the necklace exchange has to be one of my favorite scenes in the show. because in the books. annabeth gives percy her necklace to symbolize that she'll fight beside him in the face of adversity. when he's about to fight ares. but in the tv series. ares was never the real threat. percy whooped his ass in two seconds flat. the real threat was zeus. zeus is at the head of the neglectful system of which the gods use their children's as pawns to do their bidding. and when percy compared him to a monster. something he has to dismantle or dethrone to survive. he is essentially setting a death sentence in motion. and annabeth. who has blindly followed in the gods footsteps since she was seven. who has done everything they've ever asked. who perceives her value as a person based solely on the gods approval. understood that. and to go from blindly following the gods into to battle. to figuratively fighting alongside percy in the face of adversity. is one of the the utmost expressions of faith between these two thus far. and i love it so much.

A lot of people say Dick is Bruce’s leash, the one holding him together, tethering him to the world and keeping him from spiraling. And… tru tru, dick is all of that. But it’s also the other way around. Bruce is dicks reason to go on, the reason he believes the world and the people in it are good and deserve saving. Bruce is dicks tapestry and if he dies or goes missing? Dick unravels. He goes positively fucking feral.

Anyway if you have the time I would absolutely love to read a story of Bruce going missing, dick snapping and fucking off to like some remote corner of the world, kinda like Clint turned into that assassin when his family was snapped away, Bruce returns home and then babs and Tim and Jason are happy to see him but also like ‘you need to fucking find dick right now we have no idea where he is” so Bruce sets off on a hunt to find his son and then he finds him pretty fast but dick thinks it’s Jason or paranoid thinks someone is here to kill him too after Bruce so he runs and Bruce has to chase him and then Finally he catches up and dick is like ‘Bruce…?” And Bruce is like “it’s me chum, baby. Please come home.” And dick collapses in his arms and sobs and Bruce hugs him and he’s finally safe, finally okay, finally being stitched back together and yeah. Bruce and dicks relationship is so fucking previous to me k love them so much and I would write it but I have no idea where to start nor any motivation so feel free to write it if you want 🙃

I'm watching the live action™ and well it's not as bad as I thought, actually it's pretty good overall. Love the cast, the CGI is amazing and damn the locations are beautiful. But I think it misses a core point of the story.

The comedy.

One Piece is a comedy through and through and overall the characters have very comic-like personalities (and reactions ok).

They changed some things which makes sense for a live action but it cancelled the vibes of the series.

Why is Luffy so smart? Luffy is an idiot. He's an idiot and a egoist. What he says to Zoro in the liveaction is way too... Planned. His scripts are relaying too much on that Luffy who "believes in his dreams and crew" which is okay, he is that as well. And Zoro.... Damn so serious. He's an idiot as well...

And I KNOW I KNOW ITS ONLY 8 EPISODES THEY COULDN'T CERTAINLY DO EVERYTHING. But the comedy was a must. I wanted it to make me laugh. It didn't.

It's not reaching its point across. Even though they did great on the Buggy part, it was genius to set it in a circus with the town enslaved- there are some very good parts truly, but still...
