For the Fanfic Writer asks
11, 12 and 21 please!
Thanks, and I hope you're having a good day! ❤️
11: What perspective do you write from most and/or least and why? (1st, 3rd limited, 3rd omniscient, deep pov, etc)
I mean, for fics, I write a lot of Reader insert fics, so nearly all of them are 2nd. For fics that aren't Reader inserts, I usually use 3rd limited. For novels, I use either 3rd limited or 1st.
As for why, I'll give a brief reason for each. For Reader insert fics, I prefer using 2nd because it gets around a lot of the "Y/N" issues. I've read Reader insert fics that use 3rd limited for the Reader's POV, and having all dialogue, observation, and internal monologue attributed to the Reader end in some variant of "Y/N said/thought/noticed/etc" ruins the immersion for me.
For non-Reader insert fics, I use 3rd limited because, generally speaking, I find it to be the most natural; in my mind, when I write, it's like I'm watching said character on a TV screen, with some insight into the main or POV character's thoughts/intentions/desires, so 3rd limited suits that mode of thinking well.
For my novels, I do use a lot of 3rd limited for the same reasons as above. But I also have a few that I use/intended to use 1st for because I think it suits the POV character. She's completely new to the world of the novel, so I think it better captures her inexperience and innocence.
12) Do you like to switch pov's a lot or stick to one character?
I tend to stick to one POV -for fics or novels-but I do have a few ideas of switching POV stories as a challenge of telling "different sides" of the same stories. Essentially, I think switching POVs can be a useful storytelling mechanism, but I tend to stick to a single POV because it's easier lol.
21) Writers choice - pick any of these questions that you want to answer.
I'm gonna call myself out with "6) Do you outline your fics? If so, how?" because the answer is a solid FUCK NO, and it gets me in logistical fic trouble so much lmao. I rarely make outlines, I never make timelines for the stories, I just start with a vision and go by the seat of my pants. It is, by far, my greatest weakness as a writer, and it's something I need to work on.
Even my NaNo planning is weaksauce (I can't do NaNo this year due to injuries, but past NaNos have always been messy for me). I remember my first NaNo that I didn't even start outlining until three days before November lol.

HEY guess who's being completely normal about episode 7 :)
anyway it sure ain't me, so I made myself a baby Malleus! I used the single-headed version of Choly Knight's hydra pattern (link will be in replies ↓↓↓) as a base, and just messed with some of the pieces to make him more Mall-y. including sewing all those little claw pieces, then pinning them on and realizing I actually liked him better without them...oh well. to heck with accuracy, I want stubby little dragon legs!
unfortunately, he doesn't photograph very well, especially his forehead scales (they're there! I promise!) (they're made of glitter HTV so they are actually SPARKLY in real life, yet apparently they come out completely invisible in photos, woe). but he is super cuddly and soft so I'm happy with him! just as in canon, he is a product of LOVE. :>
