Alright this is probably my favorite ask I've gotten in a while. Full disclosure I rarely eat fast food so I'm going solely off of vibes here

Roland: Gives me McDonald's/Burger King manager energy (except he's a good dude and not like a shitty manager) ((we love roland))

Lilith: Honestly? I could see Lilith working at like Panera. If that doesn't count as fast food probably like... Pizza Hut.

Brick: You already know my man works at Burger King. He wears the crown.

Mordecai: Definitely like a pizza hut or domino's type of guy. Tired and doesn't get paid enough (no fast food worker does)

Axton: you know that one drive thru worker who would sing the McDonald's theme and everyone loved him? That's Axton.

Maya: Maya would probably find herself working at Starbucks. I could absolutely see her being a fantastic barista and calling anyone who whined about her order a bitch. Also she'd look good in the apron...

Zer0: Works at Five Guys, also does the "Back at it again at Krispy Kreme" Vine thing every shift. Worked at Subway, got fired because they'd make people speak in haiku to order their sandwiches.

Salvador: Wendy's man. Surprisingly, tame at work. I could also see him as a Dunkin Donuts worker.

Gaige: If Gaige was forced to work fast food she'd probably get a McDonald's job and do the "overly nice but obviously sarcastic" voice to everyone until she snapped and got fired. Also probably dips her metal hand in the grease traps to slap a bitch.

Krieg: "THE LITTLE MAN LOVES THAT CHICKEN FROM POPEYE'S!" also employee of the month.

Athena: Canonically was very desperate for work so probably any of them but I think the funniest thing I can think of is Athena being one of those stone-cold McDonald's managers that have to constantly deal with shitty customers. I could also totally see her being a Chipotle worker and wrapping her burritos way too tightly out of aggression.

Nisha: I don't know if Texas Roadhouse counts but if it doesn't she'd definitely be working at a Pizza Hut. Hates her job.

Wilhelm: Disgruntled Burger King worker. (This ask was in response to the post I made about him)

Claptrap: Honestly, I could see Claptrap at any fast food restaurant but thinking of Claptrap as a sign spinner for like... Taco Bell seems perfect. KFC is also an option (props if you get this)

Timothy: Again, would work any kind of job for money, but I want to say he'd fit into like a Sonic or something.

Aurelia: As per the ask, would not go within 500 feet of a fast food restaurant. Prestigious food critic, total bitch about it. (I really love Aurelia I promise)

FL4K: Gives me Burger King energy because I think it'd be hilarious to see them wearing the crown. Also because I want to hear SungWon Cho (FL4K's VA) say "Your whopper is ready."

Zane: Banned from all fast food restaurants for public inebriation. Was formerly employed at Panda Express.

Moze: You know my girl is a Taco Bell employee. Drinks exclusively Baja Blast mixed with monster. Constantly making suggestions to people about what's good on the menu. Somehow doesn't put on any weight even when her diet is solely Taco Bell for like a month.

Amara: You know Amara would ideally want to work at one of those muscle bars, but as for fast food? I want to say she'd work at Arby's because she finds the commercials funny. That or Chipotle.

Did you create any bttf fanart or fanfic? If you did, what one(s) are you proudest of? Oh gosh. I worked on quite a lot of fics. I think I’m most proud of working on my current WIP: Someday We’ll Find It. It’s been really hard writing it and getting time to write it, but I’ve just been chipping away.

How many times were you late for school this year? None.

Did you watch any other movies/tv shows with BTTF actors in them? I watched MJF’s documentary Still, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, and Clue. I’m not sure if this counts, but I watched Zombieland: Double Tap which has Lea Thompson’s daughter in it (absolutely iconic in that movie btw).

Was there a memorable moment you heard a Huey Lewis song this year? I don't usually listen to Huey Lewis, but I listened to some songs from the bttf soundtrack while studying and those had Huey Lewis.

How many times did you fall down this year? I genuinely have no idea. I don’t think I fell down this year— at least from what I can remember.

Did you get to see BTTF: The Musical? What was your experience like! I did not see the musical.

How many times did your mom retell the story of how she and your father met? At least twice that I can remember off the top of my head.

If you could describe your year in a BTTF quote, which one would it be? “If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything!” I know it sounds cheesy, but it's true. I worked really hard this year and accomplished a lot. There were a lot of times where things did not go how I wanted them to, but I still put effort into making something out of it. I usually tend to focus on negativity and all the things I didn't accomplish, but writing this out really helped me remember a lot of the things I did accomplish.

And maybe work on being more assertive, but ehhhhh.

young sidney #2 (sidney's first interview)

june 2005

"from the adventures of sharkboy and lavagirl in theaters next friday, please welcome sidney depp!" there was a lot more people than she expected, it was so loud! she quickly refocused on jay leno, who extended his hand and shook it as she sat down, and after a minute the applause died down. she wasn't expecting the lights to be this bright, it always seemed more dim when she would watch at home. "look at you! you've gotten so tall! the last time i saw you, you came up to my knees!"

it is true; just a few months shy of her thirteenth birthday, sidney towered over most of the boys in her grade and she's already taller than taylor and cayden, her costars. "just eating all of my vegetables i guess." the audience laughed at that, although she couldn't tell if they were laughing to be nice or if they genuinely thought she was funny. "i see, i see. how old are you now, fourteen?" "no, i'll be thirteen in september," she responded.

"thirteen. gosh, the last time you were here, it was 1995 and you were asleep on your dad's lap, right on this very couch. do you remember that?" sidney could barely remember what she had for breakfast this morning; she just shook her head as the audience laughed (apparently they remembered like it happened this afternoon) so jay recounted the tale to those who didn't know the story: her dad was in this very studio during an appearance to promote nick of time. johnny was trying to get sidney to take a nap but she was not going down, even though he knew she was tired, her body just hadn't gotten the message.

her dad said leaving her alone with kate would make the situation worse, and no one else backstage had any experience with children, so he had no choice but to scoop her up with her blanket and snack and take her with him onto the stage as the show was just coming back from commercial break, and it was only then that she was (finally) able to go to sleep.

now the topic was finally back to sidney. "was it a wig or did you really dye your hair pink?" "they actually dyed my hair, and it took an entire day. by the end of it, i was like "i'm never doing this again." the audience laughed again, seeming to actually find it funny. as the segment went on, sidney found herself becoming more comfortable as leno asked her everything under the sun: her hobbies which sidney admitted her love of reading, the type of music she likes to listen with her friends ("destiny's child, britney spears, mariah carey."), and finally school and her plans for the summer.

"school's not so bad, and i get straight a's, so i'm not too bad. the only thing i hate is waking up so early but now that it's summer, i can just sleep in, but i still have to complete my reading list which is fine." sidney only has two more books before she's free, not that she minds. "and then after the press tour i'm just gonna spend the rest of the summer with my dad, so i'm pretty excited about that." her dad would be getting ready for his own press tour for charlie and the chocolate factory, so she and her brother and sister would try to squeeze in as much time as possible with him.

soon, sidney's segment was over and they cut to commercial break with jay promising to be back with the musical guest. "...and clear!" someone yelled from off stage. "how do you feel now? was i too much?" "no, no, you were fine. it's just a lot to take in." throughout her interview, sidney had to remind herself to block out the noise and just focus on leno. "it's so much brighter than when i watch at home."

leno laughed, patting her on her back. "trust me, to start to get used it, which is something you'll learn to do too. you'll be fine." sidney walked off backstage where her mom was waiting for her. sidney was hungry and tired at this point so they went through burger king drive thru before going back to their hotel. she was allowed to watch one episode of that's so raven while she ate and then go to bed; the premiere was tomorrow as well as additional press. she couldn't wait for it to be over so she could enjoy the rest of her summer.

"i don't know how dad does this for a month straight for every movie. for a month straight." the episode was almost over, so sidney made the transition of getting ready for bed: texting her friends good night and putting her phone on the charger and turning back the covers on the bed. "that's because your dad loves what he does, and he has to feed his kids, and if you're serious about acting, you're going to have to get used to not sleeping in your own bed for periods at a time. just think of it as an extended field trip. you get to travel, meet new people."

as her mom turned off the light, she said, "just one more day and you're done and you can have the rest of the summer." and that's what she's hanging on for. just one more day.

I regret telling people that I've been SA'd.

Because thoughts of their words play in my mind at random times throughout the day.

And I think it's their reactions that make me feel bad than the actual events.

I told my mom years after it happened. I only told her about freshman year, it's too soon to tell her about senior year. To be honest, I don't think I will.

We were sitting down and having a conversation. I don't know how we got on the topic, but we did. I told her that throughout freshman year, I was getting groped and touched by a guy in my grade, one that I had been friends with since middle school (he groped me then too, but I didn't tell her that).

She didn't believe me at first. "The guy from Burger King, remember? The one that gave us our food at the drive-thru, we went to high school together. It was him." I said. My throat always tightens when I talk about it, like I'm about to choke. It doesn't matter how many years pass, I always get that knot in my throat.

My mom didn't know how to respond. She seemed almost... indifferent? I don't know if that's the right word, but there was no empathy. No sympathy.

"I've never gone through that," she said. "I've only ever been friends with guys, and nothing like that's happened to me. Maybe it's the jokes you make, I don't know."

I nodded. Now I didn't know what to say. Sometimes I wonder if she remembers this conversation- it was a year ago. My mom and I don't have many experiences that overlap, we've experienced most things differently, but... I don't know. I don't think I've recovered from that.

And then my best friend Chantal told me she didn't know how to take it when I told her about what happened in senior year. How this guy in my science class would press me against the shelves in the supply closest roughly, that I was scared the weak shelves would fall and drop everything.

"I didn't know how to take it when you told me!" she almost laughed.

"Why wouldn't you know how to take it?" I asked her.

"You like it rough," she said.

You like it rough. I don't know. I just... I guess I should know better. I should've told these guys to leave me alone, I shouldn't have told my mom or Chantal about it.

I guess lessons where learned.
