Full respect for Halloween Tradition ^_^

The mix of rich detailed textures and stark stylish lines works fantastically here, not just in its own right but also in recapturing the very particular Feel that defines the NBC aesthetic really effectively. The nicely observed look of the sliced pumpkin is particularly good, but I also like how well it carries into the distinctive body language of each character too. The shared smiles are also adorable and the perfect Link to make the dynamic here clear.

Did you all get a random video on YouTube about King Candy/Turbo that was 2 hours long, and now are like super obsessed with him?

Cuz like I'm brain rotting so much about the man. I re-watched the movie 3 times this week and I feel like I'm going insane. Then I was like "wouldn't it be a cool idea to read fanfics about him?" And then I read "Ghost Boy" by turbomun. (If you're a Turbo or just a Wreck it Ralph fan in general, I recommend pls check it out. And no I wasn't paid to say that, I srsly beg you too, so I can talk to people about it.)

And I'm drawing him so much??? It's unhealthy.

I forced my friend to watch the movie, cuz they never watched it and then I started blabbing about him the whole time. Get this, they begged me to go back into my Papyrus brain rot. Like it's embarrassing being obsessed with this man. Thank god I'm not romantically interested in the guy, cuz that would have been a whole new level to unpack. But I can't stop thinking about him.

Pls tell me I'm not the only one!!!

A Few weeks ago I read Ghost Boy by turbomun. Fanfiction/Drama. Originally written Nov-2012 to Jan-2013.

Never thought id be reviewing Fanfiction on this blog (I haven't been involved in any fandoms for years) but this did take me 2 days to read and I enjoyed it so...

This is a Wreck-It Ralph fanfiction with the classic fanfiction trope of "bad guy character looses their memories and forgets they were evil, and then the good guys get to interact with them and try to fix them".

I thought the beginning was the best part, where Turbo is in a bar angsting about how his creators made him look like a weird zombie and also physically and mentally 15 forever. and how everyone treats him like shit. and he's about to be replaced. the part where he wakes up what feels like the next morning and is told "yah you've been dead for like 25 years and your friends are also dead yah sorry." and him wondering why everyone is treating him like they think he's gonna do something bad.

I liked his interactions with Vanellope, they were very cute. i also liked his arc of feeling like he can act like the kid he is and not forcing himself to act like an adult. oh also I really liked the part where he puts his coin in the cup and it spits out his other name.

Now getting into the stuff i thought was mid: the Jackel & Hyde fanfic trope has never been my favorite, it's very emo and kinda cringe (in a bad way). i wasn't bothered to much by it's inclusion but i did groan when it showed up and i kinda wish the story hadn't gone in that direction. I didn't love the way a lot of the characters, especially Turbo, were super aware of what they were feeling and why, and said it out loud in these weird speeches. it felt very unsubtle and not how real people act, especially teenagers. the prose in this story were nothing to write home about. they weren't bad, but they wernt a highlight ether. they got the job done.

A decent fanfiction. Flawed but still enjoyable. 7/10

Have I mentioned that I really like Turbo from Wreck it Ralph? He's such a scrunkly.. I Re-Read the fanfic "Ghost Boy" by @turbomun and I couldn't resist.. (also Turbomun if you read this, Ghost Boy would've been a better sequel to the first movie than what we've been served istg.. I genuinely love this fic and it's absolutely worth re-reading)

#1 The Main Racer:

Vanellope Von Schweetz (D-Side)

Alias: Teen Vanellope

Created and inspired by: Turbomun

• Princess Vanellope is an energetic young girl, lively and full of spunk. Curious and fun-loving, she's adventurous, enthusiastic and determined. Although she can be sassy, feisty and teasing, she has a sweet pure heart and is friendly, kind and forgiving. She is innocent but optimistic, and always tries to see good in people. While Vanellope doesn't particularly mind being Princess, she sees herself as a better racer than a ruler. As a natural tomboy, she prefers being casual as opposed to formal, proper and ladylike, and often attempts to avoid having to do "boring royal stuff." She doesn't see herself above anyone else just because she's royalty, but is still caring and helpful to everyone in the Kingdom whether or not she's wearing a crown. Vanellope, like her best friends, loves racing and is very passionate about it. Even though they may sometimes disagree, she loves her fellow racers and looks up to them more than anyone else.

#2 The Sugar Rush Trio:

1. Taffyta Shortcake (Taffyta Muttonfudge D-Side)

Inspired by: Strawberry Shortcake from Bitty City Adventures

• Taffyta Shortcake is not only the cool, most popular racer in Sugar Rush, but a hard-working woman who runs the Sugar Rush Cafe and later, the Sugar Rush Market. Taffyta Shortcake is open-minded and very kind, her guidance or opinion is sought out by many. Unlike her original counterpart (Taffyta Muttonfudge), She has a twin sister named Strawberry Shortcake who is far far away, living in Berry Bitty City as they both have something in common. Taffyta Shortcake is the first leader of the Sugar Rush Trio.

2. Count Roman Chocula (Rancis Fluggerbutter D-Side)

Inspired by: General Mill's Count Chocula cereal and Reese's Puffs

• Roman Chocula is the son of Count Chocula, just like his father, he behaves like a friendly version of Dracula. However unlike his father, he's not cowardly, or easily frightened by other supernatural creatures and general jump scares either. He softens goes tired of his father having petty arguments with his fellow Cereal monsters over whose Cereal is better. of whose Cereal is better. He has 3 mothers that married to Count Chocula known as The Brides of Chocula; Darla Chocula (her theme is Dark Chocolate), Winnie Chocula ( her theme is White Chocolate), and of course Pamela Chocula (Her theme is Peanut Butter). He is also often to hang out with his fellow friends Taffyta Shortcake and Lucy Candlehead as they're all part of the racers' trio. He is the second member of the Sugar Rush Trio.

3. Lucy Candlehead (Candlehead D-Side)

Inspired by: Luigi from the Super Mario Bros series

• Lucy Candlehead is portrayed as timid, cowardice, worrisome and self-conscious in many of her appearances, especially since Candlehead's Mansion. In spite of these shortcomings, Lucy can be heroic and overcome these setbacks, such as in the Candlehead's Mansion series, where she goes on various journeys to rescue her brother Mark Candlehead. Clearly she's an Italian racer who has the same personality as Luigi himself and lives in her mansion where all the ghosts that have been haunting and bothering her for quite sometime and yet she gets annoyed, while her brother Mark is working in the Panetteria making sweet italian pastries. She's also the third member of the Sugar Rush Trio.

#2 The Crazy Criminal & The Cool Cop:

Cherrylina Bomb-Bomb (Jubileena Bing-Bing D-Side)

Inspired by: Harley Quinn from DC universe

• Cherrylina Bomb-Bomb is a former girlfriend of the Jell-O Joker and is currently a single woman. Since breaking up with Jell-O Joker, she has led and founded a ragtag crew of villainous misfits and briefly became a member of the Legion of Lord Licorice. Afterwards, Cherrylina realizes she does not feel like a villain anymore and decides to be a vigilante as a crimefighter. In the end, Cherrylina realizes the fact she is not hero material and thus leaves her vigilante skills, later joining the newly created, Sugar Rush Sirens. She is known to be the Mistress of Mayhem and the Jester Princess of Crime.

Officer Citrusella Blueburry (Citrusella Flugpucker D-Side)

Inspired by: Judy Hopps from Zootopia & Sonic the Hedgehog

• Citrusella Blueburry is a fiercely optimistic and independent. Since childhood, she had harbored a dream to become a police officer, to make the world a better place. She cares for well-being of others, and is always willing to extend a helping hand. Officer Citrusella hates oppression and staunchly defends freedom. Although she is mostly quick-witted and easygoing, she has a short temper and is often impatient with slower things. Officer Citrusella is a habitual, daredevil police officer and racer who is honest, loyal to friends, keeps her promises and dislikes tears. She's a mix of both Sonic and Judy Hopps's personality. She is known as the Blue Blur Police and the Fastest Driver Alive.
