Don't underestimate the power of a simple cup of milk.
I'm serious, just now, I was about to make myself a hot chocolate, but just as I was about to heat up the milk, I sort of looked at it and just... drank it. Then idk what it was, but I seriously felt like... happier. It feels like I haven't just HAD MILK in centuries. I think I almost forgot the taste. It's such a simple nothing, but... it's still so nice. It feels important somehow.
And idk... maybe it feels like... the world was going too fast, like I was going too fast. Maybe that's it. Just slowing down and taking a moment to just... drink a cup of milk. Take a break from everything happening all at once to just sit and... do virtually nothing.
I got all this from... literally a cup of milk. I'm so sleep deprived, alright that's enough for one day, gn guys.

✧Part 1 Chapter 1.2 -
fire in the sky ✧
(warning: violence )
________________________________________
The slugcat woke up the next day, it was still dark outside and the thick fog made it impossible to see anything. It was still really early, so it decided to prepare before continuing on with its adventure. It had some time to do so after all.
The slugcat left the backpack in the shelter and started to explore the facility, some walls were covered in marks, and some in moss, vines, and dead algy other in wethered down paintings of different creatures. On one of the walls, there even had the layout of the city, but it's not like it will be useful to the slugcat now, especially because some of the structures in the city fell, destroying the roads and other buildings in the process. The slugcat found a pipe that leads to the lower floors of the facility, parts of the "basement" were flooded and because of it there was a lot of plant life down there, the slugcat found some blue fruit and decided to eat some of it, it would return for the rest of it when it will it have to return to 'catch a ride'.
The slugcat went further down in the process grabbing some cherrybombs and tieing them together with a vine it ripped from the wall, creating a dangerous bouquet, it also found a spear and tied the danger baroque to it, to make it easier to carry, as it went further it found 2 more spears and tired them all together. The amount of things the slugcat was carrying started to become a little bit too much so it went back to the shelter it woke up in, It grabbed the remaining blue fruit and left them at the shelter with all of the stuff they found the fog started to back into the storm so the slugcats time was running out, and it had to be fast now. It found three more spears and one of them was just a sharpened metal rod, the slugcat also found two spore puffs some more cherry bombs, and ripped down more vines from the wall, the slugcat took them too.
After once again returning to the shelter the slugcat separated all of the things it found and took one spear and one cherrybomb then tightly and securely tied the plant to the top of the spear, careful not to set off the reaction, making a less powerful and kinda unstable explosive spear, the explosion from this thing would either scare something, knock it out if hit correctly or stun it, the slugcat did the same with the rest of the spears, but it ran out of cherrybombs before reaching the metal spear.
The raindeer started to wake up so the slugcat had to hurry, there was no time to go looking for more stuff. The slugcat tied the spears together to make them easier to carry and then attached them to the backpack, after that, they put the backpack on their back, grabbed the spore puffs, and ate the remaining blue fruit because there was no way that they cloud carry them, and ran up to an edge where it would be comfortable to get on one of the raindeer.
Shure enough one of the raindeer that woke up went up to the slugcat that was offering it a spore puff and lowered itself enough to eat the spore puff and that was enough that the slugcat could climb on its back without a problem with all of its luggage. All of the stuff that the slugcat had didn't weigh that much for the raindeer so it didn't mind and just let it be .after all this stuff will come in handy.
The slugcat found a comfortable place on the raindeer and decided to sit there, it also managed to attach the Spears to the raindeer so that they won't fall off during the ride. After the raindeer eats and shares a stare with the other raindeer that can be described as either a good morning or goodbye they set off toward the storm cell, the cold fog is still present but it keeps getting pushed further into the storm, and warm rays of morning sun can be seen on the horizon penetrating the clouds giving them in the process the colors of pinks, oranges, and yellows. Soon the raindeer starts walking through an endless field of red wormgrass, only small patches of decaying buildings that at this point can be classified as metal hills, are spared and don't have any bloodsuckers on them. But the distance between them is so big that even a cyan lizard wouldn't be able to cross this death field. Everything is quiet except the almost unnoticeable buzz of electricity and radio waves coming from gigantic towers that can be seen in the distance, most of the towers have a bright red light on the top, making them look like a haunting beacon in the fog and the broken light. The slugcat seems tense and is observing the sky like a hungry predator looking for pray and the raindeer seems to look up from time to time into the sky, too bad that you can't see anything except the now orange clouds and fog that lifted, in split a second the slugcat takes out one of the spears, climbs up the raindeers horns and aims to the sky,
sure enough, a colossal vulture can be seen and heard because it makes a blood-curdling screech, the vulture has orange feathers but its main body is dark greyish-blue, and the mask is a pale peach color having horns on the top of the mask that give it a demonic look, and legs that end with huge sharp talons. The vulture swings in the air from left to right observing the now freaked-out raindeer and a slugcat in hunting mode. The slugcat carefully watches the vulture while aiming at it despite the raindeer picking up speed, and once the vulture is in a good spot the slugcat makes one simple motion hitting it straight into the side of its head with the explosive spear that it made. Soon after, the chain reaction starts making multiple explosions from where the cherrybomb was attached which was enough to throw the vulture into the sea of red wormgrass and throw its mask off, the only thing that the vulture cloud now is screech and try to get away from the wormgrass which was impossible because there was not a single patch of soil that wouldn't be infested with this clingy bloodsucker, except the metal hills of course. It seems like the commotion attracted way more problems because 2 more vultures showed up doing a similar tactic to the first one but this time they keep their distance, making them harder to hit, one of them was jet black with a white mask, and the other one grey and red with a pink mask, the raindeer started to almost run at this point which was not helping the slugcat. Suddenly one of the vultures goes straight for them with its sharp claws, unfortunately for it that closed the gap between it and the slugcat and allowed for a clean shot for the head, the vulture fell to the thousands of wormgrass after the assault of explosions similar to the first one, thrashing and screeching, trying to get away. That left the jet-black one above the raindeer, the vulture flew up into the clouds making it impossible to see it, and the slugcat started to look around looking for it, the humm in the air became more noticeable, slightly distracting and irritating the slugcat that tried to focus on watching out for the vultures.
A few minutes passed, and still, no vultures, that didn't stop the slugcat from looking into the clouds and the obviously freaked-out raindeer from speedwalking, if the red wormgrass wasn't here the raindeer would run and the vultures from before would be more pissed out because they now would lack their mask so speedwalking it is.
Thunder was heard from the clouds - they were getting closer to the storm cell, and the flash from the lightning could be seen for a moment in the thick clouds. The raindeer had calmed down a little but the slugcat was still observing the sky for any threats. The clouds had an orange-yellow color now from the sun and the fallen city was barely able to be seen, the lone communication tower being the only thing pinpointing that it was there and not some random place, the temperature was rising but not significantly. The towers were starting to show up way more often on the horizon, under the storm's shadow giving it an eerie look, the hum of electricity and radio waves being way more noticeable but now it was like a lullaby, like a lullaby that tried to mask the obvious danger of this field of death, some insects were flying in the air, similar in appearance to mayflies on steroids, slugcat trying to scare them away with a spear for fun sometimes when It lost focus and stopped watching the clouds, surprisingly the slugcat managed to impale one and ate it, for the next couple of minutes nothing interesting happened, except the occasional light show in the clouds above from the lightning, they were approaching the first metal hill, on the top of it there were 3 black and white birds one of them had blue on the bottom of their wing, each one of them had orange-red serrated beaks, another bird flew down from the sky and sat on one of the raindeers horns, the bird was roughly the same size as the slugcat and had one of these bugs in it's beak, both animals on the raindeer exchanged glances and seemingly decided not to bother each other. The slugcat observed the metal hill for a moment before losing interest, it seems like it didn't have anything that they needed, all of the birds suddenly looked up before fleeing in a panic, soon after a screech was heard, a familiar screech
the vulture came back with friends,
4 creatures came down from the sky each one of them making horrible screeches that sounded as if metal was being ripped and someone scraping a fork on a plate at the same time, this time they didn't watch and wait they went straight to attacking, one of them a red/black one started to rapidly descend, claws out towards the raindeer. The slugcat did not let that pass and immediately threw a spear at it kicking the bird out of the sky, another one went soon after but this one went towards the slugcat, the creature was full force hit with a spear that impaled its neck and then finished it off with a couple of explosions that caused the gas that the creature used to coordinate in the air, to catch on fire with the bird. Another one went for the raindeer and slugcat managed to hit it but it only knocked it down it fell near the metal hill that it used to crawl out of the wormgrass but it stayed on the side of it exhausted, which left one non-explosive spear, and 2 vultures, the position that the slugcat found itself in was bad but it cloud have been worse. Out of nowhere, 3 more vultures showed up, well it did get worse.
The raindeer ran towards the second nearest metal hill that did not have a vulture on it, the birds followed them attacking nonstop but rarely hitting because of the very determined slugcat that did not want its taxi to get hurt by them and swinging the spear in front of them every time they got a little bit too close, the thunder in the sky was getting louder and more frequent as soon as the raindeer reached the hill it immediately went behind it and hid there from the birds, the slugcat now capable of going on something not moving went on the hill and quickly looked around it for anything it can kill the vultures with or just scare them off.
The slugcat only found 2 spears and a rock, this wasn't enough but it had to cut it. One of the vultures descended in an attack towards the slugcat, the much smaller animal dodged and hit the vulture in the head with the rock momentarily making it stop attacking and forcing it to recover which was enough time to hit it with a spear, run up and stab it again this time in the neck, to say the least, the vulture did not like that. It tried to attack back but the slugcat dodged it again, the vulture went up into the sky with the spear still in its neck, welp here goes the spear.
Another vulture went for an attack and the slugcat yet again dodged, picked the rock back up, and hit this one in the head with it too. The difference between that vulture and this one is that this one stayed in the air and soon after went for another attack with its claws, the slugcat managed to stab it in the leg which was obviously really painful for the vulture because it made a terrible screech of pain, but before the vulture could go back up the slugcat grabbed the spear and yanked it out of its leg then hit it in the head with it that caused it to plummet into the sea of wormgrass below. The slugcat looked down the edge of the hill into the wormgrass to admire its work then went back to fighting off the vultures.
The slugcat had a spear and a rock left, it needed to think about its next move because once this metal sear is used up it won't have anything to defend itself against the birds.
The vulture with the spear in its neck went closer to the other ones obviously asking for help with removing the spear during that one of the vultures started to fly closer to the slugcat that climbed up higher on the metal hill, now standing on a stable pipe really high up. The slugcat full force threw the rock straight in its face causing it to back off toward the rest of the vultures that tried to help out their friend.
The thunder was getting louder and electricity was felt in the air, the slugcat looked at the metal spear and then at the vultures that were close to each other creating a lot of gas around them .gears seemed to move in the slugcats head at the danger of being struck by lightning because it was holding something long, sharp and made out of conductive metal. The slugcat aimed at one of the vultures in the middle, the same one that had the spear in its neck because it was staying mostly in the same place and waited a while, the electricity in the air was felt, the ticking time bomb was ticking and the slugcat wasn't planning on getting struck by lightning so it had one chance at landing a good hit and the slugcat had to do it fast, so in one simple motion with some difficulty, it threw at full force the spear into the vultures back near the openings that created the gas,
and in the next second, a bright flash of light appeared in front of the little creature where the vultures were, throwing it down from the top of the metal hill followed by an explosion and a very loud sound, so loud in fact that the slugcat had to hold its ears for a minute and lay on the ground, after a moment the slugcat looked up and saw the vultures falling to the ground, some of them on fire some just dead from being hit by lightning, plummeting like a bunch of comets.
The slugcat laid there for a while just watching as the bodies burn and some of the not completely charred ones got eaten by the wormgrass and these other birds, the slugcat soon after stood up gave it the last glance, and went back to the raindeer that now after witnessing that got a little bit calmer but still tense after the danger of vultures had passed. The slugcat took out the second spore puff and gave it to the raindeer to eat, the way bigger animal got instantly interested in the snack and greedily ate it, the raindeer deserves a snack after something like this. The static was still felt in the air but not as much, the volume of it still caused a headache but also not as much.
More and more of the birds showed up, and some of the big bugs appeared too. The birds kept their distance but the bugs didn't seem as smart and flew around the slugcat that finally got fed up, caught some ate like 1-2, and gave the rest to the birds that happily ate the annoying insects that didn't let the slugcat rest when the raindeer finally ate the spore puff it started to walk away towards wherever it was going, the slugcat quickly climbing onto it to not get left behind.
One of the birds stuck by the slugcat by sitting on the raindeers horn but flew away after a while. That fight and the stop took some time because the clouds became orange signifying that the end of the day is coming, the fog slowly crept closer and the communication tower and the city on the horizon slowly disappeared behind it. The smaller towers started to show up under the storm's shadow, there were a lot of them, the metal structures attracted a lot of lightning getting hit by it from time to time making the red light on it flicker, turn off then turn on again. It seems like They were made to withstand that, the hum in the air is almost unnoticeable and the wind started to pick up making the sea of red wormgrass move like waves, the lack of outright danger made it peaceful, and quiet.
The next hour or so didn't have anything interesting going on... Except for the slugcat falling asleep and almost falling into the wormgrass. They were already in the so-called twilight zone, the only source of illumination being the broken light of the setting sun being reflected by the thick blanket of clouds above, it started to rain, it was more drizzle than rain actually but it was raining nonetheless. The reindeer was nearing its and slugcats destination, a wall no bigger than the raindeer was seen stretching on seemingly forever under the storm. The wall had holes in it and was completely destroyed in some places leaving a bunch of rubble behind that black and red wormgrass was growing on in small patches and in-between it a turquoise algy that looked like moss. Around this, all were small half-decayed buildings. It was impossible to figure out what the wall if it actually was a wall was at this point, all that was known was that it served as a barrier between the rather calm wasteland that the slugcat came from and the chaotic storm and its environment that the wasteland surrounded. Once the raindeer crossed the wall through one of the openings it stopped.  Both raindeer and the slugcat looked at want lay in front of them, a field that seems infinite because of the fog littered with canyons that indicated that there was a massive drought here once or a lake, the rain was way more agressive there but not as bad as the downpour near iterators.
The slugcat got off the raindeers back, where he was the only one who can cross this safely. The slugcat looked once again at the raindeer that was eating the algy off the wall. On the horizon, in the direction of the city more raindeer started to appear one of them with the scavengers on its back. The other raindeer that did not have a passenger were covered in deep scratches and wounds, that's why the slugcat attacked these vultures, the feed on raindeer, and anything that was on them. But there was no time to wait now the slugcat had to go and find shelter before the rain gets worse. The drizzle was just the start of it, the drizzle indicates that the sun is setting. The drizzle indicates that the night is coming and with the night comes a lot of rain. With the night comes the downpour of this place. With the night comes the storm, And the flood.

|somewhere in the field of wormgrass|
The vulture was sitting on the metal hill looking at the slugcat fighting its friends, it was too tired to move because of the wormgrass and it couldn't fly off because of this and the fact that the impact of hitting the hill broke its wing. It was crippled, laying on the cool metal exhausted, helplessly watching as its comrades fell one by one in the distance. Thunder was heard in the sky through the electric current that was building up in the air, one of the smaller birds flew down from somewhere and sat on top of the hill, observing the defenseless vulture, the bigger bird didn't seem to care, it was too tired to care. It allowed itself to rest for a bit but a loud noise woke it up. The lightning hit the metal spear igniting the gas cloud that formed around its friends that tried to help one of their own, the explosion immediately killed the ones that were the closes and knocked out and ignited the ones that were further away. All of them fell from the sky like comets and hit the ground. The fire killed off the wormgrass that tried to eat the bodies. two more smaller birds appeared.
The vulture couldn't do anything except watch. watch as birds and insects soon enough swarmed the bodies and started eating them, one smaller bird appeared.
The vulture just sat there watching as this all happened, it didn't seem to care anymore, it went to sleep, and it needed rest if it wants to somehow escape the metal hill before nightfall.
The next time it awoke the clouds above were deep pink and orange, and the sun was closing in on the horizon. It overslept but it was rested enough to try flying.
.
.
.
it did not work, it didn't even manage to fly up a bit. The vulture was doomed and it knew it because the fog was already coming and so did the night. Even tho this place did not have rain the creatures still looked for shelter and for a good reason because that fog was in par dangerous with the downpour that happens every cycle near iterators but for a completely different reason. There was a reason to hide from the fog. The vulture was desperately trying to lift off the ground but it soon gave up and just sat there hoping that what was coming will not get to it. The sun was already behind the horizon, its golden rays still illuminated the clouds up above.
The cold of the night already arrived and it became quiet, too quiet. The electrical buzz in the air stopped the insects went silent, more birds came and sat on the metal hill looking at the vulture that looked back at them. The thick fog soon enough rolled in capturing everything in a cold blanket that blocked off the vision of any creature in it.
More bids arrived, and there was very little space to move because of them, the vulture noticed it. It sometimes snacked on these birds when they sat on raindeers horns, all of them now surrounding the vulture looking at it with a blank stare. Even more of Them arrived, there was no space except directly where the vulture was to sit so they flew in circles around the hill. In between the inactive wormgrass, an orange-red overseer appeared its eye lacking any white, it had a black sclera and yellow-red iris like a star in the night sky. It looked kinda creepy just sitting there watching the vulture that noticed it and was now starting at it too. One of the birds swooped down and tried to catch the overseer but failed and it fled leaving the vulture alone with the birds.
.
.
.
One brave bird got closer to the vulture and pecked it which resulted in the vulture catching it and killing it, that pushed the domino effect and all of the other birds suddenly swarmed the vulture and started to attack it, the panicked vulture tried to flap its wings and shake off the smaller birds that were attacking it but instead, the vulture stumbled and fell from the metal hill into the wormgrass below, that for whatever reason didn't seem to wake up and stayed inactive.
The struggling vulture did not notice the rather large hole in the size of the hill, it wasn't a pipe or anything it looked like a burrow. The vulture also did not notice the weak blue light that started to come its way from the burrow and the sound of something scraping the metal. Soon enough sound of electricity followed, and the cracking of electricity and the light grew more intense. Then a hiss was heard. That caught the attention of all of the birds that suddenly looked in union towards the burrow. The cracking of electricity grew louder and soon a hum in the air was heard the very same hum that was heard throughout the day. All of the smaller birds flew up into the air and fled into the fog when another hiss was heard, the now confused and hurt vulture kept looking at the burrow. But its starting was cut short when a sudden and strong electricity hit it almost as strong as that of lightning completely paralyzing the vulture and causing it to spasm on the ground right in front of the burrow, something quickly got out of the burrow, bit down on the helpless vultures neck and dragged it down into the hole leaving no trace behind except a few feathers on the ground. The night stayed silent after that and the unknown overseer hidden in the wormgrass stared at the burrow, unmoving, silent. Waiting to catch the owner of the burrow emerge.

Administrator (1) - good. Do you know what test we will be having today
Unnamed- no I do not know
Administrator (1) -Then I would like to inform you that today we will be naming you, so no tests ~. The second... Administrator will be joining us
Unnamed- oh. no tests...

Administrator (2) - hello? Do this thing work, can you hear me?
Administrator (1) - hello. Good to hear you, yes at least I can hear you
Unnamed - I can hear you too. And also hello...
Administrator (1) - seems like you skipped a couple of tests didn't you ~
Administrator (2) - ugh* I was busy you know that
Administrator (1) - yea yea Shure sure
Administrator (2) - I'm telling the truth I was busy you know that. Don't be like that I did not miss these tests on purpose
Administrator (1) - I'm just teasing you don't panic it's not like you are in trouble even if you missed them intentionally ~ *a chuckle can be heard*
Administrator (2) - you and I perfectly know what you would do to me if I missed them on purpose and we both know that I would, in fact be in trouble
Unnamed - what would she do if you missed them?
Administrator (2) - nothing you have to be worried about ...
Administrator (1) - yea just like he said nothing you have to be worried about because I would make sure he never misses another test after that
*laugh was heard in the background *
Administrator (2) - you scare me
Administrator (1) - good
Unnamed - uh... This is concerning
*complete silence was present for a moment in the audio*
Administrator (2) - so ... We are naming ... That... today... Why do you need me for then if it's just naming ??
Administrator (1) - you know me for long enough to know that I'm terrible at naming stuff alone
Administrator (2) - oh... Yeah. So... How do we start... And I forgot why we made that thing
Administrator (1) - heyyyyy don call them a "thing" at least call them an intelligent AI but not a thing, that's rude. How would you feel if I called you a thing
Unnamed - I don't mind. Please you two don't argue
Administrator (2) - I batter do apologize before she does me any harm. So I'm sorry uh. Oh, right, the naming.
Administrator (1) - yea you batter do apologize. And I don't know how you forgot. They are the first part of the stormcutter project. And yeah ... How do we name you?? Do you have anything you wanna be called
Unnamed - I. don't know... If I'm part of the stormcutter project so maybe something with storm. I don't know, I'm fine with anything really
Administrator (1) - hm... Something with storm in it. Your eyes are kinda golden so maybe something with this too?
Administrator (2) - "golden songs of storms" how about that. does that sound good to you?
Administrator (1) - Well that was fast.
l must say it does sound rather nice to me. So ... You wanna be called "golden songs of storms" /GSOS. Does that sound good to you or do you want something else?
Unnamed - I don't know. I'm fine with anything you're fine with, and I'm not sure if later on, I will find it fitting
Administrator (2) - you know you can change it if you want
Administrator (1) - yea if you want to you can always change it later on. It's your name, not ours. I mean others would just give you some name and keep calling you that one name even if you don't like it and even if you change it but I would like to give you the option to change it. How about you my co-worker?~ do you give them the option to change it
Administrator (2) - yea. Shure. Why not it's not like I care I can call them whatever they see fit
Unnamed- oh... Golden songs of storms ... It does sound nice. I think?
Administrator (1) - are you 100℅ sure? You can change it if you want to
GSOS - yea... I like it. I will keep it
Administrator (1) - Well then Golden songs of storms why don't we introduce ourselves because if I'm being honest I don't know why the files call us Administrator and I don't really wanna be called that...
Administrator (2) - yeaaaa introducing ourselves to you would be good. the files don't have our names in them...
Ok.
So I will start. I'm
Six Serpents Found Knowledge.
GSOS - golden songs of storms, GSOS
Administrator (1) - alright then, I'm Silence of -

So this is the second chapter.
I dont know when I will make the next one because I'm kinda ill and I need to take a break for multiple reasons
The [ ] in the last chapter is "unnamed"(GSOS) in this chapter, the [ ] in this chapter is an entirely different character.
I had trouble writing SOW and SSFK (it's kinda hard to write a chaotic neutral character )
So. Happy new year. I hope that anyone who was willing to read that enjoyed it just a little bit .
No I do not have set about of words per chapter I cant say if the next chapter will be longer or shorter
Oh. And the slugcat is he/him
Also if you guys dont know tf I am talking about when I say ,static in the air I mean this
youtube
youtube
This sound. Don't ask me how just know that this sound was heard.
If the links dont work just search on yt
Radio static sound Effect. Or
Sound of corona from power line
(both were heard so meh)
Also, I would like to inform yet again that English is not my first language

nothing to boil the blood in the morning quite like coming across an etsy page of AI generated furry adopts and going "okay, well, surely no one's *buying* these seven fingered airbrushed freaks," but, alas. almost 600 sales. making literal hundreds of dollars off of stolen work. fuck off and blow up.

ok so for the animatic i was looking up “desperate’s knot” because of some really important scenes ive planned for it (for example, during the lyrics “We never meant to part // sublime, thy art” Ishmael’s holding her headband in her hands) and in game queequeg recognizes the headband as the desperate’s knot. so i searched it up. first result was a post on the limbus company reddit, no images.
so i went to the images tab and.
Youre fucking telling me
that the desperate’s knot
is literally a noose.
god the IRONY…
but yknow. cool. how do i draw the headband though

untitled (2024) .
sometimes i get gomens brain rot, and this time it helped me fist fight writers block for a bit.
maybe in another universe, crowley wouldn't be lying awake with uncertinity tugging at the strings of his heart wondering if things could have been different that the ache that has been prevalent since aziraphale had left would've mayhaps subsided after a few millenia of roaming the roads with the emptiness weighing heavy beside.
that somewhere in a different dimension, they are sitting across the cosmos with fingers intertwined - the stars as a witness to the love between
but who is he to really complain, truly.
aziraphale was an angel,
and crowley was woven through the scriptures as his nemesis for all of eternity.
as he was a always a choice,
yet never destined to be chosen
