when did you first decide to lose weight.

i even remember the day lol, november 30th, 2018.

i’m not diagnosed with one, but i don’t think i have an ed, maybe like disordered eating?? it’s not extreme enough to be an ed, but maybe?

what food is your weakness:

hm, idk if i can seperate one but probably like homemade pies/cakes (ironically enough, i love baking and bake every week, but i mainly binge on my mom’s baking), also this one certain pasta dish.

last time you ate fast food:

it’s actually been a while, if you count fries, then maybe september? but if you don’t count those, then it’s like june or july, when we got pizza with my friends.

favourite diet.

can’t stick to 99% of them for longer than 3 days but i will be attempting the skinny girl diet, because it doesn’t have a set limit, you can eat as much fruit/veg as you want. so hoping i will be able to stick to it and see results.

i’m not completely sure, i just know i’m a 38 in european pant sizing, that’s a 6 in american sizing.

my lw was 62kgs, which was after i was insanely sick for 3 days, to a point where i wasn’t getting out of bed and consumed like 1k calories in the 3 days, it was also summer, so i was sweating a lot, and i had a fever which burns extra cals. i naturally gained bc it was all water weight, but i’m not far off my lw rn, i’m at like 63-64 right now, it’s embarassing i haven’t broken out of the 63-65 loop since i lost it in 2020 summer.

media’s role in your want to lose weight.

i think most of it stemmed from generally being in a bad place mentally and later, my mom’s comments. so if it did play a role, it wasn’t a significant one.

opinion on terms pro ana/mia.

i’m against them both, because why would you be pro for those things? i understand being pro for urself, but not others.

purging.

i have never purged, and hope to not start. when i was a kid i read a book about a girl who had bulimia and it scared me to my core (as it probably would for most 9 year olds, yes, the book was not suitable for my age) and i also made a promise to myself in 2019 to never purge, no matter how tempting it would be. mainly bc it doesn’t work and causes so many problems.

the perfect 35 25 25 meassurments, feeling small in everything, not having to worry about how you stand in photos.

im pretty new here and i scrolled through your fic tag a lot so thats why this ask is about something so old, but isn’t a paring between a 22 and 30 y/o weird?(genuinely asking) idk i noticed you (used to?) like tw!ce / hawk s and idk i’m confused. 8 yrs seems like a big difference when 22 seems like Barely an adult and 30 is someone who’s had a bunch of growth/experience and development

I’m still a huge jinkei fan, also the creator of the server for it. I started shipping them in January.

Now, I think this is a valid question! At Hawks’s age (23) I was still kind shy about anyone north of 30 approaching me, less so now at 26 (to a point. I’ve always defined my parameters as 4 years back at most, six years up at most). I also turned down offers to sleep with people 18-19 at that age because it felt weird and I still see people that age as kids. But! My discomfort had a lot to do with power dynamics which is what we’re talking about when discussing legal age gaps. Jin and Hawks are like 7.5 years apart, which as you get further into your twenties gets less bad as a gap upwards, but I always consider the other dynamics at play. Which is Hawks is pretty much a civil servant authorized in using force to detain people, and a famous celebrity. Jin is an impoverished mentally ill man resorting to criminality because the Japanese law system is awful to those who commit even accidental crimes, and so is the Japanese workforce to people who leave their employment and have a record.

So, uh, what I’m saying is, yeah, jinkei is problematic. The age gap is the least problematic thing about it? There’s a lot to be said for the problematic persistence and like idolization of massive age gaps especially in queer relationships spaces and culture that I do very much like to talk about, but so much of the other power things that come with age gaps are null and void here. Often the issue is that there’s a huge material difference between the older person and younger person. The older person is more established, more materially powerful and stable, and the younger person is often more attracted to those aspects? It’s not down solely to experience and maturity because those don’t...really work for everyone. None of that material power imbalance exists in jinkei because Hawks has far more power over Jin. People who really hate the pairing have told me time and time again it’s actually fairly abusive in dynamic due to Hawks’s manipulation (and subsequent murder) of a man with Jin’s level of mental illness. Which is an incredibly valid criticism that I agree is fairly valid even if I make sure to condemn Hawks’s manipulation of Jin when shipping/writing jinkei. In my opinion, the least attractive thing about the pairing is Hawks being able to do that and get away with it and I feel incredibly grossed out by anyone who would like the pairing for that reason. It’s just in the back of my mind that the pairing isn’t incredibly healthy as whole. So, uh, I hope this answers your question? It’s basically ‘jinkei is super problematic’ but not because of the age gap. I genuinely wish that was the only issue.

1. what is the colour of your hairbrush? light amber wood color

2. a food you never eat? beets, tho i keep trying

3. are you typically too warm or too cold? neither, usually my body regulates temp well. but being sick that’s a little different and i never know if i’ll be shivering or having a hot flash

4. what were you doing 45 minutes ago? going back and forth between instagram and tumblr

5. what is your favourite candy bar? uhh maybe a snickers or a 100 grand bar

6. have you ever been to a professional sports event? i went to the Oakland A’s gay day a few years ago with co-workers. It was really fun!! but i could never attend a serious sports event to cheer for a winning team.

7. what is the last thing you said out loud? "come on, ding dong, you can do it” --said to my dog who was hesitating jumping down off the chair where she’d sat while i washed my dishes

YES, and i miss it!! i used to camp regularly and really love my pseudo-glamping life: cooler full of good food, a double high air mattress, and a tent that allows you to stand up in the center (to change clothes). i haven’t gone since coming to california, which is a total bummer.

17. do you take vitamins? yes, vit. D and fish oil daily, ideally i would have a good multi, PS, and maybe a couple other things, but i can’t afford them all right now. my minimum is a D though, since yr body really does NOT get it from sun exposure. i know it sounds silly but vitamins are basically the concrete you pour in a hole to stabilize a beam (yr food). they’re very good and they help a lot!

18. do you go to church every sunday? NO, thank goodness! i even stopped having to go with my family when i visit them.

19. do you have a tan? no, and i rarely do. SPF all the way.

34. favourite day of the week? Thursdays. like for as long as i can remember. it was hamburger day when i was a kid, and now it’s thursday hersday. and of course it was must see tv night all thru my adolescence.

42. describe your kitchen plates? the classic 70s/80s unbreakable plates, some with the gold flowers around the rim and some with the tiny olive green ones. truly i think i have only seen a plate like this break once in my entire life. i bought these at a store in nyc (i definitely overpaid BUT it was still like $20 for 6 or 8 plates that will never break)

43. do you have a favourite alcoholic beverage? a properly made sidecar is HEAVEN, ok? so good!! but you gotta use good brandy and fresh lemons and i would get one if i could go back to my fave nyc bar and have pietro (a very good bartender) make me one. but really the thing that i will always want and have difficulty turning down is champagne/sparkling wine in the style of champagne.

44. do you play cards? yes! i used to play all the time with my ex. don’t so much any more but i still love it when i get to!

45. what colour is your car? dark orange

46. can you change a tire? YES!! @ha-larry-us when the quarantine is done I will show you!! it really isn’t too hard unless your bolts are on super tight.

47. what is your favourite state/province? California, i think. though part of me wants to name a southern state because I was born there and the mountains feel like home.

48. favourite job you’ve ever had? the one i currently have but am physically unable to work at right now-- cheesemonger at a worker owned grocery store

49. how did you get your biggest scar? i was borrowing stage makeup from a friend in another dorm before our choir performance. the door was usually propped open, and so when i left the building i sorta jogged down the steps and pushed really hard on the door with my momentum. it was NOT propped open, and I put my right arm through the glass (and knocked out two more panes with my knee and foot). the RA was training to be an EMT and helped me get cleaned up. I didn’t get stitches, but the scar is very long (maybe 3 inches). the best part of the story is that i went to make sure the choir director knew i wasn’t performing but would sit in the audience, and her response was “we don’t have time to give you sympathy.” she was having a rough year but DAMN that was an ice cold response to an injured 18 year old.

I am making another list for all the symptoms I have observed and some instances. This is for when the quarantine ends and i can get a diagnosis.

1. Stopped talking for 6 months after I had already started talking.

>>I was a year old I believe.

2. Poor motor control until now. Exercise doesn’t help. Practice masks it a bit but if I am not prepared mentally it all goes away.

>>Elementary to college

3. Echolalia as my means of communication.

>>That one time my classmate congratulated my friend on having better pay for nurses with the joke “Tumaas na sweldo niyo :D” and....~10 seconds later I repeated the exact same thing when I spoke to my friend.

>>Saying milk the entire day when I was 2/3 years old. Saying “kun kun” the entire day.

>>comfort words

>>saying decapitated the entire day

4. Low verbal days when I just want to stop talking. (I’m learning sign language so I don’t have to talk on days like these.)

>>College, online classes

>>pain after speaking a certain number of words/certain sensory overload/certain social interactions

5. Bad grip control

>>Drop stuff until now. Can’t play basketball. Can’t hold bowls.

6. Can’t see the expression of person, doesn’t know how to respond at all.

>> online classes, using messenger or text

7. I do rely on some facial expressions to determine what someone is feeling, but those expressions have to be extreme.

8. Can’t do interviews. It’s like talking to Wikipedia. I can’t talk to anyone comfortably without echolalia.

>>Nursing interview. Trial immersion in the hospital where I made the client so uncomfortable.

9. No hugs unless well planned or expected

10. Eye contact? I’ll do it for 3-5 seconds or for forever. Take it or leave it.

>>Even in online classes.

11. Isolating conversation. These conversations make me want to just stop talking forever.

12. Happy hand flapping and rocking in math class!

>>College only

13. Texture and taste sensitivities.

>>Mushrooms except for the white, stalked ones. Anything mixed with mushrooms also out.

>>Tofu in hot food.

>>Pork blood, livers, smooth muscled organs

14. Unnecessary harm towards animals.

15. Talking to trees and cats because i had few human friends.

16. Frustration when schedule is disrupted.

17. Ate peanut butter sandwiches and baby milk for 6 years for lunch everyday.

18. Increased breakdowns with more complex social interactions. Increased also with extreme facial expressions.

>>SHS and college

19. Not understanding an entire conversation.

20. No kissing the cheeks until now. If someone does this I wipe it off after a maximum of a minute.

21. Love lists. Lists are orderly.

22. I don’t hear compliments or criticism until I remember ~two days later or until someone repeats it.

23. If I don’t know how your brain thinks, I cannot understand most of the things you say or do. At all.

24. I want friends but I can’t make them or carry their game.

25. Daydreaming to an extreme.

>>I used to think I was the only human in a world full of robots and the robots were all controlled by one person. Sometimes I was the only robot in the world full of humans and I had to hide that or else they’d kill me. Another where I felt like the only person in a fishbowl and other fishes were looking at me. Either that or feeling like the media rep of a sociopath because I couldn’t show how I felt well (Latest is gr 10/11, earliest at 3 yrs old)

26. Ok I’ve had extreme attachments to any autistic or autistic coded characters.

27. Mirroring whatever my conversation partner is doing.

28. Used to bully my current best friend, didn’t know why though except that everyone was doing it. Still horrible.

29. Don’t understand social conventions but I know if I don’t mirror someone I trust i will start lying on the floor or something similar.

30. Lining up my toys all the time.

31. If I’m really tired or happy I will not mask. I will stop talking and only use my echolalia to communicate or take everything literally.

32. I always abide by the reasoning of predetermined rules and/or theorems. If something is not in that “manual” I can’t cope or act accordingly.

33. Modesty aside, I’m the only one who remotely understands my autistic cousin. He’s just a kid but at least he makes sense. Also, he likes looking at fans and I think I like that too.

34. I will stop talking/ moving my lower body if overstimulated.

35. I had staggered eating in 2nd grade. I couldn’t keep anything down so I grew so thin. I think it’s because we changed the brand of bread from Gardenia to Pullman and something about the texture and name threw me off. Imagine eating a pulled man. Disgusting. I still cannot eat Pullman bread until now.

36. My writing is only readable because I work so hard on it. In reality it looks like snakes.

yes, sometimes! i’ve suppressed a lot of it over time but i still do some subtly.

if so, what are yr favourite stims?

touching/tapping the tips of my fingers together, stroking soft patches of skin(esp backs of my hands, wrists, or parts of my thighs, hips, ankles), cracking knuckles, stretching fingers/feet/arms/legs rly far, rapid blinking(though i also have a tic involving blinking which is similar, but involuntary), bubble wrap,flicking light switches/door lock mechanisms, bouncing on toes, toewalking, chewing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(esp pens/pen caps and similar textures), biting, mouthing/lipping things, clacking my teeth lightly, whistling, leg jiggle sometimes, jumping, skipping, hopping, and a few other rly specific things (like involving swimming, or being on something and hanging so im upside down and stuff)

BPD, (various types of)depression, DPD/social anxiety(when i’m alone)/agoraphobia, panic disorder NOS, mood disorder NOS, DID, ADD/ADHD-PI, ASD, gender dysphoria at one point, conduct disorder or whatever it was called. IED. all i can think of. all diagnosed professionally over the years, though ASD is not on any official records because i asked it to be left off to avoid that specific abuse/stigma.

13. is the community youve found with other mentally ill ppl helpful?

mostly no. but in some ways, yes. i appreciate having more access to info, hearing relatable stories, common symptoms/experiences that help me understand things better, etc. close friends with illnesses/disorders are nice, but mostly i know them for other reasons outside of diagnoses.

absolutely

im not sure. i just...cope? somehow? not always effectively, but idk.

i hate group therapy. in individual therapy, i like having my husband sit in on the sessions for support. therapist NEEDS to prompt me and ask active and specific questions. setting clear goals with clear steps helps. a lot of more “creative” methods actually are super unhelpful for me.

17. do "find your happy place" exercises help you or no?

sort of? i don’t try them much. usually they make me sadder that im not there.

it’s not the same. yeah maybe “everyone has back pain”, but my pain and your pain are different; they happen for different reasons and they affect us in different ways. if everyone is in pain we should do something to make life easier for everyone, not dismiss people who are suffering.

Barbara Lake - Life Timeline Notes

Here’s what I got for Barbara’s age and her timeline.

Under a cut cause it gets really, like really long.

A note I want to add after writing this all out is that I don’t have a definite, exact age pinpointed for Barbara, just a lot of theories and possibilities based on what we know and what I wanted to write in my stories (I originally did all this specifically in preparation for writing my fanfic Shadow of Change, which is a Barbara backstory). This post isn’t necessarily meant to prove anything, just give what my thoughts and considerations have been.

Barbara’s Age: The Math

My original guesstimate that I use throughout my musings is that Barbara’s somewhere in her late 30s to early 40s.

-50s seem too old, given lack of gray hair (her hair is very clearly solidly red-brown). On the one hand, I want to say lack of gray is due to 3D model/animation design. Maybe it was easier for them to just not add in that much detailing? But then we have Strickler who does have graying/white hair and more defined facial (age) lines, so they clearly can do that much detailing on the character models, but didn’t for Barbara. My interpretation of this was that they didn’t want her to appear in that age range.

-Early to mid-thirties (30-35) seems too young. Given we have confirmation from the show that Jim is 16, that means Barbara had him at her current age - 16 years. So, say Barbara were currently 35, that would mean that she gave birth to Jim at 19 (35 -16). That, and any age younger and we’re in teen pregnancy area.

Jim as Teen Pregnancy Possibility

(I don’t personally like this idea, but this post is meant to cover every potential scenario so that’s why it’s included)

Jim as a teen pregnancy is not completely outside the realm of possibility in theory, but I feel like it would create more hurdles to jump over than what we see in the show, especially financially.

Barbara is a doctor (meaning she’s been through undergrad, med school, and residency). To get to this point, she’d have to pay off student loan debts, deal with the costs of a baby/young child, and be able to afford a house.

I’m not saying she can’t find a way to make all that work out if she started as a 19 year old (I mean she’s Barbara, she probably could tbh), but I feel like it would be extremely hard. Particularly if she doesn’t come from a super well-off background and if James Senior left the picture relatively early on.

She’d either have to find a way to completely support herself and her kid quickly or get help from people like her parents (who are not in the picture as of the show, so who knows about them) while simultaneously doing everything it takes to become a doctor.

Just having the time for both kid and medical career would be difficult at best too.

I feel like we’d see more signs that the Lakes are still paying off her student debts and/or the house too if she started off younger/at a place of more instability. For instance, one of Jim’s worries about his mom could have been he’s concerned about Barbara trying to support them/straining herself to make enough money. But we don’t see that.

More Numbers

According to the research I did back when I wrote Shadow, in general:

College (undergrad) Graduation: 22 yrs old

Medical School Graduation: 26 yrs old

Residency: 29-30 yrs old

which brings us to this picture:

which shows that Jim was at least a kid at a time when Barbara graduated.

I’ve seen numerous theories on how old Jim is in the picture that range from 5-6 years old to 11-12 years old. Personally, I stuck to the younger range.

Say this picture shows Barbara’s undergrad graduation. That would likely put her at 22yrs of age in it, which would mean she was 17 when she has Jim if he’s 6 (22-5) and 10/11 if he’s 11 or 12 (22-12), which would mean that one’s literally impossible.

Based on Barbara’s appearance in the picture (she doesn’t strike me as early 20s here), I’d say it’s likelier that it’s of her med school graduation, meaning she’d be around 26 and not 22.

In that case:

26 - 5 = 21

26 - 11 = 15

I like the numbers for a younger Jim in the picture way, way better so that’s my headcanon and I’m sticking to it.

Then, if Barbara had Jim when she was 21 that would mean her current/2016 age is 37 (21 + 16), which I feel is within the realm of possibility.

**However, these numbers can be fudged a little.

(if one happens to be a 22 year old who wants to write a story but is kinda uncomfortable with the idea of having a dfab protagonist who gets pregnant at their own age or younger. Am I saying I purposefully messed with the numbers of when various life events happened for Barbara for my own comfort? yes, yes I am).

So, one could decide:

maybe Barbara graduated college late (at 23-24). It’s possible. I had a friend who graduated at 24 and I myself am graduating a semester late (so I’ll be 23 by then).

That would mean:

College (undergrad) Graduation: 24 yrs old

Medical School Graduation: 28 yrs old

Residency: 31-32 yrs old

If Jim is 5 at the Med School Graduation while Barbara is 28, that would mean she’d be 23 when he’s born and currently (in 2016) 39.

Personally, I wiggled these numbers around again later when I wrote GhostHunters!. I wanted that story to take place in 1985, about a year after Ghostbusters was originally released in theaters (it’s plot-related) and I wanted Barbara to be a kid at an age where it would be realistic if she got massively obsessed with the Ghostbusters (also plot-related) so I decided she’d be 10, which would mean she’d be born in 1975.

so:

1975: birth, 0 years

1985: 10 years

2000: 25 years old (Jim is born)

2016: 41 years old

Early/Mid 20s Barbara Becomes A Mother Possibility

I feel like if Barbara were in this age range when she had Jim, it would be less likely for her and James to have been married beforehand. If that’s so, I lean in the direction of him being an unplanned pregnancy.

Barbara and James could have met at college, become boyfriend/girlfriend, then start to be sexually active, which eventually leads to an accidental pregnancy (Jim). They decide to raise the kid together, potentially marry, and settle down in Arcadia.

*In Shadow, I have Jim happening simultaneously to Barbara’s med schools applications. She and James conceive Jim during that process and her decision to go to Arcadia’s Medical School is rushed by the fact they want to have a home before the baby arrives (I didn’t actually manage to work that into the story, but it’s in my notes).

Another Possibility: Late 20s Barbara Becomes A Mother

For the sake of my curiosity, I also decided do calculations for what if Barbara were currently 45, the oldest I’d guesstimate for her based on her physical appearance.

That would mean she had Jim when she was 29 (45-16). Then, going off the med school graduation pic:

College (undergrad) graduation: 30 yrs old

Med School Graduation: 34 (29 + 5) yrs old

Residency: 37/38 yrs old

This would then beg the question of what was Barbara doing between the ages of 18, when she would leave high school, and 26, when she entered undergrad, which could make for an interesting backstory narrative to fill in.

This also works better for her marriage to James and their house + kid being a planned thing, I think. Like they’d have more time to be together as adults before making those life choices.

An interesting possibility could be that James was meant to stay at home more to take care of Jim so Barbara could pursue college/med school. This would lead into a situation where James and Jim were closer since they spent more time together (and, subsequently, Barbara would be the more distant parent since she isn’t there as often). Then, them being close would have caused Jim extra hurt when James walked out.

Though, at one point in the show I think it states that Jim used to tell Barbara everything so those two have likely always been close.

Fanfiction Writer Asks

Most of the writer ask posts I come across are only like ten or so questions long so I thought I’d try to make a longer one because we like talking about our writing! Feel free to reblog!

1) How old were you when you first starting writing fanfiction? 12 or so

2) What fandoms do you write for and do you have a particular favourite if you write for more than one? Marvel,DC,Riverdale,WWE,Harry Potter,Anything that sparks My creativity really. Favorite so far would be Marvel.

3) Do you prefer writing OC’s or reader inserts? Explain your answer. OC’s,they’re just easier and I can give My Character more personality then Y/N.

4) What is your favourite genre to write for? Romance,Drama and Fantasy.

5) If you had to choose a favourite out of all of your multi chaptered stories, which would it be and why? Wells of Hearts,My FanFic of The Flash’s Harrison Wells.

6) If you had to delete one of your stories and never speak of it again, which would it be and why? Prbly My Teen Wolf-Peter Hale one,since it went no where and I don’t plan on finishing it.

7) When is your preferred time to write? Any time I have free lol

8) Where do you take your inspiration from? My Muse att,Movies,Shows,FanVids or other Fics,Music.

9) In your xxx fic, what’s your favorite scene that you wrote?

In My Most recent Harry Potter one,A Perfect Distraction,Probably the end when Severus shows up and asks to join them. Everyone else likes The Comment Lucius makes in the ballroom about Draco and Harry though ;P

10) In your xxx fic, why did you decide to end it like that? Did you have an alternative ending in mind? For A perfect Distraction I had The end clear in my head before anything else,for a change and just thought that added a little humor to the Smut and gave a reason to add Snape in.

11) Have you ever amended a story due to criticisms you’ve received after posting it? Nope.

12) Who is your favourite character to write for? Why? I’m pretty sure Loki will be,So far HR Wells because his Character is so fun and light.

13) Who is your least favourite character to write for? Why? I don’t really have one.

14) How did you come up with the title for the xxx? - You can tell about multiple stories. A Perfect Distraction is a Comment made by Lucius to Rihannon in the story so that’s how I came up with the title for the one shot. The Title for The main story is Called The Snakes and The Raven. Pretty self explanatory really.

Mischief on Wings is My soon to be Loki x Amara story and I came up with that name as sort of a tongue in cheek way of describing both characters as Loki is The God of Mischief and Amara is a Valkyrie.

15) If you write OC’s, how do you decide on their names? They just kind of come to me or through a name generator lol

16) How did you come up with the idea for xxx? For The Snakes and The Raven,I had just finished The Movies and developed both a Crush on Lucius Malfoy and Severus Snape,I decided to write Fanfiction about them and Rihannon came to mind as a Ravenclaw who was in love with Them both in school,Luci and Snape where Good Friends growing up and both fell for her and they decided to be in a Poly relationship together (in My Fic both Malfoy and Snape are Bi). I made Rihannon there age instead of a Student because I felt the Teacher/Student dynamic had already been over done.

18) Do you have any abandoned WIP’s? What made you abandon them? Teen Wolf- The Alpha. My PTSD and The fact that most of The Peter videos I had watched on youtube had been deleted...

19) Are there any stories that you’ve written that you’d really love to do a sequel to? I’m not finished with them yet lol

20) Are there any stories that you wished you’d ended differently? No.

21) Tell me about another writer(s) who you admire? What is it about them that you admire? I’m not sure. I do really like Fangirl Hells writing’s.

22) Do you have a story that you look back on and cringe when you reread it? No but I do feel bad that at 13 yrs old writing WWE Fics,I made The Rock abusive :/

23) Do you prefer listening to music when you’re writing or do you need silence? Music definitely.

24) How do you feel about writing smutty scenes? LOVE IT

25) Have you ever cried whilst writing a story? No,just while thinking about it.

26) Which part of your xxx fic was the hardest to write? A Perfect Distraction-The initial Smut scene took so long to write because I was either not in the mood or had no idea how to approach it. Turns out I just needed to make Lucius Romantic :)

27) Do you make a general outline for your stories or do you just go with the flow? Both.

28) What is something you wished you’d known before you started posting fanfiction? How well received it actually is!

29) Do you have a story that you feel doesn’t get as much love as you’d like? Um yeah My Harry Potter one and Wells of Hearts!

30) In contrast to 29 is there a story which gets lots of love which you kinda eye roll at? lol um My Shane Mcmahon one’s as there so Short especially ‘It’s Been Awhile’

About a year ago at this time, I was involved in a car accident where I was turning left onto a 2lane road (stop signs, MY turn) and this girl was turning right onto the same road. Hi I live in CA i just bought a new 2012 hyundai and went to get insurance through Freeway Insurance and I signed up for a 12 month premium with Farmers they did not tell me anything about a broker fee until after i signed all the paperwork.
