don't get me wrong, 'rogue' is a great episode, but i've been buzzing with anger since it came out because what the fuck do you mean "first gay kiss"? and this isn't just because i'm a ninejackrose truther (i am), it's because jack harkness has been openly canonically in love with the doctor since 2005. he kissed him on the mouth in 2005 and it was earnest and flagrantly queer. jack harkness has been an unkillable faggot on family television since 2005 and you WILL put some fucking respect on his name because that shit is important. and even if jack harkness hadn't initiated the first gay kiss on doctor who, then there have still been times when the doctor has kissed men. and even if you write those off as platonic, what about the fucking sapphics that all of you are deciding to ignore? what about madame vastra and jenny, a married couple. or, more recently, the very notably lesbian bill kissing heather. and even all of this flippantly treats the historical queer subtext of the show as unimportant.

tl;dr, the fifteen did not have the first gay kiss on doctor who so stop fucking saying that

hey did you know that one of ian's special moves to get mickey's bratty ass back in line is to kiss him van-kiss style?

he'll get his wrists tied up or rope him down and then most times, he'll let him lie there for a few minutes. to settle down. to come to his senses, belly-up. and then, if the vibe is right, ian will lean over the arm of the couch - get his hands anchored on mickey where he thinks he needs them - spread and heavy on his chest, light around his throat, fingers holding him still by the jaw - and he'll kiss him from up above, just like he did in the van.

and just like he did in the van, mickey will melt into it. breathe and rise up into it. let out this long, heavy breath through his nose as ian sucks his bottom lip into a kiss or glides his tongue against mickey's and it's so easy to do it like this. ian has mickey in the palm of his hand. ian has mickey melting for him and doing whatever ian wants him to do - whatever keeps those hands on him, pressing him down into the couch.

ian's hands in his hair, scratching and yanking lightly. on his face, lil cheek caresses that'll have mickey exhaling into his mouth. on his neck, lingering, pressing just enough. on his chest, over his heart, ba-bum ba-bum ba-bum. right on beat with ian's heartbeat. over his tummy, fingers curling into his shirt, pulling up, and exposing his goosebumpy skin.

mickey allowing all of it. absolute putty in ian's hands. breathy moans and little whines escaping from him.
