What is Spiritual Warfare and how to overcome it with the help of God?
• Spiritual warfare is the idea that there's a battle going on between good and evil forces. In Christianity, this means a fight between God and His angels against the devil and his demons. It mainly happens in our minds, hearts, and spirits. It’s about resisting bad thoughts, temptations, and influences that go against what God wants for us. Though we believe that Jesus has indeed already defeated Satan by dying on the cross and coming back to life, the enemy still tries to lead us to sin in order to push us away from God, thus spiritual warfare.
• “Symptoms” vary since the devil attacks you where it hurts the most, to make you as vulnerable as possible; but here are some of the most common ones:
- believing that your not worthy of having a relationship with God or talking to God therefore feeling the need to distance yourself from him
-self destructive / sabotage / harm temptations
-paranoia / overthinking
-strong headaches / body aches
-temptations towards sin such as lust, gluttony, laziness, anger.. etc, depends on your weaknesses
-self hatred & self doubt / doubt in faithfulness
-hopelessness, fear, anxiety
-random depressive moods & replaying bad memories … the list goes on!
• Living a life more aligned with God’s will is seen as a threat to Satan and his purposes, leading to increased attempts to discourage or derail one’s faith journey. With a deeper relationship with God often comes a greater sense of purpose and mission, attracting more challenges and obstacles from evil forces trying to prevent one from fulfilling God’s plans. Our Father allows these intensified battles to refine and strengthen our faith, helping us rely more on Him and grow spiritually.
• Here are some bible verses that may help you during those tough times battling spiritual warfare :
-Corinthians 10:13
- Psalm 91
-Ephesians 6:11-18
-Isaiah 54:17
-Galatians 5:17-26
- Peter 5:8-9
-Romans 8:37-39
-Luke 10:19
-James 4:7
-John 16:33
-Deuteronomy 3:22
-Matthew 4:10-11
• Let me know if you’d be interested in me posting those verses and talking about some of them with you guys, sort of like a bible study kind of thing. It’d be a pleasure ;)
Have a blessed day 💞💓👼🏻

When Jesus was anointed with oil by the sinful woman, He was moved with compassion and forgave the woman of her sins (Luke 7:36 – 50). In other words, what really happened was, she was released of her guilt and shame, she didn't have to carry the weight of her past. Christ freed her from disgrace. And the same holds true for us today. Christ has set us free. Free from guilt; free from disgrace; and free from shame. Remember, Satan’s greatest desire is that you remain in bondage, and be kept from being free in Christ. He wants you to believe that " you can never be free from your past, your sins are too grave and you can never be forgiven." But that's his ploy to oppress you and keep you in bondage, bombarding you with thoughts of shame and regret; thoughts of being disgraced. In times such as these, remember the Word, “Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated.” (Isaiah 54:4) Since Jesus has washed you with His precious blood, you have been made righteous. You can be free knowing, He has given you a clean slate, and you are free to pursue righteousness.

Adultery Starts in The Heart
MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK
=========================
+ Galatians 3:26 For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.
=========================
VERSE OF THE DAY
========================
+ James 4:4 You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
=========================
** SAY THIS BEFORE YOU READ; HERE’S SOME CHRISTIAN TRUTHS **
I AM CLEAN
I AM RIGHTEOUS
I AM NOT COMMITTING ADULTERY
I AM FOCUSED
********************************
THOUGHTS:
=======================
What is adultery? It means to cheat on the one you're married to. I am not one to sit and point the finger at any sin anyone has done or is doing because the bible says do not judge, and this is not why we are here today. We are here to understand that when we give our lives to Christ, we are married to him. We are one with Christ.
•Isaiah 54:5 For your Maker is your husband, the Lord of hosts is his name; and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer, the God of the whole earth he is called.
•2 Corinthians 11:2 For I feel a divine jealousy for you, since I betrothed you to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ.
 • Ephesians 5:29-30 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones.
This verse tells us that we are one flesh with the lord, that we are members of HIS body, that we must present ourselves as a pure virgin, and that he is our maker and redeemer, and a lot of times, this term gets lost, or we don’t understand it. Still, we can't take pieces of the word of God and say this is what I will follow, and this is what I won't follow, and in his word, because we are married to him, when we sin, we are committing adultery.
The word today says when we are friends with the world and we do things of the world; we are committing adultery. We are creating enmity against God. What is enmity? A deeply rooted hatred or animosity because we have decided to leave him to be with what we think we need, which is the world and friends. We don’t need the comforts of the world. We need him. He will give us over and beyond what we need if we submit to him; we become the enemy when we choose the world over God.
1 John 2:15-16 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.
It says here, do not love the world or anything in it because if we love it, our love for God isn’t in us; it can't be. We can't love two people, and many people think they can be friends with the world. We must have a relationship with God because what we see going on is we are told to love who we love and how we want to love, and we can be friends with this world , AND WE CANT.
We must love only God, and we can't do both because everything in the world is the lust of the flesh and pride of life. Everything in this world makes you want to do the opposite of the word of God, and when we do this, we are adulterous. We aren’t being faithful, but to stay faithful to God, we must read our word, pray, meditate, fast, and dwell in him; if we do none of these things, we start to lose sight, we start to recede many of us say we are here to love, but we aren’t, we are here to worship God in spirit and truth.
Romans 8:7-8 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.
If the flesh governs our mind, it is hostile to God. That’s why every day we need to ask God to renew our mind because if we don’t, our mind won't submit to Him; it will refuse to do anything because we have allowed ourselves to submit to other things; we can't please God as long as we are in the flesh and shortly, we won't have the desire to please him at all. We will be so eager to do what 1 John says we will be too busy filling our eyes and our flesh with things that we think matter but don’t; if you have committed adultery in your relationship with the lord, come back to him, come back to and seek him with your whole heart, and let go of the things that caused you to pull away from him.
Adultery normally occurs when one person finds someone more attractive or someone is offering them something their spouse isn’t; at first, it starts exciting, it starts great, but after a while, it becomes dull because what the two are looking for is something the other one can only give the other for only a short time, but honestly, adultery starts first in the heart, it’s a longing for something they can’t have or something they know they shouldn’t have.
James 2:10-11 For whoever keeps the whole law and stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. 11 For he who said, “You shall not commit adultery,” also said, “You shall not murder. “If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker.
We, as believers, know we can’t and shouldn’t participate in the things of this world, but when we do, we are breaking all the laws. We are guilty of it all, so when we sin, we aren’t just breaking the law of this or that, but every law, and we have to live a holy life, not a life of sin every day we have an opportunity to submit more and more ourselves to Christ. Still, we must decide to do that.
***Today, we learn that when we sin, we are committing adultery because we are one with Christ, because when we become a believer, we are His, our body, mind, and soul, and when we seek other things to take His place, or we find other things to desire and want we are replacing our love for him with the love of something else, and nothing in this world will love us like Him.
We also learn that once we break one law, we have broken them all, yes we will stumble, but when we do, we must understand that our sins cause us to have a wedge between God and us, just like a marriage when adultery happens trust is broken, a lot of times we don’t get what we want or need because God must see that he can trust us with the smallest thing like obedience and today, if we are still committing adultery, ask God to change your heart and to give you a heart of flesh, and not a heart of stone. ©Seer~ Prophetess Lee

PRAYER
========================
Heavenly Father, thank you for today; we ask you for grace and mercy. Help us not to commit adultery, help us focus on you, and give you every part of our heart. We love you so much and thank you for being our lord. Every day, you give us a chance to live for you. Lord, help us not just give up but push forward. Lord, we are sorry for everything we have done and praise you for good and bad. We thank you for allowing us to give you everything! In Jesus' Name Amen

It takes every ounce of fight in your body not to look across the courtroom at Aaron. He's right there, seated beside his lawyers. You've never been so glad he has a law degree of his own. He made his legal team that much stronger.
You're sitting in the second row. Aaron's female lawyer, Natasha, had run into you in the bathroom just before the court was reconvened.
___
"Sit in the second row," She had murmured, careful to run the tap while she spoke. "The first row looks too eager. But it's your dad, so the second row is okay. Give a brief statement after the verdict is read. Keep it short."
"Thank you," You whispered back.
"He wants to know if you ever heard from Paul."
"I did hear from Paul. I was wondering if Isaiah ever reached out-"
Someone else entered the bathroom, and you forced your face into a scowl.
"Isaiah 54:17, liars and wretches find themselves hated by all, as do murderers and those who would defend them."
"I'm sorry if I upset you," Natasha replied curtly. "I hope you find your peace."
You waited a few minutes, washing your hands thoroughly a second time, before you left the room.
___
Aaron frowned at Natasha's words. It had been a while since he'd read the bible, but that verse sounded distinctly unlike Isaiah.
He whispered something to one of their paralegals, and she nodded and walked briskly from the room. She returned a few minutes later with a bible.
You heard the pages flicking as everyone in the room waited for the judge and jury to return.
Isaiah 54:17. He traced along the page, underlining the verse with his finger.
No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
Aaron's lips lifted into the smallest possible smile, undetectable to anyone in the room as he faced forward, his back to the stands.
You remembered the numbers you had memorized, and the feeling of hope that had buoyed you through the last few weeks of the trial when you realized the verse.
1, 4, 2, 5.
honey, first things first, don't try this. it was risky enough as it is. now isn't the time to play spies, but if we did, i'd meet you in corinth. i needed to tell you that i love you. i wish you'd been a rose by any other name. stay safe. stay smart. god, there's so much i want to tell you. i'm okay. stay the course. take care of yourself. i love you, i love you, i love you. don't try and reach me. i know you're smart enough to get away with it. i know you know you're smart enough two. but don't risk it. burn this in a fiveplace
First things first: one.
Corinth.
I love you, four times.
Smart enough two.
Burn this in a fiveplace.
One, Corinth, four, two, five.
1 Corinthians 4:2-5.
Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.
"All rise."
You're startled out of your thoughts, and quickly stand as the judge and jury enter the room. You desperately try to read the jury's facial expressions, but there's no information in their stern expressions. It had taken less than two hours to reach a verdict. A quick verdict could have gone either way.
"Please be seated," the judge replied.
There was a minute or so of creaky chairs, rustling as everyone settled in. The charging of flash bulbs as journalists jostled for the best spot to capture Aaron's reaction. You wondered if any of the zoom lenses were aimed at you. In any case, you'd have to measure your reaction.
"Have you reached a verdict?"
"We have, your Honour."
"What say you?"
"We the jury, in the case of The State of Virginia versus Aaron Hotchner, find the defendant not guilty of the charge of obstruction of justice."
"And of the charge of second degree murder, as per titles 18.2 through 18.32 of the Code of Virginia?"
"We the jury, in the case of The State of Virginia versus Aaron Hotchner, find the defendant not guilty of the charge of second degree murder."
There were dozens of flashes, and the journalists leapt to their feet, frantically taking notes, already asking questions.
"Order! Thank you jury, for your service. Court is adjourned."
Aaron shook the hands of each of his lawyers, and crossed the aisle to shake hands with the prosecution. You left the courtroom, trying to spin a statement.
You stood on the stairs outside the courtroom, collecting yourself.
"Are you the daughter of the dead guy?"
Wow, you thought. So much for tact.
"I am."
"Are you planning to give a statement?"
"Yes, and I'll take a few questions."
The journalist whistled for his cameraman, unfortunately attracting the attention of the other journalists who were coming down the stairs.
"Wait! NBC," A journalist cried as she rushed towards you. "We can pay for an exclusive."
You shook your head. "If it's all the same to you, I'd prefer not to sell my story."
You took a deep breath and ran your hands lightly over your hair.
"Joining us now from the courtroom steps, where the verdict has just been handed down, we meet with the victim's daughter."
"Good afternoon," You started. "I apologize if I misspeak, as you can see, I don't have an attorney, and I'm doing this on my own. I'd like to give a brief statement, and I have a few minutes for questions afterwards, but I'd like to get through this first."
The female journalist nods, extending her microphone in your direction.
"I imagine that many of you will expect me to be disappointed with the verdict reached today. In fact, I'm relieved that I'll be able to close this chapter of my life. My father used to be close with Mr. Hotchner, and whatever may have happened in his final moments, I don't believe he would have wanted his friend to end up in jail. That being said, from this moment onwards, I would very much like not to be associated with my father, as we had been estranged for some time, and it has been made clear to me that he caused significant pain to our community."
"Have you heard that Mrs. Hotchner, who testified against her husband, is expecting a child?"
"I hadn't heard that. I wish her the best."
"You've opted not to attend most of the trial. What changed your mind about today?"
"I'd rather hear if my father was murdered or just killed for myself, rather than having to hear it through the grapevine like everything else."
"Were you in correspondence with the prosecution at any time throughout this trial?"
"No, I wasn't called upon, as I hadn't spoken to my father for some time. I did go in for a number of information-gathering interviews with the police, but that was primarily in connection to the case they're building against my father, which I am unable to speak on."
"Is there any truth to the rumours that yourself and Mr. Hotchner were engaged in an affair?"
"No," You said bluntly. "I believe Mr. Hotchner addressed that question in one of his statements to the jury."
"Did you have any relationship with Agent Hotchner?"
You sighed heavily. "These questions have already been explored over the course of the trial. Does anyone have anything original to ask?"
The journalists cleared out, having exhausted the lines of questioning that would have yielded anything exciting, controversial, or new.
You heard your name, and turned around. One of your friends smiled widely at you.
"It's good to see you out of the house," She smiled.
"It's good to be out of the house," You replied.
"Can you summarize everything? I feel like I'm still wading through all of the rumours and the lawyer jargon. What happened?"
She reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone. "Wait, I just got a text. Can you read it to me? I forgot my glasses."
You looked at her phone screen, where she'd started typing out a message to herself.
I'm wearing a wire. Don't say anything incriminating.
"It just says that your boyfriend will meet you at the deli at five so you can pick up dinner," You replied.
"Thank you," She smiled, and you saw the relief in her eyes.
"I'm not sure, I was reading everything in the newspapers so I have no idea what actually happened in the courtroom. It seems like my dad's a serial killer and it just happened that Mr. Hotchner and his unit were assigned to the case. My dad pulled a gun when they caught him at a crime scene and Mr. Hotchner shot him."
"And all the affair stuff?"
You could tell your friend was asking the questions she'd been told to ask. She would have asked about you by now.
"They printed Mr. Hotchner's whole statement in one of the articles I read. It seems like Mrs. Hotchner made the whole thing up just so she could get a better deal in the divorce settlement."
"So you never.... He's kind of hot. I would do it," She laughed.
"Oh my god, no," You said, feigning disgust. "He's not my type. He drove me home once but that was it."
"Alright, well I have to go, seems like I have a deli date to get to. Love you."
"Love you," You smiled.
She wrapped you in a tight hug. "I'll always be here for you. I'm sorry all of this was so fucked up. And I'm sorry about your dad."
___
"This room is very clean," Hotch said slowly as he ran his finger across the surface of the conference room table.
"It's completely clean, Hotch," Derek said. "We can talk here."
"I may have deleted the reminders for the traffic officers to change the tapes in their speed cameras. So the footage of the two of you driving to Rehoboth Beach may have been accidentally recorded over," Penelope said.
"Fuck may have. I told the police I saw you administering CPR when we both know damn well that you didn't even bother to check his pulse," Derek said.
JJ piped up next. "I might have phoned in an anonymous tip saying that the only reason the case ended up in court was because you're an agent. A cheap he said/she said, domestic drama."
"I'm not good at lying," Spencer said quietly. "I just told them the truth, that you're an honest man, and in all the time I've worked with you, you've never put yourself ahead of others."
Aaron wrapped Reid in a hug, patting the other agent's back with his large hands.
"And I got you a fake passport," Elle joked.
"And I," Gideon poked his head around the doorframe, "Didn't hear any of that."
"I don't know what to do," Aaron said, taking a seat on one of the chairs and resting his elbows on his knees and his head in his hands. "But thank you, all of you."
"I talked to Strauss and she said that if a jury finds you not guilty, that's good enough for her," Gideon added.
Penelope looked between the two men. "Excuse me, sir, but I don't think Strauss is the problem."
Aaron nodded. "She's right."
"There are other women, Aaron. You can't throw your career away. She's not worth it."
The rest of the team were eerily quiet. Aaron wasn't sure if they agreed with Gideon, or if they were just too scared to admit that they didn't.
Reid's attention snapped to the TV in the corner of the room, and he turned up the volume.
"-able to catch up with the daughter of the man at the centre of this trial. Here's what she had to say after the verdict was handed down."
Aaron watched as you spoke. You looked calm, composed, as you made your way through your statement. He couldn't imagine handling this situation with the grace you'd handled it with.
As you moved into the question and answer portion, he noticed that you looked less comfortable.
"... I wish her all the best."
"Haley's pregnant?" Derek eyed Aaron. "When did you have time for that?"
Aaron glared at him. "If it's true, she must be a couple of months along. We haven't... She didn't tell me."
"Let's just get back to work," Gideon offered.
"I need to make a phone call," Aaron said sternly.
He left the room in a huff, and the team could hear him frantically dialling, then the first few words of his conversation.
"Is it true?"
Then there was the sound of a slamming door, and the team turned their attention back to the TV.
"He loves her, Gideon," Elle said.
"I can see why," Spencer replied. "She's handling everything very well. In 72% of cases with women in her demographic, the mistress seeks to be represented by an attorney or a public relations representative in order to avoid-"
"She's not just a mistress," Gideon interrupted. "That much is clear."
___
"I went to the doctor because I had been having chest pain," Haley explained. "So they ran some tests, and it turns out that we're expecting a little boy."
"Not we," Aaron fought hard not to yell. "You... you... You poked holes in the condoms. I didn't... I don't want this."
"Oh honey, you know there's always a risk of condoms breaking."
"They didn't break," Aaron said through gritted teeth. "I know you fucked with them."
"Well, it's too late now to schedule an abortion. By the time I'll be able to get an appointment, I'll be in the third trimester."
"I'm not asking you to get an abortion. How did you not realize?"
"I've been busy, in case you hadn't noticed."
"So what? Now I have to pay child support for a child I was trying my best not to have?"
"He's your child too, Aaron. You have to take some responsibility."
"Responsibility? Haley, it's rape if you told me we were using a condom and you lied. Jesus, we've had enough time in court, I don't want to fight you on this."
She was silent.
"Did you sign the divorce papers?"
"I think we should try again. We can still fix this."
Aaron stared at the phone in disbelief, eventually hanging up.
___
There was a 'for sale' sign outside your house. Aaron circled the block, parking at the other end of the block and walking the rest of the way. You opened the door before he could knock, greeting him with a tired smile.
"I'm going to buy a new house. Somewhere far from here," You nodded at the sign on the lawn.
"I liked the Isaiah verse you picked."
"Come in," You said. "You're letting the cold in."
Aaron hesitated. "We should..."
"We should talk," You finished.
"I just wanted to apologize," He said loudly as a dog walker strolled past, walking a little too slowly for your comfort.
"Okay, come in," You replied, mirroring his volume.
As soon as the door closed behind him, you both lit up, smiling.
"I guess your dad isn't home," Aaron said, already walking up to your bedroom.
"That's a fucked up joke," You replied, but laughed quietly.
"Sorry," He said out of habit. You passed him at the top of the stairs, shooting him a flirty smile.
You undressed quickly, lying back on your bed.
"You don't know how long I've waited..."
"18 weeks, 4 days, and..." Aaron checked his watch. "9 hours."
"Okay," You laughed. "I guess you do."
Aaron stripped quickly. "Haley's pregnant."
"I'm not," You replied. "I took a test at the start of the trial just in case."
"Good," He breathed as he sheathed himself in your cunt.
"Aaron," You moaned. "I missed you. I dreamed about this."
He dropped his head into the crook of your neck. "Is this a good enough apology?"
"Apologize harder," You gripped his back.
"Okay," He replied, slamming his hips into yours.
Before long, you were fisting the sheets, tightening your legs around his hips.
"This is weird," You said quietly. "We don't talk for half a year and now we're fucking."
"Do you want to stop?"
"You're not wearing a condom," You said. "I don't know if this is what we should be doing."
He pulled out gently, and quickly wrapped you in a blanket so you wouldn't suddenly feel the cold. You rested your head on his chest as you lay beside each other.
"I could buy a house in Rehoboth Beach. We could live there. You could be a lawyer, and I could... I could find something to do."
He hummed.
"This is it, isn't it?" You said. "We try so hard to protect each other, we're so fucking good at it, and the end is that we've done it so well that nobody thinks we've ever met."
"I'm going to try to fix things with Haley."
"Aaron-"
"Wait, let me finish. She's pregnant, and if we finalize the divorce, she's just going to bleed me dry. I'm worried that she has evidence that I don't know about. I can't walk on eggshells for the rest of my life."
"So... Now I'm just someone in your past? Case closed? You got the bad guy, and this is it?"
"You know that I love you."
"We can work this out. I love you too, there has to be something-"
"Sometimes love isn't enough."
"There's not even an ultimatum? Your plan was just to fuck me one more time, then leave?"
"You said yourself that you wanted to get out of this place, move far away. You knew I wasn't going to chase you. I can't leave my team. I can't leave Haley."
"How do you know I won't turn you in?"
He smiled sadly. "You love me."
"Fuck you," You whispered. "If you hadn't killed my dad, we could have been together."
"He was a serial killer."
You became aware of the space growing between you and Aaron. With every passing remark, he leaned away, and so did you.
"Did you ever love me?" You asked, your voice breaking.
"Is it easier for you if I say no?"
"I can't do this."
Aaron stood up, starting to get dressed. "I need my wedding ring back."
You wrapped the blanket around your shoulders and walked downstairs, retrieving the band from where you'd tucked it away inside the thermos lid. You didn't look him in the eye as you dropped it into his open palm.
___
Aaron knocked on the door, plastering a smile to his face.
It swung open.
"Haley," He said. "I think we should name him Jack."

Judgement Against Israel's Enemies
1 An Oracle
The word of the Lord is against the land of Hadrach and will rest upon Damascus. For to the Lord belong the cities of Aram, even as all the tribes of Israel; 2 Hamath also, which borders thereon, Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise. 3 Tyre has built herself a rampart, and heaped up silver like dust, and gold like the mud of the streets. 4 But lo, the Lord will strip her of her possessions and hurl her wealth into the sea, and she shall be devoured by fire.
5 Ash′kelon shall see it, and be afraid; Gaza too, and shall writhe in anguish; Ekron also, because its hopes are confounded. The king shall perish from Gaza; Ash′kelon shall be uninhabited; 6 a mongrel people shall dwell in Ashdod; and I will make an end of the pride of Philistia. 7 I will take away its blood from its mouth, and its abominations from between its teeth; it too shall be a remnant for our God; it shall be like a clan in Judah, and Ekron shall be like the Jeb′usites. 8 Then I will encamp at my house as a guard, so that none shall march to and fro; no oppressor shall again overrun them, for now I see with my own eyes.
The Coming Ruler of God’s People
9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Lo, your king comes to you; triumphant and victorious is he, humble and riding on an ass, on a colt the foal of an ass. 10 I will cut off the chariot from E′phraim and the war horse from Jerusalem; and the battle bow shall be cut off, and he shall command peace to the nations; his dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.
11 As for you also, because of the blood of my covenant with you, I will set your captives free from the waterless pit. 12 Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you double. 13 For I have bent Judah as my bow; I have made E′phraim its arrow. I will brandish your sons, O Zion, over your sons, O Greece, and wield you like a warrior’s sword.
14 Then the Lord will appear over them, and his arrow go forth like lightning; the Lord God will sound the trumpet, and march forth in the whirlwinds of the south. 15 The Lord of hosts will protect them, and they shall devour and tread down the slingers; and they shall drink their blood like wine, and be full like a bowl, drenched like the corners of the altar.
16 On that day the Lord their God will save them for they are the flock of his people; for like the jewels of a crown they shall shine on his land. 17 Yea, how good and how fair it shall be! Grain shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the maidens. — Zechariah 9 | Revised Standard Version (RSV) Revised Standard Version of the Bible, copyright © 1946, 1952, and 1971 the Division of Christian Education of the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the United States of America. A GODLY SORROW
9 NOW I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, BUT THAT YOUR SORROW LED TO REPENTANCE. FOR you were made SORRY in a GODLY MANNER, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing.
10 FOR GODLY SORROW PRODUCES REPENTANCE LEADING TO SALVATION, NOT TO BE REGRETTED; But THE SORROW OF THE WORLD PRODUCES DEATH.
11 FOR OBSERVE THIS VERY THING, THAT YOU SORROWED IN A GODLY MANNER: WHAT DILIGENCE it produced in you, WHAT CLEARING OF YOURSELVES, WHAT INDIGNATION, WHAT FEAR, WHAT VEHEMENT DESIRE, WHAT ZEAL, WHAT VINDICATION! In all things you proved yourselves to be clear in this matter."
2 Corinthians 7:9–11 (NKJV)
Tumblr media
* A godly sorrow would lead to a genuine repentance. There are two types of sorrows mentioned in the above Bible passage (2 Corinthians 7:10):
a. The Godly sorrow that produces or leads to repentance.
b. The sorrow of the world that produces death.
- The two types of sorrows could be seen In the betrayal of Jesus Christ. Two of His Disciples betrayed Him, and both were sorrowful or remorseful for what they did. The sorrow of one led to repentance, whilst the sorrow of the other person led to death.
- Both the Judas Iscariot and Simon Peter betrayed Him.
a. When Judas realizes what he did, he was sorrowful, and he took the money he collected from the high priest and the council to them, but his sorrow led to death—he went from that restitution to commit suicide (Matthew 27:3-5).
b. However, when Simon Peter realizes that he had betrayed the Lord, he wept sorrowfully (Matthew 26:69-75; Luke 22:54-62).
- Jesus is willing to receive back whoever misses it. No matter how worst whatever the person had done is, If he or she returned to Him, He will still receive them back. Only do not think that you had offended Him beyond a reconciliation (Luke 15:18-24).
- The story of prodigal son illustrated this clearly. When the prodigal son came to himself, when he realizes where he had missed it, he said he would arise and go back to his Father and he did exactly that. Meanwhile, his father's Heart also had been longing for him (Luke 15:11-24).
- God is willing to receive back Whoever has gone astray. No matter how hideous or disgusting what you had done may have been, He would still receive you back, If you could come with a remorseful and a repentant Heart (Psalm 34:18; 51:17; Isaiah 66:2).
* The Corinthian's godly sorrow that produced a repentance in them, which led to a number of things: "FOR [you can look back and] SEE WHAT AN EARNESTNESS AND AUTHENTIC CONCERN THIS GODLY SORROW HAS PRODUCED IN YOU: WHAT VINDICATION OF YOURSELVES [against charges that you tolerate sin], WHAT INDIGNATION [at sin], WHAT FEAR [of offending God], WHAT LONGING [for righteousness and justice], WHAT PASSION [to do what is right], WHAT READINESS TO PUNISH [those who sin and those who tolerate sin]! At every point you have proved yourselves to be innocent in the matter" (2 Corinthians 7:11 (Amps).
* The New Living translation put the passage, 2 Corinthians 7:11, Thus:
"JUST SEE WHAT THIS GODLY SORROW PRODUCED IN YOU! such EARNESTNESS, such CONCERN TO CLEAR YOURSELVES, such INDIGNATION, such ALARM, such LONGING TO SEE ME, such ZEAL, AND such A READINESS TO PUNISH WRONG. YOU SHOWED THAT YOU HAVE DONE EVERYTHING NECESSARY TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT."
a. The Corinthians believers were more diligent or earnest, having authentic concern after being remorseful (2 Corinthians 7:11).
b. They were indignant at Sin. They were no longer relishing or tolerating Sin.
c. They would not want to offend God again. They had the fear, reverential fear, of not offending Him.
d. They had the long or zeal; hunger and thirst for righteousness and justice (Matthew 5:6).
e. Passion to do what is Right was birth in them. They were longing to live holy, live for God and not to the self, to please Him (1 Peter 1:15,16; 4:1,2).
f. They had the readiness to discipline those who were wrong (2 Corinthians 10:6).
* A true Godly sorrow should lead to a change of heart that manifested in a change of Character.
- It is nowadays that you see those who professed to be believers living in blatant Sins without any remorse. Such might even be one of the church workers, the work force, in his or her local church. Some are even ministers, preaching or teaching others.
- There are a lot of hypocrisies in the church today. Would a preacher or Teacher not preach or teach himself or herself?:
21 YOU, THEREFORE, WHO TEACH ANOTHER, DO YOU NOT TEACH YOURSELF? YOU WHO PREACH THAT A MAN SHOULD NOT STEAL, DO YOU STEAL? 22 YOU WHO SAY, “DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY,” DO YOU COMMIT ADULTERY? YOU WHO ABHOR IDOLS, DO YOU ROB TEMPLES? 23 YOU WHO MAKE YOUR BOAST IN THE LAW, DO YOU DISHONOUR GOD THROUGH BREAKING THE LAW? 24 FOR “THE NAME OF GOD IS BLASPHEMED AMONG THE GENTILES [the unbelievers] BECAUSE OF YOU,” AS IT IS WRITTEN" (Romans 2:21-24 NKJV).
* Some Believers are entrenched in a particular Sin, they found it difficult to come out of it.
- Whenever they committed the Sin, they would be remorseful, but after a while they are back in the same act (2 Peter 2:22).
- Godly sorrow should lead to a genuine repentance. If you actually wanted to be free from the hold of that particular Sin, you might need to confide in someone who is mature spiritually, to help you. The person would be able to counsel you, and break the hold of the Sin through Prayer and the Anointing of the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 10:27).
- The hold of that Sin might be an initiation. Especially if it was a sin of immorality. Whoever is bound and entrenched in the Sin of immorality and claimed to be born-again, It is always an initiation.
- The sinful partner whom the person is bound with, whom they are commiting the Sin together, is usually a person with demonic power.
THE initiation is always done through sexual relationship. And this might be difficult to break loose from with physical strength, since it involves the activities of a demon or demons.
- If what is being shared here is your experience or what you are going through presently, I want to enjoin you to confide in your pastor or a minister of God who has the understanding of the operations of the kingdom of darkness.
- Also, take a bold step and stay away from the person, the sinful partner. If you live in the same place, you may have to move to another place temporarily until your deliverance is done and made perfect.
- However, If your own case is not as severe as what we have just shared here, that is, you do not perceive any demonic involvement in yours; you just go ahead and cofess your Sin and break away from whoever you are commiting the Sin with (1 John 1:9).
* I declare your freedom, your deliverance, in the mighty name of Jesus.
- Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in Jesus' name.
- Whatever is contrary to your health is completely uprooted in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Peace!
STEPS TO SALVATION
* Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. Ask that He will write your name in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
- If you took the steps As highlighted above, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!

November 4, 2023 - Exhortation
"Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes” (Isaiah 54:2).
In this coming season of advancement and acceleration, the Lord is looking for those who will faithfully steward what He is releasing and entrusting to them. There is also a call from the Lord you to move beyond your comfort zone -- be prepared to go beyond your old ways and structures and to have eyes to see the new way He is moving you.
The Lord is calling you to walk in your oneness with Him so you can be used by Him in a greater way. It is only in deeper surrender that He can take you higher in the things of Him. You are then able to carry and steward the increase He wants to give you including an increase in assignments, resources, gifts, and spiritual authority.
Just as a bridge can take you higher in order for you to enter the new territory, the Lord is calling you to have heavenly perspective and He is going to release the bridge of great revelation in order for you to move beyond anywhere you have been before. The Lord is shifting your mindset and the constraints you have placed on Him. All of this is happening so that you can partner with Him as He moves you into new territory. EXPECT to move into a new land, and move significantly beyond where you are now, into the new level of your Christ calling.
Not everyone has a grid for what God is doing in your life. A key to promotion in this season is staying faithful to the process God has you in and managing what He gives you charge over.

Proverbs: God's Wisdom for Daily Daily Living
Devotional Scripture:
Proverbs 12:5-7(KJV): 5 The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit. 6 The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them. 7 The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.
Thought for the Day
Verse 5 - The book of Proverbs contrasts the thoughts and words of the righteous with those of the wicked. Looking at these verses carefully, we notice the progression of sin and righteousness. Both of them first proceed from the heart. Next, they become thoughts in the mind and finally are manifested in our actions. Sin begins in a man's heart; first, a man will have thoughts about the sin, then his mouth will speak of those sins, and finally, he will commit those sins. The same is true of righteousness; it also proceeds from the heart and forms righteous thoughts. As a man speaks of those thoughts, he will finally act upon them and bring them forth as righteous deeds.
Jesus confirms this in Mark 7:20-23: "And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man."
The Bible tells us that all people tend to sin. How can we have a change of heart and be free from sin? We can be free only by being born again. We must confess our sins to God, acknowledge that Jesus Christ died in our place to pay the penalty for our sins, ask His forgiveness, and invite Him to come into our lives and give us new hearts. As we surrender our lives to God, the Holy Spirit breaks sin's power over us. "...So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. Let not sin reign in your mortal bodies, to make you obey their passions. Do not yield your members to sin as instruments of wickedness, but yield yourselves to God as men who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments of righteousness" (Romans 6:9-13 RSV).
Verse 6 - Though the wicked plot is murder, the righteous can prevent it through prayer. Speaking God's protection over a situation can destroy the plans of the wicked and establish the righteous. "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD..." (Isaiah 54:17a). Psalm 91 contains many promises of God's protection that we can pray aloud for others or ourselves.
Verse 7 - To walk in righteousness so that our "houses will stand," we must keep our minds on the things of God; guarding our hearts. As we saw above, sin is produced in the heart. Satan tries to enter through our "eye and ear gates." We must be careful of what we expose ourselves to on television, the Internet, and in books. Parents should monitor these, along with video games and music. It is not a sin to have an evil thought; it is a sin to consider it and dwell upon it. We can resist evil thoughts with God's Word (James 4:6-7). For instance, if tempted to covet, we can resist it by remembering the commandments not to covet (Exodus 20:17) and to be content with what God has given us (Hebrews 13:5). We can also remember that the Lord desires to bless all His children: He will bless us in due time if we are not jealous of others.
Prayer Devotional for the Day
Dear Father God, I am grateful for all the times that Your hand of protection has been over my family. Thank You! Help me to keep my thoughts on good things and take those things out of my heart that are not like You. Forgive me when I dwell upon wrong thoughts and fail to resist the devil immediately. I do want a clean heart and a pure mind. Help me to resist the evil that is in the world and keep my thoughts on edifying things. Lord, I pray for all the Christian parents raising their children in this crooked generation. Give them wisdom and love as they instruct their children in Your ways. Remove rebellion from the hearts of people whose thinking is perverted. Protect our children in the schools and on the streets. Have mercy on us and give us Your grace to be good examples to our children and young people we know. In Jesus' name, I ask. Amen. From: Steven P. Isaiah 54:1-10
1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord.
2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
6 For the Lord hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.
7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.
8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.
9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.
10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.
