It’s not purposeful. I just look on Pinterest and chose the picture that best fits the story and if that person happens to be Asian or white then whatever but I wouldn’t exclude a photo of any other race especially since I myself am part Jamaican.

I also try my best not to use any descriptive words when it comes to appearances in my writings so all readers can enjoy the fics.

Recently developed a bit of a Stray hyperfixation...

aroace gay David Jacobs who goes his entire childhood and adolescence thinking that something is wrong with him because everyone else talks about love and romance and he just…doesn’t get it. he knows that he’s never seen girls in a romantic way - which has its own deeply seeded terror - but he’s also never felt that way about anybody. he feels so alone as he grows up, distanced from all of his peers who talk of pining and courting others. and his family - bless them for trying, for being hopeful instead of reminding David that he’s broken and hollow-hearted as he knows he is - tell him that he’ll find the right one eventually.

David never believes them.

cue Jack Kelly, who bursts into David’s life like a firework, setting alight feelings that he never thought he’d have. it’s terrifying, it’s aggravating, and David wishes more than anything he could just be normal, but it’s impossible to deny. he cries when he realizes, because it’s not fucking fair. how could this heart-stealing cowboy awaken in David what nobody in seventeen years had been able to? this isn’t how it’s supposed to be, David is supposed to find a nice girl to wed and settle down with her and have a family.

but that thought is so wrong that it makes him sick to his stomach.

as much as he tries to will the feelings away, he gradually begins to accept them. because while he’s not supposed to feel that unfamiliar twinge in his heart when Jack smiles at him so wide and joyous, it’s there to stay.

and David finds, eventually, that there’s no other way he’d have it.

I have a lil' theory about why Jacob is worried we'll dislike Louis at the end of this season (S2 discussion spoiler warning)

I think we're going to discover Claudia was the one warning Louis about the Théâtre coven, not the other way around

Louis won't listen to her fears about the coven or Armand, leading to her death just as it happened in the books

Then after Claudia is dead and gone and he is guilt-stricken in the aftermath, he has Armand alter his memories of the event

(Louis may or may not have known of Armand's involvement in her killing. Or at the least, he wasn't aware of the extent of it)

Currently in the show, Santiago is made out to be Claudia's Machiavellian murderer, and I see two possible reasons why:

1) being, Armand has painted Santiago as the villain to absolve himself of the blame

and 2) Louis, some time after Claudia's death / murder, aware as he is in the books that Armand led the charge against her, asks Armand to make him remember a different version of events

(given Jacob is worried how fans will feel about Louis post-s2, my money is on the latter)

In the book, Claudia (to my memory) was the one who was cautious about the Paris coven. She disliked how they went about what they did, the performance of it all. She didn't trust them at all

Just like Louis feels in the show

In the book, it was Louis who wanted to remain in Paris. Louis who didn't believe Armand or the coven were a danger to them. He was too intrigued, enamored even

I am average height 5'6 and a half and all I can really think about rn is like dominating someone taller than me just making them feel so pathetic for being dominanted by someone smaller than them.

But then I also think about being dominanted by someone taller than me feeling absolutely pathetic underneath them because of how short I am compared to them.

"Today?" I sweetly asked, pleading slightly to my brother Anakin as he came in to the basement which I have called home. The basement is all I knew. It had everything I needed. New books every week for me to study and practice on. A wash area, my dining table, a good bed. The only thing it's missing is direct sunlight and human interaction.

Anakin shook his head and gave a sigh. He laid a plate of pork and carrots at my dining table, along with some raspberries. Dinner time!

"Not today, Jacob. We talked about this before. The people here aren't so kind about your practices. They will chop off your head if you tried to do any sorcery." He replied in a tired tone. Big brother must be tired from working so late.

I pout and and crawled over to my dining table. I took a handful of raspberries and pop them into my mouth. "But big brother, I won't cast fire or anything like that. Just healing spells. All I want to do is help people."

Brother shot me a glare before sighing again. He poured himself a wine before turning it into water. "Jacob, I can't afford to lose you. We talked about this and the decision is final. Now eat up, or else I'm not gathering for raspberries for you. This is all for your protection."

I pout again. Big brother can be mean sometimes. I know his intentions are pure and good to keep me safe, but I miss the sun. I miss the blue skies and woodland creatures. The people and the town.

I want to go outside. Experience it all again. Help some people. But big brother doesn't want that. He's afraid I'll vanish for good if I help too much. To be honest I'm scared of that too.

Yet, living like this has gotten rather lonely.

I finish up my dinner, still a little upset. Big brother looks tired, sitting and reading one of his books. I wonder if I become a burden to him sometimes. He doesn't like it every time I bring up the outside. Do I stress him out sometimes?

I hope not. I really do hope not. I don't want him to worry about my safety all the time.

Then again it's lonely down here. Why won't he let me outside for one day? A day is all I ask for. Big brother, why won't you let me help? That's all I wish to do.

Just a day out of this basement, is all I want.
