But we aren't really seeing all that much in terms of stakes getting built up here. We have a leap from Archie on Brian Stone handing Betty a frat pin to two steps ahead into presumptions of marriage? The terms of play mystify me totally.

Okay so here we are... never thought I would have ended up saying this under a dog names' post but anyway: "Bella figa" can be a slang vulgar catcalling sentence but also a very bad way to compliment a woman from a man (unless it's a joke between people who know each other well and like to play that expression -especially between 2 women tho). It translates as "beautiful hottie" but it's stronger that that cause the main meaning of "figa" = pussy (Poland, please... lol). "Figa" has different slang uses: from a synonym of "hot" as mentioned ("part of the female body for the whole female body" is the kind-of-reasoning behind it), to an interjection/exclamation similar to "cazzo/minchia". It's pretty common especially in Milan/Lombardy areas, so much that people from other cities may mock Milanesi by using that exclamation with the right accent. "Figata" (or "ficata", originates from "figa" as well, but it's more of an adjective/exclamation for something really cool (ofc slang use only). You may hear "Figata!" or "Che figata!" as to mean "Cool!/So cool!/Fantastic!" to comment a news or situation.

Then we have: "Essere figo/a" translates as "to be cool" ("fico/a" is often more used in this situation. Please notice "fica" and "figa" are synonyms and can be used to refer to the same feminine part of the body. I think "fica" and all that rotates around it, is more used in the central/southern part of Italy). If someone says, eg. I'm cooler than you = Sono più figo/a/fico/a di te. "Farsi fico/a/figo/a" means.... to get above oneself, to make yourself look cool and be seen for this. We also have the word "tirarsela", which means the same but is not vulgar.

My intended focus what the response to my response- the immediate recognition of a personal error? Cause like. I answer the wrong email thread constantly at work, to the point that my coworkers have a very distinct tone when broaching it to me

So to be clear, I was laughing at a man with a disability, but not cause of his disability, or the error he made BECAUSE of his disability, but just. Like. The delivery of his exasperation. Like... "Ah,fuck". A mood I can appreciate. You know

And I COULD have changed details of the story so that it happened with someone who DIDNT have a disability- pretended it was dark or something, or that it was a stranger wandering into the wrong area from inside- but that felt kinda shitty? To erase that there was a guy who was disabled who made a relatable mistake in public?

Like I could totally be wrong here, please correct me if I am, but I felt like avoiding any social contact or association with people posessing physical disabilities would be worse in the long run, so I just. Wrote what happened how it happened
