#JUST how MUCH Eddie and Nancy look alike
Text
yknow we do a lot of like stevie realising she's transfem bc of a dare or like robin telling her about queer stuff and having a 'you can do that?' moment, but now im thinking of stevie who figures it out entirely on her own and doesn't know how to tell anyone. like she doesn't fully have the words and even with robin it's like. one thing to be gay but gender stuff is a whole other level and she has no idea where she stands on that
but like, stevie who used to play with his mothers makeup as a child, whose parents would laugh at his antics until he got too old to be so childish, time to act like a Real Boy. and every time he's supposed to act like One Of The Boys he thinks of how it felt when his mom would do his hair for him and comment on how alike they looked, and how much better that felt, and he knows that isn't normal, and he has to be normal
but after the upside down that really seems to matter less. nothings fucking normal anymore, why should steve be? so she starts branching out a little. breaks into her mothers closet again, tries on all the clothes she left behind when she went on her latest trip. slowly amasses a decent collection of makeup by going to several different stores over the course of months with the excuse of 'oh my mom/girlfriend sent me to pick up x'. she doesn't do the Whole Deal often, in case nancy comes over or later in case the kids suddenly ask her to drive them somewhere. doesn't do anything that can't be removed in like three seconds. and she's definitely never telling anyone about this. she doesn't know anyone who would understand.
after starcourt, she wonders about telling robin sometimes. like sure, stevie doesn't like men but she's still like. some kind of queer. robins the only other queer person she knows (and yeah, robin turning her down bc she was only into girls did sort of hurt, but it wasn't robins fault bc she didn't know, and also it turned out stevie just didn't understand what actual friendship felt like so it was for the best anyway), so if she can't tell robin who can she tell?
but something always stops her. robins technically never done anything that makes stevie think she'd be mean about it, but there's something like imposter syndrome keeping her mouth closed. like she's not the right kind of queer. like robins being queer the good and honest way and stevies just being some kind of freak. and yeah, she knows it's dumb to think like that and robin would call her a dingus if she said it out loud, but it sits pretty heavy in her heart
so it's not until after vecna, when stevies on the eddie shift in the hospital and eddie says, while high on possibly every drug in the world, 'man i spent all that time trying to grow my tits and bats ate an entire boob in under five minutes' and stevie goes ??? what???? and eddie, still too high to self-censor, makes some comment like yeah they weren't huge but that black market estrogen i got was finally working its magic, definitely had like an a-cup. rest in peace. and stevies like why were you growing boobs?? 'bc girls are supposed to have boobs, man, keep up'
and eddie passes out again like five seconds later, but stevie just sits there watching her snore with her heart about to beat out of her chest because. holy shit. she's not the only one. eddie might understand, might be able to help her, if she was able to grow her own boobs. stevie would love to grow her own boobs. she'd stuffed some socks down a bra once and they looked lumpy as hell but even just the suggestion of a bust had almost brought her to tears.
and suddenly, looking at the sleeping form of the first person stevie has ever met that she's ever had this so intrinsic thing in common with, everything doesn't seem so scary

Modern AU where there are books based on what happened to them like in Supernatural (you're not supposed to take this seriously, it's a humerous take):
Robin: *shrieks* Steeeve!
Steve: *drops everything and runs into the living room of their shared apartment* What?
Robin: I'm reading online, and these people are shipping me with Nancy!
Steve: You mean my ex-girlfriend Nancy? The one who I was maddeningly in love with and who I once pictured being a stay at home dad for while she took the world by storm? That Nancy? I'm no longer in love with her, so if you did want to -
Eddie: *popping his head in* I've met Nance, so I don't blame you for once being in love with her. Hey, why are we talking about Nancy?
Robin: They're shipping me with Nance online.
Eddie: Is it possible to unhear something? Don't they know you're into blondes and redheads?
Robin: They did not get the memo. *scowls* They hate Vickie. For no reason other than the fact they're we are too much alike. I love that! We never run out of things to talk about! I love to talk! I love you, Steve, but we have to have some boundaries.
Steve: Well, if things don't work out with Vickie and you did want to date Nancy, I wouldn't have a problem with it. I just want you to be happy.
Robin: Aww. That's the biggest load of crap that I've ever heard you come with for me. *calls Vickie and puts her on speakerphone* Hey, babe.
Vickie: If you're calling me to tell me that you're leaving me for Nance, I understand. I just want you to be happy.
Robin: Oh, boy. You're hanging out with Steve too much. By the way, if we ever break up and that's a big if, and you date Steve, I'll be devastated.
Vickie: *gasps* I would never! That's a huge boundary to cross. I would never do that to you or to Eddie.
Eddie: Thanks, babe!
Steve and Robin: Don't call her babe!
Robin: See, you would have a problem with it.
Steve: Yeah, but I would just bury it deep, deep down, and let it fester just to make you happy.
Robin: Aw, babe, that's really unhealthy. It's okay not to be okay with something.
Steve phone rings. It's Nancy. He puts it on speakerphone.
Nancy: They're shipping me with your platonic soulmate, Steve! Don't they know that I cheated on you with Jonathan?!
Robin: Yeah, there's a whole Ross and Rachel, "we were on a break" thing about it online. Some people don't think you broke up, and some people think you did.
Nancy: We just called each other bullshit!
Vickie: *sniggers* Guys, shipping is supposed to be a fun, not so serious thing. It doesn't have to mean anything.
Nancy: This does not feel very fun. I would never get in the way of two best friends. No, offense, Robin, but you're not my type. I just broke up with Jonathan so I could focus on my career. Why can't I be single for once?
Robin: There's nothing wrong with being a strong, independent, career driven woman!
Vickie: *gasps* Oh, no. You guys should not see who they ship Steve with.
Robin: *scrolls through Tumblr and gasps* Oh, babe, you have it way worse.
Steve: *looks at her phone and shrieks* Billy?! The same racist who nearly killed me and smashed a plate over my head?! The same guy who threatened to run over the kids? Who broke Max's skateboard? The same guy who made Max feel too scared to go to sleep at night? That Billy?!!
Eddie: Stevie. . .do you want to live off the grid and escape the internet?
Steve: How would we stay in contact with people?
Eddie: Birds, baby, we'll train them to send messages.
Robin: Oh, hey, I found a fic where you're being railed by Hopper, Steve.
Steve: *shrieks* My dad?!

Nancy Wheeler needs a steadier set of hands.
It’s a vital thing, the steadiness, and one which she’s prided herself on for a long time now, but in this moment? On this endless night? Nancy needs a steadier set of hands.
She stands along the wall, close to the door because it’s crowded beyond measure in the double-wide trailer that’s used primarily as a med center and because it’s hard enough to breathe during this conversation without direct access to an exit.
The fingers of her right hand tap against the side of her thigh, a discordant rhythm which her ballet instructors of her youth would have disparaged on the spot. Stay in time, Nancy! Don’t be so hesitant, Nancy! Did you forget how to count, Nancy?!
Her fingers tap, but the beat of her heart is not much better at keeping consistent time, so what is she meant to count along with? Where is the pace being set? Where is the music to guide her through this moment as her unsteady hands reach into the bag slung across her body and pull out a bottle of lake water, black as pitch and viscous?
Where is her partner in this pas de deux as the glass clatters with the uncontrollable force she uses to set it down on the table at the center of the room?
“Jesus Christ.”
“That’s our drinking water?”
“It looks like— like fuckin’ Venom.”
“What the hell is Venom, Henderson?”
“From Spider-Man? Symbiote alien from another planet and—”
“That’s our drinking water?”
Nancy stands against the wall.
She watches and she listens as they pass the bottle around, the glass face boasting Coca-Cola loud enough that it almost really does just look like a bottle of flat soda, and she chooses to let them bicker.
There was a time, some many months ago now, when Nancy would have walked in and at the very least pretended at enough confidence and certainty to convince everyone she had a plan and they would all be okay and they wouldn’t all die of thirst because the Upside Down and the entity controlling it has finally decided that direct action against their resources might be more efficient that sending monsters through the gates has been so far.
There was a time, indeed, when Nancy might have even felt such confidence, such certainty, but she can't remember that sensation now.
Not a sensory memory within her reach, not a modicum of cautious optimism born from a girl who had not yet learned the undeniable yearning of loss.
Nancy is here, as Joyce forces them all into some semblance of focus, kids and adults and the meeting of the two alike, but Nancy is also there.
Nancy is sixteen again, making a choice which changed her life, a choice she weighs in her hands during every moment of quiet, during every moment of noise too. If she had gotten in the car with Barb, would they have been able to outrun the forces of the Upside Down together?
Would Nancy simply have been dragged to her death with her best friend instead?
Is she fucked in the head for thinking both of those options may have been better than the reality?
“We need Max,” El is saying, arguing back against the sudden surge of insistence to fight. “When I can get through to Max, then we will have the upper hand.”
She says it a little stilted, a turn of phrase she's heard more than she's used, one which she likely only knows in this specific context.
Jonathan is standing beside her, close enough to offer visible support.
Eddie has a finger looped through the belt at Steve's waist, doing the same.
Robin sits beside Erica, Lucas on the other side of his sister, and Dustin pacing in the small space behind the couch.
Nancy leans against the wall by the door.
“We can't just wait around,” Steve shakes his head, almost in apology. “Vecna or— or the other thing, whatever's in charge at this point— it's making a play, right? That's what's happening? It's going on offense and we can't just keep playing defense, we have to actually make a play back.”
Nancy feels a headache brewing behind her eyes, clenches and unclenches her right hand in a fist to try and find something like stability. Fails at it.
“We've been holding our ground long enough,” Robin agrees with him boldly, “we understand how to fight back. If we catch him by surprise...”
“But can we? Catch him by surprise?” Lucas now, deep bags of grief under his eyes which Nancy understands all too well.
She wishes for him to never understand it as well as she does.
She wishes for a lot of things.
“He's baiting us,” Dustin shakes his head. “We tried that game with— with Max,” a thick swallow, “and he's mocking us with it. We should wait. We aren't ready.”
“It doesn't matter whether or not we're ready,” Nancy hears herself speaking and the way all those eyes turn on her is the sort of being seen she's avoided all her life.
Ever since she was a child, she hasn't been able to stomach people pretending to know her. Ever since she was a child it's been a form of control, a form of expectation, another set of rules she's had to conform to and she's goddamn tired of it.
She's really just so tired.
“It doesn't matter,” she shrugs, crosses her arms and grips at her biceps so no one can see the way her hands shake. “We'll never be ready, but if we wait long enough we will get weaker because we won't have water and we won't have food and it will be winter. He'll freeze us out before we can even try. It doesn't fucking matter.”

No, but stay with me for four minutes, yeah? Indulge me, please. Good. Thanks.
Steve is lost. He is so lost after the whole Vecna creep thing, because everything is falling apart. Hawkins is torn into pieces, people are leaving town, and his friends? Max is in a comma, the kids are barely holding up, keeping themselves busy, Nancy doesn't speak to him, Robin is forced by her parents to leave town for college, Jonathan is back in town with his weirdo friend, and so is Hopper, coming back from the fucking dead. Eddie didn't come back from the dead, though. That might have helped with the fact that Dustin is unreachable, he's miles away. Steve knows his heart is in that other fucked up dimension and he can't reach it, he can't fix this problem with his bat, and he can do little more than just to show up, though he's not sure it's doing any good, because the kid ends up crying every time.
Steve doesn't know what his role is anymore. He goes here and there, helping with what he can, but he's fucking lost. He doesn't know how to help. He found his platonic soulmate and she's not there anymore, she left in June. He is not the babysitter because the kids don't need him. He is not the king, hasn't been for a while. He's not a serial dater. He's not a business man like his father.
He is no one, and if he's someone he doesn't know who he is.
In a desperate attempt to make Dustin smile, he takes him to Salt Lake City to see Suzie, to spend a few days with her. He pays for gas, and food and the few nights they stay there, at a nearby hotel. He refuses to take a penny from Claudia.
The worst part is that Dustin is trying to smile, forcing himself to show happy and glad, Steve can see. But those big dorky smiles that always made his eyes shrink? Those smiles don't go anywhere, and it breaks Steve's heart, because the kid is trying, for him.
He sees Suzie for the first time and she's quick, and bright, and funny and pretty much how Dustin described her. Steve likes her immediately, so he chaperones them, and takes them out so they can have a proper date. Suzie's sister is also chaperoning. Eden. He trusts her right away, for some reason. She's nice. She is snarky, witty, always with that vague cloud of annoyance around her. She's pretty, and the whole witch schtick really suits her.
She's not as mysterious or mean as she think she is, though, because he sees how Eden looks at Suzie and there is fondness there. Steve's thinking that he relates to her and that's why he can see the love behind her foul mouthed comments.
They let the kids wander around the mall, they let them being kids, and meanwhile Steve and Eden talk about nothing, and a bit of everything. It is when she mentions how much she wants to get the hell out of Salt Lake City when Steve suddenly realizes that Eden reminds him of Eddie. They look so alike, and Steve's heart skips a beat because the resemblance is uncanny, in every aspect.
God even the name is similar.
Something has switched and Eden has noticed it, and asks Steve what's wrong. And Steve tells her.
Steve tells Eden about Eddie, minus the Upside Down shit, he tells her everything.
What was Eddie like, what he meant to the kids, to Dustin specifically, he talks about his anarchy inclinations, that he was a guitarist and was part of a metal band. He tells her about how he was unfairly treated by his hometown, how he was accused of things he didn't do, and he's both sad and surprised to learn that Eden has heard about him in the news.
When Eden asks how he died, he only tells her that Eddie was protecting Dustin.
Dustin and Suzie are in a tech store comparing and about weird discussing items, Steve and Eden are outside the store, when she comments that it is a very metal way to go. He agrees with a wet whisper, because he's doing everything in his hand to not cry.
Steve is so concentrated that he feels that Eden is putting something in his hand a bit too late. It's a stone. It's pretty, warm. He doesn't know what it means when she says that it'll help him. He doesn't ask, just smiles at her.
And Eden switches the topic and they end up talking about worst times babysitting these fucking kids because they love to get in trouble. They bond. Steve and Eden, he is comfortable with her, and she seems to be, too.
Steve can't take Eddie of his thoughts now, and wonders if their could have had this kind of thing, too, where they bitch about the kids being kids and they cleaning up their messes and swearing not to do it again, but they do it again, and again, and again. He wonders if he's finding Eden pretty just because she somehow feels like Eddie, and that is so unfair to her, but he can't help it.
By the last date they chaperone before Steve and Dustin have to go back to Hawkins, Steve already knows about Eden being a wicca. She practices rituals, and can make tarot readings, and all. Steve always thought that it was nonsense that he couldn't fully understand, he was never into it. But then Eden offers to make a tarot reading for him, and Steve sees Dustin and Suzie cuddling in their picnic blanket, stargazing, and he thinks why not.
He doesn't know anything anymore. He feels open to new things, and he trusts Eden. It's a fact that he doesn't need to understand shit for it to happen, anyways.
Steve fidgets with the stone in his pocket when he agrees, and Eden asks Steve to ask the deck for an answer, and he wonders about himself, about who he is, and then Eden puts some cards in front of him and talks about his past, his present and his future, according to the cards. And the thing is, that it is pretty accurate when it talks about the past, he relates to what she says. He can see it, know what she's talking about. Things she couldn't possibly know, they are not that close.
He is intrigued, and invested, and asks her more things about the deck, how it works, how she knows what they say. She tells her what she knows, which is not really enough, but he's happy to hear her talk, so convinced. Talks about a manual she learnt everything from and she can't possibly place where it is now. She's in her element and then Steve realizes he's going to miss her, and thinks that next time he's bringing Robin because they might get along well.
They part ways that night, and they hug tight, and he hugs Suzie, too. She has the audacity to apologize for having to spend so much time with his meanest sister. Eden calls her little shit, and he sees Eddie in her again, and he laughs.
Yeah, he's definitely going to miss her.
Dustin is in a very much better mood now. He even smiles that way it reaches to his eyes.
They go back home, and they take a break in a service area. There are books and toys and souvenirs there.
He buys a tarot deck and brings it home. He sets it in his night stand, and over it, it rests Eden's stone.

Corroded Coffin plays a gig at some dive bar outside Chicago and Steve, Robin and Nancy are there sitting at the bar. The show starts and the whole time Steve watches Eddie with stars in his eyes, like his boyfriend just hung the goddamn moon for him. Nancy and Robin are used to it so they're not paying attention but the bartender, Jack, looks at him with pity, thinking he's another fan who thinks he has a real shot with someone in the band. After the second set and with Steve still laser focused on the stage, he's got to be the one to unfortunately shatter the little bubble he's living in. Jack sets a glass of whiskey down in front of him, startling him a bit.
"Look, kid," he says. "I've worked here a while, seen bands come and go in this place and there's always a couple of guys who have the same exact look as you do."
The boy tilts his head, confused.
"All starry eyed and hopeful, thinking that they're gonna be the one that makes it back to the bus."
The kid has half the sense to at least look a little embarrassed, but he shakes his head. "Nah, man. It's not like that, believe me."
Jack rolls his eyes. "I've been watching you for a while, kid, you're not exactly slick. There's been enough people come crawling back here with their tails between their legs because their fantasies were busted by guys like that."
He points to the stage where Eddie is doing his bit with Jeff, both singing into one mic and Eddie presses a sloppy kiss to his cheek before moving back to his spot. Steve holds back his grin as the audience gets louder. Robin and Nancy go absolutely wild in front of him, having moved closer when the band stepped onstage.
Jack sighs and picks up the rag he was using to wipe down the counter. "I'm just trying to look out for you." He points to the glass. "That's on the house, by the way."
Steve is still a little confused by the interaction, watching Jack for a second before turning his attention back to his boyfriend. Eddie catches his eye and puckers his lips in a kiss, and Steve doesn't hold back his grin, putting two fingers in his mouth and whistling. Eddie laughs.
By the end of the show, Eddie is covered in sweat and amped up with adrenaline, grinning from ear to ear as they thank the crowd and the bar for having them. They help the roadies pack up their instruments and gear into the trailer hitched onto the back of Eddie's van before cleaning themselves up to join the crowd. Jeff and Gareth are the first ones out of the green room and immediately make a beeline for the bar, only stopping for a few autographs and to chat with fans. The band knew the three of them would be there and they looked forward to having their own little corner to themselves for the rest of the night.
Jack gives Steve a raised eyebrow when they walk up and Robin gushes about how good they were. The don't say I didn't warn you goes unsaid. Steve shakes his head and launches into the conversation, his back turned toward the stage.
They hear Eddie before they actually see him.
Well, they don't hear Eddie so much as they hear the crowd when he comes out of the hallway leading to the green room. He's changed from his stage outfit into a faded Poison tee and a pair of what Steve knows are his comfy jeans. Ripped at the knees and thighs and almost threadbare. Steve has told him a thousand times to thow them out but the boy's as stubborn as a mule.
Girls and guys alike flock around him like he's the Messiah to get even a fraction of his time and Eddie eats it up eagerly, the attention whore. He signs autograph after autograph and turns offers of going back to random hotels as gently as he can before he can finally break free.
"Y'know, sometimes I think he's the only reason we have fans in the first place," Gareth muses, leaning his elbows on the bar. "Dude's a natural performer."
Eddie finally makes it over to them and, to absolutely no one's surprise (but definitely Jack's), he pulls Steve in for a kiss with one hand on his waist and the other cupping the back of his neck. The others groan and Steve giggles a delighted "baby" into Eddie's mouth when he starts to get a little handsy.
Eddie pulls away with one last peck. "Sorry, sweetheart, you know how I get when I see you in my clothes."
Steve raises an eyebrow. "Really? Robin's wearing your shirt, too, and I don't see you making out with her," he teases.
Robin gags and Eddie gives her a mock apologetic look over Steve's shoulder. "Sorry, Buckley, but I think it's best if we see other people. You know how it goes, it's not you, it's me, yada yada."
"I completely agree, Munson," Robin nods seriously.
Steve taps his palm on Eddie's chest. "Before I forget, I was given instructions to tell you that when we get back to Hawkins tomorrow, you have to call Henderson immediately. He's missed his dad, so your place will probably be filled with kids the whole day."
"And what if we wanted to stay in Chicago an extra day?" Gareth asks, even though he knows they won't. "See the sights and all that bullshit."
Nancy scoffs. "Are you kidding? Your mom clocked us as soon as we walked in and said that she's proud of you, but she wants to go home."
Steve laughs as Gareth puts a hand over his heart. "Wounded by my own mother! The betrayal!"
Eddie shakes his head. "And does Henderson remember we've been on the road for three weeks? I get back to Hawkins, I'm not leaving my trailer for a week. He can have some patience."
"Patience? These kids?" Robin laughs. "They wouldn't know patience if it bit them in the ass."
From the conversation that Jack is trying oh so hard not to eavesdrop on, he picks up that they're all friends and have known each other for a considerable amount of time. High school, maybe? And going by the way the band's guitarist swooped in and planted one on the kid, they've been together for a while also. So, not a wannabe groupie. Just a lovesick boyfriend. Jack can understand that. He can also see, now, the matching guitar pick necklaces they're wearing.
Eventually, the group decides to call it a night.
"By the way," the kid, Steve, says to him, slapping cash on the counter. His arm is around Eddie's waist and Eddie's is around his shoulder. He throws him a wink before turning to leave. "It's a van, not a bus."

You had just gotten back from the airport to your home town to visit your little brother, Eddie Munson.
The only reason you've been absent for such a long time was because of college. You eventually bump into Dustin who just bombarded you with a bunch of questions, since, well, he's never seen you in Hawkins before. "I've never seen you here before? Are you new to Hawkins?" Dustin asked. "Nah, I've lived here for a very long time little dude. Just came to visit my uncle and little brother." You said to him, only for Dustin to give you a suspicious look. "What? I'm tellin' the truth." You chuckled.
"Alright, I believe you. What's your name?" Dustin asked and put his hand up. "Y/n." "Well, it's nice to meet you Y/n. I'm Dustin." Dustin said and held his hand out for you to shake it. You shook his hand with a firm grip before letting it go. For a couple hours Dustin took you to meet some of his friends which you got along with pretty well.
"Oh yeah, Y/n was it?" Mike said and turned his attention onto you. "Hm? What's up?" You asked before taking another sip of a slurpy. "Who's your little brother?" Mike asked making a small smirk form on your lips. "Eddie, he's my little brother." You said before you continued taking sips of your drink.
Dustin, Mike, and Lucas's mouth nearly touched the ground when you told them that. "But-... You aren't a metal head and you don't dress like him-" "Not every Munson is a metal head and dresses like that." You chuckled. "And you two don't look alike at all." Dustin said and you nodded. "We don't have the same moms, but we have the same dad. He has our dads features while I have my moms, simple as that.' You told them making their mouth's form an 'o' shape. "Speaking of Eddie, where is that little troublemaker anyways? The only reason I came back was to spend some time with him." You muttered.
"Oh! I can take you to him. See you later guys." Dustin said as he stood from the table and left with you. When they got there, Steve, Nancy, Robin, and Eddie were there just relaxing and talking amongst themselves.
"I brought someone!" Dustin exclaimed getting their attention. Eddie's eyes widened before he sprang up and ran over to you. "Oh dear." You mumbled before a loud 'oof' sound came from your along with a thud from falling backwards because of Eddie. "Y/n! I missed you so much dude! Where have you been?" Eddie cheered as he hugged you. Slowly you sat up and patted Eddie's back with a laugh.
"College was a hassle so I wasn't able to visit you for awhile, my bad Eddie." You said and gave his forehead a kiss. "Is that his boyfriend or somethin?" Steve being the first to speak, asked. "That's fuckin gross! He's my older brother." Eddie said before getting up and helped you up.
Robin stared at you intensely, along with Steve and Nancy. "I don't see it." She said, confused on how you two were related in any way. "I mean, you look more presentable than Eddie." "Lucas said the same thing, but they actually are related." Dustin said. "We have the same dad but not the same mom." Eddie commented and you nodded agreeing with him.
"Oooh, that makes sense." Nancy smiled. "Anyways, how's college? I was wondering when you'd come and see me." Eddie chuckled and elbowed you in the side making a light laugh come from you.
"How about I tell you all about it, hm?"

This was originally planned to be its own fic, with background and build up and ✨️longing✨️, but I don't think it'll work out. Can't write slow burn to save my life.
Enjoy this bit of it because I'm still gonna be thinking about it.
Context - Post Vecna, a few days after the gates open. Eddie lives, barely, and has some trouble moving. Max survives, though with impaired vision and legs, Vecna having taken barely enough from her to open the gates. The Party finds an abandoned shelter outside of town after everybody reunites, using it as their base.
-----------
It's logical, he tries to reason. It makes sense, it's the only real way to handle this situation.
The kids are all bunking together, no doubt turning the entire floor into one single bed. With the Cali-Crew (quote Dustin) finally back home, no one would dare try and separate them. Besides, the fight over who got to bunk with Max to watch over her injuries was getting too annoying for anyone to keep dealing with.
The adults are bunking together as well. Having one guy sleeping alone in a room each during these times, when danger was prominent every single night, seemed weird to the Russians and Wayne. Plus, as Murray jokes, it "keeps an eye on Hop and Joyce at night" (he got a few punches for that one, laughing all the while).
But the teens started this whole thing - or rather, Argyle did. The second they found out how many rooms there were available in the shelter, he called shotgun on one for just him and Jonathan. The adults reluctantly agreed to it, so Nancy took the chance and grabbed a room for her and Robin, to everyone's surprise.
Which left one last pairing.
Steve did look a little upset about not getting to bunk with Robin (and if you ask Eddie, a little scared, but he won't even try and think of the reason). But upon her and Nancy's shrug and responding, "Girls night," he conceded with an eye roll and a sighed, "Girls night..." before immediately grabbing Eddie to take the room in the middle of the hall.
And that seemed to be Steve's only grievance about bunking with Eddie. Everything else he's seen in the past few days of their recovery, his quirks and struggles alike, he looks ready to take in stride.
Eddie sleeps far from the door with his spear and shield next to him? "I would've fought you on that first, man. And hey, my bed back home has a bat on each side. This thing never leaves me."
Eddie's gauze leaks through with shit from his wounds? He can barely walk to the door without shaking? "We dealt with the same bats, Eds, it's okay, I got you."
Eddie has a big emotional gay crush on the guy and everytime he's called "Eds" he wants to beg for Steve to hold him and never let go?...Well, Steve doesn't know about that one, but it's only a matter of time honestly.
Especially considering the damn sleeping arrangement, which makes itself prominent the second they open the door.
While the rooms themselves aren't so bad, considering the age of this place, Steve and Eddie got lucky enough to find the one room with only one proper bed. Connected bathroom and pull out couch, yeah, sure, cool. But the springs in the couch are rusted through and snapped shut when Eddie tried to open it, so that's a no.
And Steve, still recoiling from the bang of the couch, had the audacity to try and suggest he sleep on the floor?!
"Hell no, Steve!" Eddie immediately fought. Showing too much care that it makes Steve look shocked. "Do you know how many rats could've been crawling around on that? We can clean the bed, but who knows what's hiding in those cracks? Just take the bed and I'll sleep on the couch-"
"After that thing almost exploded?!" Steve exclaimed back. He's a little concerned, with his puffed chest and hands on his hips countered by the softer give in his eyes. "No way, Eds, not with your bites still fucking you up." Stop looking at his eyes, Munson. "I'll just get another bed from the spare rooms-"
"Nope, not happening either." Steve may still be the hot ass jock he was in high school, but a year out of the gym and his own wounds in his sides and back would make just that torture. Because there's no doubt he'll reject any help, try and do it all his own. And Eddie refuses to let him run into pain again. "The couch works just fine as is, and I can barely move anyway, so no harm no foul, right?"
"You could fall off," Steve responds, crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow.
"You'll get rabies on that floor," Eddie counters. Then he tilts his head to the side, a lilt in his tone. "Can't worry our dear Buckley, now can we?"
Steve snorts at that, making Eddie smile. Goddamn it, Munson. "You wouldn't be able to get up on your own from the couch," Steve counters yet again, smiling like it's a competition now.
"You wouldn't be able to get up at all," Eddie fights back.
"The bed probably stinks."
"And you'd still let me go up there?"
"You need actual sleep."
"So do you."
"...You wouldn't wanna move rooms?"
"Steve, you don't even want to move."
They're both smiling so wide it has to hurt Steve the way it hurts Eddie. Every counter they've taken a step forward until they're almost face to face, same height even with Eddie's trembling from sliced nerves.
Someone has to break soon - "Then take the damn bed, Munson!" - and it turns out to be Eddie. Because of course.
"Only if you do too!"
There isn't enough metal in the walls for the words to be echoing this much. It's the first retort Steve's actually affected by, flinching back just a hair but it's enough. His expression goes from giddiness to a kind of seriousness Eddie can't decipher.
Eddie's frozen solid. He doesn't want to know what he looks like, knows enough how his eyes are way too wide, that his mouth is stumbling over words it can't make. Look who's really fucked up now, the dude saved your life and you two are finally friends, and you're repaying the favor by asking him to sleep with you. Shameful, disgusting, inconsiderate...
But Steve's looking over at the bed. Assessing the dust covered sheets, the pillows and slightly moldy headboard, and then...
He fucking shrugs like it's no big deal and is saying "Okay," like it doesn't stab Eddie right in the throat, making him squeak as he's brought out of his head into something that cannot be reality.
"Okay?" Eddie responds, incredulous, watching Steve go over to their duffel bags in the hall.
"If it means you'll back down, sure. That thing's big enough for the both of us anyway." Steve throws the bags on the couch, flinching a little when he stands up straight again. "You could've just suggested that from the start, Eds, could've saved us the trouble with the death trap over here." He jokes, nodding at the couch.
But Eddie doesn't catch it, shocked in silence. Making a big deal out of nothing because of his stupid stupid heart. "You're serious?"
Steve scoffs, rolling his eyes as if he's offended by Eddie's surprise. The mirth in his eyes hasn't faded though. "I'm not scared of a little sleepover, man. And if it wasn't you it was gonna be Robin, so don't think you're special." He walks over to the bed as he says that, but Eddie still catches the fear in his eyes again. The one flavored with loneliness.
But as Steve starts carefully pulling the sheets off the bed, he softens again, meeting Eddie's eyes with a kindness that's so genuine. Breath, Munson, that's a thing you need. "Seriously though, Eds, I'm cool with it, don't worry. We've both been through some worse shit than this, yet I'm still here. So are you." Steve averts his eyes, looking almost sheepish as Eddie's heart basically implodes. "Don't think you can push me away now. You're stuck here, like it or not."
Steve occupies his hands with collecting the sheets, so carefully trying not to send dust everywhere. Eddie finally breaks out of his stupor, smiling as his chest sags in relief. Crush or not, Steve proves Eddie's little Upside Down speech right every single damn day. Playful and sarcastic and strong, but the hidden consideration and softness and care showing through. Every. Single. Time.
Steve reaches for the thin bed cover at the bottom, but Eddie's already there on the other side, pulling it out of his grasp. His head snaps up, surprise to open fondness. "You sure about that, Stevie?" Eddie jokes, slowly bunching up the sheet in his hands. Knows the truth is peeking through. "I've been called quite the unforgiving bunk mate."
Steve blinks at his words, searching him for something Eddie doesn't want to know. But then he's smiling too, not looking away as he goes for the pillows. "As long as you don't snore, I'll be the judge of that."
-----------
Eddie does snore.
Not outright, it's a barely there grumble if you get technical. But it comes up sometimes when he sleeps on his back, and thanks to those glorious bites, he's forced to. Thus, snoring. Steve would probably make fun of it, play up the annoyance and make a joke of it to get Eddie to laugh.
But they're both fast asleep. Steve in just sweatpants and Eddie in a shirt and shorts, on opposite ends of the bed, passed out with the exhaustion of the last week still weighing them down.
They're no better than the rest of the Party, their new base of operations providing them all a sense of safety no trailer or winnebago has before. Granting them all the deepest sleep they've had yet.
Still, the unconscious Steve shuffles in his sleep in the dead of night. His brain is a hive of noise in times like these, making his subconscious dark and uncomfortable. He's deep in slumber, exhaustion keeping him trapped down, so his body tries to counteract it, twisting and turning to find sanctuary.
The unconscious Eddie isn't faring any better. Even in sleep he's restless, his usual positions consisting of shuffling legs, constant turning, and the tight cradling of a pillow, all in the attempts to keep his body down and still. But with the wounds, he can hardly breathe without straining against them. Every attempt his subconscious makes to move, a sharp burst of pain shoots into his dreams, and he stops with a groaning snore. And though the blankets they could salvage are thick and comfortable, this new Hawkins post-Vecna is cold at night, and Eddie is too exposed to not feel the shivers rack his body, flaring the pain further.
With a sleepy mumble, Steve shuffles into the bed a little further, his brow straining against his mind's assault. At the same time, Eddie turns his head onto his uninjured cheek, the only movement his body will allow.
Steve squirms and it strains at the wounds in his back, so against the bruising pain of the bites, he turns over into his side. He's got more freedom than Eddie there, so while his body slowly settles against the pain, his other arm comes around to find peace in the sheets below. Anything to ground him from the memories swirling fast like rushing lake water.
And it finds something. Something solid, soft, real and breathing and alive and safe. Steve's too deep in sleep to comprehend it past that, so his fingers just run softly over it, savoring the tranquility it offers his rattled head.
Likewise, Eddie's snoring abruptly quiets with a breathy exhale. Something has grabbed hold of his upper arm. Soft and moving but it's warm, radiating heat up to his shoulder blade and down into his fingertips. Thankful and desperate, his subconscious moves him to shuffle sideways, face straining against the pain in search of the aid that'll soothe it.
At the same time, Steve also searches for more of that feeling, the edge of darkness licking at his heels as he tries to escape. Closes the gap.
Steve is now laying nearly on top of Eddie's right side, arm draped over his chest and head finding solace in the crook of his neck. All the while, both of them completely unconscious.
Steve's brain goes blissfully silent, the presence of another comforting his innate fears and driving away the darkness into a muted haze. It pulls his mind completely away from whatever pain resides in his torso, and he relaxes fully with a soft mumble.
Eddie sags into the bed with a deep exhale. The warmth digs deep into his bones, burning away the cold and restless twitching in his nerves. The pressure on his side adds to the weight on his mind, dragging him deeper into sleep. The pressure on his chest is just barely off of his wounds, soothing the stabbing in his gut in to a soft pulsing.
He leans more into it, meeting Steve breath for breath. Letting their hearts match in beat, sinking into peace. It's the safest and most comfortable they've been since hell froze over.
But as the night goes on, they'll slowly drift apart. When the sun rises they'll be separate once again. Their minds will only remember the peace, their bodies the vague touch of comfort.
Despite everything, they'll be none the wiser.
Despite everything, the next night, they'll long for it again.
And despite everything, they would find it.

More Proof Of Byler and Other Storylines In S5
Okay, so at the end right when Max dies before she is brought back, we see Hawkins split into four sections. Four huge gate lines are created, connecting in the middle, but creating four separate quadrants in Hawkins. Hawkins is the main setting for Stranger Things, so we can assume this represents our main storylines and characters.
This shot proves that Byler is going to be a key storyline in the final storyline.
Tumblr media
Now how is this proof of Byler and suggesting other storylines for other characters? Let's first look at this shot.
Tumblr media
And let's assume the rest of the main characters (Dustin, Lucas, Max, Steve etc) are represented by Nancy since Nancy was in Hawkins and none of the others were.
Now let's think back to where each of the gates were created.
Tumblr media
The first gate was created in Episode One when Chrissy is killed by Vecna in Eddie's trailer. Eddie's trailer is heavily involved in the Hawkins storyline, therefore we can conclude this represents our Hawkins characters and storylines, aka the spot where Nancy and Jonathan hold. Nancy is the only character in this shot that has any connection to Eddie's trailer.
Now this may seem vague but hear me out.
Tumblr media
The next gate that is created is in Episode Two where Fred is killed by Vecna, on a long road. What does a road represent? A journey, a distance, traveling from one place to another. Who do we know who has done something like this during season four? Hopper and Joyce, one of the other pairs represented in the shot during the end of S4. We can infer that Murray will most likely be in this storyline as well. So this is a second part of the four quadrants in the first picture in this post. Now this still might seem vague BUT HEAR ME OUT.
Tumblr media
Where is the next gate created? In Episode Five, when Patrick is killed by Vecna in Lover's Lake.
El is seen alone in the last shot of S4 and we've already seen plenty of Mileven's relationship so it wouldn't represent them.
We have already seen both Jancy and Jopper become couples even after having varying lengths of slowburn. So we can conclude this does not represent either of them. So the only pair of characters left is Byler.
But it's not just that, because there's another connection between Byler and Lover's Lake.
Tumblr media
In season two, Will draws Lover's lake in his map of the tunnels. Out of everything he draws, it's the only recognizable shape and what leads to all of the other tunnels being understood better by Bob. Not only that but they show Mike in front of Lover's Lake, even though Will is helping out as well and could have been the one measuring.
Tumblr media
He answers Bob's question about the distance between Lover's Lake and TippeCanoe (sp?) with "I'm Not Sure" even though he's not the one measuring, Joyce is. He's just holding it in place. So in retrospect, they're trying to symbolize Will and Mike with Lover's Lake, especially since he's the only one there helping Will figure this stuff out with the Mind Flayer, reiterating that they have a special friendship. If you look back to the original character descriptions, Will isn't even listed as Mike's best friend, Lucas is. This further indicates Mike and Will's so called friendship is more than platonic.
And where the last gate is created, to me, brings everything together. It's created in Vecna's house. And who is this last quadrant supposed to represent? El. She's the last one left out of the four groups and she pulls everything together for Stranger Things entire series.
Tumblr media
We know Vecna and El have a complicated past, so it's clear that this gate represents her. I think it's going to be an amazing comparison and contrast between their characters because we already know they're so much alike with their powers and history, yet they turn out so differently at the core.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Once again, Hawkins (representative of the premise of the story) is split into four sections, conveying four different directions the characters and storylines are going to be focused in. However, remember all the gate lines are connecting, meaning these storylines are going to converge and support each other.
In the second shot notice the big piece of smoke is right in front of El and then Byler. The smaller pieces of smoke are centered towards the other main characters. This suggests the other characters are going to have important storylines but smaller in comparison to not only El, but Byler too.
Plus we already know the Duffer's said it's going back to the roots of s1 - people tend to take this as strictly Mileven or maybe Will isn't as invovled because he's barely there in season one, but it's just the opposite. The dynamic of El/Mike/Will is there the entire season and Will's name is mentioned probably more than any other characters name. So yeah, I think this is pretty indicative of Byler being a huge piece to the story along with El, by herself.
Anyway, maybe I'm delusional and maybe this theory is vague af but I couldn't help but notice the connections. Hope you've enjoy this post!

I feel like Eddie and Nancy are so much alike at their cores but just present themselves in very different ways, and I think they’d get along very well so here are some of my HCs about them:
They take a while to warm up to each other. Initially, Eddie thinks Nancy is arrogant and closed off, and Nancy thinks Eddie is arrogant and way too intense.
They gradually find out that they share a lot of the same interests: their tastes in music are much more similar than one would expect, they enjoy having intense political or philosophical discussions with each other, and Eddie likes to tease Nancy about being pretentious for her extensive knowledge of literature and fine arts, which Nancy thinks is funny bc usually people are only intimidated by that.
Jonathan got Nancy into rock music a few years ago and she loves rocking out to the heavier-leaning part of the genre on a respectable volume. Eddie is pleasantly surprised by this and develops a whole plan to get her to cross the bridge to the metal genre. It works pretty well and Nancy is really impressed by Corroded Coffin when she finally goes to one of their gigs.
On one particular night at Steve’s they get into a heated discussion about anarchism (meanwhile Steve and Robin are passionately and very out-of-tune singing along to ABBA). Nancy thinks it’s a pointless concept because it inevitably ends in chaos and violence, but that makes Eddie’s blood boil because he thinks that’s a lazy argument based in misconceptions. Eddie gets a little bit offended by how impressed Nancy looks about his ability to hold a conversation about politics with her and he explains to her how interesting-topics-intelligence and school-intelligence aren’t the same. Nancy becomes determined to make sure that Eddie is gonna graduate that year, now that she knows he’s actually super intelligent.
Nancy’s tutoring sessions pay off because she harshly refuses to let Eddie distract himself while they’re studying. She always makes sure to get him some kind of treat after each study session to keep him motivated. Sometimes it’s a good snack, other times a song exchange, or it can just be a good conversation while Eddie has a smoke on the porch.
The study sessions also mean that they’re spending much more time with just the two of them, and Nancy gradually opens up more to Eddie about her personal life. The way she confides in Eddie about her relationship struggles with Jonathan or the guilt she still feels about Barb’s death, make Eddie see her more as a real human being and less as the little-miss-perfect he always thought she was.
Their personalities balance each other out perfectly: Nancy's logical and sensible character becomes a rescue for Eddie whenever he feels like he’s losing his mind, and Eddie’s boldness and chaos help Nancy lean more into her creative and dreamy side.
Feel free to add yours to the list bc i’m obsessed with their friendship now

Eddie was staring at Steve. Normally, he loved it, but Eddie was looking at him in concern. Steve sighed and paused the movie, turning to face Eddie.
"What's up, Eddie?" Steve asked. "Did you want to talk about something?"
"I don't know how to tell you this, but I've noticed it, and I'm not sure if you have or not, but I figured that you should know," Eddie said.
"Is this about you staring at me all the time?" Steve asked. "Because I like it."
"Look, I know Robin means a lot - wait, you noticed me staring at you?" Eddie asked. "Hold up, you LIKE it? No, wait, getting back to the topic at hand."
"So, what's this about Robin?" Steve asked.
"Well, I noticed she's been spending a lot of time with Nancy," Eddie said.
"They're friends," Steve said. "What are you getting at?"
"You're not worried that Robin is developing feelings for Nancy?" Eddie said.
"Why? Because she's a lesbian and that automatically means she must have feelings for the only girl her age who's seen the same shit she has?" Steve asked. "Just because she's hanging out with a girl doesn't mean that she has feelings for her. I mean, I'm a bisexual and I hang out with Argyle a lot but that doesn't mean I have to have feelings for him. I mean, he does have really great hair."
"You have made very good points," Eddie said awkwardly.
"And even if she did have feelings for Nancy, sure, it would be weird, but I'd get used to it. Besides, I'm over Nancy," Steve replied.
Just then, the front door opened, and Robin came pouncing into the living room. Speak of the devil.
"Hey, what are you two ladies talking about?" Robin asked.
"Oh, we're just talking about the fact that Eddie thinks you have feelings for Nancy," Steve said.
Robin stared at Eddie, who blushed. She burst into laughter, leaning against the doorway. She bent over, clutching her stomach, and pointed at Eddie. He threw up his arms and covered his face with his hands. Finally, she managed to stop laughing and wiped her tear stained face.
"Me and Steve are close, but we're not that close. I've never really had a friend that's a girl before, and it's been a long time for Nancy since she's had one. Besides, Steve means too much to me. In that situation, one of us would have to put our feelings aside in order to make the other happy. I believe in any relationship, there needs to be an equal give and take. Our friendship is also a relationship even though it's platonic, and if we can't take friendships seriously, how are we supposed to take romantic relationships seriously? You know? So, even if I did have feelings for Nance, I still wouldn't be able to do anything with it because it would make me uncomfortable that Steve had once very strong feelings for her and that would make me question just how much we're alike. Are we too alike? Do we spend too much time together? Are we, in fact, combining like I suggested we should? Am I slowly turning into Steve Harrington? It's a risk that I just can't take," Robin said. "There's too much weirdness. Besides, if Steve, a man, can handle putting his feelings aside, then I, a woman, can handle it too. We're all capable of loving more than one person and finding someone else."
Eddie and Steve at her. It was the longest rambles in the history of Robin rambles.
"Okay, that last part about turning into me. Should I be offended? Also, have you thought about this before?" Steve asked.
"A little after everything that happened, but then me and Nancy talked about it. We realized that it was the trauma bond. We're really good friends who can laugh about it now. It still urks me to think about it. Plus, as pretty as Nancy is, there's no beating redheads," Robin said dreamily. "Sorry, I didn't tell you about it, Steve."
"I totally get it, but you know you don't have to sacrifice anything for me, right?" Steve asked.
"I know I don't have to, and I'm not sacrificing anything. There's no feelings, remember? Besides, your parents never sacrificed anything for you. Someone in your life should, considering you almost sacrificed your life for me, for the kids. Me giving up the possibility of a relationship is nothing compared to you nearly getting beaten to death. There's nothing to give up, anyway. I have feelings for someone else, and Nance is focusing on college," Robin said. "I love you, dingus."
"I love you too," Steve said, sniffling.
"So, Eddie, tell me why you didn't just ask me?" Robin asked as she turned to Eddie, her arms crossed.
"I was worried that Steve might still have feelings for Nancy, and I was worried about his feelings getting hurt. I was totally ready to whip out the ice cream," Eddie mumbled. "Okay, from here on out, I promise not to talk about shit I know nothing about."
"Yeah, right," Steve and Robin said.
"Or, and here's a thought, you could just go straight to the source next time," Robin said and winked at him. "I totally get why you did it. You know what, I'm going to leave you to chew him out."
They watched Robin leave and waited for the sound of the front door to close. Steve stared at Eddie, who refused to look anywhere but him.
"Eddie," Steve said. "Eddie, look at me. Other than being a good friend, was there any other reason why you were worried about me?"
"I don't know, would you hate me if I said yes?" Eddie asked.
"No, because I would be a hypocrite since I feelings for you," Steve said.
"You do?" Eddie asked, and Steve grinned, nodding.
Eddie crawled over the armchair, over the end table, causing him to knock over the lamp and crawled into Steve’s lap. He kissed Steve deeply, and Steve laughed against his lips. Eddie pushed him down onto the couch and straddled his waist, slipping his tongue into Steve’s mouth. Steve gripped his waist, sighing into his mouth and broke the kiss.
"So, we're not finishing the movie?" Steve asked.
"Nope."
"You're paying for that lamp."
"Does it have to be with money?"

more of the werewolf!stobin and vampire!edancy au bc they’re rotting my brain
- honestly i love the idea of eddie and nancy being friends
- eddie is actually very smart, he just has ADHD and has trouble focusing and doing schoolwork. nancy is the opposite, she fixates on doing well in school and often ends up overworking herself (also ADHD)
- so they help each other out; nancy helps eddie study and get his work done and eddie helps nancy learn to take breaks and relax
- plus i think nancy would be really grateful to eddie for taking mike under his wing when he needed someone who understood him (after will left) and nancy couldn’t do that for him
- steve being a werewolf is a very closely guarded secret (bc his mom finds it ‘unseemly’ and she has a reputation to uphold) so initially no one else knows
(btw vampires are seen as graceful and beautiful but deadly creatures, most of which are well-mannered and have no chance of attacking humans / while werewolves are seen as violent and aggressive and are often ostracized by humans and vampires alike)
- stancy starts dating, steve falls in love, nancy does not. eventually steve tells nancy he’s a werewolf and she’s like “ok cool but since we’re confessing stuff i’m actually not into you sorry” and he’s a bit heartbroken but he gets over it, they breakup and become good friends
- enter dustin henderson, a young satyr who runs into steve on the night of a full moon and that his wolf takes a liking to (aka that’s his little brother now). steve wakes up at the henderson’s home and dustin explains what happened. mrs henderson (who decided the moment she saw wolfy!steve carrying dustin on his back and beaming that she was going to adopt him) is also there and already has breakfast ready with a plate for steve
- eventually steve meets max lucas el and will (he’s already met mike bc of nancy but they tend to avoid each other) and his wolf decides they’re his little siblings too
(ps mike is a vampire, dustin is a satyr, max is part kitsune, will is half-druid, lucas is a werebear (yes that’s a thing) and el is part fae)
- after a bit of time steve tells them abt being a werewolf and they’re all like “oh cool. anyway” and steve smiles and shakes his head bc he loves these little shits so much
- eventually a rogue werewolf ends up in Hawkins and while steve is patrolling with hopper one night they end up finding a just-bitten robin who passed out from the pain. steve stays with robin while hop goes after the feral wolf
- steve’s wolf instincts are screaming at him “yes, keep this one. we like them. we will protect them” and he’s like yeah okay they’re kinda my responsibility anyway
- so robin wakes up on the couch at hoppers cabin with steve harrington on the floor beside her and promptly freaks out. steve explains everything to her (after she screams at him a bit a lot) and helps her through a panic attack afterwards (bc finding out you’ve been turned into a werewolf is A Lot, okay?)
- anyway, they become best friends like instantly, their wolves are super in sync and at first steve thinks he Likes robin and decides to tell her. she’s like “mmmm explain how you feel abt me” and he does and she just looks at him and gently asks “you’ve never had a genuine best friend before, have you?” and steve’s like “oh” but then robin grins and assures him “i’m proud to be your first- no wait that sounds wrong” and they collapse into giggles
(later they have a talk about Feelings and robin comes out and steve realizes maybe some of the feelings he had about tommy h and jonathan byers weren’t exactly platonic)
- then: eddie waltzes into their lives!!
(eddie was turned a few years back and went to live with wayne, keeping his ID on the downlow bc some humans (for example: his dad) are still shitty to non-humans and he didn’t want to put wayne through that)
- eddie ends up meeting nancy in one of their classes or smth, she notices he’s similar to steve in the way he can’t seem to focus in class and decides to ask if he wants to study together
- eddie’s surprised but agrees and they end up getting along really well
- when eddie realizes she’s a vampire (he knows he’s oblivious shut up) he tells her he’s one too and they become even closer

The Vampire King 4 ♰˚‧

Tumblr media
"I'm not Eddie? I'm not fucking Eddie?!" The supposed Eddie look alike shouted, making everyone raise their guards. "You know, if I wasn't Eddie," He slowly turned towards Steve. "I wouldn't know your secret." Manic laughs erupted from his mouth as he watched the fear take over Steve's face. He took slow steps, making his walk over to Steve dramatic. "I know how much you want to hide it. How much you've cried over it. How much you loathe it. How much you're enamored by it." Steve swallowed harshly, feeling all eyes on him. "Please don't do this." Steve whispered. "Huh? What was that?" Eddie put his hand to his ear, waiting for Steve to repeat his sentence. "Leave him alone." Robin chimed up, attempting to free Steve of his living nightmare.
"C'mon Stevie." Eddie whispered as he drew closer to Steve. "If... If you're the real Eddie, you wouldn't do this to us." Steve firmly spoke. "Us? There is no us. There never was. You really thought this was real?" Each of Eddie's words was like a gunshot through Steve's heart. He stood frozen, the words ringing in his ears. The dreadful truth now on full display. "Oh." Steve let the words fall from his lips, not even attempting to hide his disappointment. "You were never anything more to me than a quick fuck." Eddie let his anger flow out of his body. "I never fucking liked you." Eddie waited for a response but was only met with complete silence. "You hear me?! I never fucking liked you!" He screamed at Steve who was now on the verge of tears.
His every fear was coming true, having Eddie turn his back on him. The one thing that made him physically sick to think about, and here he is facing everything he tried so hard to deny. "You're an asshole!" Lucas shouted, causing Eddie to break his attention away from Steve. "Oh." He laughed in an eerily way. "I'm an asshole? For having a little fun with Stevie boy?" Eddie asked Lucas in a belittling manner. Lucas hesitantly nodded. Will lifted his hand towards the back of his neck, which Mike was quick to notice. "Then, you're really about to hate what's gonna happen next." Almost as if on cue the ground began to shake beneath them and low, grumbling laughs began to fill their ears. "I warned you that your world would fall." A deep, gurgling voice sent chills down the entirety of the group's spines.
"Vecna..." Lucas whispered. They quickly began to search for the crazed demon like creature, all except one. One whose eyes couldn't bare to look away from the maniac he once loved, that he still loves. "You pitful humans. Always having optimism and... hope." A dreadful laugh rumbled that seemed to encase them. "Come out, coward!" Jonathan called out into the void, but to no avail the creature did not bring himself forward. "Your world is now mine." Bats began swarming around the group. "Uhhh, I'm not liking this, brochachos." Argyle spun in a circle, looking at the bats that have now trapped them.
Nancy was the first to take action. She quickly grabbed one of the gallons of gasoline and poured it out recklessly, hoping it would fall onto the vines. Robin and Jonathan quickly took after her, mimicking her frantic behavior. "It's too late. Give up." His silhouette appeared visible as he slowly walked toward the group. "Hurry!" Mike shouted. Nancy quickly lit the lighter and tossed it into the gasoline.
The fire started quickly and the bats began dropping one by one. El kept her eyes on Vecna. He seemed to be unaffected by the raging fire. She walked forward and prepared herself for a battle she knew she would never be ready for. "Don't do this, Eleven." The voice almost sounded robotic, as if he were a toy with a sound box that was melting. "We can be one in the same." He stopped walking just before he became visible. "No." El raised her hand, starting to use her powers. She stepped forward as she used her powers to keep him in a telekinetic chokehold. The rest of the group spread apart, trying to avoid the fire, whereas Steve just continued to stare at Eddie who looked unsure of himself.
Steve studied Eddies every feature. Trying anything and everything to prove that wasn't the real Eddie, but eventually all he could find was nothing. Soon, Eddie picked up on the fact Steve was staring at him. He could sense Steve's eyes on him but refused to look towards him. It hurt. To hear Steve say that he never loved him was a pain that was unbearable, even for the undead.
"Steve! Look out!" Robin called out for Steve as the fire approached him, but he didn't move a muscle. The warmth of the fire formed beads of sweat all over his body. He was focused on Eddie. "Why aren't you moving? Do you have a death wish?" Eddie spoke with uncertainty in his voice. "What is there to live for if you aren't even alive." Eddie finally met Steve's gaze, immediately regretting it. Nancy carefully avoided the fire as she pulled Steve away from it, causing Eddie and Steve staring match to come to an end. "What the hell is wrong with you? Didn't you see the fire? Or feel the fire?!" Robin swatted Steve's arm. "Sorry." Steve spoke with a dead voice.
El continued to use her powers on Vecna, seemingly winning. Though, they should have known better than to turn their backs on someone they left to die. Eddie pulled Dustin back, holding him tightly so that he couldn't escape his grasp. "What are you doing!?" Dustin tried to squirm out of Eddie's grasp, which grabbed the attention of several people. "I'm getting my revenge, Henderson." He smirked before biting Dustin's neck, letting blood pour out. Dustin screamed as it happened, causing everyone to refocus towards the sound, including El. Steve looked at the boy, who now was dropped onto the ground, in disbelief. "Whoever said 'revenge is a dish best served cold' obviously never had it served hot." Eddie laughed as he licked Dustin's blood off his lips.

Ok I kinda am going for a different story with this one. Slow build not finding out the love interest for a while. Also billy but slightly nicer and not racist. Your nickname is Rocky cause you get into fights.
Warnings: Abuse, victim shaming, swearing, blood, bruises, sex
Tides are turning.
Tumblr media
“Bye guys!” Max said waving and leaving the car.
“God Billy I hate this town already.”
“Yeah well at least I have this car.”
“Oh shut up! As soon as you leave I’m getting my own car!” Y/n said to her twin Billy. They were twins but Y/n got held back one year due to getting very sick.
“Let’s go Rocky.”
“Shut up! You know I hate it when you call me that.”
“That’s why it makes it more fun Y/n” they left the middle school and pulled into the highschool.
Billy was wearing a denim jacket random shit and skinny jeans. Y/n was wearing a Van Halen shirt red leather jacket, black jeans and had a chain hanging from her pocket along with earrings and a small necklace.
“You look nice Y/n”
“Thanks Billy.” Then they went inside. Y/N’s first period was slow. She sat at a desk in the back corner. A guy came in late and sat next to her.
“Hey nice shirt.” He whispered.
“Thanks.” She said not really paying attention to the guy. When class finished she went to lunch.
“Hey Y/n over here!” Someone shouted and she walked over.
“Hi Billy. Who are these people?”
“I’m carol, that’s tommy.”
“Nice I’m Y/n”
“So are you Billy’s girlfriend?”
“Excuse me?” Y/n said to the other girl.
“She doesn’t look familiar?” Billy said.
“I mean you guys kinda look alike?” Tommy said.
“Cause we’re twins dumbasses.” Y/n said frustrated. She turned to Billy. “Your friends are annoying I’m gonna sit elsewhere.” He nodded.
Y/n looked around the cafeteria. She saw a lot of people. Then she saw this one guy. His hair was like really nice. He was sitting silently. He had an open seat next to him an Y/n walked over.
“Can I sit here?” She asked.
“What here?”
“Yeah?”
“Yes.” He said and then he looked up. Your hair was long and curly blond ish brown like Billy’s. Y/n sat down and looked at him. “So are you new here?”
“Yeah just moved.”
“I can tell.”
“Oh,”
“Not in a bad way sorry. I’m Steve.”
“I’m Y/n”
“Ok well nice to meet you.”
“So are you a senior.”
“No I got held back I’m a junior.”
“Oh,”
“Not cause I’m dumb or anything I just like missed a lot of time cause I got sick so I failed a year.”
“Yeah you seem smart.”
“Thanks so who should I stay away from around here?”
This sparked Steve’s attention. They got to talking he told her all about Nancy and Y/n gave him lots of valuable advice. Then the bell rang.
“Bye!” Steve said but Y/n had already ran off.
After school was over Y/n walked by the bulletin board to see if she could find a club or something. That’s when she saw that guy in her morning class again. He was putting up a flyer for bass player/singer needed.
“Hi” she said.
“Uhh oh it’s you with the shirt.”
“Yeah I’m Y/n”
“I’m Eddie.”
“Cool so you have a band?”
“Yeah Corroded Coffin.”
“Oh that’s cool.”
“Yeah I’m looking for a bass player who can sing. Know anyone?”
“Uh yeah actually.”
“Oh who?”
“Me” she said and smiled.
“Um well you can come audition tomorrow.”
“Great I’ll be there.”
“Cool bye Y/n” he said and Y/n walked outside. Billy was already by his car waiting for Y/n.
“What took you so long?”
“I was getting an audition for a band tomorrow.”
“What kinda band?”
“I’m not sure.” She said.
“Be careful you know how he gets.” He said to her.
“Yeah I know.” She said rubbing her arm. They drove home and Y/n went to her shared room with her stepsister Max. Max was nice kinda sweet a lot younger. Y/n tried to be nice to her but just saw too much of hereself in her. Y/n lost track of time playing her bass guitar when she looked at her watch. She immediately ran downstairs.
“Why are you going so fast?” Billy asked.
“I didn’t start dinner.”
“Oh shit.” Billy said and followed her downstairs. She got out a pot and immediately threw water in it and turned on the stove. Billy started chopping up vegetables and she waited for the water to boil. Then the door jiggled and Billy got out of the kitchen and sat down at the bar.
Their dad walked in.
“Y/n, Billy.” He said looking at them.
“Father.” Billy said.
“Is dinner ready?”
“Almost sir.” She said meekly.
“Speak up.”
“Almost ready sir.” She said louder. He walked into the kitchen and grabbed her hand.
“Don’t take a tone with me.”
“Yes sir.” She said and he walked away. Y/n finished cooking and soon everyone was home. They all ate dinner and Max went up to the room.
“Father I was wondering if I..”
“What?”
“Can I go to a friends house after school tomorrow?”
“Who?”
“His name is Eddie.”
“His?”
“Uh well..”
“I’ll be there. So it will be fine.” Billy spoke up.
“Hmm we’ll be home with dinner ready by 7:00 and as long as you stay with William it should be fine.”
“Thank you sir.” She said and went upstairs.
So I hope that was good for chapter 1 little Eddie little Steve. What’s gonna happen when billy shows up tomorrow though?? Surprises coming up ;)

Fuck it I’m gonna put into the void what I had in my notes of linking a main older teen character to a Party member when I was making these two posts (scene redraws + duos), I spent enough time thinking about it, I’ll shut up after lol
TL;DR
Mike -> Nancy
Lucas -> Steve
Will -> Robin
Dustin -> Eddie
El -> Jonathan
Max -> Argyle
Fruity Four -> core four, easy:
Nancy and Steve would be Mike and Lucas: having known each other quite a bit, Steve being the jock Lancer to the nerdier but fiery Nancy like Lucas is to Mike
Nancy is capable of being a de facto leader of the group the way Mike is and to be the kind of person willing to jump off a cliff/jump in the water for her friends’ sake; she’s also unfortunately polarizing in the fandom much like her brother, partly due to how her romantic relationships are being handled
Steve is loyal, has big sibling—not necessarily second parent, but specifically older brother—energy, bit of a romantic, and the closest one of the group to have one foot in the popular circles before ultimately choosing his friends over that crowd; they also both directly faced off with a blond, fandom-polarizing “top dog” type of antagonist at one point
Ironically Nancy is more of the ranger in terms of weapons like Lucas while Steve would be more of a sword swinger like Mike’s paladin
Robin coming from a lower class background, having felt like an outcast, and possessing a similar creativity and sharpness (enough to survive the UD on her own for a week) with a sarcastic streak similar to Will; “Is that why you don’t have friends?” / “He just said he dumped your ass, that doesn’t sound like a break” That’s literally her
Imagine Robin being Will, her going missing, and then Jonathan turning up in the woods around the same time; Steve being suspicious of him + of the way Nancy trusts him to help them find Robin can mirror S1 Lucas’s suspicion towards El and her intentions while really wanting to find Will
I can see Robin falling in love with Nancy like Will has for Mike; meanwhile Nancy was raised in the Wheeler household that’s so famously known for having parents that love each other, and then there’s her relationship with Jonathan
Eddie would join the group later like he did in the actual show S4 + when Dustin joined the Party later; sharp, D&D informant guy, lives with a single parental figure, sometimes boisterous and snarky, a little impulsive, would also probably be the type to foster a demogorgon baby that ended up eating something it shouldn’t
Good natured bickering Lucas and Dustin (especially in the early seasons) to good natured bickering Steve and Eddie would translate so well
That scene in S1 where Dustin enthusiastically tries to get El to levitate a toy spaceship by just dropping it in front of her while she doesn’t react lmao that’s Eddie and Jonathan
Jonathan having limited social skills, complicated father issues, and been raised in an environment neglecting to see him as the kid he is in favor of seeing him as something else, such as a grown adult or a lab subject like El; he can eventually learn to develop as his own person independent of others after years of being depended on by others (as a psychic government tool/as a parentified caretaker for his family)
He too got arrested for busting someone’s face bc they talked shit about his family
People always talk about how he looks like he wants to explode someone with his mind. How can I not make him El
Terry was a fighter like Joyce; imagine Jonathan finding Joyce in the void and calling out “Mama” to her :(
Will and El duo -> Robin and Jonathan duo; Robin and Jonathan are like written in the same font in canon (5’8, nerdy, awkward but snarky pretentious art hoes that like Nancy Wheeler), do you see my Willel/Robjon vision
Do they look alike? Not even close but someone confused Jonathan for Robin on an ST4 poster once so im running with it
Tumblr media
Why yes I am implying the Mileven/Byler triangle here would be Jancy/Ronance. I think that’s fun
Argyle is the last to join the Party, originally hailing from CA and wanting to make friends as a lonely newcomer to Hawkins; the supernatural and everything the Party deals with can be a lot, but he goes where the group goes, accepting the risk and rolling with it, sorta like he does with Cali gang in S4, driving all the way to Indiana, and learning his best friend’s little sister has powers
Initially Argyle was being left out of the loop by the group and later, despite being excited to meet him, Jonathan was probably a little dismissive of him at first like El was to Max
But they warm up to each other, and the S3 Elmax bonding where Max helps El experience being a regular kid -> Jargyle bonding where Argyle helps Jonathan experience being a regular kid kinda like S4 Jargyle with Jonathan having been able to have a friend + feel a little more like a teenager
El going to Max for relationship advice in S3 -> Jonathan going to Argyle for relationship advice
Also he’s a good driver; he was the getaway driver for Cali gang that is zoomer behavior

ST Characters with S/O with a ISTP Personality Type MiniHCs
Tumblr media
Summary: This is how your relationship dynamic goes with your favorite character, with a cold, calculated, and passionate personality type!
Warnings: None this time!
You two have very similar personality types, you're both extremely logical, honest, and passionate about doing things the way you feel is right. Your alikeness sometimes causes you to butt heads when you disagree on what the next course of action should be. You both typically result to the silent treatment in these cases, and have a hard time admitting that your feelings are hurt or that you are wrong. However, no matter what the circumstance, if you're angry with one another or not, you both share a deep love for one another that you can always rely on.
Henry Creel, Nancy Wheeler, Max Mayfeild, Lucas Sinclair, Murray Bauman
You often tend to hurt their feelings with your bluntness, and in honesty, they wish you were a little bit nicer when you spoke to them. Sometimes, you dismiss small pleasures or worries that they share with you, because you can't see why they matter to them. Because of this, they can be a little insecure when talking to you about things that they'd like you to react largely to, and this is something you try to work on. In the end, they can always see you trying to make things right that they feel you've done wrong, and love you so much for it! They know you don't mean to hurt their feelings, and that you only intend the best things for them.
Chrissy Cunningham, Robin Buckley, Dr. Alexi, Gareth Emerson, Jonathan Byers, Dustin Henderson, Will Byers, Joyce Byers
You often fight with them over your shared passion to protect one another. You both just want to see the other safe, but this is where your similarities end. They are Very hesitant with heir feelings, and tend to keep very strong ones to themselves to save a good mood, while you leave nothing unsaid. This can sometimes leave them offended by your curt nature, and they'll usually show this through a snarky remark. The bottom line though is, you both love each other very much, but there is definitely room to improve communication on both ends!
Steve Harrington, Eddie Munson, Jane 'Eleven' Hopper, Mike Wheeler, Jim Hopper
