The unaabe are the indigenous race of Undairimsh, the large moon on which they live. They are a species of mammal-esque frog-like mushroom-folk that populated much of the surface and underground of the planetoid for millennia. Most of the unaabe are now modernized and acculturated to the colonizer way of life, though recent movements to celebrate the old way have seen recent and wide-reaching support.
Here is some of the traditional regalia designed for Felix by Tealix, which were inspired in part by their own regalia. They drew from their own experience as an east coast indigenous person to write Felix’s character and to design the custom species. The clothes above are made from a fibrous substance derived from local flora. They incorporate preserved flowers, leaves, and wooden or clay beads, as well as semi-precious stones and metals as decoration.

THISS!!! I love his personal style but then again I also dress this way
See chola/cholo chicano/chicana style was made by indigenous people, popularized by black and brown people in the 80s , there’s nothing Latin about it, it was made by indigenous people. (Yes native Mexicans are Native American)
Same with “Latina makeup” ain’t nothing Latin about it, indigenous women have been doing that makeup style for years. It’s a form of war paint.
Latin and Spaniards colonized Mexico, Mexico used to be a part of the americas.
Cuban, Mexican, Aztec, Chicano, Dominican are all Indigenous. There’s even indigenous Brazilians
Spain, Latin America aren’t Mexican. They just colonized Mexico and started breeding so Spanish became the language.
Mexicans are indigenous Native American actually.
Each native group is different but the same, the language is different and the names of food but it’s the same.
Tacos are Native American because the native groups of what’s now Mexico and Navajo created them on fry bread
Native languages sound like modern day Mexican Spanish.
When natives first came to America it was of East Asian south Asian and Siberian descent (it’s why we look Asian now) but we created our own cultures then Mexico “broke off” and Spanish invaded.
But Mexicans are still native. It’s why Mexicans and natives are like 🤞🏽
Food, languages, music, culture, makeup, clothing styles. One in the same. Even our features look the same.

Justine Woods | I love you as much as all the beads in the universe: a garment-based inquiry into re-stitching alternative worlds of love. 2021
Top: “We carry our homeland(s) close to our heart. (front view); Middle: “We carry our homeland(s) close to our heart. (trout filleting detail)”; Bottom: “Our bodies our stitched with 193 years of diasporic love (back detail of beaded Drummond island.)”
love you as much as all the beads in the universe: a garment-based inquiry into re-stitching alternative worlds of love “engages with a praxis of decolonial love through garment construction and beadwork as a practice-based method of inquiry. My research centres decolonial love as methodology with the expressed purpose to physically and conceptually re-stitch alternative worlds that are grounded in ethical practices and based on respect, empathy, reciprocity, consent and love. Engaging in decolonial love as praxis, the artistic production of my MDes thesis re-frames pattern drafting, garment construction and stitching methods within decolonial and relationship-based contexts. This MDes thesis prioritizes, and foregrounds, all of the relationships that make up my identity as an Aabitaawikwe of Penetanguishene, Ontario and centres these relationships as praxis towards building alternative worlds of love that honour, celebrate and mobilize Indigenous internationalism, intercultural solidarity, co-resistance and liberation.”
Justine’s research and design practice centres Indigenous fashion technologies and garment-making as practice-based methods of inquiry toward re-stitching alternative worlds that prioritize Indigenous resurgence and liberation. Her work foregrounds all of the relationships that make up her identity as a Penetanguishene Aabitaawikwe; an identity she has inherited from her family and her Aabitaawizininiwag Ancestors.

If you would like to help support Palestinians living in the West Bank, I seriously recommend checking out Nöl Collective! They operate out of Ramallah, and in their own words, "work with family-run sewing workshops, artisan studios, and women’s cooperatives across Palestine who carry on generational traditions of weaving, embroidering, and tailoring. Our garments and accessories are co-created with this creative network, supporting and celebrating local production, talent, and craftsmanship."
They offer shipping to lots of places, and their clothes are some of the most soft and comfortable stuff I own.

Early next month, a prominent agency is looking for models.
Since I have slight experience, I'm tempted to participate in their search, however, I would need to touch up my roots, get more volume boosting hair products, thrift some cute pants, arrange transportation, etc. I would also need to email them to see if I need to bring anything besides my measurements- like maybe a resume.
It happens shortly after I get paid again. I may be able to swing it depending on what's happening.
They might be able to at least give me some constructive criticism regarding poses, how I carry myself, and such. I might ask the modeling reddit for advice on fashion shows to watch for inspiration regarding that as well. Maybe they can help me figure out how to cultivate more confidence for my audition.
I should be focusing on research related to my writing and of course my personal health goals but it would be nice to somehow find the time/resources for this too.
Modeling is fun! I also enjoy the idea of this particular theme. It involves all Indigenous designers.
This is the dumbest thing to be hung up on, but I am slightly insecure about my body acne right now. Maybe they could tell me how to clear it up and minimize the scars. I keep forgetting what products I wanted to try for it. I feel motivated to push the issue with my primary doctor next time I go in. They might have a solution.
I'm only worried about it now because I looked at some of the models this agency features and they all show some skin. Maybe whatever they'd have me wear wouldn't show off my problem areas. I don't know.
Even if I don't get accepted, I would still be showing people like me enjoy having access to cool clothes that fit nice too.
