If you didn’t know, I’m working on a full-fledge Star Trek Prodigy comic book. It’ll feature a few short stories within, told in comic format. This gal is one of the characters from an upcoming storyline.

Her name is Jolene (Goes by Jo!) and she’s a punk musician currently traveling with her family. She likes baking, loud music, and punching section 31 agents in their grok-nards.

I had a lot of fun with her design, and I think everyone’s going to like the stories. The first two drafts and blocking are complete, so while it might take me a bit to get the finished product done (College is my first priority tbh) I think everyone is going to love the fun stuff I have in store, including a Wesley Crusher centered story in another comic.

For those who really aren’t into comics, I’ll be writing these stories out in fic format at a later point.

Niche wishlist for RWBY vol10:

- Yang & da boys team WHALE pt.2 (Yang, Oscar, Ren, & Jaune)

- Nora with ombré pink dyed hair (homage to Ruby when Nora thought they all perished badly)

- Ruby’s Vacuo outfit going in the opposite direction of Summer Rose’s aesthetics

- Emerald and Oscar playing pranks on people (just them having the funniest/most tender dynamic constantly contrasted by cinder & mercury angst; I want trickster Oscar content don’t boo me I’m silly)

- Jaune designing and building HIS First (1st) weapon and laying Crocea Mors to rest

- Ren flinching at some point at the strength/potency of another character’s emotions

#I’m designing another character at this point #I might scrap it. I’m not sure. ugh. it’s a frustrating process.#ANYWAY #Tammy looked so different before #and honestly!!! fry was such a miracle because their design was straight from my head with no changes #and they turned out great in my opinion #love Fry they’re my sweet burger beast #HOWEVER. Tammy was frustrating #a lot of thought and ideas and movie watching went into her design #lots of different skin color ideas!! I was going to make her blue. then I made her grey. white. and for some god forsaken reason I #considered pink #which that rocks when it works but. it doesn’t work for them.#I was very conflicted with her color palette. there are MANYYY concept drawings that I could show possibly? not sure. maybe.#she was white black and red at one point and then I thought that doesn’t feel at all like ‘zombie’#so I changed it again.#the two consistent themes I really wanted in her character #is that she is constantly tired and that she has a punkish or ratty/messy look #(and. maybe some Inspo pertaining to Garth from Wayne’s World)#not sure if that shows. more so just the hairstyle #BUT ANYWAY #with her skin I decided to go for a more patchy and infected look #because.. they’re a zombie #and I need patchy and infected skin zombie representation!!!#(be the change you want I suppose)#I was also hung up on if her palatte was too similar to Lord Dominator’s (blacks greens reds) but I think it works out here #slapped on a Rated R design because horror movies are typically R Rated and yup :) Tammy #I like her!! she!! was!! frustrating!! to!! make!! but hey!! not as angering as this current character I’m trying to figure out #and CERTAINLY not as easy and lucky as Fry #(ugh fry darling thank you for being so easy..)#my art

#my art #artists on tumblr #the legend of korra #lok malina #still feel like that’s too vague of a tag but I can’t come up with anything better for now #and yeah. she has completely stolen by heart and I don’t know how to feel about that #don’t think I ever was this attracted to my own art before #to be fair the design isn’t mine. it’s very heavily based on something nina drew back in 2021 #because I did not have the energy or creativity to come up with my own thing #but the art is all mine and I genuinely adore it. super proud of myself which is a rare occurrence #anyways. kat and I spent three days digging this niche lower and lower and now have a he #*hell of a lot of lore about this basically nonexistent character #for lore about a lady from the North Pole a lot of it is rather hot… to the point my cheeks are burning non stop #I would say I’d let her do anything she wants to me but in my very specific aroace-adjacent case it’s more like #I’d let her tell me to do anything she wants to her #if that makes any sense and I have not completely lost my goddamn mind yet #okay. enough yapping. back to the art itself #lazy background because I suck at those and am not currently attempting to learn them. I’ll probably do that over the summer #about time anyway. my characters have been placed against an off-white background for far. far too long #this is the first piece in just over a year that isn’t tagged with sotrl. which is kinda weird tbh #I’ve been drawing my OCs almost exclusively for nearly 5 years so it is genuinely surprise I’m branching out #*surprising #less branching out and more diving from one hole into another but y’know #anyway. in my personal and very correct opinion she turned out absolutely gorgeous #her servants are way too lucky and unalaq is way too much of an idiot. no offence to vaatu but he could never beat out this #and I also have Kat’s personal and very correct opinion to back up my own. two against the void. once again we’re winning #I wanna draw her a lot more bc she has completely possessed my brain. honestly just because of the drama lavendertowne’s going through with the hazbin hotel fandom, I’m honestly contemplating making my own hazbin hotel redesigns

#talk away ⌞🍵🍋 ⌝#I won’t sugarcoat this:#lavendertowne’s redesigns were…#pretty bad #like even on their own as their own designs #they weren’t that good #but I don’t think that warrants any harassment lavendertowne may have faced #she messed and has acknowledged that she messed up and is trying another attempt #which kudos to her #but also #I really do think the hazbin hotel fandom needs to seriously chill about people who are more critical about the show and vivziepop as #a whole #like lavendertowne wasn’t trying to “fix” the designs #she was making redesigns of the characters taking into account the criticisms people had about the designs #and tbf as much as I really do like some of the designs #I’m not gonna lie some of the criticisms towards the design are pretty fair #some character designs are pretty busy which must’ve been hell for the animators to animate “glances at husk*#the silhouettes are very similar with only a few exceptions (nifty)#and to bring up my own point #I’m really not a huge fan of how most of the male characters are all wearing suits and/or bow ties #this isn’t anything super big #I just wish the male characters had a bit more clothing variety #hazbin hotel #lavendertowne

Since Blind Man’s Bluff is gonna have more focus on the worldbuilding aspect of Whistlegrimm, I’ve been playing around with original fauna ideas for it. These are just kinda concepts and really janky ones at that. I can safely say that at least one of these species has an important role in one of the character’s backstories.

Ignore any convoluted statements in the bios I wrote them on a whim and then realized how dumb the Godmother bio is.

so like 2 days ago I finally read one of the comics I bought blind a while ago with comics that I was actually looking for.

anyway Rat Queens is just mid, if not below average. I wrote a rant/review about it but before i finished it I realised this title is just not worth it lmao

After I read it I only wanted to start reading Dungeon Meshi so I can read sth actually good tbh and maybe i’ll sit down to do it today kjhkjh

#my posts #rambling #idk why i’m putting it off for later I KNOW I WILL LIKE IT KJHDFKJBD #I’ve been spoiled a lot (that’s how I know this series is such szkicelcore) but i still wanna read it from start to finish #before i dive into anime #bc i’ve heard they’ve changed and cut some things so i wanna see the og first #Anyway if you want a short answer why I didn’t like Rat Queens #basically it suffers from this typical „adult comics” problem where everyone talks the same #and the dialogue feels so stiff and unnatural bc the author prioritizes adult jokes over substance and whether it makes #sense for the characters to actually say it or if it fits the context of the scene #basically what everyone else just calls „h//bin h/tel problem” (it’s actually handled way better than h//bin obv #but it’s still pretty bad)#Other stuff i didn’t like: artstyle is nice but faces are drawn so inconsistently that sometimes i couldn’t tell #that someone was supposed to be a character i’ve already seen #or the resolution of the main plot takes a couple of pages while the real climax is a battle related to some random troll #we’ve seen at the very start of the story (i know that’s the joke; like „haha i bet you thought this troll wasn’t gonna be relevant again”#but i would still rather have a proper resolution to the main plot…and maybe actually a better plot too you know kjhdjbd)#also they neglected my girl Dee - she was my favourite bc her design is cool; she’s an atheist paladin and mostly talks like a normal perso #the atheist-paladin thing is questionable but another character points it out so i guess they have an explanation for it #in the next tomes - but i’m not gonna buy another comic from this series so i will never find out lmao #Another thing that irks me that isn’t related to the comic itself are all the reviews at the back comparing it to LOTR of all things #„It’s like a mix of sex and the city and LOTR haha” „this is LOTR but with sexy ladies” shut up shuuuut uuuuuup #You guys know only one fantasy book series and it shows #if anything this comic is clearly inspired by DnD with all the references they make for rolling the dice etc #but only as a remark from the narrator at the end of every chapter so also not really #Anyway i need to read dungeon meshi dammit

Since a lot of y’all are extremely stupid and dense, this is not about sexualizing anyone especially a goddam 14 year old, most of the whole casting thing is shit to the point where they can’t even cast a single muscular woman that is literally in the story to be huge, tlou is a game that’s known to enhance women and their physical appearance without caring about the male gaze ( which didn’t happen in the series ), plus I’m not complaining about bella looking young for the role since ellie is 14 in part one, however I find it weird that most of the cast for season 2 looks like an old disney show cast, it’s the entire acting industry sexualizing young looking actors/actresses with sexual scenes not me!

it’s not that hard to find people who are talented, looks like the character and doesn’t look like a 14 year old ( literally look at what the fans chose ), another thing, I’m not hating on bella I think their acting is great and I loved it, at some scenes it was even better than the game and it was great for season one, I just hoped someone else would get the role for season 2, thats my fucking personal opinion and I’m allowed to say it and u r allowed to fuck off of my blog if u don’t like it.

I actually didn’t think people would make such a big deal out of it since it’s literally a tumblr post lol.

AGAIN I’m not sexualizing anyone, why the fuck would I do that anyway, y’all are just repeating what the crowd say at this point.
