"Here's the fact of the matter, Tsunayoshi-kun, you can scream, thrash, and beg all you want, climb to the rooftops and wail, but you cannot force Harmony with any Flame if they have any opposition to it in them."
Tsuna quietly absorbed that info, parsed through it, and quietly sank into a crouch as it all came crashing down.
What he knew of Sky Flames, and his own Seal, and the entire incident with Nono and Xanxus, the pure resentment in Viné's tone whenever she spoke of the man he vaguely remembered calling 'Jii-chan', what little he knew of other Cloud's, Hibari-san and the few subordinates Viné kept on hand.
"Your Flames find my Sky sickening, don't they? They stifle you." He pieced together, picking his words carefully, making sure that he didn't insult her in an implication that his Flames didn't find hers appealing.
They didn't, they never would, Viné burned and burned and burned with such intensity that his own quiet Sky, the Harmony he was trying so hard to establish, was practically hiding in the metaphorical corner.
(Tsuna's Flames were desperate, he knew that distantly, acknowledged it in a way that few would, he wanted Harmony while only just barely grasping what it meant.
And he knew, in a way that ached and festered, that it wasn't just the sheer incompatibility between them that made Viné's Cloud leave scars every time it brushed against his Sky.
Something Wrathful and ugly had seeped into her Flame's so deeply it was as though they were one and the same, and yet, never once did it seem as though it weighed on her...
If anything, it was as though it aided in the airy quality of how she moved.)
"I know your kind Tsunayoshi-kun," she said, approaching something almost gentle, "and I have spent my entire life under men who thought themselves so much better then the last one, who thought I was glass, something to be put on a shelf to look pretty until I gave them an heir," she wets her lips, her revulsion not quite escaping him despite her desperate attempt at kindness, "at which point I would do nothing more then waste away in a bed, die, and be remembered as some great tragedy by them and their sons, I watched it happen with my mother, I refused to live it myself."
Here she sunk to his level, hands clasped over her knees.
"Your Sky treats me like fragile glass even now Tsunayoshi-kun, you still see me as I appear, this frail ghost that's barely there."
Her hands cupped his cheeks.
"My Sky was not subtle in his Courting of my Flames, less was he interested in subtle flirtations," she explained easily, thumb smoothing over the curve of his cheek, "he wanted the parts of me that were serrated and jagged, ugly and hidden, bloody and rotting."
A smile, a cruel turn of the lips, so very sharp.
"And so, I decided I wanted to cut hard enough to make him second guess it all."

The sketch was drawn in 2021 but I didn’t have enough time to finish the art at that time, and then I totally forgot about the sketch. ^^; I could finish this fanart only now.

To this day I think that khr did gave us one of the easiest yet most entertaining sorting systems in animanga. I can spend hours and hours and hours sorting characters on the sky element/attributes system. Easy logic, concise explanation, made for found families and friend groups, all the fun and none of the nuance.
For the ones who doesn't know, it goes like this:
SOME STORY CONTEXT (not really important):
Katekyo Hitman Reborn! is a manga about an Italian mafia family that is in need of a successor, but everyone has been killed except Tsunayoshi Sawada, a japanese kid that is The Loser™. The Vongola, said mafia family, send a hitman that happens to be in a baby form to train him and protect him: Reborn. He trains Tsuna by shooting him on the head with a Vongola special bullet, the Dying Will Bullet; if the person shot has regrets, they will reawaken (only the underwear survives at first) with a flame on their head, the Dying Will Flame. As long as the flame last, the person is on Dying Will Mode and their abilities are enhanced, almost like a super or something, by turning all the internal safety switches off.
Tumblr media
THE BASIC TERMS FOR YOU TO KNOW:
What we care about is the Dying Will Flame. It is a form of high-density energy refined from one's own life force. The Dying Will Flame has similar properties to a real flame and it has levels of purity (the greater the resolve of a person, the clearer and most powerful a flame will be), attributes (different flame elements; you can be born with multiple attributes, but it can't be learn without a previous affinity), and types (in the manga there are the Seven Flames of Sky and the Seven Flames of Earth; we'll be talking about the Seven Flames of Sky only, as to not give major spoilers).
In the KHR! World, the users can channel their Dying Will Flames through tradional weapons to attack or they can use them to open up certain special devices with different purposes (including functions as containing more weapons or food or daily life objects). However, the most notorious use is for the mafia bosses and their guardians, their inner circle of subordinates. Using seven rings specially made to channel the Dying Will Flame, they can fight or use them on their pure form to attack, defend and even heal others.
NOW, THE REAL FUN. THE SORTING.
As the name says it, the Sky Flames are divided in seven attributes (also called elements). Those are named after phenomenons that happen on the sky: Storm, Rain, Mist, Lightning, Sun, Cloud and Sky itself.
Traditionally, the Sky was viewed as a leader attribute and their users' mission was mainly to understand, accept and influence their subordinates. Something like the sky, that encompasses all the other phenomenons and allows them to be as their are. However, for the sake of having fun, you could give the "leader" of your group another attribute and play with the role of the sky flame!
Tumblr media
THE SEVEN FLAMES OF SKY !
SKY FLAME: as said before, it's the common attribute for the leaders. That's because A) the Sky Flame can achieve the greatest level of purity and B) it can open any special device. It symbolizes the extensive and all encompassing influence of the Sky over the other elements. It's personal attribute is HARMONY and it's role is to balance things out. The Sky Flame color is orange.
STORM FLAME: an attribute common for the relentless, the Storm Flame user should be the unstoppable base of attacks of the family / group. It symbolizes the storm that fiercely spins with no end and for that its attribute is not other than DISINTEGRATION. The Storm Flame can only open special devices made for itself and its color is red.
RAIN FLAME: the role of the Rain Flame user is to prepare the family / group for the fight, cleaning the blood spilled and bringing the calmness factor. It can also only open the special devices made for the same element, but as it is to be expected, its attribute is TRANQUILITY. The Rain Flame is blue and it symbolizes the flood that cleans it all.
CLOUD FLAME: the untouchable users of the Cloud Flame are known for acting as a distant floating cloud that cannot be contained and follows its own path. Its another element that can only open special devices made for itself, but the Cloud Flame color has more a purple tone and its attribute is PROPAGATION. Their role is to protect the family from the outside and never get caught.
MIST FLAME: with a lilac tone, the Mist Flame belongs to those who pretend something exist or not to confuse the enemies and protect the real form of the family / group. As all the other elements, this Dying Will Flame can only open special devices that match its signature type. Its attribute is CONSTRUCTION and, as you cna imagine, it symbolizes the untouchable fraudulent illusion.
LIGHTNING FLAME: more than anything, the Lightning Flames is known for striking with remarkable force. Its attribute is HARDENING and, its color is green and as all the rest except for the Sky Flame, it cannot open special devices that doesn't match its attribute. The role of these users is to absorb the damage to the family / groups like a lightning rod.
SUN FLAME: At last, the Sun Flame has a yellow color and its attribute is known as ACTIVATION. Those users of the Sun Flame must destroy whatever is unfortunate for their families / groups with their own bodies and shine like the sun over all the rest. It is the sixth flame that cannot open any special device not mafe for itself and it symbolizes the sun that brightens up the sky.
TO SORT YOUR CHARACTERS all you have to do is think about what description they match better. You can follow the khr canon and sort characters by groups of seven first, one for each attribute, and if you have more then you can sort them as special characters. Or you can match it the way you better like it, disregarding order and putting (for example) three rain flame users in one family with not sun flame user in sight.
Feel free to link this plot in your owns or reblog it to explain to your users how the Dying Will Flame thing works! And don't forget: this sorting it's for you to enjoy.

Today I headcanon the Straw Hats with what their flame type from Hitman Reborn would be. Since not everyone knows what the flame types of Hitman Reborn are, I’ll make a separate post later talking about them. Let’s get started:
• Luffy-Sky and Sun: Man draws everyone towards him, encompassing all like the sky, while also having a ton of sun motifs and lighting up peoples lives.
• Zoro-Storm and Lightning: Everyone’s favorite swordsman, Zoro destroys his enemies with relentless attacks, while also drawing them away from the rest of the crew.
• Nami-Cloud: Clouds float alone, only joining up to bring the rain, and no one does that better than Nami.
• Usopp-Mist: Striking from the shadows and from afar, hiding their allies from sight, Usopp is the perfect sniper.
• Sanji-Mist and Lightning: Sanji is great at sneaking around and also excellent at protecting his allies from harm.
• Chopper-Sun and Rain: A light that brings life to all and a flow that washes away the dust, perfect for a doctor intent on creating medicine for all diseases.
• Robin-Mist: An assassin that is also book smart, Robin is not afraid to shield those she loves.
• Franky-Storm: This cyborg brings the pain with a radical beam that is relentless in its destruction.
• Brook-Sun and Rain: At an angle of 45 degrees, our musically inclined skeleton brightens the day with a jaunty tune and washes away foes with an icy chill.
• Jinbei-Sun and Rain: He makes his allies happy, and is known for causing a flood to sweep away those who would threaten his friends.
That’s all of them. If you like Hitman Reborn, I would love to hear your thoughts about these headcanons and which ones you would recommend. For my One Piece fans, if there’s a character that you would love to see headcanon for, my asks are open, and I would be thrilled to work on that for you. Thank you!

Hello and welcome to Day 11 of "Let's Explore My Plot Bunnies"
Tumblr media
Today I wanna talk about a plot bunny that has been on and off inside my brain and that, currently, has been going nuts ever since I explained the MDZS Magic Kaito AU.
The fandom for this plot bunny is not one I have spoken about on my blog yet - Katekyo Hitman Reborn.
More precisely, I have this as a Kakeyo Hitman Reborn (Detective Conan AU).
Working title: (A Mafia Boss?) No, I am a detective.
The idea starts with a change brought by the sealing of Tsunayoshi's Sky Flames.
Basically, instead of stunting his growth and clouding his mind (and you can't tell me those symptoms weren't at least halfway caused by the seal), Tsuna's seal acts a bit... weird. Weird as in, Tsuna ends up with "Kudo Shinichi Levels of Luck in Finding Dead Bodies."
Because of this, not only is Tsuna constantly encountering criminals (big or small), but also he is pretty much adopted by the police department of Japan. Yes, all of it. (Don't ask him how he ended up with more uncles and aunts than there are kids in his class.)
Tsuna, since he is pretty much followed by death everywhere besides his home and Namimori School (where Tsuna doubts even Gods would try to start shit because Hibari Kyoya is scary as fuck), ends up gaining an interest towards the law and towards the work of a detective. Hibari Kyoya, whose family is part of the police force, definitely approves.
In fact, he approves so much that he is giving lessons in self-defence (read: beating up) to Tsuna from a young age. All Kyoya has to say is that the "sky omnivore" is promising.
As the years go on, Tsuna ends up with a rag-tag team of kids that help him (read: get themselves involved) in solving murders/kidnappings. Tsuna even has a phantom thief that he faces every other week against. (I DO want to make that phantom thief be Kaito KID just because he is definitely a Mist Flame with Lightning secondary and Cloud Tendencies.)
The end result is that when Reborn comes to tutor Tsuna for the position of Vongola Heir, Tsuna has already (mostly unknowingly) gathered a separate set of Guardians on his own; is already trained by Hibari Kyoya in hand to hand combat and trained in armed combat by the police and, most importantly, IS part of the police force... and is vehemently against taking the position of Vongola Heir.
(Reborn is really going to kill Iemitsu for his blatant disregard towards his family's daily affairs. The idiot COULD'VE stopped his own child from joining the police force if he cared enough.)
Things to note:
Tsuna can still get his canon Guardians in this, but the way and the order in which he gets them will be different.
Hibari Kyoya is still scary as all hell in every universe, this one included. He is just more Alaudi (or was it Alaude?) coded than before cause handcuffs are more prominent in detective/police work.
Byakuran is probably gonna start laughing like crazy for about half an hour when he learns Tsuna is with the police force. Why? Because the irony of World's Best Mafia Boss (in other universes) being a detective and member of the police force in this universe is killing him.
Let Tsunayoshi have friends. Like seriously. Let him make friends through this profession/curse of his. (Whether the friends he makes OUTSIDE of Japan are part of the Mafia or not is another story)
Iemistu fucked up by not being around his family more. Now, he is definitely paying the price... Reborn wants to take his kneecaps as compensation for the bullshit he has to deal with now.
So, what do you think? Good? Bad? Let me know!
Honestly, I have soo many ways through which the seal could affect Tsuna and make him go a different path in life. But the Mafia still catches up to him. At least in this AU, Mukuro should be more... chill towards Tsuna cause he makes it clear he is part of the police - which isn't that much better in retrospect, but at least Tsuna is not ,nor does he want to become a Mafia Boss. Also, Tsuna probably has memorized all laws of Japan but mathematics still give him a headache (mostly because of his teacher).
Either way, I will end it here for today. I hope you guys have a great day/night and that you take care of yourselves!
See you tomorrow,

All this talk about Reborn's got me thinkin' about the Unione Famiglia
[Note: I had to take a few liberties with how Dying Will Flames actually work, but I'm pretty proud of what I came up with]
Sky
Juiz - as the first head of the Unione Famiglia, naturally Juiz uses the Sky Flame. Box Weapon: Fierbois Saber - using the Sky Flame's Harmonization characteristic, Juiz converts enemy Flames into Sky Flames, allowing her to disarm opponents and turn their Box Weapons against them. Box Animal: Lion (Julia) - same as above, Julia's roar turns Box Animals against their owners
Billy - originally masquerading as a Storm Flame-user, Billy revealed his true identity as the leader of Sotto, a rogue faction of the Unione Famiglia. While a part of Unione, Billy reverse-engineered the Box Weapons of as many key members as he could, replicating their abilities with his Sky Flame. Weapon: Revolvers - Billy fires concentrated Sky Flames which he can combine with other Flame attributes for various effects. Animal: German Shepherd (Veronica) - acts as a seeing-eye dog and helps direct Billy's aim
Earth
Fuuko - though initially believing herself to be a jinx, Fuuko learns that she had been unconsciously using the Gravitation characteristic of her Earth Flames to draw foreign objects to people she made contact with, often leading to accidents. With deliberate control, Fuuko has gained the ability to increase the attraction between any two specific targets and can even summon meteorites. Weapon: Handgun - Fuuko can fire Earth Flame bullets that carry a gravitational pull and hone in on a target or give a target pull as if she touched them. Animal: Tanuki (Andou) - can touch opponents in Fuuko's stead to transfer the gravity effect
Storm
Nico - having conducted extensive research into Dying Will Flames, Nico is adept at using all attributes other than Sky, Earth and Night for a variety of combat situations, though he primarily uses Storm and Lightning for their offensive and defensive capabilities. Weapon: Psycho-Pods - each Pod corresponds to a different attribute, with different combinations producing a wide range of abilities. Animal: Lab Rats x 12 (Tesla, Einstein, Edison, Curie, Darwin, Newton, Hawking, Bohr, Sagan, Kepler, Rutherford, Nobel) - each rat has been trained to mimic the abilities of other Union members, allowing Nico to recreate their fighting styles, albeit in a simplified manner
Mui - Weapons: Gloves/Broadswords- by channeling Storm Flames through her weapons, Mui's attacks Disintegrate whatever they strike. Basho Fan - when swung, the Basho Fan produces gusts of wind that carry Storm Flames to extinguish enemy Flames. Animal: Panda (Didi) - mimics Mui's fighting style and also strikes with Storm Flames
Swamp
Rip - Weapons: Scalpels - using the Swamp Flame's Fermentation, anything cut by Rip's scalpels begins to rot; biological targets have their ability to heal impeded by this process. Prosthetic legs - when kicking, Rip can launch concentrated, blade-like bursts of Swamp Flame; he can also use their Fermentation to manipulate gases in the air, producing jets that allow for flight. Animal: Horse (Iseult) - mostly used for transport rather than combat, Iseult can also fly using Fermentation
Lucy - unconsciously, Lucy's Swamp Flames excite her microbiome, causing her to be consistently sick; with proper control of her Flames, Lucy would likely be able to create a sort of "Swamp Flame Sickness" that she could weaponize to make enemies ill, though she likely wouldn't even if given the opportunity. Weapon: Pan tunic - similar to Rip, Lucy channels Swamp Flames through her Peter Pan costume in order to fly. Animal: Butterfly (Tinker Bell) - by sprinkling it scales on a target, Tinker Bell can share Lucy's Swamp Flames and grant limited flight abilities to others
Sun
Andy - formerly known as Victor, Andy was created when Juiz forced a card charged with Sky Flames into his skull, erasing his memories by neutralizing them via Harmonization. Unusually, Andy is able to enter Dying Will Mode voluntarily, channeling his Sun Flames through his body. Using his Flames' Activation characteristic, Andy's body is able to rapidly recover from any wound, and even propel lost body parts as projectiles. Andy is also quite adept at using Lightning Flames, which he uses to Soldify his spilled blood. Weapon: Kurikara - using Lightning Flames, Andy makes his katana near-indestructible; with his Sun Flames, Andy can swing Kurikara at incredible speeds. Animals: Wolf (Victor) - upon taking damage, Victor can use Sun Flames to create temporary clones from lost body parts, effectively creating an entire wolf pack very quickly. Andy is unaware why he thought to name his wolf Victor, the name seemed to just pop into his head. Silkworm (Clothy) - as Andy's clothes get damaged easily due to his fighting style, he uses Activation to spur Clothy's silk creation, perfectly tailoring clothes for himself within seconds. He does attempt to make the clothes more durable with Lightning Flames, though this often simply doesn't prove effective
Top - Weapons: Shoes - when charged with Sun Flames, Top is able to move at incredible speeds while also easing the fatigue that would normally come from moving so fast. Runner's Regalia - by wearing armor charged with Haruka's Lightning Flame, Top is able to move even faster by ignoring the damage that he would normally incur due to wind resistance while also gaining greater offensive output. Animals: Roadrunners (Miguel and Pedro) - a pair of birds that help guide Top as his dynamic vision becomes impaired while moving at highspeed
Forest
Ichico - inexplicably, Ichico suffers from a form of insomnia that makes it impossible for her to sleep. Using the Forest Flame's Realization, Ichico creates flowers that help to ease the negative effects of this insomnia. Animal: Octopus (Oxford) - riding on Ichico's head, Oxford grows vines to create additional limbs to perform tasks for Ichico
Bunny - Bunny manifests large flower bulbs to completely envelope her targets and render them immobile. Animal: Rabbit (Pikilienta Pohles) - "Pipipenda Pohpepu" as Bunny calls it plants seeds in the ground to help set traps for targets, ensnaring enemies when they get close enough
Lightning
Haruka - as a smith, Haruka's greatest ability is for improvising creations on the fly, greatly aided by her Lightning Flame's ability to draw in and bind materials with its electromagnetic properties. Weapons: Isshin Armor - using the Lightning Flame's Solidification characteristic, Haruka's armor becomes near-indestructible. She can also use magnetism to rearrange the armor's arrangement as necessary for different scenarios. Naginata - though unskilled in its use, Haruka can harden and electrify her naginata to make it an effective weapon regardless. Animal: Tortoise (Tesshu) - with its hardened shell, Tesshu serves as an anvil for Haruka to forge weapons and armor upon for her teammates.
Kururu - Weapon: Microphone - using the electrical properties of her Lightning Flames, Kururu creates a magnetic field that pulls others towards her. Animal: Ostrich (Kogomi) - Kogomi dances alongside Kururu to generate a greater magnetic field that both reaches further and is harder to resist
Mountain
Phil - Weapon: Entruster - rather than a traditional Box Weapon, Phil's entire robotic body is capable of channeling his Flames. By using the Mountain Flame's Synchronization, Phil can assimilate minerals such as stone or metal to alter the shape and capabilities of his body. Phil can also fire concentrated blasts of Mountain Flame to devastating effect. Animal: Worm (Ayatori) - Ayatori gathers rocks onto its body, making itself larger to wrap around enemies and constrict them. Outside of battle, Ayatori is quite small but long, and Phil often plays Cat's Cradle with the flexible worm
Void - Weapon: Boxing gloves - by controlling the earth around him, Void can shift the ground to grab onto his opponent's feet, making it difficult to evade his attacks; he can also gather stone into a large gauntlet or full armor, greatly increasing his striking power. Animal: Rottweiler (Bison) - while Void fights, Bison helps gather material for powering up Void's gloves more quickly
Rain
Yusai - Weapon: Katana - by launching Rain Flame slashes at her opponent's Ring Boxes, Yusai uses their Pacification characteristic to prevent them from channeling Flames and activating their effects. She can also target her opponent's body to render them numb, also preventing them from taking action. Animal: Crane (Gekkou) - by flying above the enemy, Gekkou secretly rains Rain Flame down onto the arena, preemptively disabling their ability to use Box Weapons
Enjin - Weapon: Gakuran - channeling his Rain Flames through his outfit, all of Enjin's attacks carry the ability to extinguish enemy Flames. Animal: Boar (Banka) - coated in Rain Flames, Banka charges into the enemy, forcibly extinguishing their Flames
River
Gina - Weapon: Beret- coating her hat in River Flames, Gina focuses the Flame's ability to control fluids such as water and air to create transparent constructs such as blades, though with practice she finds she can make constructs without a focal point. Animal: Jellyfish (Shinohara) -using River Flames, Shinora is able to become transparent and form barriers and limb-like constructs to aid Gina in battle
Tella - Weapon: Speakers - by manipulating the fluidity of soundwaves, Tella can create powerful defensive barriers in the air. Animal: Parrot (Morse) - as Tella is mute, Tella can transmit soundwaves to speak through Morse
Mist
Akira - Weapon: G-pen - by channeling Mist Flames through his pen, Akira can Construct real illusions with his drawings. Animal: Squid (Anno Un) - by spreading Mist Flame-empowered ink, Anno can render itself and Akira undetectable
Creed - Weapon: Gatling gun - rather than casting illusions, Creed Constructs ammunition for his gun, giving him effectively unlimited ammo. Animal: Bombardier beetles x50 (Units 1-50) - when thrown, Creed's Units Construct and launch fragments, incendiaries, gases, or flashes of light, allowing them to serve as reusable grenades
Desert
Sean - though a weak illusionist, Sean is adept at using his Desert Flame's Hallucination ability to render himself invisible. However, to keep the "sand" from getting in his eyes, he often finds himself closing his eyes when using this ability. Weapon: Butterfly knife - Sean is able to turn his knife invisible, but generally he uses it when he is already invisible himself, so there's no particular advantage to this. Animal: Chameleon (Irmao) - also able to turn invisible, Irmao is not blinded by the use of the Desert Flame, and serves as a guide for Sean while his eyes are closed
Latla - Weapons: Crystal ball - instead of creating illusions per se, Latla uses her Desert Flames to conjure images of the future in her crystal ball as a form of fortune-telling. Broomstick - powered by her Flames, Latla's broomstick serves as effective aerial transportation. Animal: Ladybug (Leila) - able to sense oncoming Flames, Leila warns Latla of oncoming attacks and generates a field of Desert Flames to distort her image, making attacks miss Latla
Cloud
Shen - using the Cloud Flame's Propagation characteristic, Shen can attach his Flames to an opponent's body or Box Weapons and assimilate a part of their Flames. This gives him moderate control of the affected area, allowing him to force the opponent to move in ways that they don't expect, particularly when they're distracted while initiating an attack. Weapon: Nyoi-Kinko - using the Cloud Flame's Propagation, Shen's staff can extend or expand at will. Animal: Monkey (Wukong) - able to concentrate Cloud Flames into a literal cloud, Kinto'un, Wukong provides Shen with aerial transportation
Feng - using his Cloud Flame's Propagation, Feng has developed a technique to feed on the Flames of defeated opponents, resulting in seemingly perpetual youth. Weapon: Zuishin Tekkan - by charging the rod with Cloud Flames, Feng changes the rod's shape between a staff, a tri-sectioned staff, and nunchaku, each with variable length depending on the amount of Flame used. Animal: Macaque (Liu'er) - just like Shen's Wukong, Liu'er concentrates Cloud Flames into a mount for Feng, known as Kokuto'un
Glacier
Tatiana - Animal: Hedgehog (Klubnika) - using the Glacier Flame's Freezing ability, Klubnika expands its body to encase Tatiana in a sphere of ice that she can manipulate at will. Tatiana can expand its radius, reshape it into a cylinder for a more focused strike, scatter fragments in all directions, and even create limbs for greater precision. This ice is so versatile that Tatiana does not require any other weapons
Chikara - Weapon: Camera - by focusing on a target through his camera, Chikara can designate where to conjure his Glacier Flames to freeze a target in place. Animal: Deer (Ryo) - as Chikara has to focus on a relatively small area to use his weapon, movement is difficult, so he relies on Ryo to maneuver him to the most advantageous position in battle
Night
Ruin - though unknown what his original Flame attribute was, having his Flame drained from his body nearly killed him; however, his Dying Will resurrected him with the Night Flame. As a resurrected corpse, Ruin is effectively immortal, able to use his Night Flames to turn his body incorporeal when taking damage. Animals: Cat (Shadow) - using the Night Flame's Transportation characteristic, Shadow allows Ruin to effectively teleport. Bat (Blood) - on Ruin's command, Blood creates constructs out of Night Flames that can easily bypass enemy defenses

Right, i’m in the mood to get the main section of the Extended Flames AU written, so lets go!
(This diverges from canon lore a lot. As in, i’m making a whole new set of Flames and weaving them into canon lore.)
So, if you’ve watched/read KHR up to the ring battles (or read any long fanfic) you should know the basics of Flames, right? Sky + Guardians, Harmony, Sets, all that. If you got up the Shimon Arc (or, again, read any long fanfic), you should at least know of Earth Flames.
So that’s two alignments for Flames- Sky and Earth.
Now, coming out of fandom for a second, and moving to the connotations of numbers. A lot of the time, two is a number that represents balance. However, in KHR, that number is three- the Tri-Ni-Sette is in three sets (Arcobaleno, Mare, Vongola), and was created to keep the world in balance.
Which is why the concept of there only being two alignments of Flames kinda throws me off a bit.
Then, i thought back to when Basil was introduced. The first time we properly see Basil, he’s in HDWM. His Flame is blue. Now, canaconically, Basil is a Rain. However, he is the only character who is not an Earth or Sky to have access to HDWM. This means one of two things- either Basil is an outlier, or he has access to something similar to the Harmony/Gravity characteristic of Sky/Earth Flames.
Now, if Basil is an outlier, he’s an outlier. Point explored, headcanon over. But if you look at the second point, that can be explored. There are two explanations for Basil’s Flame. One- He’s a Serene Sky (A Rain with a Sky Secondary). Two- He isn’t Sky or Earth Aligned, and instead, he is the ‘Ruling Aspect’ of a third alignment. If you actually look at Basil’s Flame, it shows no Rain aspects apart from Tranquillity. It is too bright to be Rain, and it doesn’t share the Rainy pattern that both Squalo and Takeshi’s Flame does. Logically, it doesn’t make sense for Basil to be a Rain. But Basil’s Flame does share patterning with Sky and Earth.
Which is where i really started to obsess over this.
I had an idea, now i needed a name. I wanted to stick with the ‘kinda elemental, kinda nature’ theme KHR has going. Looking over traditional elements- Fire, Earth, Air, Water. (Fire is represented by the power as a whole- Flames. Earth is self-explanatory, Air is represented by Sky. So Water it was.) Similarly, KHR uses Sky and Earth- two things that are obviously commonly found in nature. I needed a water-oriented similar thing. We have Seas, and i considered using the Seven Seas as names, but no. I ended up with Ocean Flames. So, Basil has Ocean Flames.
And yes, i did build a whole set of seven Flame Types to go with Ocean Flames, and linked them with Sky and Earth counterparts;
Sky - Earth - Ocean
Storm - Swamp - Wave
Sun - Forest - Tide
Lightning - Mountain - River
Rain - Tundra - Glacier
Mist - Desert - Abyssal
Cloud - Jungle - Foam

Note
for BNHA x KHR Crossovers I love the idea that Skys are only Quirkless
(there too op otherwise)
also since skys are harmony they can modify the vibes of their flames and cheat to get other flame abilities
See I love the idea of Skys automatically being quirkless and how that would impact Izuku in the Kyouya-nii AU. Because look this baby feral gets taken in hand by the Ultimate Feral right?
And you know Hibari is gonna be like "strength is all that really matters" at Izuku and isn't going to actually give a shit that he's quirkless. Especially once he realizes hey the smallest animal is also a Sky so that means he has his own bullshit abilities that Hibari can beat into shape.
And Izuku who is going to get a crash course in how a quirk ultimately doesn't mean jackshit if the person you're fighting can't take a fucking hit is going to eat that the fuck up.
So now we're gonna have a feral Izuku who no longer gives a shit that he's quirkless. Not only because it Does Not Matter but also because he's got his own power now too. One that, one day, will help him have A Family all his own.
But then he catches All Might's attention too and ends up being offered OFA and OF COURSE he's going to take it.
And, well, no one is ready for a Sky of Izuku's strength and training being super charged by OFA

As promised, the flame types of Hitman Reborn.
Sky flames - Characteristic: Harmony •Users of this flame are known to possess great insight, are generally the leaders of the group, and are known for accepting everyone.
Storm flames - Characteristic: Disntegration •Users of this flame are often hot heads and stubborn. They generally are the most offensive of their group, and the most destructive.
Rain flames - Characteristic: Tranquility •Users of this flame are calm and collected, serving as the mediators of the group. They are most known for washing away the conflicts that occur.
Sun flames - Characteristic: Activation •Users of this flame are the light of the group and provide joy to others. Someone them are also the doctors of the group, and are generally known for taking on threats with their own body.
Lightning flames - Characteristic: Hardening •Users of this flame act as lightning rods, pulling threats away from the group. They are also extremely tough, acting as a shield for their allies.
Mist flames - Characteristic: Construction •Users of this flame are secretive and aid the group by creating distractions to prevent enemies from finding them. They are also good at information gathering and can keep the enemy from figuring out what the group does and doesn’t know.
And last but not least
Cloud flames - Characteristic: Propagation •Users of this flame tend to be aloof and withdrawn from the group, but will act when their leader calls upon them. They help the protect the family by increasing the amount of attacks the enemy has to deal with.
These are just the basics, and there’s more to them, but this shall suffice for now.

I want a khr x pjo/hoo crossover so fucking bad
Like
Imagine the chaos
Skull the immortal stuntman is a son of hades who just,,, refuses to go see his dad because Reasons™️ and Thanatos lets him get away with it because he’s playing favorites
Hestia saw baby Tsuna once and went, “he’s Perfect” and gave him all the blessings ever (is he also a demigod, or perhaps a legacy? Maybe)
The gods seeing the Arcobaleno curse and just ignoring it because their assholes and don’t see it as their problem (the earthlings are some sort of divine race, possibly created to watch over humans so the gods could bum around)
Child of Hecate Mukuro?
Hibari has to be just Some Guy though, absolutely no godly blood
Reborn is also not allowed to be any part god, it’d give him too much power
(This spawned from the idea the Sky Flames are basically just Hestia and her hearth in a nutshell)
HELP THIS IS SO FUNNY
Skull being immortal not because wig any flame nonsense but fully because of his own daddy issues is perhaps the most in character and hilarious thing I’ve ever heard.
Tbh I want Tsuna to be a full demigod because the insult to injury of Iemitsu not even being his real dad and just in fact really bad at math is very funny to me but that leaves figuring out what god cucked Iemitsu. But I do however love the idea of him being Hestia’s little guy. You know she would be so upset with Iemitsu about Tsuna getting bound.
Zeus: *sees the mess that is the Arcobaleno
Zeus: Not my circus not my monkeys.
Hades: that’s easy for you to say. One of them is VERY MUCH MY MONKEY
Yes absolutely yes for Hecate and mukuro. (Possibly chrome as another child of Hecate or another god? Many thoughts.)
Oh hibari and Reborn have to be just some guys. Like there’s no other option. They would take over the world otherwise and it is also really funny for the two biggest god complexes to… not be related to gods in the slightest.
Squalo is a son of Ares. Xanxus is a son of Nemesis. Luss absolutely has Aphrodite blood somewhere in his family tree. Bel might be another Just Some Guy tbh that would be very funny
