None. Silver hates the whole concept because who in their right mind lays down in the cold-ass fuckin snow, Ethan doesn’t like the snow getting on his clothes and melting & making everything wet, & Lyra is very ‘meh’ towards it anyway, so she doesn’t pressure anyone into doing it.

Ethan and Lyra both try to put the outfits on. Keyword ‘try’. Silver just lets them play with the outfits. It’s become tradition with him to let his cats tear apart a Santa hat each year.

Ethan and Lyra always want to go to their familys’. Silver is a bit apprehensive due to his past but he will indulge them regardless. He’s much more relaxed when visiting his father though.

… hrm. We haven’t really talked about what Ethan & Lyra’s jobs would be but Silver would probably be the most likely culprit anyway. Even though he’d be the gym leader & would only want a small little thing just to appease his gym aides, if he even has any. Someone probably spiked the eggnog w/o telling him or some shit. (lmao he’d be pissed afterwards if that were the truth.) That or he just needed the fucking alcohol to make it through the party. They’re not really his thing.

Alphys. Undyne is very underhanded when she snoops around. Besides, she’s not very confident in her wrapping abilities anyway, and her claws kinda make it difficult to do anything without tearing the paper all to shit (even though she’s a perfectionist & very gentle & her wrapping always looks insanely good to other people - it’s just never enough for her & gets her unnecessarily stressed out)

Undyne. She spends half the time hanging with Papyrus in Snowdin anyway, so why the hell not? Alphys is unused to the cold and selfconscious about her snow angel oh god it looks like shit doesn’t it I tried and I failed

The boys argue a lot, so she often has to put her field data down, sigh, and give them something more productive to expend their energies on; it’s only after they start screaming at each other while she works, however, that Kris makes the connection.

Ethan/Lyra/Silver

It takes Silver a while to muster up the courage to hold their hands in public, but Lyra’s surprised smile and Ethan’s relieved smirk do make the public embarrassment somewhat bearable.

Who initiated the first kissLyra did with Silver. Not sure who would with Ethan/Silver or Ethan/Lyra... Probably Ethan and then Lyra again. Silver, while attention starved, is also emotionally constipated. And I’d say Lyra has the most confidence out of all of them.

Who kisses the other awake in the morningHrm... Probably Lyra. Silver is more the kind of person that would either get up without waking anyone or just lay there until someone else wakes up.

Who starts tickle fightsEthan and Lyra. Silver hates them with every fiber of his being and he warns them every time that he’s not responsible for any injuries they receive in his retaliation, accidental or otherwise.

Who asks who if they can join the other in the showerSilver, though it’s usually not because he’s flirting. He just highlowkey enjoys the company. And besides, it conserves water and makes it less likely they run out of hot water in the middle of his shower.

Who was nervous and shy on the first dateEthan. He was still a little apprehensive about being in a poly relationship. Silver didn’t give a fuck and Lyra was the one confident enough to suggest they all date each other in the first place.

Who kills/takes out the spidersSilver and Lyra. Spiders don’t scare them. Lyra takes them out every time, Silver only does when Ethan’s around, because Ethan doesn’t want them hurt. Other times, Silver either squashes them or lets his cats eat/play with them.

What I like about them

Youko: I like her independent streak and how she hated being coddled by Ryuuji, Usada, the commander and even Hiromu. She wants to stand on equal ground with them, and she doesn’t want them to constantly hover about her like a helicopter parent would.

Ryuuji: His maturity. Compared to Hiromu and Youko and even Jin, he’s more levelheaded and less prone to giving into his emotions, unless his weak point acts up. I’m also a sucker for intellectual characters (which is also a reason why I love a certain handsome brilliant narcissistic physicist ☺️)

What I dislike about them

Youko: She’s stubborn, to a fault. To the point that she refuses to recognize that she needs help and gets herself or others into trouble. She’s also quite lazy in her studies, which for someone like me who worked her ass off from preschool to college is a sore spot.

Ryuuji: He coddles Youko too much. He’s overprotective to the point of suffocating her, and... well, I know a bit too much about that myself so 😂

Favorite moment

Youko: The operation to rescue Usada, which was so effective that Enter loses his shit for once

Ryuuji: The super hilarious blind date he has with that one girl who ended up rejecting him and his face was 😨

Least favorite moment

Youko: That time she was more or less exposed as a cheater in her studies and she got into a very public argument with Usada that ended up clouding their judgement and putting Usada in danger.

Ryuuji: The first time he goes berserk. That was legitimately scary.

Kinda off topic, but there was also that time I found his actor in a BL series playing a crazy-jealous guy who is roommates with Goseiger Agri’s actor of all people (the main character in the BL series who is obviously gay) and HOLY CRAP HE’S MAKING OUT WITH HIS BOYFRIEND IN A DRESSING ROOM 😱I never looked at Ryuuji the same way since

An interesting AU for these characters

I’d just love the Doboustu ‘verse to be more explored. Youko in particular has some very interesting relationships there: she’s in a love triangle with Atsushi (Green Hippo, played by Usada’s VA of all things) and Hiromu, while she has a teacher-student relationship with Ryuuji and the Commander.

Also, an AU where Hiromu grew up with Youko and Ryuuji in the EMC. This oneshot in FFN called We Burn at Different Degrees showed how Hiromu was different, but I’d also want to explore how Youko and Ryuuji were changed by that. Rika (Hiromu’s sister) too.

A crossover

With the GoRangers. The OG Sentai which is made up of members of a secret government organization. IMAGINE THE POTENTIAL ASSKICKING AND MENTOR RELATIONSHIPS RIGHT THERE (sadly it won’t happen because of KiRenger’s actor dying years ago)

With the Dekarangers and Patorangers. How does the EMC fit in with these two organizations? They’re all government affilated, but only the EMC isn’t law enforcement. Or is it?

Youko: I was a HiroYouko fan ever since the hankerchief scene. It reminded me of the hankerchief scene between Ash and Misty at the end of PokeAni’s Johto arc, and those two have been my OTP since I was eight years old...

Ryuuji: I’ll admit... this one’s a yaoi ship. Maybe Ryuuji’s actor being in that BL series just got to me. RyuuJin

Other ships?

Youko: None really? It wasn’t like she had significant relationships with people her age. Even Hiromu was 4 years older and he’s the youngest in the male cast. The only other female was Nakamura who was quite a bit older and I also ship her with Morishita

Ryuuji: Oddly... I kinda ship him with Hiromu’s sister, Rika. They’re both the more sensible, socially-savvy elder who is just exasperated with how stubborn the younger can be. They’ll bond over trying to get Youko and Hiromu together then somehow end up falling in love (to Hiromu’s horror lmao)

Youko:

Her female classmates were always envious of her during White Day because she got lots of sweets. Most of these, however, were just generic gifts from EMC staff, Ryuuji, the commander and Usada, and one from Hiromu she consumed in private because it’s “special”

Youko started gifting honmei-choco to Hiromu long before they got together. Nick and Usada noticed but didn’t say anything out of respect for Youko’s feelings.

Youko visits J once every month and they go beetle hunting.

She started knitting when she and Hiromu get married, and her first project was a cap that says “Proud Grandpa” for the Commander. He stared at it for good half minute before it sinked in

When she and Hiromu got together, she once visited his parents’ grave by herself and thanked them for having Hiromu and tying their fates together as if with a red string

Ryuuji:

His talent as an engineer prompted a few Sentai to ask him to update or rebuild their mecha. Ryuuji agreed and has kept mum about it even to his teammates

He and Rika seethed over how dense Hiromu was and how stubborn Youko was not knowing they were dating under the radar

When Hiromu and Youko named their son after him (effectively making Ryuuji his godfather) he cried for hours

Gorisaki had tried- and failed- to make Ryuuji settle down with some nice lady

Ryuuji never told anyone, but he kept in contact with Jin’s family, and told them about him being resurrected as an avatar and becoming a GoBuster only to sacrifice himself again in the end and really dying. The family understood and never held it against him and insisted on having him come over for tea at least once every few months

Hiromu for the askmeme please! This boy and his team deserves so much more love~ (Feel free to send an ask about the Busters to me too!)

Silver huffed, shaking his head roughly.

“What were you thinking, Lyra?! You know you can’t keep it from–”

“I can!“ she insisted.

“I can keep it a secret from him if you’ll just help me!”

“And why should I?!“ Silver demanded.

“That thing is your birthday present to him!”

He pointed into the other room, where a baby Lillipup was yap, yap, yapping away. It bounced eagerly at the base of Torracat’s cat tree, where the three-legged fire-type was curled at the top. He growled down at the little pup, ears flat and tail lashing back and forth.

“Oh, come on, Silver…!” Lyra begged.

“It’s just for a little while! And he’s not a ‘thing’ - don’t be mean!”

“I’m not a dog person!” Silver snapped.

“Never have been, never will be! You know that! Why can’t you just… go ask Red or something?! I’m sure he’ll just love a fluffy bouncy-ball nipping at his ankles!”

“I already did. Professor Oak is sending him and Green to another region in a couple days. Before Ethan’s birthday.”

“… Oh.”

Lyra sighed, foot tapping against the ground.

“Please, Silver… It’s just for a week and a half. You can handle him for that long, can’t you…? He’ll be safe and secret here at the gym, and then he’ll be Ethan’s. Just think about the look on his face when he sees our surprise…!”

“Don’t you go pulling that ‘our’ shit.” Silver grumbled… but Lyra could tell she was getting through to him.

“He’ll be so happy…! And when he asks how we kept it a secret so long, I can say it was all because of you! All because you were awesome enough to take him in for just a few days…!”

… Silver groaned, hanging his head in defeat.

How did Lyra and Silver get together? Like what made them realize that the other was not "that person who also dates ethan and i'm friend with" but "that person I also lowkey wanna date"

Hrm... That’s a good question. We haven’t really focused on it that much in our RPs, but I think the first hint of that happening was in the thread where they all first got together.

Lyra sat up a little straighter and slowly crossed her legs, still staring at the horizon.

“I can’t really say I’m surprised,” she admitted. “Like I said, Ethan and I have been best friends since we were five years old. We did everything together, me and him…and when we set off on our Pokemon journeys, I thought, even the distance won’t change our friendship. And it didn’t. What changed our friendship was you.”

Silver flinched softly, shifting to stare at the ground.

“… I’m sorry…”

She turned to him, her expression softening.

“Don’t be. I’m glad that I met you; I’m glad that we’re friends. And I’m glad that you’re friends with Gold too.” She shrugged, a tad painfully. “It’s just…you ended up grabbing his attention so much, you know? First as a rival, then as a friend. He talks about you all the time. And I can’t blame him. You’ve had a more interesting life than me, you’re a better Pokemon trainer, you’ve got this – this depth to you that I could never have. That sounds weird, but it’s the truth. If I was Ethan, I think I would have fallen for you too…”

Silver’s blush quickly deepened, and he snuck a glance up at her.

Also, in our RP where Silver faced the Elite Four and Lance, Lyra gave him his first kiss.

So, with all this in mind... I think Lyra’s been lowkey interested in him since before they got together. Silver, on the other hand, is demi and never really thought of being in a relationship before he realized Ethan had a crush on him. His view of dating both him and Lyra is that he trusts them both and they’re his closest friends, so there’s no one better to be his S/Os. He’s still working on the romance bit.

Lyra first kissed Silver at the Indigo Plateau after he beat Lance. As for first kisses between Ethan and Lyra or Ethan and Silver, Idk… Gonna have to keep writing and find out! :P

Lyra likes to do Silver’s hair. And his nails. And Silver really likes the attention.

5. What are three things that they love about each other’s personailty?

Silver loves that Ethan is so unfailingly kind, has heaps of faith in everyone, and how he’s so open with his emotions. And for Lyra, he loves that she takes no shit, is confident in herself and her friends, and respects her ability to work out compromises.

Ethan loves Silver for his confidence in himself as a person, his strong spirit as someone who recognized his awful behavior and took the steps to change himself, and the fact that he’s not as hard-hearted as he makes himself look. And he loves Lyra for her strong sense of justice, her courage as someone who can stand up for herself and others, and her kindness and consideration for everyone.

And finally, Lyra loves Ethan for his kindness, his sense of humor, and his cheerful, outgoing nature. And she loves Silver for his protectiveness (to a degree), his depth of character, and his no-nonsense honesty in regards to his opinion on things.

Hau

Imagine bby Hau when his dad first left. Imagine how confused & devastated he must've been. Imagine him sending letter after letter with his mom's help but only getting a few back. Imagine one day the return letters just... stop. Imagine Hau and his mom continuing to write letters until they start coming back as 'return to sender'. Imagine Hau not fully understanding why and continuing to write letters anyway, but just not sending them. Imagine him finally old enough to understand, but he keeps on writing them anyway, just because it's a little therapeutic and it's become a habit by now anyway. < Eventually he just stops sending them and keeps them in a box. He decides to give them to his dad if he ever sees him again. >

I've been thinking about how Hau may have met Nalani over the past few days, and what the circumstances might've been for Hala yelling in front of him, and just general bby Hau stuff. And I came up with some loose headcanons concerning that stuff. Hau used to go out and play with the Pichu around Iki Town all the time, and there was one that always seemed to love hanging around him no matter what, and it just... followed him home one day. Hala never liked Hau going to play with the Pichu because not every wild Pokemon is so friendly. He always lectured Hau about the dangers, especially of overaggressive Pokemon like you see charging at you in the grass and from bushes and shaking trees. Hau never really got it though - he was too young and all the Pokemon he'd met so far were friendly! This led to him getting too close to Hala's Tauros when it was worked up one day. It could've killed him and Hala was so scared for him and angry at his disobedience that he ended up shouting. This resulted in Hau being afraid of pissing off not only Hala but ANY kahuna. This is also why he says he couldn't ride a Tauros once Tauros is registered in your Ride Pager, though he's confident enough by the end of the game to learn to ride from Hala (as seen in the credits picture). Some Hau headcanons no one asked for: He is gender fluid, tho he usually defaults to he/him. His assigned gender is male, though he would sometimes feel like he was a girl even from a very young age. He'd also get annoyed when people assumed he was just playing and pretending to be a girl. So when he first heard the terminology, he was ecstatic and was like "YES I'm THAT!!!" It was a similar story for him being gay. His first ever crush was on Ilima when he was six. Ofc, Ilima is a little old for him, so he eventually grew out of the crush and is simply Ilima's friend instead. Typically, Hau stays the same gender all day, but he has been known to switch. Especially after he's listened to a song he likes that has self-referencing pronouns. Bonus Hau/Gladion headcanon - if Gladion really DOES teach himself guitar, he'll change the pronouns in any love songs for Hau's current gender. Hau loves him to death for this... (Typed on Feb. 13)

Random headcanon: Typically, when Hau gets tired, he gets more active rather than less so. He turns all giddy and bouncy and it's really hard to get him to sit still unless he's in a bad mood or was sitting still already. So when he was younger and he started bouncing off the walls more than usual, that was his family's signal for 'okay, bedtime'. (Typed on Feb. 1)

I was looking for Japanese terms of endearment and... ... Sudden Silver headcanon. He yells a lot ofc but he can't really take too much yelling himself. Especially if it's directed at him from someone he cares about. < ...what if when Silver gets yelled at by someone he cares about, even if they apologize later, he tends to crave some kind of physical affection from them so that he knows they still care about him Not that he'd show it but he wants to be loved > < If u fight with Silver, the best thing to do afterwards is give him a hug > Yep... Tbh I can't really see Silver conforming to labels. He was born a boy, that's what he's used to. Call him whatever you want, he doesn't fuckin' care, but he won't go out of his way to correct you. ... What do u think of Lusamine having Lillie take flute lessons < She probably had a strict regimen of Approved Extracirricular Activities for her kids > Yup. Lots of classy instrument lessons probably. No art tho - too messy and you can't really measure art by 'perfection'. Reading fiction was highly discouraged. Lusamine would throw out books she didn't approve of. 'Play time' was allowed with her in-game team of Pokemon, though it was more like sitting quietly while they pet the Pokés. They probs know a decent amount about sciencey shit tho they weren't supposed to go near the labs. Perfect handwriting was stressed and Lillie can and does write in picturesque cursive (it is EXTREMELY rare for her to write in print). You could ask her to do greeting cards. Toys in general were more or less frowned upon, but she allowed them to have some as long as they put them EXACTLY where they go when they're done playing. If not, the toy is thrown away. Gladion has had more toys thrown away than Lillie. No videogames. Ever. No TV either. ... Damn I feel bad just writing this... < I mean, all that would apply only AFTER Mohn fucked off to PokePelago, and we don't know how old they were when that happened. > Y E P It would probably be at least... oh, say... five years? Because the text after you battle him seems to say they pretty much acted as master/apprentice for a while. ...
