Carter let out a hollow, bitter laugh as he rolled onto his back. Pain flared across his whole body, but he didn't care. The air was scorched, fowl with the scent of burning corpses. And he laughed. Insanity, rage, heartbreak, bitter resentment at all who'd made him this way.

He turned his eyes to the red sky, breathing shaky. And still he couldn't stop laughing. He was delirous with pain.

"I hope you're proud of me, Dad." He hissed between laughter, cursing the hands that had wrought the carnage that surrounded him as he laid on the bloodstained grass. "I hope you're fucking proud of me."

aoughhhh argenti quest...how to be the most capable but cringefail at the same time? Hes the master at them simultaneously.

the way he rlly wanted to see wubbaboo 🥺

and i find his relationship with velite very...interesting. during the whole quest it felt like smth happened between them (?) Im not sure how to describe it. The thing abt hsr is time is only convenient to the story. Weeks will pass and the reader wont be informed. Exactly how many days were we in the sting or wtv it was? Definitely more than one day. I might have thought otherwise if velite was not part of the quest, but his behavior says more time has passed. He starts with annoyance than near the end feels affection towards Argenti. He talks as if they have gotten a lot closer over the course of the quest, which further soldified my thoughts. How much time passed from the events of the quest and Argenti's mssgs? Obviously quite a bit since Velite changed careers during this time and how Argenti helped.

Overall the quest was pretty cool, but it would've been so much better if they just added a scene like "___ days later..." or smth like that. Or "the next day". The timing kinda threw me off since it didnt take very long but felt as it should have.

But what himeko said at the end kinda made me sad for argenti. He's essentially looking for something that can't be found. Or maybe idrila can idk how aeons work.

I know ultimate sacrifice is dying in fight for what matters the most and in 100% cases it was reversed by kissing headcanon is strong, but what if your existence was erased from the universe and only I remember about you now instead, huh?

#the fact that 100% cases is a one game is irrelevant #so far rule was simple: hedgehog has to be kissed to be deadn't #sonic the hedgehog #sonic prime season 3 #shadow the hedgehog #i know that making potentialy at least several episodes if not a whole season without titular character is unlikely but what if?#it seems to be year of Shadow so its more likely than ever #sonadow #the “i heart you too”/“you must hate having to admit you need me” callback potential is too good #its not even as much about shipping as hoping for it to be meanigful in any way #i just want it to be more than everyone being sad and constantly saying how amazing he was and how they miss him #& brooding shadow grudgingly working with nine/anyone else because they forced him to and them winning because of power of friendship #and shoving a chaos emerald up sonics ass and everything going back to how it was #i want character development for shadow too damn it!#i want him to make some sort of a sacrifice too #i want him to fight for it. i want him to struggle without sonic. i want him to regret. i want him to go trough 5 stages of grief.#i! want! him! to! I love so much that echo isn't forgotten about. You feel his absence from the very beginning and it's a focus throughout the entire episode. I've seen many a lesser show sweep this kind of thing under the rug and pretend it never happened, and it makes me so happy to see people hurting and feeling that absence. A part of their family is gone and they need time to process. Idk it just means a lot to me 🤧
