and I know it meant a lot to a lot of people
“Techno is sad” “Why? he gets to kill people today”
Phil is fully conviced Techno is fully prepped for war, with his firework deathtrap and potions and probably at least several sets of netherite. (Phil is ABSOLUTELY right)
An editor for the videos Phil wants to make (which compile 10-30 streams of each 3-5 hours) costs over a thousand dollars, which just... doesn’t pay itself back, especially with the risk of Phil not liking it, in which case it doesn’t even end up on youtube
He does hire editors for other videos (like the among us video), but hardcore is just too important for Phil!
People keep mispronouncing “Greedy, greedy Phil”? Not really, not 3d, and most certainly not pretty (looking at you Kristen)
Lol Phil went to the bathroom and Ian immediately started a message spamming “old, old, old, old”
Ian will record “Greedy, greedy, [Your Name]” for five dollars lmao
Tommy 200k viewrs POG
He’s asking chat for updates on the dreamsmp
“Is techno still hiding his power level?” (THIS MAN KNEW)
The amount of times he goes “oh we’re just chilling, just haning out” AAAAA
He’s not gonna tell us what the new build is gonna be, although it has like three different phases so even if he told people wouldn’t be able to build it before him
Phil crashed during Terra Swoop Force in MCC, but that was either due to lag because of server things, or because of the change in elytra mechanics
Techno has five complete sets of enchanted netherite (exactly like Phil’s prediction at the start of stream lmao)
Phil goes “Watch Will still die with full netherite” before chat tells him that he refuses to wear armour
“He’s too chaotic”
Techno 300k POG
“That must mean he’s about to murder soon” “Murder soon, pog?”
“Wilbur killed someone?” “PROUD”
Phil at one point literally edited a Dark Souls trailer into a PG version just so he could (sort of) illegally play it in his retail store
Most cursed sentence ever in Phil’s twitch chat: “Everyone is surrounding Schlatt in Wilbur’s drug van”
Phil’s analysis of Dream: He’s either bigbraining or lying (This was about there being no traitor... once again, Phil 5head)
“They got L’manberg back? Pog”
“How many people died for this?”
Not Karl Jacobcs! (at karl dying 4 times)
Phil vibes with George building his house during the war, bc he’s just chilling and playing minecraft as well lmao
Phil is slightly losing his mind at the presidency being handed around lol
“Wait where’s wil going?” here we go
“what are you doing”
“I’m hacking in” lmaooooo honestly i’m curious how it would’ve gone if he hadn’t been immediately timed out lol
“mhm”
Phil’s expressions lol, his conflict between amusement and roleplaying and genuine concern with where this is going lol
Wilbur actually went “Killza” ??? lol i missed that the first 20 times
“You just had to throw your toys out the pram”
Phil’s genuine panic at hearing that Techno is the traitor lol, Phil might be the only person who knows what Techno truly is capable of
Phil losing it at Techno messing up placing the wither heads lol
Everyone panicking while Phil just goes into Philza Minecraft mode and starts actually shootingdown the withers
Techno being “Phil you’ve been on this server for ten minutes and you’re already stacked?!” after Phil raided Tommy’s corpse
Phil’s headnod at Techno going “at least he was lawfully elected“
Just Phil’s general amusement at the kids being all dramatic
“At least the pokimane statue didn’t get blown up”
“i just find it funny that there was no tnt under that statue”
Phil still being in the vc with the others while walking away and just,,,, watching Dream blow up Tommy’s base
I don’t think animatics of the dream-tubbo-tommy conversation at the bench show enough of the dozen people standing around them while they were talking lol
Honestly everyone in general just,,, sitting around in a vc with each other and jumping around doing nothing now that the roleplaying is over is really funny
“I wonder how many netherite sets despawned” Phil opens his inventory to show his stolen set “yeah, despawned”
Karl fanboying over Phil is a mood btw
Tubbo getting completely distracted for a bit because phil can finally help him with the guardian farm
#november16th
rip the twitter employee
...does Phil know what a dreamon is?
Phil threatening to shoot the pokimane statue while everyone was walking quietly
I’m really curious what builds Phil is gonna make/help with on the server!
Also I can’t wait for the tubbo and phil content lol
“i don’t want a shitty little furry as a grandson”
rip ponk’s lemon tree
Phil’s disappointment in every single of his kids except for Techno lol
(i’m gonna make a post on that lmao)
“oh come on, not karl” “he was the weakest!”
I admire Techno’s marketing tactics
Techno (almost) crashing the server with grinding the spider spawner
ANTARCTIC EMPIRE 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO
Techno assassinating George while Phil just watches (and the rest doesn’t do anything either??)
why do they keep scheduling events for weekdays?
Techno joked about Phil farming clout with him but Phil hit 30k viewers on a mining stream two days after this sooo
“am i a bad influence?”
I do feel Techno with the (lack of) suspicion with the whole traitor thing
“i’ll spend five hours stripmining, i’ll just grind for five hours” *side eyes the next stream where he mines for 8 hours*
Techno sabotaging the netherite armour is amazing
Wilbur begged people not to walk around manberg during nighttime? (bc the creeper explosions might actually set off the eleven stacks of tnt lol)
“hey phil did you like watching me destroy everything I build? :)”
annnnd T I M is back with a risotto recipe
I am also currently having vivid flashbacks to that time Wilbur showed something to Phil on his stream, but neither of them would tell us what
Shoutout to T I M for the prime sellout since Phil won’t do it
I want to be friends with Wilbur purely so he’ll sent me incredibly rare memes lol
420 SUBSSS
every time all the new people are so confused lol
Blend W is even more,,, whatever it is, when you watch it on 1,5x speed if anyone wanted to know
Rip Techno’s raid
Rip Phil’s chat
RIP TECHNO’S OFFLINE CHAT
you will be dearly missed, even if you guys are incredibly deranged and somewhat terrifying
Techno just having his viewers prime sub to Phil makes me soft
Lol he just showed Techno’s hidden chest when next stream he actually hides his screen when he does it again lol
How many bases does Techno have? Will we ever know? (no.)
...I kind of want to see Techno actually do faction pvp
“this is a filler arc”
chat immediately finding the woonland mansion as soon as they talked about it
We went from 420subs to 700+ in like,,, half an hour maybe?
the power of techno chat
Someone make a compilation of the subscribe to technoblade in everyone’s videos once they’re out please
Kristin begging Phil in chat not to go buy a cheeseburger at midnight
“just chunk error bedrock l’manberg”
honestly? i’m all for it
Techno actually logging on to “save” Phil froma baby zombie
“Phil is the jesus of minecraft!!”
Riptide is absolutely the most broken mode of transportation on the server
Cheeseburger time!!!
Honestly I didn’t realise it but during those streams they really just go without food for 6+ hours rip

The "Olympicgasm" Ends Today. Then, What?
Tumblr media
The 2020 Tokyo Olympics (thank you COVID for this eternal quiz question - When was the 2020 Olympics held?) ends today, and India finishes 48th, ranked based on some sorting algorithm that prefers Gold medal over overall medal tally (surely some South-Indian was on that decision meeting. Yahh, Racist Alert!). This was the largest contingent ever sent to the Olympics by India and has also been its most successful. The first Indian athletics Gold Medal, the resurgence of Indian Hockey, and the marvellous performances apart, it also showcased the potency that we have been underplaying for ages, that our sportsperson can reach out and challenge the best in the world. 7 medals in total doesn’t speak volumes when we boast of one of the worst per capita medal counts, however that “capita” did raise its capitum this time around.
This edition of the Olympics noticed the largest viewership in India. Each event that Indians participated was covered. The wins were cheered, the losses were sympathised with, statuses had their frenzy game along with posts and tweets and reels and stories and what not. WhatsApp forwards in groups had a daily match schedule in it. Mornings began with an update of the leader boards. We watched the 50km walk, the heats of the races, and yes, a solo Indian horse and its companion (don’t say master) making India proud. And cumulatively as a nation we gasped, choked on our tears, drank in our emotions, cherished the moments, and were elated at every feat achieved – irrespective of a victory or a loss, irrespective of podium or farewell – for us they were the winners. When Neeraj Chopra took that last throw, that Javelin was headed straight for glory, of Olympics, of Indian sports fraternity, of Indian audiences glued to the scores, and a biopic, maybe. “The journey not the arrival matters”, TS Eliot had written – but is it, really?
If you are reading this on the 8th of August 2021, then the Olympic ends today, and with it a fairy-tale ends too. What happens from 9th? What changes? We get back again to see whether India wins on the 5thday or not, or get on our work. That’s it.
“Citius, Altius, Fortius – Communiter” reads the revised Olympic motto. “Communiter” was added to exemplify “the togetherness” that we should have for the sports – but in a greater truer sense, do we? How far are we from forgetting all this – a Kohli century away? A Bumrah fiver away? A Premiere League Puskas goal nominee away? – How far are we?
I, You, We can name the all the players who have played for Indian Men’s Cricket Team since the 2000s, name each position that Messi has ever played, and some more and something else. But can we name all the players of our hockey teams? Do we know who all even participated in athletics? Did we know any others before they won us a medal? Yes, won us a medal – while they were fighting against obscurity and obstacles to beat humans trained in world-class institutions or similar scenarios – we basked in their medals. There is no malafide intent in basking in their glory, forgetting them like a beach tan surely is a maleficent act.
These performers will withstand the scourge of time, their medals will, their victories will and even their defeats will – what will we be left with? Politicisation of their descent, a mockery of their caste, or just an attitude of indifference towards them, for those who did not win a medal, aren’t worth remembering, and those who did are worth for some hours more. Whilst I can enlist each series India has won or lost and the events inter-alia. In a population of half a billion adults who have access to some sort of media, 1 million saw the Olympics. Guess the number that clocked in for the Test Championship? And no one is to blame, as we are the perpetrators as a community. We are a class of sloganeers, an age of idol-creators, a community of tweeters and followers, what we aren’t is that we are not beholders of this beauty that we witnessed in the past 2 weeks.
A tweet is doing the rounds, “There are decades where nothing happens; and there are weeks where decades happen.” And thus, what shall we wait for – the decade or the week? Will in this coming decade more parents send their children towards sports. Forget “them”, in the next decade the ones reading this most likely would be parents, I will be a parent – will they, will I – maybe now I say yes, the Halo Effect – but what about a decade later, and the next decade or the decade thence? So, again we will wait for a week that will define the entire decade, or more to come. We will wait for those weeks to make ourselves proud, proud of the bygone 520 weeks where we did nothing to deserve this 1. Thus, and thus, it will happen again, or not – no one knows.
No one in their right minds can take anything away from these sportspersons, neither their glory nor their vain. What will erase is a meek show of profound vanity that we presumed has exculpated us from all those years of wilful turning away the eye. Whether or not we expunge these stars from our horizon or not, they will shine bright for those who have a cloudless conscience and a penchant to look in the right direction.
The epitaph of one of history’s greatest astronomers Sir William Herschel reads, “Coelorum Perrupit Claustra” (he broke through the confines of heaven) – similarly maybe someday our stars will break free from their asylums of obscurity, and we from our ceilings of sporadic sincerity.
Olympics, sports, and those who profess it are too venerable to be compared with the adage “-gasm”, and if taken as profanity, then with apologies, I will beg to differ. However, when scribbling the details that’s what kept coming to me – these past weeks were just moments of elation, a spurt of joy, a plateau of comradery, and then will decline into just a thing once. “La petit mort”shouldn’t be how we treat our athletes, and gratification from them isn’t what we should treat ourselves too either.
And till the next fortnight of glory – let us let the whoosh of the javelin in air, the burn of the skids of track, the scoops of the sticks, the swoosh of the shuttle, the twangs of the bows, the recoils of the guns, the force of the pins, the elegance of the jumps, and above all the sacrifice, courage, valour and achievement of these men and women, from amongst us be the clarion call that was essential but was being ignored.
Let’s Wake Up!

About that New Project (UPDATED)
EDIT: I updated and I added MORE CHARACTERS (something felt imbalanced still and I couldn’t stop lol) and I actually did general descriptions for all of them... They’re not extensive and may change, however.
———
The thing I was talking about in my Soune Taya post...
The Mega Project?
Well... it was going to be a visual novel concept.
But since I have no skill in making a VN, I’m just going to write a story. Like the anime that will be based off the VN. Like Clannad’s anime or something.
It’s going to be long since I have (ahem) FOURTY-SIX (46) WHOLE CHARACTERS WITH ROUTES THAT I’M GOING TO INCORPORATE.
This is why I said I will never ever finish it, even if I devote my entire life to it.
But it won’t feel right without all these characters. I WANT to have all these characters. I’m a “go big or go home” person. I’m too ambitious and I know that.
So.
Here are the characters.
Haku, Neru, Miku, Luka, Teto, Gumi, Meiko, Lapis, Merli, Lily, IA, Yukari, Uta, Zatsune, Rin, Len, Kaito, Akaito, Dell, Gakupo, Yuuma, Piko, Mizuki, Nigaito, Dex, Daina, Ruby, Taya, Longya, Ling, Momo, SeeU, Ruko, Ritsu, Miki, Aku, Bruno, Clara, Iroha, Yuu, Wil, Kyo, Akari, Qingxian, Anon, Kanon In the story adaption, Uta Utane (Defoko) will take the role as the player/main character, and learns everyone’s backstories. She will be the one with the (gigantic) “harem” around her. Think, Tomoya from Clannad. But IF there’s ever an actual game, I’ll plan on Uta being one of the date-able characters. She’ll be your childhood friend.
The characters are all college students here. They are all college-age, roughly between 18-26, depending on which character. I may give them specific ages eventually.
Here are descriptions I thought of already. For some of these Loids, this is my first time EVER writing or portraying them. Ever.
(Full names are listed in Western order. This is partly due to the story taking place in the USA, in a “Japantown” sort of place to explain the prominent Japanese population.)
——————————————————
Haku Yowane- A shy, gloomy girl who is looking to join in the school’s choir... However, the choir doesn’t have enough members. And it’s not like Haku is a good enough singer to singlehandedly bring it back to life... or confident to work up the courage to even audition. Haku seems to depend on Neru, her only friend, to comfort her when she gets down. Haku is the cousin of the popular Miku Hatsune, the most popular girl in the school and star singer in the choir. Neru Akita- A tomboy with a hot temper. But inside, she hides delicate feelings. She seems to always be with Haku, cheering her up when she gets down. The two seem to only have each other. Miku Hatsune- A very popular girl and star singer in the choir. A bubbly, cheerful sweetheart. Has lots of friends and is always smiling. Idealistic and doesn’t believe in impossible. Miku dreams big, but apparently she gets very depressed when her dreams are crushed. Luckily that never seems to happen... for now. Luka Megurine- A polite and elegant woman. She can appear aloof and intimidating at first, but is actually just shy. She is half Japanese, a quarter French, and a quarter German. Teto Kasane- A bubbly girl who can be childish. Is playful, weird, and a bit demanding. Very clumsy. Gumi- A girl who can be a bit shy, but once you get past that, Gumi is unique, free-spirited, and chill. She likes art and reading books. She keeps a sketchbook with her at all times. Meiko Sakine- The confident, mature woman of the group. Energetic and loves to party. Still responsible. Like a mother or older sister. Has quite a temper, though she mostly uses it to defend others... Lapis Aoki- Merli’s stepsister, who seems to be the opposite of her. Bubbly and playful, and quite childish. Quite friendly. However, she can be a bit selfish at times. Lapis is Japanese, though her adoptive sister Merli is Indian. Merli Aoki- Lapis’ stepsister, who seems to be the opposite of her. She can seem cold and distant, even a bit harsh at first. But inside, she is very thoughtful and willing to help those important to her. Merli is Indian, though she was adopted into Lapis’ Japanese family after the death of her parents. Lily- The school’s toughest female delinquent. IA- An idolized girl in the school for her good looks and singing skills. However, she hides dark feelings? Yukari Yuzuki- Half sister to Akari Kizuna. Looks up to IA but also feels she will never be as good as her. Uta Utane- A rather plain, bluntly-spoken person who doesn’t see much in life. Usually bored, silent, and rather deadpan. Once a bright girl with lots of dreams. Deep inside, she is passionate and caring, really... Can it be restored? She is non-binary, going mostly by she/her. Miku Zatsune- Edgy and hates Miku. She would rather be called Zatsune, because her first name happens to be Miku, like the person she despises so much... But could there be something deeper to her? Rin Kagamine- Rin is a bit chaotic. She is bold, brash, athletic, and charming. She is also just plain nuts. Len Kagamine- Len fries to be cool and hip, but he is just a big dork. He is quite the comedian however, sometimes unintentionally. Kaito Shion- Kaito is a silly boy. He loves ice cream, unicorns, rainbows, and anything fluffy. But he also has moments of seriousness where he says really deep, philosophical things. He is quite romantic. Akaito Shion- Akaito is a sarcastic and grumpy boy, but when it comes to romance, he gets quite passionate. He sometimes flirts around with girls, but when he finally finds a true love with a girl (or guy) who truly changes his life... well... it’s a bit different. Dell Honne- Dell is usually in a bad mood. He currently lives with a father who barely acknowledges him. He tends to keep it all inside, and he’s really just lonely and needs to find someone to vent to. He enjoys computer programming and composing electronic music. He is Haku’s half-brother, but they didn’t grow up together. Gakupo Kamui- Gakupo likes doing kendo and martial arts, and is generally athletic. He is a nice guy who also loves animals and history. He seems serious, but can be unexpectedly silly sometimes. He likes embracing his Japanese and Ainu heritage. Yuuma- Yuuma likes music and is quite popular. He may seem hard to approach, because sometimes he doesn’t know what to say. He is a little blunt at times, but has a good heart. He has a crush on Mizuki. Piko Utatane- Piko is a genius who loves astronomy and excels in mathematics and physics. He is a shy and compassionate person, but whenever he opens his mouth, he sounds very strict. He is bad at socializing and making friends, which leaves him quite lonely. On top of that, he is sickly and absent from school often. Piko wishes to make a friend. His first friend in the school is Lapis Aoki, who pretends to be a fairy to grant his wish. After a while, Lapis declares that she wants to be Piko’s friend. Mizuki- Mizuki is a singer who also plays the a Japanese harp (koto.) She is quite a charming person and seems to flirt with many people... even girls... but not Yuuma. Since Yuuma has a crush on Mizuki, this discourages him. Nigaito Shion- The youngest of the three Shion bothers. Nigaito’s nicknames are Nini and Nii. He is rather sickly, but remains to have a warm and pure heart. Dex- Daina’s childhood friend. Best friends, even though they are of completely different genders, and with very different personalities. Some people wonder how it works. Dex is silly, fun, a bit of a party animal, but he is still very caring and compassionate. He just needs a bit of help devoting himself to his studies. But he is quite intelligent when he is focused. He is Black, Creole, and is learning French. Daina- Dex’s childhood friend. Best friends, even though they are of completely different genders, and with very different personalities. Some people wonder how it works. Daina likes to study and learn, and doesn’t like atmospheres like parties so much. She prefers quiet, peaceful places. She may seem a bit distant on the outside, but she is just a little shy. She is White, with English and French heritage. Ruby- Ruby is rather confident, yet nice, and will always give people a helping hand. She is Black and Latina. Taya Soune- Taya is incredibly polite, bowing at many occasions and also offering to do favors a lot. He speaks very formally. He is non-binary, but go mostly by he/him. Longya Yuezheng- A quite serious man who is dutiful and studious. Protective over his younger sister, Ling, and monitors her safety constantly. This is due to Ling nearly getting into a tragic accident when they were younger, traumatizing Longya. He is Chinese. Ling Yuezheng- Ling is a hardworking student, however she has a playful side and she feels lonely that she doesn’t have many friends and is devoting her life to studying. Momo Momone- A peaceful, sleepy girl. Rather low-energy and tranquil. However, Momo has quite a temper when it comes to injustice. SeeU- A rather eccentric, bold and energetic girl with “the light of the stars in her eyes.” She is Korean. Ruko Yokune- Ruko is one of the most mature characters, having a lot of wisdom about life and many experiences. However, they still have moments where they need a helping hand. Ruko is non-binary, mostly going by she/her or they/them. Ritsu Namine- Ritsu is rather brash, but means well. He is non-binary and mostly go by he/him. Miki- Loves romance anime/manga and is obsessed with “cute couples.” A true fangirl. Acts cute and animated. Iroha’s best friend. Aku Yamine- Hates her name, because it’s pronounced the same as the word for “evil” in Japanese. Prefers to be called Akurin. Aku is a very nice and naive, somewhat clumsy girl with big dreams. Is half Black and half Japanese. Bruno- Black Latino, lived in the Dominican Republic. Polite and soft-spoken, but a talented guitarist. Clara- From Colombia, and is Latina. A rather doting girl who somehow feels like both a mother and a little sister. Iroha Nekomura- Loves cute things and stuffed animals. Is kind of insecure and doesn’t find herself very cute, though her best friend Miki constantly reassures her. Yuu- A sweet, cheerful guy who is always filled with energy. Half English, half Japanese. He is in a band with Wil and Kyo called ZOLA PROJECT. Wil- A sophisticated, fashionable guy who is quite outgoing. He is Black. He is in a band with Yuu and Kyo called ZOLA PROJECT. Kyo- A wild, energetic guy who is always raring to go. He is Japanese. He is in a band with Yuu and Wil called ZOLA PROJECT. Akari Kizuna- Yukari Yuzuki’s half-sister. Cheerful and sweet, and wants to make others smile... even though many heavy thoughts are hiding behind her own smile. Qingxian Mo- She seems very nice, but she’s actually a bit self-absorbed. Since her name is hard to pronounce for English-speakers, she insists on being called Qing (pronounced like Ching.)

All of the k-dramas I have ever watched
I will write a little synopsis first and then my opinion. I will warn if there is any chance of getting a spoiler.
Strong woman Do Bong Soon
Tumblr media
× First drama I have ever watched.
The story goes about a girl who is incredibly strong because every woman that’s born in her family is AMAZINGLY strong. Is like a superpower. She doesn’t have a job, so she’s looking for one. There are ladies being kidnapped and they’re trying to catch the person who’s doing it.
× GREAT OST.
× Handsome, funny guy such as Hyungsik acting as Mr. Ahn.
× Great actors such as Hyungsik(x2), Boyoung and Suk ho. Great acting.
× I think there was some empty spaces in the plot SPOILER: like, where the guy who is kidnapping the girls gets his money??
× SPOILER: The whole story they’re trying to make the girl look as if she is powerful, and there are all these men trying to tear her down ONLY because she is a woman and that means she is weak. At the beginning I look at that as a cool sign of hey, women are not weak, look! but when she loses her powers she needs to rely ON MEN to fight the kidnapper. Points down.
Part time idol
Tumblr media
This is about a man who is in charge of a kpop company, and he wants to put together a group. He creates a mixed gender group, but the thing is that all of the members have a flaw that has to be fixed.
× Really short drama. (This is a good point haha)
× Funny.
× In five chapters you get to see a full evolution in the characters.
× It also has a back story that helps us to understand why the present is like it is.
× Helps us to see how ppl can get through problems in life.
× Talks about friendship and loyalty.
× But I don’t think that’s actually how companies work tho.
× Handsome actors and beautiful actresses.
× Actually not great acting but it’s still okay.
Boys over flowers
Tumblr media
This is about a girl who gets into a rich ppl school, and she starts to ‘challenge’ the bad arrogant boys in the school, f4.
×I didn’t like it.
× It speaks about friendship. SPOILER: When Jihoo had to let go Jandi because Joon Pyo loved her.
× They did a great job making us see how the character was feeling without actually saying it. Not great performances/acting, but still good.
×A little extremist. SPOILER: Jandi’s parents, for example. The mom was terribly dramatic and the dad just followed her lead as their son.
×SPOILER: I just didn’t like it because, you know, you’re Jandi and instead of going with the good boy who treats you like a queen, you go with the other guy joonpyo. get out joonpyo
× SPOILER: so cliche that Joonpyo falls in love with Jandi cuz she is the only girl that has been rude to him. Also cliche that the rich parents don’t pay attention to their son. Cliche that the mother doesn’t want his kid to marry the poor girl. Cliche that the mother wants to control his kids life. Cliche that two guys are in love with the same girl, but she does only love one of them although at some point she liked the other one, or both of them. Cliche the part where they travel to joonpyo’s beach and that little girl gives Jandi something that she has to give to someone she loves. All that sentence was SO cliche.
× SPOILER: cliche that the rich kids have parents issues, but Jandi, who is poor, doesn’t.
× It really doesn’t have a sense of time, like in the last chapter five years past in twenty seconds.
Choco bank
Tumblr media
Chocolate and financial advising combine. Jongin studied to work in a bank, but he has no job. Suddenly he runs into HaChoco, who has a chocolate business which is broke.
× Short drama.
× Really cute
× Kai from exo is in it.
× Teaches you that you have to live your dreams and not your parent’s
× Easy to watch.
× We get to see the characters transformations in five chapters only, fifteen minutes each.
Hwarang
Tumblr media
× My favorite drama.
The story goes about a queen who has had her child hidden from the enemies: the guys who killed her husband. He wants to have the power, but his mother is not willing to give it. Also, she kills everyone who sees his son. On the other side, there are two friends who go to the capital to meet the family of one them.
× Historical drama.
× Good OST GREAT OST
× Really good actors as Seojoon, Hyungsik, Go Ara, just to name some.
× All of the acting was awesome.
× All of the characters have turns and transformation archs, which means that at the beginning they were at some point (like their thoughts and lifestyle) but as the plot advances and the characters go through experiences, they change. SPOILER: As Ji Dwi, when he realized that if he didn't do anything to get the throne, his mother was not going to give it to him.
× A lot of things get explained, it doesn't just happen. SPOILER: Hansung loves Sunwoo so much cause he makes Hansung feel like he can be strong and stop the abuse of his hyung from his grandfather.
× It always keeps you waiting cause you don't know what's going to happen and how are they going to solve their problems
×I think it was kind of cliche, but they did know how to go on with it. SPOILER: the love triangle between Ji Dwi, Sunwoo and Ah Ro, but you don't usually see a love triangle where you think the girl is iN lOvE wItH hEr bRotHr. Also, the powerful mom who 'hates' her son. That's pretty much what I have seen until now, so just keep on waiting and I will keep on re-updating this, and I wil upload them with the tag #crisskpopedits with my kpop edits ♥
If you have any recomendationa I will be happy to watch the movie/drama you recommend me. I’m looking forward to watch more !

Convert To FLAC (Online & Free)
In the event you've ever tried to seek for software that may convert audio and video files on Home windows, you would possibly know how hard it can be to seek out dedicated options which can be truly free and performance as marketed. FileZigZag is a FLAC to MP3 converter free online that's efficient. It has extra options with reducing-edge performance. It's got a sophisticated converter feature that simplifies all conversion operations. To convert FLAC to MP3 on-line is easy and fun for the reason that page is understandable making it easy to convert information. Fortunately, if you want to convert Apple Music losslessly with half dimension of authentic file, NoteBurner Apple Music Converter will enable you, it supports to output file to FLAC format with zero loss. The next is a detailed tutorial on methods to convert Apple Music information to FLAC with the newest version of NoteBurner Apple Music Converter. Please download this great tool in your Home windows PC or Mac first earlier than getting started.
Along with changing single audio files into other codecs in bulk, Www.Audio-Transcoder.Com you possibly can join multiple files into one bigger audio files with Freemake Audio Converter. You may also alter the output high quality before changing recordsdata. Stabilize or Enhance MP3 Audio quality. Updated program: Pazera Free MKV to AVI Converter 1.three. FLAC is a common lossless format. It doesn't modify the audio stream, and flac to mp3 converter online free url the sound encoded with this format is an identical to the unique. It is often used to playback the sound on excessive-end audio programs. Its playback assist on gadgets and players is limited, due to this fact, if desired, it's usually transformed to different formats prior to listening in a player. I'm really attempting to playflac on iTunes to see if it wil support multichannel rips from DTS or DVD-A. I do know you can play multichannel DTS rips ->alac in your ATV4 but I actually need this to work with iTunes however I suspect the issue isn't just with the format, but a limitation with iTunes. Considering that it helps other surround formats passthrough like PCM it doesn't make sense to pay the licensing for use on AppleTV but completely neglect iTunes for nearly twenty years now. Similarly, it is absurd that Apple still wont supportflac, a free format, presumably as a result of they want people usingalac becaus thats so bloody necessary…flac is nice because it's a absolutely taggable format that plays on all platforms- except iTunes! Apple's deliberate solely game in town" schtick is admittedly getting previous. Free FLAC to MP3 Converter can also converts FLAC tiles to WAV. This provides you the benefit of better compression without a loss in output quality. On the next window you can add the file(s) you want to convert and you may embrace many directly, even when they are completely different file varieties, as long as you need them to be the identical output file type. For example we included both MP4 and M4A recordsdata in the identical workload to be encoded as MP3 as a substitute. Locate the file to be transformed and add it to the site. This app is only out there for iPhone and iPad , but the consumer interface is clean and straightforward to navigate. It imports more than 30 file varieties, together with popular video formats, and exports to 10 of the most popular audio codecs. The enter and output file varieties aren't as complete because the Swap app, but this app has a extra user-pleasant interface. There is a file browser feature that makes it easy to search out the audio file you need to convert and share your converted file across standard social media platforms instantly from the app. The easy and straightforward Free Audio Converter from Freemake (for Windows solely) is one other good choice. With this utility, you simply drag your audio into this system window, choose your output format from the listing at the bottom, and you're good to go. It helps common audio formats akin to MP3, AAC, WMA, OGG, and FLAC. Choose ".mp3" from the drop-down selector. You can quickly invite others to view, obtain and collaborate on all of the files you want, no electronic mail attachment needed. You're achieved! Don't forget to delete the original FLAC files. If you wish to convert your FLAC audio file with great and high-high quality outcomes, then Wondershare FLAC Converter is one of the best converter software on your concern. It stands out amongst different video converter programs with 30X times sooner pace with out quality loss. Should you typically visit video-hosting sites like YouTube, you will love their one-click on obtain, which lets you download movies instantly for offline playback. Swap Audio Converter is an easy desktop app which lets you convert FLAC to mp3 and can also convert information between as much as 40 formats in case your wants are extra particular. It might probably also convert an entire FLAC playlist to mp3 and permits to entry online database to add music information.
Tumblr media
So what are you able to do when you have information in certainly one of these formats and wish to add them to iTunes? There are a variety of packages that may convert audio information from one format to another. tmkk's free XLD is my software of selection, because it manages each audio file format I've ever come across, along with some I've never heard of, and even helps cue files. Stephen Sales space's free Max is one other tool that converts many audio file codecs. And when you've got Roxio's Toast 11 Titanium (and a few earlier versions), you'll be able to convert from FLAC or Ogg Vorbis to iTunes-pleasant formats.
Tumblr media
Okay, if the On-line Audio Converter someway wasn't fast enough for you, here's essentially the most streamlined model of all. Choose a file, select your MP3 output format, select from four high quality options, and convert. That's it. There isn't any room for customization, cloud storage administration, or anything, just pure conversion that's excellent for a few fast file adjustments. That being stated, the web site does supply a free download of a far more advanced instrument on your desktop that we really like. If did not wind as an online choose, it might have most likely made it in as one in every of our desktop choices.Added converting FLAC to Ogg recordsdata. 5KPlayer is repeatedly careworn to be a multifunctional, quick, protected and steady offline FLAC file converter able to video audio conversion integrated with video music playback , online video music download and video audio AirPlay to give you nice convenience to take pleasure in various media files. When you're working with recordsdata already compressed right into a lossless format likeflac orape, you possibly can simply decompress them towav without dropping any data for editing earlier than compressing once more to whatever format you want.

Wednesday Roundups 7/6/17
Wow I had a lot to read and I still managed to turn it out faster than I turn out about 90% of these which I’m not sure if it’s a reflection on my reading and writing skills getting better or if I was stressing out over doing these way too much in the past.
Regardless, we have quite a variety this week and still seem to be celebrating Wonder Joy so let’s just get into it~
Tumblr media
DC’s Batman, Creator Owned CBLDF Defender, Marvel’s Spider-Man/Deadpool, DC’s Superman, IDW’s Transformers: Lost Light, DC’s Wonder Woman FCBD, DC’s Wonder Woman: Steve Trevor, Viz’s Yona of the Dawn
DC’s Batman (2016-present) #24 Tom King, David Finch, Danny Miki, Clay Mann, Seth Mann, Jordie Bellaire
Tumblr media
Okay, so I follow Batman at a distance because I’ll be completely honest: Tom King absolutely lost me with the Gotham and Gotham Girl plot because I just could not get into it, and it annoyed me, so I’ve been hands off with the title for the most part, a decision I only double downed on with the Catwoman debacle and my correct assumption in King really relying too heavily on TWISTS. a
....
But I absolutely picked up this issue because even if nothing in my thinking brain believes, at all, that this will be allowed to change the status quo between Bruce and Selina...
I love BatCat so much you guys.
He proposed. And I bought it purely for those pages.
I have to emphasize it was for those pages alone because I could not have cared less about Claire and Bruce’s conversation because I’m just so tired of how many people there are in Gotham and how this conversation would have been so much more meaningful if it came from Kate or Dick or Tim or Cass or Duke or Harper or Damian or Julia or Luke or Jean Paul or Leslie or -- THERE ARE SO MANY BAT CHARACTERS THAT ARE NOT BEING USED TO THEIR FULL POTENTIAL RIGHT NOW DAMMIT.
The conversation itself is kinda stuff we’ve heard before, and while I like how it tied in thematically it just wasn’t in me to not criticize the fact that it’s coming from the current OC of the Day.
Anyway.
I came for the BatCat and I was happy for it even if it was basically only three issues and I had to deal with grown artists making Gotham GIrl’s skirt incredibly short while she was in weird positions for most of it.
So. That’s my take on that.
Now I can write 3 million fics about how this could be wonderful and that Helena Wayne gets to grow up with all her siblings and be loved by the world. byyyyeeeeeeee
Creator Owned CBLDF Defender Vol. 2 #2 Marc Adreyko, Gene Luen Yang
So this is mostly just an addition at the last minute both because it’s free and because it’s, well, an information brochure about uniting to subscribe or pledge money to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund for all those who have been encouraged into activism thanks to recent events and the collective consciousness surrounding events like last year’s Pulse nightclub shooting.
It’s a good idea and it’s pro-community messaging speaks to me. I’d like to spread awareness for people that these voices are out there and that if you’re interested in providing support you can check out this particular brochure on Comixology for free or google at your leisure.
Marvel’s Spider-Man/Deadpool Vol. 2: Side Pieces Scott Aukerman, Gerry Duggan, Penn Jillette, Nick Giovannetti, Paul Scheer, Joshua Corin, Reilly Brown, Scott Koblish, Todd Nauck, Tigh Walker
Tumblr media
Okay, so... I like Spider-Man/Deadpool’s first arc... but it’s pretty much exactly like Trinity over at DC and it’s spiritual predecessors Batman/Superman and Superman/Batman in that, outside of what’s honestly a pretty stellar initial premise, there is not a whole lot of plan behind where the comic wants to go for the future.
So you get a whole lot of different creative teams and no cohesive narrative or direction for the comic to go.
But I guess that really brings into question what makes ongoing comics work and whether or not th idea of “hilarious monthly team ups of Spider-Man and Deadpool without a point, and assumedly without continuity consequences” is enough to work.
And as someone who honestly really enjoys one-shot one-and-dones, that’s honestly a pass for me.
But at the same tim... I mean there’s a reason I have both Spider-Man/Deadpool and Trinity on trade wait status now.
The whole is not equivalent to the sum of its parts, but honestly it’s got some genuinely funny and worthwhile parts as it stands. And I appreciate that.
DC’s Superman (2016-present) #24 Patrick Gleason, Peter J. Tomasi, Doug Mahnke, Jaime Mendoza, Mick Gray, Joe Prado, Wil Quintana, John Kalisz
Tumblr media
You know, sometimes being a comic fan is kind of like reading the newspaper more than reading a narrative story.
For me that’s kinda what this issue felt more like, I was getting information on where all the characters had moved since last time, the motivations, some backstories. Slight progress and movement in the form of an update on what happened to Lois and getting to see her still kicking Clark’s ass in gear despite his concern for her injury, which I liked, but overall this issue mostly felt like filler for the final moment where we see Jon fall completely into the control of Manchester Black.
Who... is a big whooping plot hole I am stil waiting to be addressed. Clark remembers Manchester Black from the New Earth continuity still and the “What’s So Funny About Truth, Justice, and the American Way?” and knows about the Elite, but do they know about him? Or are they completely different from the Super Elite we knew? Are we going to get a Justice League Elite mention (which good god please spare me, though I’ll take Sister Superior).
This is one of those cases where I feel like my overly extensive knowledge of things in continuity actually puts me at a disadvantage to actually like... reading and taken things for granted.
I want things to make sense, or I want enjoyable Kent family shenanigans.
But this issue did have Krypto so, I automatically add a star to it. Sorry, I don’t make the rules.
IDW’s Transformers: Lost Light (2016-present) #6 James Roberts, Jack Lawrence, Joanna Lafuente
Tumblr media
Look, sometimes I think it’s important for critics, reviewers, readers, what have you, to bea ble to say that they’re confused and don’t know what emotion to feel or whether or not the comic accomplished exactly what it wanted to and I’m just. Like.
Yes that is my emotion at the moment.
A lot of stuff happened in this issue. Like lots of crazy, out there, amazing stuff was packed into a single issue and it’s like, there were panels where you’d blink and you’d miss important character development notes -- like Ratchet hugging their Rung once they got back. Like there’s so much good -- Rodimus had a lot of amazing moments throughout and I love the range of humor to anger to disappointment that he showed. Like his trust and faith in others is already pretty shattered at the moment and to feel Megatron’s apparent betrayal adding onto that is like a million times more stuff. I fear he’s nearing a very dangerous ledge, which is bad because this issue also tells us that Rodimus’ death wish and lowkey desire to put himself in dangerous positions to die heroically is still as prominent as ever.
Someone hug my trash fire of a son, please.
And then magical girlfriend romance bringing back her girlfriend as a baby and it’s kinda weird like is it still going to be the same Lug? Does Anode acknowledge that it’s weird? Is anyone going to point out that they could feasibly use protoform matter now to resurrect anyone whose spark remnants are available now? Including Skids and Ravage?
what is going on
Anyway.
There’s a lot packed into this issue which is why I am honestly kind of happy that next issue’s description is a “fallout” from this because holy shit, I need room to breathe and think through things.
Also. Dat smile when Megatron heard Optimus’ voice in the epilogue-ish finale. I like. Maybe had a fangirl moment. Just maybe.
Anyway. I’m shrug emoji right now until I can get my emotional state sorted out because wow there’s a lot at the moment. Like a lot. A lot a lot.
DC’s Wonder Woman FCBD 2017 Special Edition (2017-present) #1 Greg Rucka, Nicola Scott, Romulo Fajarado Jr.
Tumblr media
Like last week’s Wondy special, this is a reprint, but it’s a reprint of the first issue of “Year One” which still holds up as the far superior of the two starting Wonder Woman titles from Rucka last year and is amazingly well held up...
...save of course for the exact same criticisms as the last time I went over the issue which is Dead Bro Walking trope and a whole lot of Rucka Why???? that comes attached to the really bizarre treatment of race in the first arcs of the series. It’s just so bizarre.
But honestly, again, these moves are meant to attract the new, excited audience after the box office smash that has been the Wonder Woman movie -- an audience that has been largely female of all ages. And if there’s one free comic I’m glad will show up immediately on their google searches this Wednesday, I’m very glad it’s going to be the start of what has quickly become my favorite standard bearer of Wonder Woman’s origin story.
Something I appreciate even more after having finally read the entirety of Azzarrello’s Wondy run which. Eck. Wash my mouth out.
DC’s Wonder Woman: Steve Trevor (2017) #1 Tim Seeley, Christian Duce, Allen Passalaqua
Tumblr media
So this addition to my pull was kind of unexpected in that I had no idea that it was coming out this week and thought “why not” because I’m literally still so Wonderfully Pumped Up a the moment and as far as I can see, the more proceeds DC and WB can see attributed to Wonder Woman the better.
That being said, Tim Seeley really dug into his Grayson roots in this one because that’s about the only thing I really got from this issue is that Steve Trevor’s a badass secret agent with secrets and a deep seeded guilt thing. Which kinda felt like a harsher toned take on his Dick Grayson more than anything else. Which is fine.
Part of the problem here is that I did not read the New52 short term published book that was A.R.G.U.S. or whatever where Steve starred during the weird interim where Steve was not allowed around Diana and Lois wasn’t allowed around Clark but DC still wants to make money from fans anyway.
idk. And since those kinds of spy books are rarely my cup of tea, I don’t think this issue sold me on renigging on that instinct.
Still it was cute and Diana and Steve’s interactions, while minimal, are really the driving portion of his narrative which I think is always good.
But, just like the Annual, I’m left just sitting here going “why don’t we use this opportunity to show off the upcoming Wonder Woman creative team, DC????”
And I get no answer bc DC actually doesn’t care about some weirdo random blogger on the internet constantly screaming at them.
Viz’s Yona of the Dawn (2009-present) Vol. 6 Mizuho Kusanagi
Tumblr media
I have actually been very interested in Akatsuki no Yona since I saw its anime show up in my Crunchyroll feed, and as with most anime I can’t help but immediately try to find the manga instead because I am impatient and want Answers Now. As I understand it, the Viz official translations are far behind the current run of the manga (makes sense, as the manga series has been ongoing since 2009 in Japan), and is only catching up to where the anime left off so far, but that’s more than okay for me right now.
Because oh my gosh, it’s so amazing to read such a beautiful story about the growth, empowerment, and pure will of a female character as told by a female author and artist. I’m not the biggest fan of Shoujo as a style of art, but having Yona strike a balance between beautiful and cutesy visuals with what is ultimately a fairly action driven plot with intense moral posturing and constant detail put into the grayness of life’s choices makes Yona of the Dawn honestly unlike just about any Shoujo I’ve read before.
Yona is one of the most compelling heroines I’ve ever seen, and her intensity of spirit and her meaningful examination of her kingdom makes this fairy tale story really unlike anything else out there.
And while I’ve really enjoyed Yona to this point, I have to say it is an amazing relief to reach Volume 6 an finally get more female characters than just Yona. I like the reverse harem appeal of the cast as it has been so far, and I have affection for several of the boys, but man is it so much more meaningful to have a few more compelling female characters backing up Yona in the representation department.
Especially since some of Yona’s crew still feel... a little bland to me. It’s usually not a good sign in a massive cast when the traits that come immediately to mind for me are purely character design.
I’m excited for what’s to come and to see how our Princess fully realizes her potential as the Crimson Dragon.
Also I should note some skeevy parts of this. One I don’t mind but am sure other people might, there’s the fact that Yona’s current storyline is dealing with Yona taking down a ring of human traffickers and slavers, which brings up the question of autonomy both for Yona as a woman in this honestly pretty traditionally sexist kingdom but also for the Dragons themselves and how their “service” to Yona is framed as a question of their own will. But it’s still a story about human trafficking and that could bother a lot of people. Another thing in this volume, which has bothered me in the previous volumes but really came to a head this time around, is Hak’s... weirdly possessive outbursts toward Yona. I get that they are meant as... idk protective and romantic to some and that we’re supposed to be compelled by his struggle to not show his affection for Yona, but honestly I’m just kinda... naw hoss. Like Hak’s a fine character and I like his relationship and history with Yona most of the time, but like.. the weird pushing her against walls and... licking honey off of her wrists and just. idk. We’re lost in translation here or something bc I’m not a fan.
I’m also not a fan of Viz’s weird changes in the font randomly throughout the book? Like just stop. It’s bad when your translations look lazier than the fan translations I’ve seen floating around on tumblr.
I’ll be honest, as high quality as I consider almost all of these comics this week, I would say the good majority of them did not give me a fully emotional experience or really captivate me in a way that satisfied me from start to finish. And I’m sure in the follow up issues to come there’ll be a lot for me to question into why that might be for the majority of them, but that time is not now. So, as much as it may feel like cheating to pick a volumed book over single issues, I can’t help but say that Yona of the Dawn by far is my pick of the week. It delighted, it changed up its structure and storytelling, built out its world and has started spending more time on the titular characters where before it often felt like we were just taking for granted that there was a dragon gained every volume. And Yona herself is just one of the most satisfying characters to see grow into their own.
But that’s just my opinion, I’d love to hear what you all think. Agree? Disagree? Think I missed a great comic this week? Please let me know!

24 Experts Share How to Avoid Big Mistakes in Content Marketing
Blunders, overestimations, slipups, flubs, and missteps – though we hate to admit we make them, they often turn out to be our best teachers.
As the winning college basketball coach John Wooden once said, “If you’re not making mistakes, then you’re not doing anything. I’m positive that a doer makes mistakes.”
Regardless of their future value, these teachable moments can also be problematic and painful in the moment they occur. To minimize some of the friction you’ll experience from unnecessary slipups, we enlisted the help of some “doers” who are presenting at Content Marketing World. They share some of the mistakes they’ve encountered – and offer tips on how you can avoid them in your own content marketing programs.
Mistake: Trying to be everything
For seven years, we put out blog posts that showed how diverse Jordan Winery was as a business – posts about cooking, gardening, farming, floral design, travel, winemaking, construction, and news. This kept us from maintaining a loyal subscriber base. The same customer who wants to learn which is the best kitchen knife to use likely doesn’t care about how grapevines bloom or how floods impact vineyards. How to fix it: We divided our content into two blogs – one food and travel focused and one more winemaking focused. Lisa Mattson, director of marketing and communications, Jordan Vineyard & Winery
Mistake: Getting off on wrong foot
The biggest mistake I’ve ever made in content production is not listening to customers first – or not looking at suggestions and clues left by search engines that might have told me what people want. How to fix it: Don’t write content for any other purpose than helping people to solve a problem. Wil Reynolds, CEO, Seer Interactive
Don’t write #content for any other purpose than helping people to solve a problem, says @wilreynolds. #CMWorld Click To Tweet
Mistake: Failing to stop and think
I lived by the quantity of content on social media. I manage five brands and was posting six to eight times on Facebook, three to four times on Twitter, and once on Instagram for each, trying to keep my numbers up and it was burning me out. I never had time to really consider the kind of content I was publishing. How to fix it: I began to publish less, but took time to make sure the content I was creating and publishing was quality and would connect with my audience on a deeper level. My numbers soared even higher. Jason Schemmel, social media manager, Harper Collins Christian Publishing
HANDPICKED RELATED CONTENT: You Are Publishing Too Much (and Failing)
Mistake: Focusing on a self-satisfaction goal
Quality content is much harder than quantity. Quantity makes us feel as if we are accomplishing something: “Look at all that!” How to fix it: Do quality, which takes more time but it’s far more worth the effort. Stoney deGeyter, president, Pole Position Marketing
HANDPICKED RELATED CONTENT: How to Define and Create Quality Content: Tips From 35+ Experts
Mistake: Setting virality as a goal
Nobody can make anything go viral. It either happens or it doesn’t. I don’t create content for virality. How to fix it: Create content to be helpful. Chad Pollitt, vice president of audience, Native Advertising Institute
HANDPICKED RELATED CONTENT: Is Viral Content Making You Sick?
Mistake: Saying yes to every project
Brands often do content marketing on a budget that does not allow for true test and learns, for doing it the right way, yet then judge the results accordingly. How to fix it: Know when it simply isn’t worth doing if it isn’t going to be done well. Gordon Price Locke, chief marketing officer, Pace
Mistake: Brands don’t allow for true test & learn in #contentmarketing budgets, says @GPriceLocke. #CMWorld Click To Tweet
Mistake: Going rogue
Often, one or more people on the team may have separate KPIs (key performance indicators) in mind, and without a clear discussion, they can end up creating what they think is a great campaign but achieves the wrong objectives. How to fix it: Before starting, decide what you want to accomplish and design your content campaign and measurement around that objective to ensure you’re all working toward the same goal. Melanie Deziel, native advertising consultant, Mdeziel Media
Mistake: Going overboard
My mistake was oversharing and saturation of the same core audience. How to fix it: I now diversify who I send content to, and how often. Chuck Hester, vice president, social media, T&T Creative
Mistake: Thinking writers must be experts
Years ago, I told a professor that I didn’t feel qualified to write about a topic because I was unable to provide concrete answers to the problem. How to fix it: She told me that it wasn’t about knowing the answers, it’s more important to ask the right questions. Rebecca Lieb, author and adviser, Conglomotron
Mistake: Assuming audience will find the content
I’m not a content marketer; but I’ve worked with a team to market my book. My biggest mistake was assuming the virtue of my work would attract an audience. How to fix it: I have to work hard to make people aware of my book, Good Charts, but it’s worth it. Scott Berinato, senior editor, Harvard Business Review
Mistake: Serving everything at once
I love the big idea; but sharing the big idea and expecting others to immediately buy in is a fool’s errand. How to fix it: The key is to share your thought process first, then pitch the idea. Jay Acunzo, creator and host, Unthinkable
Mistake: Underestimating the power of the status quo
About 15 years ago, I decided traditional advertising had to die soon because it didn’t make any sense in a digital world. If I knew then what I know now, I would have understood how the status quo resists change. How to fix it: Create and provide supportive services to help clients slowly transition from siloed analog organizations to integrated digital ones. Kirk Cheyfitz, co-founder, Story Worldwide
Mistake: Listening only to customer research
“Voice of the customer” research creates commoditized content. Responding only to known or stated customer needs with offerings not dissimilar from your competition means the only distinction your content can claim is the logo of the company on it. How to fix it: Create an edge or uncertainty in your content to disrupt your buyer’s status quo bias and overcome the biggest barrier to success: your prospect’s aversion to change. Be original and fresh to create clear differentiation. Tim Riesterer, chief strategy and marketing officer, Corporate Visions
Create an edge in your #content to disrupt your buyer’s status quo bias, says @TRiesterer. #CMWorld Click To Tweet
Mistake: Believing the experts know all about their markets
A common theme in the mistakes I’ve made in content marketing is this: I did not understand the market well enough. I relied too much on the input I got from the companies until I realized that they rarely know what’s going on in the market. They may look at data or dashboards, but they rarely take the time to talk to their clients. You won’t find the right answers just looking at what you already do and know. How to fix it: I now require that I get to talk to at least two clients whenever I begin a new project. If that’s not possible, I conduct survey research or similar. It always brings new points to the table. Joakim Ditlev, content marketing specialist, Content Marketing DK
Mistake: Failing to set boundaries
We’ve all had the projects with never-ending scope creep. How to fix it: I use a comprehensive scope of work or project brief, as appropriate, to make sure all those involved in a project agree on deliverables and timelines, what success looks like, and what constitutes project completion. Erika Heald, consultant, Erika Heald Marketing Consulting
Mistake: Scope creep in #content projects. Fix: Create detailed project brief at start. @SFErika. #CMWorld Click To Tweet
Mistake: Talking in varied tongues
Our biggest challenges in internal discussions come from language confusion. How to fix it: Before a project, we use language boards where we compare SEO research on the terms customers use to the terms subject matter experts or stakeholders use. Ahava Leibtag, principal, AHA Media Group
HANDPICKED RELATED CONTENT: A Nutshell Guide to Proper Keyword Research
Mistake: Forgetting the audience
We’ve all made the mistake of writing what we want to read (or what we think we’d want to read) rather than asking our audiences what they want or otherwise using data to drive content strategy. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed writing pieces that bombed in terms of ROI and groaned through others that performed exceedingly well. How to fix it: The lesson is to write for your audience, not for yourself. Amanda Changuris, associate director of corporate communications, BNY Mellon
Mistake: Posting without proofing
Hitting “publish” and sending an email that still says, “text here, text coming” isn’t exactly helpful to your 1 million-plus audience list. How to fix it: Always triple-check which buttons you’re clicking on when you’re editing an email newsletter, scheduling a blog post, and creating a social media post. Zontee Hou, strategist, Convince & Convert
Mistake: Buying into the hype
Marketing technology is overrated. But changes in tactics have made a huge difference. How to fix it: I’ve learned I can often get better results updating an older article than by writing a new one. I wished I’d discovered that years ago. Andy Crestodina, principal and strategic director, Orbit Media

Mistake: Limiting content to the written word
We focused on educating users on various aspects of visual content creation by writing tons of blog posts. Though there was good traction initially, things never really picked up. How to fix it: We got interesting feedback from a teacher whose students were more hooked to viewing animated videos instead of reading their textbooks. We opted to see if this preference worked with adults and started using more visual content. We created a lot of video templates and GIFs to directly help our users. We witnessed 10 times more traffic thanks to this strategy. You need to experiment a lot and innovate every year. Srinivasa Raghavan, CEO and founder, Animaker

Mistake: Thinking good writers always are good content marketers
One of my most difficult lessons has been that good writers don’t automatically make good content marketers. The ability to convince and cajole an audience to take a brand-specific action while still delivering value on a consistent basis is hard, and it takes more than the ability to craft a pretty sentence to get it done. How to fix it: I interview content marketing candidates differently, looking for their insight into the audience, conversion optimization, and marketing objectives more broadly instead of focusing heavily on their writing sample. Andrea Fryrear, president and lead trainer, AgileSherpas
Mistake: Letting assumptions drive decisions
When I first started out at Monster, I assumed a big portion of what we’d do for content would be labor market news. But I quickly realized from looking at our analytics that our audience didn’t care about macro trends, they wanted information to help them specifically with their job search. How to fix it: While we still do some news, it’s always driven by the takeaway for the article – is this something our reader can act on and, more importantly, wants to act on? Margaret Magnarelli, managing director of content and senior director of marketing, Monster
Mistake: Waiting for perfection
When we first developed a content marketing strategy we didn’t have a perfect strategy. We knew we wanted to engage prospective customers and build our audience. How to fix it: We recognized starting now is better than waiting and starting perfect. In the first year, our primary success metric was the share-ability of our content. In the second year, we focused on increasing the quality of our content and optimizing distribution strategies. It wasn’t until the third year that we could show success in generating leads and support for social selling. Content marketing was an evolutionary process for us. Scott Lum, content marketing manager, Microsoft

Mistake: Underestimating the power of email
I didn’t build my email subscribers list early enough or focus on segmentation. How to fix it: I now focus on email subscribers as there is nothing more valuable in the business. I also have segmented that list based on the challenges and needs of my audience – so I can tailor my communication to fit those audiences. It makes it much easier to get super specific with your content. Donna Moritz, digital content strategist and founder, Socially Sorted

Conclusion
If you’re afraid to make mistakes in your content marketing, the best advice from these experts comes down to a single step: Don’t be.
As Ben H. Rome, marketing manager of American Industrial Hygiene Association, says, “Never, ever be afraid to take a risk. Innovation and resonance often comes from that risk. If you ask the audience to take that leap with you, the better connection you’re going to make and the stronger your message and your brand will become.”
