Anyways, this took weeks to make (cuz of studying and the fact I got sick in the middle of it) but im rather happy with what I have came up with!

Always feel free to make asks like this! I enjoy them a lot! might take a while for them to come out cuz of school but I'll do my best!

WHAT DOES YOUR MUSE SMELL LIKE ? i'll be honest i am SO bad at describing/imagining what a character might smell like but ppl bring up zeni's aftershave in canon a lot, and imo warm bergamot/leather scents suit him really well. but here's what my friend said and baaasically i agree: "i think inspector zeni would be more like the strangers one (a cologne w notes of roasted coffee, whiskey, and suede) but maybe now that im thinking of food-y scents the chili pepper notes could work for him. like, roasted/popped corn, chili pepper and toasted sesame. i think it would be very tasty like the lapsang souchong smoky-tea scent, yuzu and a mild aquatic to give the impression of a soap he used or a cologne he sprayed before going out, with a rich peppery spice and the roasted grains for added warmth. just a bit of skin musk too. like if u were sitting in a restaurant with him after work you can smell pretty much his whole day on him. i dont think he would carry a strong synthetic smoke scent like you get with actual cigarette smoke i think there's a lot of other notes going on that give more of a masked, faint smoke scent hence why lapsang tea would be two-for-one in terms of green tea and smoky notes."

WHAT DO YOUR MUSE’S HANDS FEEL LIKE ? zenigata's hands are hairy and naturally soft but well-worn, calloused and scarred from almost three straight decades of fieldwork. they tend to run warm like the rest of him. he has an iron grip; his hands are INCREDIBLY strong, and his fingers are thick with blunt nails.

WHAT DOES YOUR MUSE USUALLY EAT IN A DAY ? depends on the day... zenigata has a HUGE appetite and is usually hungry enough to eat something at any given moment, but he has learned to curb it given the fact he gets stranded places... a lot. he isn't a picky eater whatsoever, aside from disliking overly sweet foods like desserts. if he's actively working on a lup heist he doesn't have much more than a few coffees and maaaybe a cup of microwave ramen/some gas station snacks. because his schedule is so busy, home cooked meals aren't something he's fortunate enough to have. instead, he gets a lot of street food, takeout, snacks, etc, anything that's easy to eat on the go. is this healthy? not at all. is it practical? maybe.. if u squint and tilt ur head. is he going to stop doing it anytime soon? well. no.

DOES YOUR MUSE HAVE A GOOD SINGING VOICE ? surprisingly, yes! there isn't any "canon" basis for this one, only that his voice actor sings professionally ^_^ and i think it'd be cute if zeni could too hehe. this song is my favorite by him! it sounds pretty close to how i imagine zeni's singing voice: deep, steady, and passionate.

DOES YOUR MUSE HAVE ANY BAD HABITS OR NERVOUS TICKS ? nervous ticks, no. bad habits, yes. zenigata is a stress smoker*, and when his depression is particularly bad, he tends to drink himself half to death. he also overlooks his own health a LOT and it doesn't help that hospitals make him nervous. though he hasn't had a heart attack yet (<-lol.), he does have a history of panic/anxiety attacks, one of which was so bad he needed to be hospitalized. these were more prevalent during his early years on the lupin case, he has since reigned them in considerably but under the right conditions the threat is of course always there.

*he tries not to smoke in public, and NEVER smokes around anyone 21 years old or younger.

WHAT DOES YOUR MUSE USUALLY LOOK LIKE / WEAR ? business wear is the name of the game. zenigata is very very VERY rarely seen out of his trenchcoat, even in the summer. under his coat is a charcoal-black suit, white button-up, dark red tie, and a tank top undershirt. despite how active he is, he wears black dress shoes (which are a bit scuffed if you look closely enough) and sock garters. on his wrist is a fairly inexpensive leather-banded watch. his fashion sense is very practical, if not erring on the side of bland. even what he considers "casual wear" is dress pants and a button-up. in general he prefers neutral and warm colors: browns, blacks, tans, oranges, reds, whites (smthn along the lines of his part 1 or cagliostro palettes).

IS YOUR MUSE AFFECTIONATE ? HOW SO ? yes... zeni may as well be a 6'5" teddy bear, but physical affection is reserved for a select few and he isn't usually the one to initiate it. that said, he has a habit of being very casually physical with lupin (there's literally an ep in part 4 where they're putting their hands in each other's mouths like it's smthn they do all the time... 🤨🏳️‍🌈). aside from lup though he's good at respecting people's physical boundaries so it's hard to say... casual affection is pretty common for him when it comes to romantic partners, like brushing a hand against your back while he passes by.

WHAT POSITION DOES YOUR MUSE SLEEP IN ? this one also depends... someone as perpetually exhausted as zenigata is a master at sleeping anytime, anywhere. when in bed though, he's either splayed out on his back or stomach; he isn't much of a side sleeper unless someone happens to be laying with him. sometimes he'll fall asleep hugging a pillow. when he's sleeping upright, like in a chair or against a wall, his arms are usually crossed over his chest and his head is bowed/his fedora tipped down over his face.

COULD YOU HEAR YOUR MUSE IN THE HALLWAY FROM ANOTHER ROOM ? stealth is NOT zenigata's strong suit. you could hear him from the other side of the city. he is L-O-U-D, LOUD, especially when he's angry. stomping feet, booming voice, the works. he doesn't try to be loud on purpose, but he's a big guy so he can't always help it.

Last Food You Ate: i just ate some graham crackers and it is giving me a tummy ache, though everything does these days bc im delicate fragile dainty etc etc . they were the scooby snacks ones actually and its exciting because theyve put them into one big box instead of separating them out into packages so i can eat half the box in a sitting like an idiot. also i dont think scooby snacks would taste cinnamony tbh i expected a more salty savory flavor, based on what i feel like they'd taste like in the cartoon. something nutty maybe

hiii im going to be living w my aunt over the summer and therefore buying my own groceries. I am going to be busy w summer classes and working on the weekends but I do rlly want to try cooking at least once or twice a week. I can make an egg and pasta but that’s about it. What are some of your fave recipes that aren’t super complicated that I could start with if you have any? (I am open to a minor challenge but cooking can overwhelm me so I like a challenge but not too much of one lol). I am also vegetarian (not vegan) if that matters! If you don’t get to this that’s okay !!! I hope u are well 🩷🩷🩷

now it's been a little while for me since i've had to use this model due to moving back home w my family for a time but when buying groceries for one person i found it helpful to follow this sort of structure about once a week! when i do this it feels a lot easier to 'wing it' in the kitchen and mix and match my meal components. and to preface, this is what i find to be helpful and everyone is different and finds different things to work for them!!

1-3 protein sources - i like to center my meals around this because i've found it helps me feel the most nourished and full, i always think of it as things that can be the 'star' of your dishes. i eat meat so i usually do salmon, chicken thighs, and alternate pork + beef. but for u that could b things like tofu, eggs, beans/lentils, mushrooms maybe, vegetarian 'meat' fakes lol, peanut butter if u like any peanutty noodle dishes

3-4 veggies - i love to snack on veggies so i usually get snap peas, cucumbers, + bell pepper just for snacking, and then something like brussel sprouts for roasting as a side dish w a dinner, these can also be frozen

2-3 types of fruit - i am a smoothie enjoyer bigtime so i get a combo of frozen and fresh, almost always mango, and then whatever is seasonal that i can see myself being excited to eat throughout the week

2-3 grains - pastas, premade pizza crusts, bread, rice, etc!! these rly round out ur meals!! and imo they make it simpler to make a meal on the fly. i am a huge fan of microwave rice LOL

2-3 multipurpose dips/spreads/sauces/condiments/pantry items - now here is ur golden ticket for being able to reliably make well rounded and varied meals!!! slowly building up your collection over time is the most cost effective way imo. it's helpful to stock up your pantry w things like baking supplies (flours, sugars, leaveners), spices, shelf stable canned goods (canned tomatoes, beans, vinegars, oils, soy sauces, fish sauce, cartons of things like oak milk), and 'fridge pantry' items (parmesan, herbs, lemons for juice and zest, miso, gochujang, ketchup, mayo, hot sauce, jam, pickles, etc). you can use these to season your food as you cook!

2-3 snacks/frozens - any microwave meals or chips or desserts you might want!!

using this structure makes it easier to look at what you have and be like, i have xyz and they would go together well.

EX. i have rice, tofu, and bok choy, now i can cook the rice and pan fry the tofu and bok choy with my pantry ingredients (soy sauce, miso, sesame oil, chili oil) and create a filling meal!

some of my favorites that could be made vegetarian -

ground pork seared on the bottom of a dutch oven in patties (you could sub tofu or use a fake meat replacement), broken up into smaller chunks, eaten with linguine, sliced snap peas or celery, + a garlicky peanut butter sriracha sauce

pizza w a store bought crust!! super easy, done in like 10 minutes! i like to make mine in a cast iron following this protocol

i really love to dress up ramen w sliced veggies and eggs

i like to make pasta dishes and then form a sauce w parmesan cheese, butter, pasta water, lots of lemon zest and juice and sometimes chicken stock, then adding in peas and fresh herbs at the end

About me hmmm I’m always running around doing something whether it’s working or finding another hobby (that i have way too many of) I’m really relaxed (despite the chaotic schedule) and easy going and I love to take care of people!

Hobbies-wise I like to travel the most but baking and gardening are close seconds! Special interests are animals probably? I know a ton about them and tons of fun facts. Also I could talk about baking, eating, food for days and days.

I have a cat that is so clingy I could throw him and he’d shoot back like a boomerang lol. My style is girly and colorful i guess? and anything sparkly is good! a wonderful mix of cute but comfortable so there’s gotta be pockets on everything. I love a good overall too but…😩 im getting off track

I actually love period pieces like bridgerton or the gilded age and old black and white movies are so fun! I love fantasy too especially in books (i read TONS) and theres a movie called stardust that’s also a book? One of my all time favs. But old 80’s movies with the special effects are also delightful for me (and another special interest i forgot.)

important stuff ahh I’m affectionate with the people i love but when people show it back i get all flustered about it I’m like what do mean you love me 🫣 how bold despite clinging to them and gushing praises at them on the regular. I do end up blushing a lot even just when I get excited talking about what I like and I don’t come up for air while chatting a mile a minute. I love spending time with the people I care about to the point where I’ll drag them everywhere with me if im able to. I also tend to worry about them quite a lot even when there’s really nothing to worry about. I’m a little airheaded and daydream-y when I’m not busy doing something. Thats probably the only time I’m quiet tbh

The gardening hobby definitely caught my attention, but there are other reasons! Umemiya strikes me as the type of guy who takes care of everyone first before even thinking about himself, so having someone who cares for others means he has someone who will care for him! Making sure he rests, making sure he takes his glasses off before he sleeps, helping him in the garden, helping him style his hair, etc. All the little things you do to help him has his heart fluttering!

He loves hearing you talk about animals, even listens about different birds in the area and what their diets are, researches different veggies and seeds to add to the garden to try and get more birds visiting so you can see them!

Plus someone who loves cooking? He sends you home with fresh veggies almost weekly! You're saving money whenever you go grocery shopping, and if you bring him bentos with that food he eats it all! He brags about it to everyone too!

He would love your cat, but he would also have silent stare-downs with said cat for your affection. He goes to lay his head in your lap, but your cat's already there. Now they're silently staring at each other, neither blinking. You have to adjust both of these big babies to cuddle both of them.

I also can see you getting him to watch Bridgeton with you, and he is SO enthralled! You have nights where you eat snacks and binge episodes, he plays the soundtrack when on the roof tending to the garden. You created a monster, that's what you've done!

Ume also would love someone as clingy as he is, and even more so if he can fluster you while the affection happens! He gives me cute aggression energy, so if you're blushing whenever he proclaims he loves you or you two share a kiss, expect to have your cheeks squished between his hands.

nyway Im gonna write this in a lazy way bc I dont wanna think about formally writing a drabble LOL. (Added note: for some god awful reason I decided to switch from using the term oc to straight up just using the second person POV hahhdjwjwhHWUQIWIEHEH anyway sorry)

I can imagine oc isn’t too phased by being late on their period bc it’s happened before--probably missing like 2-5 days and it coming like no problem. But this time it’s a week and a half late and they’re slowly like..................... O_O. Ok maybe...... maybe we are in Trouble. And they text Namjoon and they’re like

HELLAO BIG PROBLEM BIG WOOOOOOAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And Namjoon texts back like

and oc says CALL ME NEEEEEOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!

and see ok the thing with oc and their texting is that it doesn’t translate to theior actual physical reaction so naturally when oc picks up the phone when Joon calls they’re like “hi babe n_n”, Just very calm and very. Idk not really that phased and Joon is like “What did you wanna talk about?” and oc straight up just goes:

“I might be the 1%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

and it’s so got dam VAGUE and Joon is like !???!?!1 please explain?!?!?! and oc is like

“Do you know what it’s like to potentially be the bearer of the Second Coming of Christ.”

And oc just like.

Which is true. You could hate Namjoon for being logical in a moment like this but you secretly are just one more thought of babies away from screaming and crying.

So.

He tells you he’ll be with u in like an hour to get the stuff u need and u sit on the bathroom floor with a blanket around u because the one inch barrier of cotton protects you from all the bad stuff. Luckily your parents aren’t home and Namjoon comes barreling through the front door (exactly an hour later like he said—also he used the key you gave him bc he’s welcome here anytime which makes u feel all giddy) and you can hear him make a beeline up the stairs to the bathroom door. He opens it and he just has a plastic bag that he immediately drops to the ground and he kneels down in front of u n scoops u in his arms and just…. Cradles you like a giant baby 😭😭😭 then You just completely forget why he came there in the first place and he’s kissing u all over ur face n telling u ur silly n that he loves you forever n then it’s like 20 mins later n ur like oh :) guess I should pee on this stick huh

And he watches u take a pee pee bc u need the moral support LOL and eventually it’s down to when ur waiting for that fawking line on the test. And to pass the time Namjoon joins you when u make a home of ur blanket again and digs through the plastic bag and is like look I got u chocolate : ) n u share the pieces and it’s a little melted in the plastic but wow still yummy!!!! Eating snacks with my lover on the bathroom floor, so romantic!

But then Namjoon's gaze just kind of glosses over and he holds your hand. Gives a you a little smile.

"You know I'm always here for you. Right?"

Fear strikes you in your heart. You think of a horrible future where he's not here with you anymore. No spare key to give out. Whatever space you've carved out for him is his alone to occupy. No one could ever replace him.

And you can't help your sniffling!!! You really can't!!!!!!!!!!! He just makes you feel so safe and loved and his face crumbles instantaneously thinking you're upset. He crushes you against his chest in a hug.

He's cooing, petting your head. "Why are you crying? You're my girl, silly."

"I just feel stupid!!!"

You want to articulate how much you adore him. But instead you just crawl into his lap and physically try to manifest your body melting into his. You only go as far as sticking your arms under his armpits and hugging him back as tight as you can before he starts laughing.

"You're not stupid. People fuck and get pregnant all the time."

"Ugh." He's stupidly warm against you. "That's so--I hate how that works."

"Reproduction?"

"Yeah. Like why can't we just keep all the sexiness and skip the babies?" You groan, wiping your eyes. Namjoon flicks your forehead. "Wha--"

"You should check what the tests say now," he reminds you, and you pause. Oh. Right.

You get up and take those few tentative steps to where the tests lie on the bathroom sink. Lean over carefully with both your eyes closed. You take a second to steel yourself. Then you look.

No second line.

You immediately walk back to where Namjoon is cocooned and start throttling his neck.

"How!!!! Dare!!!! You!!!!!!!!! Threaten!!!! My!!!!!!! Uterus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With your stupid stupid sperm!!!!!!!!!!!!"

He's cackling. You almost had a heart attack and he's cackling. Of course he is. Namjoon can be serious when he needs to be, but he's also evil and will make fun of you the second he thinks he can do so without too much repercussion.

"Ow. Ow! Let go of me!"

You leave him with a smack to the head.

"I'm going to kill you," you threaten.

Namjoon stands up with an amused scoff, making use of his height to get you to cower. You don't budge. He sighs, opening his arms.

"I promise not to give you loads upon loads next time," he says.

You cave immediately. Collapsing into his chest a second time, your home. "You better not."

i know this was supposed to be headcannons but something came over me and i just wrote mini fics for it. 

oikawa

why did this get kinda long?

sometimes time gets away from him. the moment he woke up he knew how important this day was, and as much as he liked to pretend he wasn’t, he knew he was on very thin ice with you. he was going to make it better. hw had the perfect plan, al he had to do was get through practice on time and he’d be set! but, sometimes time gets away from him, and he’s too busy to check his phone when his serve is getting shaky.

you believed him when he said he’d be there, but deep down you somehow knew that it was going to be like every other time. after thirty minutes you gave him a call, people started to look at you. at one hour you ordered the most expensive bottle of wine, and shot him more than a few texts. at two hours you ordered food and gave up on trying to contact him, the point was lost. when you finished your meal at 2 1/2 hours you came to the conclusion he wasn’t coming and he had failed to prove that he could keep a promise.

it was 9:45 when he finally checked his phone. teo hours and thirty minutes after he was supposed to meet you at the restaurant. he wasted no time, not even for a shower, and made it to the restaurant in record time. as he was walking in you were walking out.

everything was numb now, when had you become so important to him? you were his entire life and he took complete advantage of all that you did for him. he was so blinded by his ambition that he had forgotten about the person who helped him get where he was. and deep in his heart he knew that there wouldn’t be anyone else, and some how he was going to get you back. hopefully you still loved him enough to et him try.

it was simple, he no longer had feelings for you. and he’d rather not go through the hassle of sitting down and talking it through with you. if you loved home so much than you would understand that he had to leave. but now as he sits in his half empty apartment that the two of you once shared, he isn’t to sure he made the right decision.

he sees you everywhere now, it drives him insane. when he walks around the grocery store he sees the snacks you would always beg him to buy. or when he was getting a new cologne and the first smell that hit him was the perfume you would always wear. and on the plane back to Tokyo that only thing that calmed him was the photo of the two of you that he just happens to “forget” to take out of his wallet. 

maybe he should call you, and hopefully you would give him a chance to make it right. 

atsumu

103 lb. that wasn’t good enough, the girl on the poster that Suna gave Atsumu for his birthday was 98 lb. why wasn’t it working? you worked out everyday, ate 400 calories at best, what was going so wrong? Atsumu didn’t seem to even notice what you were doing and that hurt just a bit more than an aching stomach. what he did notice was the way your hair matted down and got thinner. and the way your skin lost it’s glow. and how the bags under your eyes never seemed to go away. 

and he didn't spare you these observations, or how all he girls you saw at that mall didn’t look like that.

after five month you were diagnosed with an eating disorder, and that was the final straw to your relationship. it was like the skies had parted and you had truly seen what was going on. two hours later you had your best friend pack all of your stuff and you left the apartment. you could no longer kill yourself for this relationship, if atsumu wanted all the the girls in the Ads, than he can have them.

9 months and two relapses later you were finally free form the plague Atsumu had induced on you. you had gotten rid of anything that reminded you of the boy. you went as far as getting a new phone number. you had finally found peace with yourself and your body and no one was going to take that away from you. but clearly getting rid of photo’s of the man wont get rid of the real one. and you’re faced with the harsh reality when you run into him at an engagement party.

he had a year and a half you realize what he had done. and he had, Atsumu was disgusted with how he acted, but never tried to contact you. he knew you didn't want to talk to him and i would just make it worse if he tried. he never truly realized what his words had done to you.

two weeks of complete silence was the last straw of your already rocky relationship with the middle blocker. sending him one more useless text you decided you had, had enough. you weren’t going to fight for this relationship if wasn't going to meet you in the middle. it took you about 30 minutes to get all of the clothes that you had borrowed from him, and put them in a bag. it took you another ten minutes to make it to his house. and one minute to get to his door.

Secondly, WELCOME TO THE FANDOM! We love having y’all here, and I’m honoured that you enjoy my blog and content! Also will comment on your praise on my meta here: THANK YOU. I’m very proud of my meta, and especially the SHEER AMOUNT of it I have produced still boggles me mind. Y’all remember when I was creative and thoughtful??? LOL S4 dragged me hard hahah. I still try to write S4 meta, just not as much as I used to. I like speculating, I truly do, but I have so little free time these days because of the nature of my full time job, so I tend to just... do nothing LOL. I find Fic Reccing really relaxing when you have nearly 800 bookmarks. I’m worried I’m becoming stale though. Oh well. I’m just trying to leave my mark here. <3

Thirdly, HAHHAH Thank you for your compliment about my replies to my asks; I genuinely wish I could get more asks finished every day, but I tend to ramble, as you can see, and I just... don’t finish them in a timely manner. Honestly, it’s a relief when I don’t know something because I can then get the community involved to help me out AND I also get new fic recs that way too LOL. I also draft a TONNE of asks and when I do that, I tend to just keep adding MORE and MORE and MORE so I have to post them, LOL. 

And finally: My fave episode is TAB; it was the episode I studied the closest and my analysis of the trailer is my “claim to fame”. I just love it to bits. It’s the episode I’ve watched the most. S3 is my fave season, and it’s the SEASON I’ve watched the most, no less than 30 or 40 times. Season 2, then 1. I have only seen S4 like 5 times in full total, and horribly enough, TFP is the most-watched episode: I watched the Leak, the airdate, and I went and saw it in the theatres because I already bought the ticket before it aired so I just... didn’t care. And then at least 3 more times in Watchalongs. So yeah :| I still haven’t watched the BluRay I bought, but I hated having an incomplete set so I bought it when it went on sale fore 10 bucks LOL.

But yeah, S1 and 2 I watched together, and I LOVED the show. I joined fandom the summer before S3 aired, and S3 is when I REALLY got into the fandom. I’ve been pretty much here since then, about 7 years I think now. When I saw S4, it was incredulity and disappointment with it. That’s really it. I’m still a fence sitter these days about the series as a whole, but I’m leaning more and more to “no S5 for at least 3 more years” kinda thing. Just... everyone involved seems so disinterested in the show these days, minus Mofftiss to keep pushing the Sherlock™ Brand to make money.

ANYWAY. Thanks for writing to me!! This was such a joy to read when I first got it, and I just... have been really overwhelmed the past few weeks that I just have only been sticking to shorter asks. But I had some free time tonight when I’m answering this, so THANK YOU.

Brickercup: End of the world and I’m stuck with a jackass like you.

First time writing for them lol. But why are they the xmas ship? Green and red? haha. Just some family fluff and some butchubbles too because i can.

She always thought her death would be a remarkable one. It would be seen on tvs across the world as she took her last breath defending the city she loved. They would build statues in her honor and have awards in her name. It would be bloody, cruel and down right horrific. But it would be in the name sake of her duty. 

She could see it now. The swell of the beast, too powerful even for her. Its fist would come crashing down and as she flew to blow it to shreds with her sisters by her side, it would fall and die with a creaky scream as her body floated to the pavement and she smiled knowing she saved the world one last time. 

A worthy death for one of the greatest heroes in the world. 

Instead she was trapped in a deflating bounce house that had too much money on the security deposit to damage it. 

The plastic shrunk slowly. An annoying sound buzzing from it as the walls collapsed fast. You would think that two powerful beings could manage to get out of it, but at last, they were ambushed. 

 The stickiness made her uncomfortable as it caved around her body and of course it didn’t help that her husband's leg was thrown over her stomach. 

“Could you move your leg before I blast it to pieces?” She shouted over the sound of high pitched deflating. 

She could hear him grumble. “If I could I would woman!”

This was all his fault. If he learned how to say no to his darling little five year old, they wouldn't be trapped in the sweltering heat trying to free themselves from this hell hole prison. But no. Little Blair had to get her way. 

“Momma please! Please can I have a pretty pony bouncy castle!” She was floating and batting her eyelashes but Buttercup knew better. 

It was going to be way too hot for an outside birthday but after she flew straight to daddys office and smiled, she was being carried in the arms of her husband and he had already rented the finest bouncy castle around. Not even Princess’s son would have it. 

Plus they had a pool so they could just toss the kids who complained about the heat into it.

“Learn how to say no Jojo.” She said to him as she twisted her arm to lift up the plastic off her face. The giant eye of a blue pony stared at her through the netting making her shiver. 

His face was flush to the ground by now and he pushed himself up, accidentally kicking his wife's shin in the process. “You could have said something! Fuck! Wake her up from her nap and get her ass out here to plug it in.”

“Oh yeah, why don’t you just sonic scream at her and make her cry?” They knew better than to wake up a sleeping Blair. Oh no the temper of a red and green mixed together was more than anyone could handle. 

Buttercup was thankful in this moment that they only had one kid. That’s all they needed right now. 

Brick fell silent at this. “Great now we are stuck.” he mumbled as all the air went out. 

“End of the world and I’m stuck with a jackass like you.” She said as she slapped his ass. 

“Hey paws off the merchandise.” 

“You weren’t saying that a second ago.” She said smugly.  

He turned his head to glare at her. “That was before this dumb thing decided to eat us alive.” He frowned. “Ruined the fucking mood.” He mumbled the last part. 

“Quit being a baby and crawl Brick. I think I’m gonna pass out and you’re closer to the door.” She tried to fan herself. This is the karma she got for making out with her husband in this thing. To be fair, she was making sure it blew up properly and he tackled her, don’t get it twisted. 

“We have powers and yet I am being humiliated by some god damn toy!” She could see the red spark igniting in from his fist.

Buttercup moved again, arm scraping across the bright pink flooring. “You’re the one who got this and unless you wanna tell our daughter why her pony castle is blasted to shreds, you are going to get us out of here or so help me.” 

He mumbled something she couldn't make out and finally his leg was off of her. Thank goodness. He managed to crawl towards the door using one of his arms to hold up the plastic and the other to guide him to freedom. She followed after him making sure he didn’t stop and accidentally slam his ass into her face. 

He reached the door first, eye widening as he stared at the entrance to this horror show. 

“Uh babe?” 

“What?” She still needed to finish cutting the fruit and getting the tables set up. 

“Did you lock us in here?” 

She finally managed to crawl to the door next to him. “Why the fuck would I-.” Her eyes narrowing on the door. “Brick?”

“Yeah.” He raised his brows.

“The zipper.” 

“I know.”

“It’s on the outside.”

“I can see that.” 

“Then why would you ask if I zipped it?” Her voice was full of confusion. 

They looked at each other then back to the door. “If you didn’t zip it.” 

“And you didn’t either.” Buttercup’s eyes widened. 

“Then who?” Their voices were in unison. 

Then they heard it. That sweet innocent giggle. All of a sudden the face of their five year old birthday girl was pressed against the door. Her smile was blinding and those dazzling red eyes sparkled with mischief. 

“We got you mamma and daddy.” She smiled proudly. 

“Blair, honey. Did you unplug the blow up?” Buttercup asked sweetly and she nodded her head, whipping her black hair that was pulling into ponytails. 

“We thought you were napping.” Brick said. His face became scrunched with confusion. “Wait what do you mean we?”

In a flash their daughter was picked up by a pair of arms as she sprouted another laugh. 

“She means me duh.” The voice came and Buttercup tilted her head up to see a wicked grin and a pair of deep emerald eyes. The same devious smirk was plastered on his face. 

Buttercup gritted her teeth. “Butch you have five seconds to let us out or I swear-” 

“Ohh I’m so scared. Look Ruby, mom's mad.” He snickered to the little girl who was trying to hide her own laugh.

“Shes mad at you Uncle Butch, this was your idea.” Blair giggled. 

“Hey don’t rat me out. Tell them it was the wind.” 

Brick glared at him. “Don’t teach my kid how to lie.” 

“You’re right bro, she’ll learn it from the king himself.” He winked. 

Buttercup matched her husband's expression. “Blair, be a good girl and let us out or no cake.” 

Those bright red eyes held fear as the threat of no cake came. She grabbed her uncle’s face, tears brimming her water line. “No cake!” She gasped and flew out of Butch’s arms to the door, pulling desperately on the zipper. “I want my cake!” Blair practically growled and soon her parents were free. 

Buttercup scooped up her little girl and brought her towards the house, meanwhile Brick was just fuming at his younger brother. 

“What the hell man?” 

“That's what you deserve for being nasty.” Butch glared at Brick. 

Brick rolled his eyes and pushed past him to plug it back in. The huge ponies came to life as they began to fill with air. 

“Oh please like you wouldn’t do that same thing.” 

Butch fake scoffed. “I wouldn’t. My wife would be nake-”

“SHUT UP!”

“I’m sorry momma.” Blair smiled softly. “But Uncle Butch made me.” She defended. 

Buttercup only laughed and kissed her head. “I know sweetheart. Now your dad is gonna set your castle up and i'm going to finish up in the kitchen.”

“What should I do?” Blair asked. 

Buttercup looked over at Brick and Butch before grinning.

“I can’t believe you were stuck.” Bubbles laughed as she placed the last of the snacks on the table. 

Buttercup only rolled her eyes before popping a strawberry in her mouth. “Well it’s all your husband’s fault.” 

Another giggle came from the blonde. “Oh I'm sure you’ll find a way to get him back.” She waved her hand before handing a berry to her one year old, Beck.

“Oh I did.” Buttercup laughed and Bubbles shrugged. 

“HEY RUBY PUT ME DOWN!” A shout came from outside and the girls looked to see Butch being held up by his niece. 

She gave a laugh before throwing him down into the pool. A giant splash coming from the water as she turned and skipped towards her dad acting like she had done nothing. 

“See, got him back.” Bubbles said as she watched her husband claw his way out of the pool with a scowl. 

“Serves him right, I almost died.” 

Bubbles picked up her baby carrying him over to the window to see Butch chasing Blair and Brick on the ground laughing. “Well Butch caught you two so he probably wanted to mess with you.” 

“It’s not like we were doing anything! Besides, you two would do way worse, you nasties.” Buttercup made a fake throwing up sound as she watched Blair throw Butch back into the pool. “I should have her throw you in too.” 

Bubbles slapped her arm playfully. “You wouldn’t have your daughter throw a pregnant woman.” She gestured to her baby bump. 

“Like I said, nasty. Butch couldn’t wait five minutes before knocking you up again, geez.” 

Bubbles smirked and opened up the sliding glass door. “Blair darling come through your mother in the pool she’s being mean.” 

“Throw your dad in.” Buttercup yelled as she brought out the cake. “Im busy.” 

They heard another yell and another splash. “And there goes Brick.” Bubbles laughed. 

“That's my girl.”

I’m sorry to be a downer right now, but we put down my childhood dog today. It was definitely his time but I was not nearly as ready as I thought I was. I’ve been crying off and on all day. I just, could use something to cheer me up a little bit? I don’t care what it is, something fluffy you’ve had in the back of your head would be fine. A couple of sentences about one of our boys doing something goofy, I mean literally anything. I’m just so tired and sad right now.

oh friend i’m so sorry to hear that :( there are few things worse than losing a pet. if i could i’d give you the biggest hug - or, like, pat on the back if you aren’t a hugger. please please please remember to drink your water and eat a good meal and let yourself grieve. i know its not much help, but i’m here for you

i really wanted to reply as soon as i got this message, so i thought i’d think up some headcanons on how a couple of the boys would comfort a partner going through this … i hope thats alright!

hinata would probably cry with you, and after awhile become so desperate to see your smile that he’d do anything for it - make goofy faces, pull up the funniest memes, he may even resort to tickling you if that’s what it takes. you may be annoyed by him but he truly means well - at the end of the day he’s good at cheering you up at least a little bit 

nishinoya brings you all the snacks you could ever desire. seriously, he basically goes on a shopping spree at a gas station - he brings candy, cookies, chips, ice cream, he may even stop at your favorite fast food place on the way home. and he definitely makes sure you’re drinking plenty of water. noya believes in food is comfort, but he can’t help himself and will stuff his face with the snacks you leave over - so don’t leave them unattended 

kuroo, as a dog person, would probably be really sad along with you. he’d let you grieve, probably encourage you to cry if you want to. but he’d also tell you everything you need to hear - probably a lot of things that make you cry even more. he’d probably baby you, honestly - brush your hair for you, get you anything you need, treat you almost carefully. but as your emotions grow a bit stronger he’d encourage you and hold you up if you need it - he’d just be a great partner, honestly

Mammon: Guys have any of you heard from Kenzie today? I've been texting her and I even sent her a meme and she hasn't responded. I'm worried. 

Mammon: Also DO NOT add Lucifer to this chat 

Beel: Maybe she's in the kitchen

Asmo: Oh no! I hope my dear sweet Kenzie is okay! 

Asmo: Also I highly doubt she's in the kitchen Beel, you would have seen her. 

Mammon: c'mon guys this is serious what if she got sick of us and went back to the human world 😭

Belphie: she probably fell asleep watching something….

Lucifer: I caught Mammon running in the hall and made him tell me what was going on. He has made it clear to me that everyone is worried about Kenzie. 

Lucifer: Even though you are worried about her, barging into her room uninvited is not only extremely rude but also an extremely stupid idea. Because of that, I assume that this was all Mammon's idea. What we need to do is be respectful, humans are fragile.

Asmo: We get it Lucifer! Relax! I know what's going on with Kenzie. Everyone can relax I know exactly what she needs~

Mammon: Asmo you keep your hands off of Kenzie or I'll uh… I'll beat you up! 😤

Levi: Fight fight fight!

Lucifer: Enough! All of you! I'm going to Kenzie's room right now to get to the bottom of this

I glance over at my phone sitting on the nightstand, lighting up with yet another notification from Mammon. Maybe I should respond, he seems worried. I just don’t have the energy for communication right now. I sigh and pull my blanket up over my shoulder, returning my focus back to the screen. I’m not even sure what’s playing now. I’ve been napping on and off all day. After a few minutes the show ends and the message on the tv displays “Are you still watching?”. I grumble and sit up, hunched over on the edge of my bed. My face feels dirty and my hair is definitely a mess. I’m wearing a t-shirt that’s 3 sizes too big for me and comfy sleep pants. “Self care day” I keep telling myself but I’m not really taking care of myself am I. Oh well. Maybe it’s time to take a shower and change my clothes. I stand up slowly and turn off my DevilStation. As the console chimes its shutdown sounds a soft knock at my door makes me freeze. There is no way I’m answering the door like this, regardless, I don’t want to be on Lucifer’s shit list if it’s him. I walk over to the door and put my hand around the knob, leaning my ear against it. “Who is it...?” My voice is a bit gravely, I guess I haven’t talked all day. 

“It’s me..” A deep, smooth voice comes from the other side of the door. 

“Beel? What are you doing here?” I relax a little at his voice, happy it isn’t Lucifer. 

“Um.. can I just come in please?” I hear the wrinkle of a snack wrapper, of course he brought snacks. I think for a moment and open the door slowly. Even though Beel towers over me he very gently waddles in with an armful of snacks. “I.. I brought you some snacks. And I didn’t even eat most of them on the way here!” He said very proudly. 

“Oh thank you Beel. You didn’t have to..” I reach up and attempt to tame my unkempt hair. Beel walks in and sets the snacks on my coffee table, he grabs a bag of chips and turns to me with his big goofy grin. I can’t help but smile a little at him. I hug myself and sway a little. “So… did you just come here to bring me snacks?”

“Oh! No. I came here to tell you that Lucifer is coming to check on you and well.. Mammon is like.. Really upset. He’s super worried.” Beel said between fists full of chips. My back stiffens and I look over at my phone. I should have answered those texts. Fuck. 

“I can’t have Lucifer and Mammon seeing me like this! They’ll be so worried and.. And..” I pace a few steps, feeling the anxiety well up in my chest. I stop and look up, Beel is standing very close to me. How did he move so fast? Wasn’t he just eating chips? I open my mouth to say something but before I can get any sounds out Beel sets his large hand on my shoulder. He smiles down at me, his hand was firm but comforting. 

“We just really care about you Kenzie. Lucifer can be really intimidating but he really does care.” Beel wraps his arms around me in a surprisingly gentle hug. He doesn’t linger too long and pulls back from me with both of his hands on my shoulders. “Just be honest with him okay? I know you will, that’s who you are… but I just gotta say it.” He takes a step back and wanders over to the coffee table to pick out another snack. He walks to the door, giving me a smile and a nod before walking out. As soon as the door closes I sigh heavily. What Beel said to me repeated in my head over and over. They really care huh. I didn’t mean to make them worry this much. What am I going to tell Lucifer?

I go to my dresser and pull out some clean clothes, changing quickly before going to my vanity to try and run a brush through my knotted hair. I quickly give up and throw my hair up in a messy bun. As I’m just tucking the rest of my hair into the scrunchy a loud heavy knock at my door startles me. That has got to be Lucifer. I look in the mirror and scrunch up my face at the image. I don’t look as bad as I did before but definitely not the picture of mental health. “Coming!” I say loudly, walking over to the door. I pause before I grab the handle, a bit of anxiety in the back of my mind, I shake my head and open the door. Sure enough Lucifer is standing in front of me. Even with his eyebrows furrowed with worry his presence made me a bit nervous, I feel my face begin to get warm. I’m probably blushing. As always he is dressed very nicely, even his casual clothes consist of some kind of suit or uniform. 

“Kenzie.. Why haven’t you answered any of our messages..” Lucifer’s voice was deep and powerful. Everything he says sounds important just by the way he speaks. I take a step back from my door as he invites himself in. “It’s very important that we maintain open communication in this house. You are a human in Devildom afterall.. It can be dangerous here.”

“Well I uh.. I was just..” I start to make up a lie but Beel’s words ring in my ears. ‘Just be honest with him’ I know Beel is right. I have to be honest with him. “I.. am not having a very good.. Um.. a very good mental health day Lucifer..” The look on Lucifer’s face softens and he pulls me into a hug very suddenly. He holds me close and rests his cheek on my hair. Unsure of what I really should do I slowly wrap my arms around him. 

“I’m sorry you’ve had a bad day… I wish I would have known sooner.. I could have helped you.” His voice was suddenly gentle and kind, not stern and disapproving like it normally was. It was like Lucifer was a different person. I guess I’ve never really seen a soft side of him before. He’s holding me tight to his body, my heart starts to race a bit and I feel my face get hot. I nuzzle into his chest and tighten my grip on him. I can feel tears starting to well up and a lump in my throat. I really don’t want to cry on him but it feels right. We stand in place for what feels like an hour. I manage to choke back most of my tears. Finally I loosen my grip and bring a hand up to wipe my eye but Lucifer already has a gentle hand on my cheek. I look up into his eyes as he wipes a tear with his thumb. He wipes my other cheek and leans in slowly, and presses his lips to my forehead, lingering for just a second before pulling away. I open my mouth to say something but the words catch in my throat and I just shake my head a little. “You sure are blushing a lot for someone that just cried on my chest.” He straightens up and chuckles a little. “I hope you feel like you can come to me with this kind of thing more often. Or that you find a more healthy way to deal with these feelings.” He strokes my cheek with the back of his hand before turning to the door. “Oh and be prepared. The rest of my brothers have expressed wanting to make sure you’re okay. I know it’s a lot… but they mean well. If they are bugging you too much don’t hesitate to call.” With that he walks out.

Brothers Support Club (7)

Beel: I went and saw Kenzie. I brought her snacks but she didn’t eat any. 

Beel: I think she’s just really sad. She looked like she was gonna cry. 

Lucifer: I too went and visited Kenzie. I think we need to do something nice for her to cheer her up. 

Mammon: First time I’m ever agreeing with Lucifer on something. Holy shit.

Mammon: UGH I wish she would have said something earlier. It hurts me that she’s been just suffering all day alone and none of us tried to help. We just sent her messages. I feel bad.

Asmo: Mammon actually feels bad for once in his life? Can I get a reality check. 

Mammon: Shut up Asmo. You can’t even pretend to care about anyone other than yourself

Lucifer: Anyway let’s figure out something to help her. Put your differences aside for day. 

Satan: I have an idea. 

Satan: Let’s each of us set up an activity to do. That way we won’t overwhelm her. And from my reading into mental health issues a great way to deal with a “bad day” is with distractions and activities. 

Lucifer: That is actually a really good idea Satan.

Levi: oh damn Lucifer is complimenting Satan now. What’ll happen next!

Asmo: OH MY GOD THIS IS PERFECT SATAN YOU’RE A BEAUTIFUL GENIUS~

Asmo: I have the PERFECT thing for Kenzie. Oh my gosh I have to prepare

Levi: Yeah I like this idea. I’ve been wanting to play Mononokeland with her more..

Belphie: I’ll help her get a good night’s sleep tonight. And don’t worry Mammon not in that way. 

Mammon: You better not. I’m her main guy and you all know it 

Asmo: Yes Mammon we all know you have a hard on for Kenzie. You’re just too chicken to actually do anything about it. 

Mammon: What! Pff not even! How could I even have feelings for a human jeez. 

Lucifer: Yes it is a good idea to do these separate.

As soon as Lucifer left I sat on my bed with a plop. I touched my forehead where Lucifer had kissed me, I found myself smiling thinking about it. I could still smell his cologne lingering on me. It was musky but not overpowering. There was also a hint of the black tea he’s often drinking. I pull the collar of my shirt up to my nose to hopefully get a better smell as I reach for my D.D.D. I clear my notifications and open up a chat to Mammon just as I receive one from Levi.
